We want to share your story. We want to bring all guys together regardless of sexuality around great underwear. We published one this past weekend! We want more of you to celebrate your love of underwear among like minded guys! Fill out the form above and we’ll email you the template!

Hunk2 is a new brand we think you guys need to know about. We got a chance to sit down and ask them a few questions:

For our readers who are unfamiliar with your brand, can you tell us about your brand?

Hunk² is a brand created in 2016. We are a group of men (with combined backgrounds in fashion, graphic design, engineering and e-commerce) who share a passion for fashion – specifically, men’s underwear.

As we were discussing our recent underwear shopping experiences last year, we realized that we all shared a dislike for brands using large logos all over their underwear.

Men’s underwear brands seemed to come in two main categories (with not much in-between): comfort brands and design brands.

The “comfort brands” provided very comfortable underwear, but were not very attractive or fashionable. On the other hand, the “design brands” looked great, but they were uncomfortable and the manufacturers seemed more interested in just promoting their brand with large logos than in making a high quality, great-fitting product.

Hunk² was born to be the perfect balance between top quality and comfort, for men like us who want to wear the best, without becoming a walking advertisement for a brand. Our products are designed to speak for themselves, and we feel that customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth will be the best advertisement for our brand.

Your tag line is “Striking Confidence!” How did you come up with it and what does it mean?

We use two slogans: Striking Confidence and The Power of Two Men.

The first slogan refers to what our brand embraces: the image of a man who projects confidence and power, and wants to look and feel great.

You’ll notice that our models do not follow the typical underwear model standards. While they look great, they do not have a perfect six pack or a ripped body. We are actually starting to work with a Brazilian photographer who has a campaign to show beauty in more natural looking gay men. With too many brands out there already showcasing the perfect looking jock, Hunk²’s focus is instead on making regular men look beautiful and feel great.

The second slogan refers to the ² in our brand name: Hunk². Being LGBT ourselves, we wanted to create a brand that supports the image of two sexy, masculine men. We do not mean only physical power – we refer mostly to the power and confidence projected by men who have gone through many things (including their own perceptions) to be together.

What has been the reaction to the brand?

We’ve had very good feedback so far on both the designs and fit of our underwear and swimsuits. Customers have also kindly suggested styles and new designs for our future collections. We are appreciative of all customer feedback, and we will be taking their suggestions into account when working on new products.

Your underwear has boxer briefs, jocks and thongs. Why don’t you have briefs? Do you have any plans to release briefs?

We did originally have briefs planned for our first collection, but as we got deeper into design and production, we honestly became a bit overwhelmed and decided to focus on a smaller number of products at first to make sure that we got everything right. We hope to release our new briefs line by summer 2017.

You also dare guys to try thongs and jocks? Why do you think this is important for guys to try new things in underwear?

I don’t think any of us wear the jocks and thongs ourselves, but we do think that they are super sexy – we probably wouldn’t at all mind our partners wearing them. While we based most of our creations on our likes and experiences, we know that our audience is much more diverse than the Hunk² team. We created the jocks and thongs with our most adventurous customers in mind.

Prints play a big part in your design, how do you find your prints you use to create underwear and swimwear?

Great catch! That’s one of the main aspects of Hunk²: fun, creative prints. We feel that there are already too many blocky & boring underwear designs on the market, and we wanted to make something different.

We wanted to be creative and bring vibrant colors, curves, pockets, prints, and more. We typically select what message we want to transmit with a certain product, and then we find the colors and shapes that best help us transmit that message.

It really helps when you design for an audience that you are part of, since we do not have to struggle with marketing avatars. We are the avatars!

For example, we all love to travel and so we created Alphae Voyageur² with that in mind. We love the circus, so we created Alphae Chemin² inspired in a circus tent. And so on.

What has been your best selling print?

Alphae Voyageur², and the reason is clear to us. We created this design for all of the adventurous men who are as passionate as we are about travelling the world and having new experiences. Men like us who know the emotions and excitement that can be stirred by something as simple as a world map.

Designing is one thing, but creating the physical product when you work with these kind of prints is very challenging. That’s the reason why most brands only design swimwear using solid colors. But creating fun designs like the Alphae Voyageur² or Patrie² is part of the fun, and it’s part of that extra mile that Hunk² brings to its customers.

