Men’s Underwear

Category

PetitQ is synonymous with two things: pushing the design envelope and skimpy undies. Their new Pigalle bikini does not disappoint on either front. The first thing that jumps out at you from the beginning is the color: a deep, inky blue that you don’t see often in guys’ underwear. There is also a black color option, but this midnight blue steals the show. This bikini also has two other distinct traits: racy lace fabric and a very aggressive cut.

Men’s lace underwear can be very polarizing. Those who love it swear by it and those who say they don’t like it probably haven’t tried a great pair (or any at all). PetitQ nails a couple of details that will make anyone want to try this pair. The biggest feature is a contour pouch, which means you get the look and feel of airy lace but with the comfort and room that every guy needs. Some guys try women’s panties out of curiosity to see how lace would feel, but get discouraged with the lack of room up front. PetitQ solves this and also gives you that sexy feeling of lace. The back is claimed to be full coverage but it’s more of a cheeky cut that perfectly complements the overall look and feel of that sultry blue lace. The sides are slim and high cut and the whole pair is edged in a really cool scallop cut. This hits all definitions of a bikini!

Lace underwear is incredibly popular with women and it’s a shame there’s not more styles available for guys or guys willing to try it. Girls love it for many reasons, and the awesome look and feel of it against your body are only a few of them. Available in sizes small to extra large, this pair is available right now for $23.

Many of you may know CityLad78 on Twitter. He’s a big fan of suits and undies. He’s not afraid to show off in either! He’s been a few of our Brief Distractions before?! We thought he would be a great guy to talk about underwear and suits. Many of you out there wear them on a daily basis. You should be wearing something fun under.

We have many readers who see a suit as a uniform, rather than have fun with it, some dread it. You don’t have this view. You have fun with suits and underwear. How did you discover your love of suits and also underwear?

“I’ve been into suits since my first city job in London 13 years ago. Working in an office full of suited lads and noticing who looked good made me want to take pride in how I look when suited. Of course, we’ve all tried to check those underwear lines out underneath a suit and that was when I started to take a strong interest in underwear in general. ”

How do you pick underwear to go under your suits? Does the color and fabric of the suit affect your underwear choice for the day? Are there any rules you follow for underwear and suits?

“No set rules that I follow but I kind of plan for the day depending on my schedule. For example, if I know I’m going to be stuck in meeting after meeting in the office then I want to be comfortable so will choose a pair of fitted chinlon/spandex boxers for example. If I’m out and about on the road then you can’t beat a jockstrap as you walk between meeting to meeting to enjoy the strapped feeling and the air around your arse and looking at who is trying to spot those jock lines ;)”

In a picture we posted the tartan briefs matched your tie, which is something I have done, do you do this often?

“Not consciously if I’m short of time in the morning. But if I allow myself the time to get ready then coordination really enhances some of the undies and ties that I wear. And, of course, especially if I’m showing off my outfit for that day.”

I have seen you post pictures in a blue and grey suit. What have you worn under them in the past?

“The blue suit is my favourite, steel blue. Always get told I look my best on that one. I’ve worn standard boxers, boxer briefs and classic Jockeys which are a personal favourite. A jockstrap would be worn for fun, say, on a quiet kind of day. I really like the feel of the mixed spandex fabrics as it keeps me ‘alert’ and I have tons of undies like that!”

In your pictures on Twitter you have a variety of underwear styles, what is your favorite to wear (Brief, bikini, jock, trunk, thong, etc)? And why?

“Briefs! And Y-front briefs at that. Namely Jockey Y’s. There is just something so hot about that them. If I delved into too much then I probably wouldn’t find it hot. So I like the mystery of not quite knowing why they turn me on when I wear them under my suit.”

What is the wildest thing you have ever worn under a suit?

“Freeballing with c-ring ”

Guys who have to wear suits every day, what advice can you give them for picking amazing underwear to wear with it?

“Make it fun for yourself. Being suited should be fun, even when you’re stuck in the dullest of labour days. Wear something that’s going to remind you constantly how good it feels and how good you look underneath ( and to anyone who might get the lucky opportunity ).”

