How appropriate I write this on Thursday, as the ultimate throwback Thursday. One of the biggest highlights of UNB has been going to Vegas and spending time with people in the industry. I would meet them at the show, and we even did a Meet & Greet at the Luxor for many years. But over the years, the number of brands has decreased from a high of 40 to 8 the last time I went to Project (you remember the one I went to the Hospital, ugh).
Shortly after my last trip to Vegas, COVID took over the world, and the Aug 2020 and Feb 2021 shows were canceled. But, they decided to put on the August 2021 show. I booked my hotel and airfare back in May, thinking, “Hey, it’s hot girl summer, we’ll be back to normal, no masks, and it will be a somewhat normal trip to Vegas.” Well, that was WRONG. Cases in lower Nevada are a national hotspot for Covid. I have been double vaxed, so I should be good, but I know three people who were double vaxed who caught covid.
As the list looks right now there are about 4 brands that I will possibly see and I haven’t found out who are in suites yet. I think COVID put an end to the underwear brands going to trade shows. Usually, I go all out and do a ton of amazing posts for Magic but my last few months have been rough on me. I had a health scare that occupied me from May till July. I have since been given the all-clear but for weeks it was on my mind. But it Made me think, I am going to run a lot of the Survey results over the four days I am gone. There may be only 2 posts a day. Because I hope I can relax some, but if I’m in my hotel room destressing, I may post a few new posts, wifi willing.
My plan for the show is:
Go so the Show that Monday and see what’s up. I will probably be done that day.
Go to some seminars on growing a business, I mean it can’t hurt since I’m registered
Mask up everywhere! Yeah I’m Going to be that guy in the casinos and I don’t care.
Try to have some fun and relaxation after my last horrible trip to Vegas.
Meet up with some local friends and hopefully one of our new podcasters (You’ll hear more about that later)
I will do a follow up and let you know how it went. But being a store gives me more access and makes things a lot easier. Registering to be press was a pain in the @ss, and they always lost my registration. Now as a retailer/buyer I get right in and have no issues.
Cheapundies.com has made some amazing videos over the years. I don’t think they have done any since the pandemic. This takes you back five years to 2016. If you missed it enjoy it now.

We sent you back to July 2014 for today’s Brief Distraction. This is a pair from Marcuse from their line for 2014. They are still making amazing swimwear. This year and the whole pandemic hasn’t slowed them down at all. Glad to see them making incredible swim.
John Sievers is one of those lines that I feel is under the radar. It’s well known in certain circles of the underwear world but in others it’s unknown. The John Sievers line is know for it’s amazing pouch. We have covered the line for years. I have quite a few pairs as well and enjoy them immensely. If you love a great pouch, this is the pair for you and if you pack a little in the front, this line is definitely for you. It’s made so you feel so comfy no matter what your size. You hang free and feel amazing all day.
The new line is the Stretch Mesh Natural Pouch line. It comes in two styles, a brief and boxer briefs. Sorry thong fans, there aren’t any in this line. However, the line does has several thongs! The colors of this collection are not in your face but a little on the classic side and I like the three they picked.
Crafted in sports mesh for the very first time, the John Sievers Natural Pouch Brief will forever change the way you think about your underwear. Unlike the old fashioned pouches on most other briefs, the revolutionary John Sievers “Natural Pouch” has a special, deeply-contoured shape that conforms perfectly to your male anatomy. The perforated mesh material is lightweight with 4-way stretch that forms to every muscle while remaining breathable and comfortable

If you are a certain age, you remember when Speedos (and I mean the brand Speedo) was everywhere at the Olympics. Swimmers always wore them on the starting block. Water Polo players wore two of them at once. Divers always left the board in the small tight swimwear. It was what inspired me to get my first “Speedo.” It was during an Olympic year that I got my very first pair.
I want to say it was the 90’s/early 2000’s that the swimmers moved away from the Speedo to the body suits and finally the jammers. Granted I love the jammers, as so many know I”m a fan of spandex in may forms and shapes. It’s just not the same seeing the guys lined up on the block all in speedos. Plus, the swimming usually had more air time than any other sport that guys wore speedos.
So where can you find the speedos? The first place that is getting more air time is Diving. Divers have never given up the speedo for any other style of swimwear. If you were just watching the Tokyo Games you saw Tom Daley and his diving partner Matty Lee snag the gold for Synchronized Diving. The Speedos they wear (not all are official speedo brands some are Arena and more) are more competition cut, meaning they are a bigger cut. And really all the swim briefs are that size, sorry guys no skimpy gear.
The other place you see Speedos is in Water Polo, but you don’t really see the guys out of the water that much. And I have yet to learn the rules of Water Polo. It’s a super hard sport, Try playing a game and having to tread water for an hour and see how you feel.
Do you guys miss the Speedos? Should Swimmers bring it back? Share your thoughts.
Do you love pink spandex? If you do one brand to get amazing gear created is Skin Fit. You can get briefs, thongs, bodysuits, singlets, tights and more!