I have no idea why I love underwear, but I do! I’m a 33yr old engaged straight male. I can remember shopping at Kmart and seeing boxer Joe bikinis when I was about 13. I got my first pair of jockey string bikini when I was about that age. I fell in love with the feel of the support. At the same time, boxers were the ONLY aging acceptable to wear so I always hid the bikini and rarely wore it.

Over the next 15 years, I would secretly purchase Covington bikinis and boxer Joe thongs. I would only wear them by myself and hardly ever out of the house. In my early 20’s I finally got “caught” by an ex-girlfriend in my Covington bikini and it changed the way I started feeling about not being embarrassed anymore. Of course, she laughed at them, but I strangely enjoyed it.

I was still hesitant to wear them more over the next few years. Time went by and I moved a few times, i threw out old pairs and continued to mainly wear boxers. I’ve now been in a relationship with a woman for 12 years and she found out I wore bikinis about 9 years ago. She hated them, thought it was gay, not manly at all! I was like wtf! I’ve always liked the feeling of getting caught wearing tiny underwear so I continued to occasionally wear them.

Over the past two years, I found CK thongs online. I couldn’t believe how awesome they felt. I now wear thongs, and hip briefs everyday. Boxers maybe to bed once a week. I wear briefs to work and thongs at home and a combo of both any other time I’m not working. My favorite brand is Obviously. I also wear Big Boys Pants and John Sievers. I love pouch underwear. The support and the feeling of sexiness are unreal!

I finally after 12 years have the support from my fiancé about the briefs. I asked her what if she had to wear a t-shirt as a bra all day every day, she finally understood. She still doesn’t approve of thongs but I’m hopeful she will come around. We’ve had talks about them and how comfortable they are, but I think it’s going to take a little more time:) thanks for letting me share!

2EROS has been offering a range of swimwear, bodyware, and active wear in Australia since 2008 and they have a new style of swimwear to add to their collection which is the V60. The V60 swimwear is a low rise bikini style with a reinforced waist band. It looks like a great pair of swimwear and is available now. I have not tried a pair of their swimwear, but I think I may need to try a pair this summer.

The V60 swimwear is only available in the tiger print currently. According to 2EROS the Tiger is inspired by the tiger which is brave, competitive, unpredictable, and confident. It’s a low rise bikini style pair of swimwear with a reinforced waist band and the iconic 2EROS front pouch with a front lining. The V60 swimwear is quick dry material that is made of 85% polyester and 15% elastane.

Guys can wear this swimwear to the beach, the pool, or be sunning at home in the back yard. Be brave this summer and break away from those board shorts.

I love the low rise design of this swimwear. Nobody wants a waistband that comes up to their naval. The reinforced waistband will be a feature so that you’re confident that they will not slip down. The quick dry material will be nice so that when you get out of the water you’re not walking all wet for a long time waiting for your swimwear to dry.

I haven’t tried these out yet, but I think I may need to. If you are in the market for some new swimwear this summer, be brave, competitive, unpredictable, and confident. Step out of the board shorts and get the 2EROS V60 Tiger low rise swimwear. They are available now, so hurry before they run out. For more information or to order go to www.2eros.com.

One of our newest writers is Sawyer. This is his journey into how he discovered underwear.

My story started when I was about 19 and was in need of some new underwear. I was tall and skinny, which I still am. The whitey tighties didn’t fit well because they would come up to my belly button or higher. I lived in what some may call a rural area and still do. This was before e-bay and the internet so the options were limited to Meijer,

Wal-Mart, and JCPenney, I went to search my options and bought a 5 pack of Faded Glory bikini style underwear from Wal-Mart. They were the first pair of underwear that had a decent fit for someone of my build. Then I tried the string bikini cut Fruit of the Looms and my appreciation of better fitting and feeling underwear began. After a few years of wearing the bikini style underwear, I got up enough nerve to buy a thong to try. Since then I have also tried boxer briefs and boxers.

The first pairs of underwear I bought did change what I like and look for in underwear. I want a pair that fits well. A good fitting pair of underwear can change your mood, give you confidence, makes you feel sexy, and so on.

