Andrew Christian furnished the Almost Naked Steel Tagless Brief for review.

Rating: 8.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 7/10
  • Sizing: 8/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: Great stripe, soft Fabric, amazing cut.

Cons: Pouch is cut smaller than normal Almost Naked line.

SALVATORE Recommendation: I have been eyeballing this brief since Andrew Christian released it a while back. Andrew Christian’s Almost Naked line is what caused me to seriously consider anatomical pouches back in 2011. Since then, I always try and scope out his new products. Andrew Christian always produces superior products.

90045_brief_4_copyI do believe that every man should have the finest that the industry has to offer. Because I enjoy the anatomical pouch, I consider myself a student of the evolution of ergonometry (Yes, I just made that word up)! Andrew Christian is definitely one of the top producers of anatomical pouches to date. This brief took me by surprise. The pouch was much tighter and more restrictive than the typical Andrew Christian Almost Naked anatomical pouch. I found the pouch binding and almost uncomfortable. This brief’s pouch finds it’s best use in the gym or playing sports that need restriction in the crotch area of the underwear.

The fabric is amazing. I am not sure how Andrew Christian has perfected a cotton/lycra blend that feels so great. The lightweight airy feel of the brief truly lives up to it’s namesake—Almost Naked. I could barely feel the fabric next to my skin. This is something I always enjoy as a base layer.

The construction of the brief is absolutely top notch. The design and production teams in Los Angeles spare not expense in creating near perfection. Stylish and appropriate for all types of wear and use, the Andrew Christian Almost Naked Steel Tagless Brief is a great addition to my top drawer and I recommend that you give it a shot as well.

swimthongOver the last two years, the popularity of thongs has grown. It also shows no signs of slowing down. Across all guys (gay, straight or bi) seem to be wearing them for underwear. However, will this carry over to the world of swimwear? I’m not saying that every guy will be sporting a thong but the popularity will increase.

Swim thongs have been very popular among a small set of men. They are very passionate about the style and have had meet ups in Palm Springs and other areas. While it was mainly gay guys, the style is growing among all men. We are starting to see new thong swimwear from JOR and new company Cockpit Undies (More on them soon!).

Unlike swim briefs, thongs leave a bit less to the imagination. Your assets are on display for all to see. Some guys this is a benefit, while other see this as a deal breaker. I have worn them years ago but I don’t have much in the asset department. When I did wear them, they were a lot of fun to wear. I never wore them at a pool party or beach. It was pretty much at a private pool.

The benefits of a swim thong, yes there are benefits! Thongs have less material than swim briefs and shorts. It allows for a much greater freedom of movement. Many of you guys talk about how you hate shorts in water. They never dry and feel like you’re swimming with rocks. With a thong, you have neither of these issues. Also, you get a more all over tan. This is good if you hate tan lines. Lastly, it’s as bare as you can dare on many beaches.

Would I wear them now? Honestly, it’s a maybe. It would have to be in a thong friendly environment. It wouldn’t be a local pool or beach. It would have other men of all shapes and sizes wearing them. As more thongs come out for swimwear, we will let you guys know!

Would you wear a swim thong?

modalFabric can make or break a pair of underwear. There is nothing worse than seeing a pair of underwear that looks amazing. Only to put it on and realize that it scratchy, confining and no give fabric. Fabric is one of the most important things in underwear to me. My favorite fabric for underwear is Modal.

Why Modal you ask?

It’s Super Soft

Modal is one of the softest fabrics I have ever worn. The first time I slid on a Modal pair of underwear was like the first time I slid on my first pair of bikinis. This is the fabric I have waited on for years. It felt amazing against my skin. One thing to know that it offers less support than other fabrics. If you are a fan of ergonomically designed pouches, It will not be made out of Modal.

Breathability and Moisture Control

Modal is a very breathable fabric. It is perfect for working out, running or being active. You won’t have underwear that feels like you went swimming. This is why I am not a fan of 100% cotton underwear. If you are active your underwear feels like you went swimming and never gets dry. Modal will allow everything to breathe and feel great.

Feels Great

Not only will it feel great against your skin. It will make you feel amazing. When you wear fabrics you love, you feel better throughout the day. We firmly believe that underwear brings you confidence. We don’t think you should wear something that doesn’t bring you comfort. Modal makes me feel amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone needing underwear to be active and feel great in!

Which Brands Use Modal?

Many brands now use Modal? One of my favorite lines was Cocksox Backstage, which is no longer made. Obviously is a company that is making great pouches out of the Modal. Tani is another brand using a good amount of Modal in their lines as well. Even new comers, such as Krakatoa, are depending on the fabric.

We hope you will try Modal if you haven’t, we will bring you more fabrics soon!