Are you a fan of skimpy and fun undies? Do you love the designs of PetitQ? If you answered yes to either of those questions. Rejoice, because there is a new line of PetitQ out now. This is the first collection for 2017. We hope that they put out a few more collections throughout this year.

This new collection is a bit skimpier than the others, in my opinion. It has a lot more thongs, bikinis and cut outs. I won’t go into specific pairs. Our guys are picking out some of their favorites. They will be talking about them in the next week or two. Stay tuned for those posts. We won’t cover every pair but we will be giving a big overview.

I really like the vibe PetitQ gives. They focus on making the sexiest underwear possible. Thier designs are pretty unique as well. One of my favorites they came out with were the chaps. A pair of boxer briefs with the crotch cut out and a pouch covering your goods. This was a lot of fun and cool to me.

Another thing I love about the brand. They mix the masculine and feminine pretty well. There aren’t many fabrics they won’t use. They have used lace, spandex and more. They continue to blur lines and make some really sexy and fun undies. The same goes for colors. They have used more non-traditional colors such as pastels, pinks, and others not considered “masculine” by the general public. However, it really works well with their brand.

Stay tuned for the new write ups. You can see the new collection at Candyman Fashion site. Go take a look.

This pair of underwear was furnished by Male Power for review.

Rating: 7.2/10

Pros: Nice loud color, black light responsiveness.

Cons: Annoying care tag.

Underweardude recommendation: If you are looking to add a pop of color to your thong collection, this line fits the bill.

I received this pair from Male Power to review, and I’ve got to say right off the bat, that this is a really sexy pair! The Neon Orange color that I received is wonderful, bright and vibrant. Male Power states that the pair is black light responsive but I was unable to test it, but that might make it a good pair for clubbing, and is certainly a fun addition. Male Power states it has “sexy torso-baring sling styling”, and it sure does! It features a very daring super low rise curved front, and if wearing this in public I might recommend manscaping. I quite like that curved front look, so if it’s your thing too check this pair out. The back is slightly small, but in the normal range for guys thongs. The fit was just fine for me as well.

The pouch looks small at first, but once you pit it on it fits great. The spandex material has some stretch, but not exceptional. As long as you aren’t packing some serious heat, you should be good in this pair. The spandex does not feel exceptionally smooth to the touch but is quite comfortable when worn.

My only real complaint with this pair is that the care tag is the length of the entire depth of the triangular back part of the strap, almost too long, and can move about and become a nuisance. Luckily, a pair of sizers solves that problem easily. I also found the stitching on the back of the elastic to be slightly rough, but not noticeable during normal wear. The waistband is also practically nonexistent, so if you prefer your pairs to have a real waistband, this pair is not for you.

I would certainly recommend this pair. Every time I put it on it made me feel extremely confident and sexy. I wore this pair on a busy Thong  Thursday and had no problems with it. If you want a sleek, sexy thong to show off what you’ve got, check this pair out.

We are a firm believer at UNB that guys should wear whatever they feel the best wearing. It can be a thong, boxer briefs, silk, mesh, cotton or spandex. This extends to guys of all sizes and shapes. No one should have to be limited to wearing something because styles aren’t made in your size. Currently, many brands don’t make underwear over the size 38-inch waist. Speaking as a guy who’s over this size, it can be frustrating to find underwear, only to find out it’s not for you.

BodyAware is taking this on! They are going to start making underwear in 3XL sizing. This is great news for bigger guys everywhere.

What is BodyAware doing?

They are believers in that all guys should wear great undies. They are going to expand a few of their lines to 3XL starting this month. Then they will be expanding the sizing over the next few months. It’s great to see another company take this step. Here is their words from their blog post announcing the extended sizing.

The idea of being/feeling sexy doesn’t just limit itself to the clothes you wear; it also applies your underwear! People who are bigger deserve to have sexy underwear that flatters their body, rather than only reserving the skin-tight, revealing underwear to those who have “socially-acceptable” body sizes. If someone wants to wear a sexy thong, then gosh darn it, they should be able to wear a thong, even if they’re plus-size!

Here at BodyAware, we’re aware of this issue in the world of fashion, so we’re doing what we can to make everyone feel included by offering size 3XL in many of our popular styles!

What is BodyAware Offering in Extended sizing:

This is a list of what is currently out or will be out soon. Over the next few months, there will be more styles and colors in extended sizing. Note some styles may be limited in colors.