Faded Glory and a few other brands have disappeared out of the big box stores. Sometimes they have a replacement brand depending on what city you are in. Until I found UNB, I was unaware of the various brands of underwear. I only knew of a couple and the imports from China on ebay. But, I have since moved from the big box store brands to other brands like Bodyaware and Cocksox. UNB has opened up a whole new world of underwear to try that I never knew existed..

I had a friend in college that I knew wore bikini style underwear. Knowing that he wore them gave me the confidence to try something other than whitey tighties. Once I ran into a friend while buying some new underwear when I first started buying something other than whitey tighties and she gave me her opinion on what she liked to see men wear. So that has always stuck in my mind.

I still normally wear the bikini cut underwear similar in style to the first ones I bought. But I will wear most any style of underwear depending on what I will be doing. The only style of underwear I don’t care for is boxers.

Greek brand Modus Vivendi has just released a brand new line of underwear and streetwear featuring a neo-retro polkadot design. Great style never gets old so the label revisited the trend and brought it back in fashion! The Modus Vivendi PolkaDot line comprises three styles of underwear (low cut briefs, briefs and boxer briefs), a tank top, a shirt and a bermuda style pair of shorts in this pattern.

The campaign of this line is inspired by the 1950’s barber shops. It represents a way of living with honour to tradition. Models Christos Efremidis and Christos Kitsiou as the barber and the client are photographed by the talented team of P2Photography on location in Thessaloniki, Greece. We hope you like it as much as we do!

I often think of “boxer briefs” as the “sofa bed” of underwear — it’s neither! Sofa beds are lousy sofas and awful beds. Boxer briefs, I often think, fall into the same pit of indecision: they aren’t great boxers and suck as briefs — yet they’re often the midpoint from traditional (i.e. crappy) underwear to the good stuff we write about on UNB.

Xtremen isn’t a wishy-washy brand. It happily lives at the extreme and invites men to join them on the edge. You know, the best thing about underwear is that it’s your choice with whom you share it. Unlike our outer layers which are on public display, what’s behind the zipper is visible to only those lucky enough to catch a glimpse — which may be just us! Sure, hitting the gym or a doctor’s appointment may influence a decision to tone it down but thankfully, even in those settings, men are getting more comfortable with vibrant colors and daring styles.

So, if you’re a fan of the somewhere-in-the-middle boxer brief but want to ramp up the sexy quotient — point your browser (or anything else…!) to Xtremen and embrace your inner exhibitionist!

First — about the brand:

Xtremen men’s underwear is, like the name suggests, designed for extreme wear. Each style is specially designed to endure the rigors of everyday wear, but with a dash of style. The high-quality fabrics in the Xtremen men’s underwear include stretch microfiber, athletic micro mesh, and a cotton mesh blend, all geared to provide long lasting comfort and amazing support. Styles in the Xtremen men’s underwear collection include trunks and boxer briefs. Xtremen is ideal for everyday wear when you want a dash of style and comfort that still makes a statement.

Now — the main event:

The Xtremen 91013 Boxer Brief features a subtle line design that shows off your finest assets in a sexy display of skin thanks to its transparent fabric on the legs. The pouch is made from ultra-soft fabric for a touch of modesty and is contoured to lift and support, giving you a more enhanced frontal profile.

The underwear is hand made in Colombia – South America with USA and Colombian fabrics which are composed of 80% Nylon 10% Polyester 10% Spandex.

The boxer brief is nice and low and falls just below natural waistline and sports a wide elastic logo waistband so you can advertise your sexy selection at will! And, of course, the pouch is contoured for support and definition — we’d have it no other way!

These come in black, blue, and white, and in sizes ranging from small to extra large. They cost $14 and are available at the company website.

Enjoy your visit to the extreme!

