Timoteo is out with a new collection. This one features Underwear, Swimwear, Shirts, and more! Over the last few years he has expanded the line to include Cellblock13, a more “fetish” line. A Preview of Pistol Pete

IMG_8170 - BPistol Pete has always had their own unique style. I have met with them the last few years and it’s always good to catch up with them and find out whats going on. This year they have a lot planned and kicked off the new collection with pics featuring model Eric Turner. What can you expect from them this year? Well here are the things you should look out for:

  • Trying to do a variety of things to let someone express themselves, this will be done through the embellishment, colors and art work.
  • They will be making own fabrics and prints for this collection.
  • Create an expression of ones personality from the swim or underwear
  • The nations jock will have multiple colors of the nation and a shield with the nation
  • More erotic with rings and snaps as part of the embellishment
  • Staying away form simple blacks and white, going with color pop and color blocking
  • Some erotic fun stuff such as pattern meshes so when it lays it creates a pattern rather then mesh
  • Incorporating sublimation printing and get creative. Also get creative in artwork and create paper that is printed on the fabric, it’s Unique and that pattern will be the same on every pair of underwear.
  • There will a patriotic feel with the Nautical inspired pairs
  • Big part is having a retro look to previous Pistol Pete
  • Retro will include belts and buckles on the swim. Unique embellishments
  • The new line will have tease factor with open windows on legs, butt, or front, revealing just enough skin to make it sexy and not vulgar

In C-IN2

New C-IN2 for 2013

C-IN2 has some really great new collections. Some of them are refreshed many of their lines and new ones. One of the new ones that I love is the new active wear line. The new active wear line is creative and C-IN2 put their own spin on it. It was one of the best things I saw at Magic. I want to thank C-IN2 for meeting with us!

Not all of these lines are out, but we will let you know when it’s out but here are some things that will be released.

Pop Color

  • Jewel tones this year
  • Typically do six color and doing only four colors
  • Really rich colors
  • Red, purple, teal and blue

Dip Dye

  • Due out Fall
  • Shirts are double dipped, dark to light from the middle (SS13)-POP COLOR
  • Long and short sleeves
  • Underwear is sideway New!
  • Doing long sleeve shirt, and pima cotton same as tank

Hand me down

  • Bringing in a rugby stripe
  • New navy, orange, yellow, ash (yellow Chartreuse)
  • Same burnout as before just added stripe
  • Simplified the line, doesn’t do a piping on the leg, more consistent
  • Tank, V-neck in same stripes

Filthy

  • Three colors, grey, blue and pink
  • Done even a little dirtier
  • Each one different because the filthy distressing is done by hand

New Two Pack

  • Cotton spandex blend
  • Added a diamond texture
  • Brief, trunk and boxer brief
  • T shirt and v neck
  • White and black but will add colors neutral and color

Grip

French Terry sweats

  • Zipper on the back
  • Heather, same a core , Lean short and not baggy and shapeless
  • Also in a skinny pants, Zipper on the back pocket
  • V-neck and hoodie available
  • Great details on the on back and paid to details!
  • Some of the long sleeves in solid and heathers
  • Will also have zip Henley’s
  • Long sleeve polo, put color on by hitting the shirt and puts it in certain areas. Causes inconsistency in the garment to accent
  • In a heather and black as well

Grip

  • Work out pants and shorts
  • Lined with day glow green
  • Windbreaker with knit inserts and moves with you
  • Polo in same line, treated with bamboo carbon fiber
  • Stretch work out shorts with zipper pocket in the back
  • Also in sleeveless and nylon spandex
  • Taken as well with insert in back
  • Pant in in fleece lining with nylon inserts
  • Zipper jacket in fleece

In Ken Wroy Underwear

New Brand Ken Wroy – Magic Feb 2012

Going to Magic every year allows me to find new underwear brands. They are always great to talk to and find out how they got into business. One of those brands is Ken Wroy. They are based out of New York and have been in business this last year. They emailed me before the show and I got a chance to sit down and find out about the new collection. I was told this collection is done in the spirit of New York City.

The collection will feature:

  • A reverse NYC print that looks great
  • Jersey colors in grey/orange/blue
  • Jazz man print that’s really fun
  • Hounds tooth print
  • Giraffe which is one of my favorite that they say women have picked for their men
  • Orange pin wheel print that men pick for themselves
  • Carnival print  that is another great print

The goal of Ken Wroy is to make underwear a fashion accessory and be fashionable all the way, not just on the outside! They went on to say “Socks and Underwear are an outlet of expression” We couldn’t agree more. We love it when we see this level of passion from a new company.

In Confidence Project

The mission here at UNB is to show that everyone should love and feel great in their underwear. No matter what sexual orientation, size, ethnicity or anything. Underwear should be fun and make you feel good. I know that kind of sounds silly to some but those of us who love underwear, and read this blog, just get that and really understand it.

A while back I was approached by FreshPair to write about how when I was laid off underwear was one thing I didn’t cut back on and it was one of the luxuries I allowed myself. I’m hoping they run it if not, it looks like they have taken the concept in a really cool new direction.

The Confidence Project is  “Bare-all stories from people everywhere about life below the surface. Because, there’s nothing ordinary about underwear. “ They have up posts from both men and women and their stories about underwear. It’s one of the most creative ideas I have seen to bring underwear into the mainstream. I def will interview them about this soon. But I wanted to bring this to your attention.

I met with them in Vegas and here in Atlanta. They are definitely a brand to watch. They are finalizing everything as we speak and we will let you know when they are available. Underwear of the Week – Geovanny Mesh Briefs

It’s officially spring here and we needed a fun pair that will put you in the mood for summer. So the pair we chose to be the underwear of the week is the Geovanny Mesh Briefs. Geovanny started his underwear career after being a go-go dancer, he wore plenty of underwear in his day and decided put his knowledge of what makes good undies to work and started his own line. He’s now in his second collection and the Mesh Brief is part of that collection.

I had the chance to meet him a few years back  at Magic and he’s always impressed me. He has a great eye for design and his styles are always fun and flattering. Over the last few years he has developed his signature style that is shown in his underwear and swimwear.

The Mesh Brief has the signature Geovanny styling. The material of the pair is a slightly see through mesh. Meaning you can’t see all the business but after you look hard enough you can def tell it’s mesh. The material is more like a sports mesh then sheer nylon mesh. The pair also has the signature Geovanny waistband with the Geovanny brand name on it. The pouch is one he’s known for, he created his own pouch design that sets it apart from other underwear brands. This pair is available in white and Black.

New 2(X)ist for 2013 – Magic Coverage

This year I got to sit down with Jason Scarlatti, Creative Director at 2(x)ist, and go over the lines that will be out later this year. It’s always fun to sit down with him and we appreciate him taking the time to talk to us. The one thing I love about 2(X)ist they like to have undies that fit and look great, They aren’t stuck making the same colors year after year. This year 2(x)ist is going play with waistbands, colors, materials and patterns. You can expect some really fun things from 2(X)ist. Last year has brought us Love, Speed and Gold. If you liked those brands wait till you see this up coming collection.

Sleek Mesh (Above)

  • A mesh line in 5 colors that will feature black, red, navy and purple
  • Purple looks amazing
  • Will be available in three styles
  • Tank will only in black white

Pro Line (below left)

  • Has a white rubber 2xist logo on the hip
  • Will be available in a brief and trunk,
  • Minimalist logo on the inside

Chevron

  • This line will have a color block story and cut into the body in new ways