90036_brief-_1_-copyThis pair was furnished by Andrew Christian for review

Rating: 9/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Super comfortable mesh fabric
  • Great supportive pouch
  • Sexy design perfect for every day wear

Cons:

  • Those guys who don’t like bright waistband may not like the FUKR band
  • If you’re conservative in underwear choice this is not for you
  • Mesh isn’t for everyone

UNB Tim’s Recommendation:

If you want a super sexy and fun pair of underwear. The Andrew Christian FUKR Net Brief 90036 is it. The mesh fabric is one of the best I ever tried. It’s fun, sexy and amazingly comfortable. I recommend this pair for anyone wanting to try or who already love mesh underwear

We got a few pairs of new Andrew Christian to review. One pair I was very curious about was the FUKR Net Brief. I am a fan of mesh but it’s not all meshes. There are a few that make you feel like you are rubbing your manhood against a cheese grater. Ok, that was a little too over the top but it’s true. Some mesh fabrics were made to be taken off. I had a bit worried about this pair but I was going to give it a try.

I wore these on a weekend day where it was going to be around the house. Just in case things went down hill with these. The first thing I noticed was the pouch. Net underwear in the past really haven’t had great pouches. I slid them on and I was seriously impressed. The mesh didn’t feel like mesh. It felt more like a solid fabric. It never got annoying at all. To say I was impressed is an understatement. The fabric was pretty incredible. I could have worn these on a regular day. Where have these been in the HOT southern summer.

The pair is made out of the following fabric. The Light Cool Fabric Content: 57% Cotton 38% Polyester 5% Spandex and Soft Contrast Stretch Fabric Content: 93% Cotton 7% Spandex. This fabric really impressed me. I was not expecting it to be so comfortable throughout the day. It was a very wise choice of them to use.

The sizing of the pair was pretty much as guaranteed. I wore and XL and that is my normal size. It fit me just fine. Make sure you double check the size chart. I don’t recall anyone really complaining about AC and their sizing. You should be good picking

I really liked this pair. I will wear it much more and not just on date nights. The FUKR brief is perfect for hot and humid weather like Atlanta in 90+ degree heat. If you’re looking for something super sexy and fun, give this brief a look. I don’t think you will be disappointed

is_brief_greenforest_01_160909142106aussieBum is on a roll. They have released quite a few new ranges over the last few weeks. One of the latest ranges is the CottonRidge. It’s more of a conservative line or as we like to say, a classic line. Some of our readers may go “boring.” But we all need classic pairs in our underwear drawers.

The CottonRidge range is a 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane fabric blend. The Elastane will give it just enough stretch to feel great. The older I get the less I am a fan of 100% cotton underwear. I prefer 5% or more of another fabric such as Elastane or Spandex/lycra.

The colors available in this range are Army, Denim, Marble, and Ocean. The four colors are available in a brief and hipster. Each style has the aussieBum branded waistband in black and white. The design is a very classic design in color and style.

The range has been enhanced over previous collections. This new CottonRidge has enhanced shaping and pouch. For the majority of our readers a great pouch design is needed. There are very few things, outside of itchy tags, you guys hate more. It has to be supportive and comfortable over a range of guys size. Pouches are not for just the hung guys.

This range is a limited edition collection as well. If you like it, you better act fast. They won’t guarantee that the collection will be around much longer! Most limited edition collections aren’t around too long before the popular sizes are sold out!

I personally like the collection. As I stated above, we all need classic pairs in our underwear drawer. We may not always be able to wear our favorite thong or jock to an event. These are great to have in those instances.

Wearing Great Underwear Gives Me Fashion

I was trying to think of something different than what I normally say about what underwear gives me,. My normal answers are it gives me confidence or makes me feel sexy. I came up with it giving me fashion. A definition of fashion would say something like a popular trend. Now that isn’t how I see it. We all have our own fashion sense. I’m far from being fashionable especially by that definition (jeans and t-shirt please). I suppose some people would say my underwear isn’t fashionable, since bikinis and thongs aren’t what people think guys wear. I don’t consider something that is the norm as fashionable either.

Moving on to why I think underwear gives me fashion. First off I care about what pair of underwear I wear. I’d say someone that is trying to be fashionable would care what pants and shirt they wear. I don’t mean I care about what brand the underwear is. I care that I have a selection of styles, colors, fabrics. I don’t want to wear the same style and color day after day. Wouldn’t that be boring and unfashionable?

I actually try to make sure the underwear looks good on me in the mirror! I don’t do that with my outer clothes, but jeans and a t-shirts don’t look much different. I bet someone trying to look fashionable checks themselves out in the mirror to make sure they’re looking good. Or maybe I’m just narcissistic there, but highly doubt that. Ok, I’m going to sneak in pretty much what I always say about underwear. Wouldn’t you say that how you dress can give you confidence and make you feel sexy? Hope you said yes, since my so called fashionable underwear does that for me.

In the end I don’t see fashion as wearing the popular trending thing or some big name brand that everyone knows. Fashion is the personal style that makes you you. What makes me me is my choice in underwear, so that is why I consider underwear giving me some fashion. Fashion is in the eye of the beholder.

Gregg Homme is out with a new video! One that features model Gil Soares. Here is what Gregg Homme has to say about the video:

Our newest video featuring Gil Soares, the well-known fashion model and his 4-legged best friend, the one and only: Sherlock Bones!

nasty-pig-union-suit-2016-26

This is a big deal. Nasty Pig usually does one single production run of their union suits so when they’re gone, they’re gone until next year. Jockstrap Central brings in what they can but consistently sell out within weeks and countless customers end up being left out in the cold.. .literally. In other words, snag them while you can.