Not everyone who reads UNB wants to go to the skimpiest bikini or thong. There are quite a few who like boxer briefs and prefer them to work out in. Jack Adams has a new pair that boxer brief fans need to know about. It’s the Air Trainer Boxer Briefs. They are part of the Spring 2017 Collection

The official description is: Jack Adams Air Trainer Trunk designed with a horizontal fly for quick access with nature calls and a contoured pouch to nestle the boys for support. The fabric is micro Lenzing Modal that offers the finest comfort, breathability and hugging form. Made of 95% Lenzing Micro Modal and 5% Elastane

What you guys Will love about the pair:

  • It has a functional fly. There is a number of guys out there who prefer a functional fly.Sometimes it’s a design thing and other times its functional
  • Contoured pouch design. The one thing that seems to be universal with UNB readers is a great pouch. No matter the size of the guy, one that gives amazing support and doesn’t contract you is top of the list.
  • Lenzing Modal Material – Modal is amazingly soft. It feels so good on the skin. Put this in a pair to work out and it’s a total win!
  • Simple waistband – Believe it or not we have guys who are not big waistband fans. For those who like something more low key this pair has a black waistband that will accent the pair and not draw attention to it. It’s a classic style that can be worn in the locker room without shouting what your underwear is.

It’s SWIMWEAR SUNDAY! The time of the week we celebrate amazing swimwear! One of the underrated swimwear brands on the market is WildmanT. Tim has made some amazing pairs of swim over the years. Some even featured enhancing features. While others were really cool and well designed briefs and trunks.

The official announcement is:

“Introducing Sportivo!  The sporty and masculine bikini designed for the tough guy.  It’s that little sexy black bikini every real guy should have with a hot kick of color to stand out.  Features one racing stripe on the crotch and two stripes on the right side.  It draws attention where you want it most.  Fits like a glove that you won’t want to take off.”

The pair is a bigger cut brief. It reminds me of speedos swimmers used to wear in the 80s/90s. I think the bigger cut looks good on many body types. Including beefy guys, who sometimes feel that they can’t pull off a swim brief. WildmanT, I think, is going after the guy who wouldn’t normally wear a swim brief with the Sportivo line. I say BRAVO WildmanT. It’s time we start marketing to the guys who are weary of swim briefs.

The pairs are solid with a stripe down the front and the sides. It’s not over the top but more of a classic design. It’s a great first swim brief for guys. If you jump in and go too skimpy, the swim brief may not fit well. I say try the larger ones and then go skimpier.

The pair is made out of an 80% Nylon / 20% Spandex fabric. One thing newcomers may like is it’s lined. Meaning you won’t show off your goods.  Available in a few colors, so you will be able to pick out your favorite color! Lastly, it has a drawstring waist. Which is pretty standard in swimwear.

If you are going to try your first swim brief, we think you should try the WildmanT Sportivo Bikini

BRAND: WildmanT
PAIR: Sportivo Bikini
COLORS: Black/Yellow, Black/Red, Black/Purple, Red/White, Teal/White, and Purple.
FABRIC: 80% Nylon / 20% Spandex
SIZES: Small – X-Large
COST: $45.50

JOR is well known for its prints. Every year they release such new prints. It really amazes me how the find all these prints. It’s not like they have one print they just changed the color or changed up a few things. They have prints that consist of cities, plants, animals, and more.

In the new prints, they are the Choco, Dandy, Pride, Tatocoa, Parce, Amazonia and Salento. These are just limited to the underwear and not swimwear. There are even more in the swimwear collection. We will have more on those soon because there is not enough space in this post to cover it all!

Most of the styles have a tank, boxer (boxer brief), and brief. I will say that I wish they had the thong and jock included in all the prints! I think they would go over well!

Choco Print

The Choco print is a tropical print featuring leaves on a white background. This one is just available in the tank and boxer.

Dandy Print

Dandy is a more subtle print. It has a light blue or mint background. Each one has an anchor on them. The tank has a bit more graphic elements

Pride Print

JOR has a Pride print for a while. It’s a rainbow inspired design. It’s not the literal interpretation of the pride flag. The colors are a bit darker. All three have the saying “You Make Me Happy – Peace and Love”

Tatocoa Print

This is probably my favorite print. It’s a photo print with writing and graphics over the print. This line also has a jock and thong.

Parce Print

Is another photo print mixed with graphic elements. The photo is a city print. I really like the teal/light blue accent color on the pairs.

Amazonia Print

Looking for a bright waistband with a fun tropical print? This is for you. With flowers and a leopard on the pairs. Done in bright floral colors.

Salento Print

The Salento is a mix of stripes and a floral print. The yellow and blue stripes made a great background for the flower print.

I wanted to give you a quick overview on the new stripes. See the entire collection at the JOR website.
