It may not seem it in places, but swimwear season is approaching. It’s time to start picking out what you want to wear to have fun in the sun. One Company that I enjoy is Smithers; I have two pairs that I wear during the summer. However, they just dropped The Protagonist Houndstooth Navy & Oat.

Today I choose a pair that I don’t have, and for long-time readers, you may go, “WHAT? You don’t own a type of singlet?” The answer to that question is yes. I do not own any backless singlets. However, Barcode Berlin has this great singlet in quite a few colors.

The Singlet is Backless Singlet Bastin. It’s super fun and well backless. I know these are super popular for bar nights and, well, as we say here sexy fun time. I didn’t choose this singlet simply because it was backless but the cut. It’s an excellent cut for a singlet with a deep-cut front and shorter legs. Even without the back, I would have recommended it for another Fetish Friday.

The colors are Black/White, Red/White, Royal/White, DarkArmy/Black, and titanium/black. My favorite is the royal and red singlets, but the black/white is fun too. Check them out and enjoy them.

I love doing Jockstrap Wednesdays; these posts give me a chance to profile some of my favorite pairs. One of my favorite jocks is Cocksox. And there are several reasons why I think this jock is a must-have in any guy’s underwear drawer.

The pouch is amazing – Cocksox makes one of my favorite pouches ever. This pouch will give you a lift, support, and show off a bit when wearing under jeans.
The Design – This jock will appeal to many guys due to some design choices. The waistband is not super thick; while it’s a bit larger than underwear, it’s still smaller than the 3-inch classic design. Second is the leg straps, which are smaller and will hold everything in place without rolling or getting twisted.
Colors – The jock comes in solid colors, but every so often they release it in many of their prints. It’s awesome to see prints in jocks, I think we need more!

Did you know that UNB has a line of shirts? We have several that are focused on underwear and gear! You can now wear these shirts to the beach, or pool, or run errands. Not only that but we also have some stickers as well. Here are the shirts we have for sell:

The start of it all was the original “Proud Thonger” Tee. This was the first shirt I created for thong lovers. It’s very simple.

Our “Athletic Supporter” shirt is one for Jock fans out there. It proclaims you support lots of athletics. Including the jock itself.

My play on the “Masc Jock” is this shirt. It features a Pink Jock . Perfect to wear out to a bar night to show off your “masculinity.”

One of the first things I ever designed was this for Instagram. It’s a take on the I LOVE NYC but it’s “I love love love Underwear.” A simple but fun shirt

Our version 2 of the “Proud Thonger” Shirt is a little more direct for those who really want to show off their thong love.

Everyone loves Andy, and we had to put him on a thonger shirt as well so the third version of the shirt features Andy in his thong poolside.

New – Brief History Podcasts and Posts

We will start some history of underwear podcasts and posts called “Brief History of Men’s underwear.” We will tell you about the origins of modern underwear, like the jockstrap. We will also tackle things like underwear in the 70s/80s, adverting of underwear, and more.

Undies Cub, aka Stevie, came to me with this idea, which I have always wanted to do, but he inspired me to do these fun shows. We have a few ideas worked up and on our list and recently recorded the history of the jockstrap and will do more of these!

I think this is a fun idea. It’s so interesting to find out how things came about. The hard part is there isn’t a lot of history out there on underwear. This means some shows will take some digging and our memories and opinions. For instance, I want to do a podcast about UnderGear, a powerhouse in the world of men’s underwear, and so many guys have a history that I think it’s essential to include some of our own stories about the brand. We have had the documentary of UnderGear, but I’d love to get a few guys to send in their memories of shopping and the gear.

If you guys have some great history ideas, let us know, or if you have anything to add to our podcasts, feel free to send us an email or DM, and we could share it on a future podcast.