If you are in the need of expanded sizing or want to support a company who is doing it. Go shop at BodyAware now!. Note, that I couldn’t find a bigger guy in BodyAware undies so I had to use a regular picture.

Male Power furnished the Athletic Sport Mini Short for review.

Rating: 8.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10

  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: Great pouch, stretchy fabric, and great pouch

Cons: mesh was annoying at one point.

UNB Tim recommendation: I enjoyed this pair. It’s great for a regular day doing work. It can be work working out or lounging around the house. The pouch was my favorite thing. It fits great and gave me ample support throughout the day.

Male Power has some interesting undies. They have always been known for some of the over the top and fun styles. However, in the last few years, they have been making some more “mainstream” underwear. Don’t worry they are still making the erotic pairs, but they are making some traditional styles with their own spin on it. Like the Athletic Mini Short

This pair has a traditional trunk cut. Which felt nice with a great pouch. The way Male Power put their spin on it was the fabric. It’s made out of a sports mesh fabric. Which wasn’t totally see through but it makes you feel a little bit sexy throughout the day.

I wore these to my part time job. Luckily, I am going back full time this next week for a few months. It’s a lot of manual lifting and running around. They felt great throughout the day. The only thing that got me was if your manhood doesn’t line up, the holes in the fabric can rub you the wrong way, Literally. This happens to me from time to time with mesh. Do you guys have the same issue?

Two of the big plusses were the fabric and pouch. The fabric was super stretchy and felt great throughout the day. Other than the issue above, which after I adjusted it didn’t bother me. I love undies that are tighter and keep everything in place. A second was the pouch. Many times I get trunks without a defined pouch. The lack of support will drive me crazy.

Sizing for me in this pair was spot on. It wasn’t too tight. Some of their pairs I have had in the past vary in the sizing. I think the new lines are more consistent than some of the older ones. Just make sure you double check the sizing chart. This line I don’t think you will have too many issues with sizing.

I enjoyed this pair a lot. While I’m not the biggest trunk guy. I think I will wear these on a regular basis. This is one of the pairs I love with a great pouch and fabric. It gives me the support I need on a daily basis.

Pros: Cool snap fly.

Cons: Sizing is a bit off.

Underweardude recommendation: If you are looking for a fun sexy thong for the bedroom, this is worth a look.

Male Power, the venerable underwear brand that has been making snazzy underwear for guys since the 70’s has come out with it’s 2017 lineup, and I’ve got an interesting pair that I received from them to review, the Snap Thong. What makes this pair different from most, if any pairs, I’ve encountered, are the three snaps buttons that cross diagonally above the right hip, and form the connection to that side.

So what did I like about this pair? First off, it had real character. The mesh was fun, but it wasn’t too wide so you couldn’t really see anything until up close. Combined with the fun snap feature, I can see this pair becoming a real big hit in the bedroom. The rest of the thong itself is your standard thong shape, as much as there is one these days. The dark blue mesh of the pair I received combined well with the white elastic trim. The pouch is fine, if not exceptional, with some stretch provided by the material. I was also curious to see how the fly would work in less, romantic situations. It worked better than I expected, though I dared not try it in public. I would not want to go through the difficulty and embarrassment of fumbling with my underwear for that long in a public restroom, or pray that no one heard the snap as it was closed. The snaps appear to be well made, of high quality.

This pair was not without its faults, however. The thong strap is too wide in between the legs for my tastes, and the way the white trim is on the back strap does not look very flattering in my opinion. I also had an issue with sizing. I’m a bit of a scrawny guy but usually, size small pairs work for me. The tag, (a small one thank goodness), states the pair to be a S/M, so perhaps that is why the pair is a bit loose. It is still fine for me just lounging around the house, but I would not try to say, going for a run in it. This size issue causes the fabric that the snaps lay on upfront to bulge slightly.

Then we come to the snaps. They are quite hard to remove, which I guess is sort of a good thing when three snaps are holding your underwear together, but it also makes it impossible to remove even one with just one hand, lowering the sex appeal of the pair for me a bit.Once a second hand is applied the snaps come off easily and quickly. The snap fly is also on the right side of the pair, which may be annoying to some wearers who are left handed.