Bad news! One of our favorite jocks is on it’s way out but the good news is you can get them for 30% off right now. Be sure to snag these unique sports jocks with their super-soft brushed cotton pouches before their gong for good.
It’s hard to believe it was possible, but Omtex has improved on what is one of our most popular gym supporters. Like the first edition Omtex jockstraps, they still have the awesome brushed cotton pouch that our customers love, but with Neo, they’ve wrapped the waistband and leg straps with the same brushed cotton fabric so you still get the fit and support you need but with an added touch of comfort.
Omtex Neo Supporters have a sturdy 3 inch wide comfortable ribbed elastic waistband wrapped in brushed cotton and one inch wide elastic leg straps (also wrapped in cotton) with a double walled cotton pouch to help soak up all the extra moisture and sweat from those heavy workout sessions.
A front centered green Omtex logo on the waistband, a contrasting green vertical double stitch down the pouch and traditional detail label in green and black adds a stylish touch without losing it’s masculine edge.
With this sale you can now pick up our Omtex Neo Jocks for just $9.77 (USD). At this price, they won’t last long.

CELLBLOCK 13 ROGUE X REFLECTIVE ZIPPER JOCKS AND HARNESSES
Harness your inner deviant with Cellblock 13’s latest and arguably hottest collection yet for 2021. It’s actually inspired by Rogue, one of CB13’s most popular collections from a few years back except this time they’ve upped the ante by making the new collection more stylish with the addition of reflective detailing and also sexier with the addition of a functional zipper in the jockstraps – hence the name of this new collection: Rogue X (or as we’re calling it, Rogue XXX).
Here’s the details:
The Rogue X Reflective Zipper Jockstrap is a true homage to the original Rogue Jockstrap with the addition of the above mentioned reflective detailing and functional zipper. It’s a classic Cellblock 13 design that’s quality all the way. With a main pouch color and upper reflective corners divided by black piping that matches the piping edging the pouch. And then there’s the zipper: Running all the way down the pouch with a protective backing to ensure your tackle doesn’t get caught when you’re called into action.
The waistband is equally awesome. It’s a full two inches wide and it’s plushed for added comfort. With large front and center CELLBLOCK 13 woven right into the band so onlookers know what they’re getting into when they mess with you. And one final touch that set CB13 apart from the rest – the one inch wide leg straps are subtly embossed with a repeating Cellblock 13 logo. Just wow!
Versatile. That’s the best way to describe The Rogue X Neoprene Reflective Harness. Consisting of a series of neoprene straps made with a stunning textured neoprene (rubber) and edged in contrasting piping with a center reflective stripe running along all the straps. Shoulder straps attach to two large black metal rings both in front and back. Straps run between the rings both across your shoulder blades and across your chest. More straps hook up to another rings under each armpit.
But here’s where things get versatile: vertical straps snap on to the armpit rings and run down the front ending in two black swivel hooks. You can hook these up to any CB13 jock with D rings (like the Rogue X Jockstrap) or you can hook them up to the belt loops of your favorite pair of jeans. You can even remove the down straps for a stand-alone harness to wear with anything you like.
Finally, the harness length is adjustable using a series of sizing snaps.
Do you watch Bravo as much as I do? Well, I was watching RHOBH last night and the preview for Family Karma came on and two of the guys were talking about launching their own underwear line. It made my ears pick up. They created the new brand Underwear Dance Party or UDP.
Bravo TV’s Family Karma’s Amrit and Vishal envisioned UDP (or Underwear Dance Party) as more than a brand. To America’s favorite Indian bromance, UDP is the ultimate lifestyle.
The duo created UDP to inspire individuals to embrace authenticity. Their luxury underwear line empowers individuals to be bold, carefree, and live a life free of judgment.
UDP puts an end to monotonous men’s underwear. Why worry your life away when you could be experiencing an epic Underwear Dance Party!

Today we take a peek into the undies drawers of you guys. What’s in your drawers and what do you wear? We asked what was your favorite style and as you saw the thong is the favorite followed by the bikini. But today we asked what other styles do you wear. I love a bikini but that doesn’t mean I don’t wear a thong, jock, brief or such. I even wear the really long boxer briefs that are like bike shorts. Not often but I do find them sexy and hot to wear.
Here are the pairs you guys wear:
Like our favorite style, thongs are very popular. Even though 20% never wear them that leaves 80% of you guys who do wear the style.
This one did make me happy, I think briefs were the least of the “never wear”. I would say briefs are the most worn pair out of the bunch. I think most guys have briefs and wear them on a some what regular basis even if it’s not your main stye.
Jocks are interesting. I know they have a very specific audience. It used to be very much a gay pair but over the years it’s grown. I think more guys are wearing jocks for more than just working out. They have a cycle, every few years they pick up and then go out of popularity.
I thought we were going to have a huge bikini resurgence but the thong jumped the bikini. But guys are still wearing them and loving the style. My prediction is that they will continue to grow and gain more popularity.
This comes as no surprise. I didn’t expect to see a lot of you guys wearing boxer briefs. Most of our guys prefer skimpier styles. But, over 50% of you wear them some of the times.
I knew trunks would be a bit more popular than Boxer Briefs. Trunks seem to be more acceptable with our guys and I think they find them more comfortable. There isn’t as much material
Last is the Jock Brief. Not many of you wear the hybrid. Back when UNB Started we had a lot of guys who wore them but over the years it’s not a very popular style.
Have you worn a swim thong yet? As they gain in popularity more brands are coming out with them. JOR is making super fun swim thongs in many different styles, colors, prints and materials. Check out all the thongs.