Overall, I want to like this pair. It is sexy, fun, with a great party piece in the snaps. By no means is this pair a bad thong. It’s just not a great thong. It just isn’t and alls round all day thong. It’s a pair that its purpose is in the bedroom, and it has enough there to be useful. Its major flaw is that it doesn’t fit me in particular. I am sure there are many men for which this thong will fit perfectly. Alas, I am not one of them. Despite its limited use, the Male Power Snap Thong has some characteristics that make it quite attractive for that use, so if you are looking for a pair to wear for fun times, give the pair a look.

We will not be doing coverage of Magic/Project this week. In years past, I would go and meet with the brands. Then cover them the weeks after. It is a great chance to get face time with brands. Talk to them about what they have planned and see how we can help them get the word out on their new lines. Last August we sent Undies Rock to cover the show for us. Unfortunately, this year I wasn’t able to attend due to costs and no one else was able to fill in.

But there is a way you can help us go to Magic. Many people I have talked to ask why we do a Patreon program for the blog. This is one of the reasons. Travel is expensive when going to Las Vegas. I am able to do it for around $1,000 – $1,200 and that’s on a budget. For each person that goes, it will be roughly that much.

We want to use the money you guys give us to expand our video content, travel to LA and Vegas to meet with brands, buy review pairs and more. We get some money for advertising but it doesn’t cover all we want to do and cover for you guys. I personally think that getting time in front of brands has been key to the success of UNB. It’s not that we cover the brands, we know the people behind them.

Everyone who writes at UNB is a massive underwear lover. From myself down to our newest guy. We have a big passion and do it on a small budget. We do a lot on a small budget! We only seem big and glamorous. lol We hope you will consider donating $1 to us a month. If we had half of our readers to donate $1 we could travel and do a lot more!

Visit the UNB Patreon page for more information to donate or contact us here for more information. I will be happy to answer any questions.

Hi, my name is Keith, and I’m addicted to underwear.

Truthfully, I don’t think I’ve crossed into addict territory yet. But my wallet has been groaning a bit the last couple months. I am as new to the underwear scene as I am to this site, and it has certainly been an interesting experience. I’ve never given underwear much thought– until age 18. My mom generally stocked that drawer in my dresser. Usually with the back-to-school special from the local supermarket. Once I hit college, money was scarce, bills were aplenty. When I had an extra buck or two, it usually found its way to the beer fund. New underwear wasn’t even on the radar, let alone premium underwear with a premium price tag.

I’m now 28 and have a grown-up job, grown-up bills, and a grown-up relationship. My partner and I moved in together one year ago this month and as many do, share a dresser. It was evident we have very different taste in underwear. For my birthday this past November, out of love (or disgust), he gave me my first two pairs of nicer underwear. They were simple Stance boxer briefs with fun prints. As I am easily amused, this was a bit of a home run. I flew home for Christmas wearing underwear with reindeer on them. Win. What blew my mind, was how comfortable they were. Light, smooth, airy, and I almost forgot I was wearing them. Double-win. That was really the tipping point. Once you wear something like that, you really can’t go back the all-white Haines boxer briefs. Before my trip home, I placed an order for an exorbitant amount of underwear on the 2(x)ist website (they were having a New Year’s sale, and it was the only brand I had recalled hearing much about).

Since I didn’t know much about underwear fit and my personal preferences, I ordered it all. Boxer briefs, briefs, jock-briefs, jocks, bikinis, and trunks in a mix of cotton and various poly-blends (it really was an insane order…). Having tried them for a few weeks now, I tend to gravitate towards the boxer briefs, trunks, and briefs. These are definitely a bit more conservative, and for getting my toes wet, much more comfortable. Also as a bigger guy (~6’2’’, a 36 waist, and solid 250lbs), I prefer a little support and the comfort of knowing I’m not hanging out in all the wrong places…

Which leads to this. A classically-trained pianist by night, and Immunologist by day writing for an underwear blog (folks, they truly are for everyone). I’m looking forward to starting this journey and sharing my experiences with the readers. I’ll give you the good and the bad, and look forward to suggestions. There are a lot of underwear out there, and I’ve got a few years worth to catch up on.