It doesn’t get more masculine and sexy than this. Union suits conjure up images of the working man and while Nasty Pig respects the union suit’s past with their version yet they improve it in every way. As expected, they’re available in classic union suit color red, in serious black and new for this year, a very masculine military olive-green.

Instead of the traditional flannel, Nasty Pig uses their signature super-soft, top quality lightly ribbed spandex/cotton underwear fabric. Here’s the hottest part: the snap closure that runs down the chest also runs all the way under the crotch and around to the back ending just above the butt – is an innovative back closure solution, way sexier than the traditional flap. Need we mention that the snap closure, both front and back, make for an easy exit and entry. Finally, the union suit is finished with a tone on tone Nasty Pig logo on the left chest.

Wear them everywhere you want: under your jeans when you hit the streets, paired with a sick set of high tops, or be truly unique and wear them as outerwear before it’s gets too cold. You can even wear them with nothing at all next to a roaring fire on Christmas morning.

Of course there is one thing hotter than a Nasty Pig Union Suit and that’s a Nasty Pig Union Suit presented the Jockstrap Central way. They’ve got their favorite exhibitionist models Adam Stray and Caleb King to gear up and let’s just say there may be a few explicit shots over at their website. Grab a towel and enjoy yourself.!

Hello my beautiful deviants and fantastic miscreants,

I hope you are all welcoming the slightly cooler weather. Maybe putting away your summer fetish wears. Transitioning your winter kink wardrobe out of the closet. For those of you in the bay area, or willing to travel, this weekend is the superb Folsom Street Fair! Every year, this is a major event featuring vendors, celebrities of the leather/porn industry. Fantastic public displays of kink and whimsy. I haven’t gone, but I really want to figure out going next year. It sounds like it’s the Diagon Alley of Leather world (you Harry Potter fans got me, right?). So, as a reader of Fetish Friday, you probably have a nice array of kinky jocks and thongs by now. So why not, get a really nice frame to put that masterpiece in. Today, I present to you, the Chap Short from Mr. S Leather (fitting tribute to Folsom Street as Mr. S is based in San Fran).

chapshort1

These chap shorts are made out of super premium garment leather. The waistband buckles in front. It has lacing up the back of the waistband for further adjustment. Featuring a 5” inseam, you will not be hiding those gorgeous thigh muscles. With these chap shorts, you get full access, front and back; perfect for all occasions. Holsters on the side, allow you to keep phone, money, keys. I’d suggest keeping the sides low profile, so the bulge in center is the focus.

chapshort4

Everything about this is black, leather, hardware, thread, lacing…you can use this for fun, or as part of your naughty burglar costume for Halloween. I can tell you from experience (sadly, not owning, but shopping in the Mr. S Leather store in San Fran), their leather quality control is superb. I know you’ll feel like you’re in sexy time heaven in these shorts.

chapshort2

The sizing for these is kind of cool. You pick a thigh measurement, and it allows 2 options for waist measurements (both which include wiggle room because of the buckle and lacing). So, what style are you gonna rock, a leather jock underneath? Or how bout a surprise and get a fancy shimmery spandex thong to go bold with contrast? A chainmail pouch? You can choose anything in your arsenal, the world is your oyster.

chapshort3

To get this chap short, go to the Mr. S Leather website (please note, the things being worn that cover the junk in these pics are not part of the chap).

If any of you are going to Folsom, please take pictures and send them to me, I’ll be here, sitting around, twiddling my thumbs, wishing I was there.

874-torrid-whiteI am not the biggest thong lover in the world men’s underwear. I got my start wearing I think it was Sauvage thongs. All I remember is they looked like striper wear. I even wore them to the gym a few times. Then I stumbled across the 2(X)IST Y-Back thong. It really opened my eyes to wearing thongs on a more daily basis. They weren’t something to show off in but rather undies for everyday wear.

One of my current thongs that is a must have is the Gregg Homme Torrid. A warning, when you get this in the mail, if you order online. The package will feel empty. Next, when you take it out of the package, it will look way too small. You will have the thought, “How will my junk fit in this tiny thong?” Once you slide it on you will see the amazing stretch of the fabric it’s made out of. It fits like it was made just for you.

Why I like this pair? It’s got a pouch that fits so well. It conforms to your body no matter your size or shape. It’s not going designed for sports, so don’t expect it to be super tight. The fabric holds everything in place and feels great but it’s a looser fit. I like this because it will move throughout the day. Next, is the fabric. I don’t know where Gregg Homme gets their fabrics but it’s nothing short of magic. How can something so small hold everything in it and comfortably. Match that with the great feeling and it’s a winner. Lastly, is the string. Some of them I hate. It feels like I’m being rubbed the wrong way. This one makes me forget I”m wearing one throughout the day.

If you are new to thongs. Try this one out. It will be a fit and a color you will love! It’s a great starter thong. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but Gregg Homme is some of the best-made underwear brand on the market.

Thongs are becoming more and more popular. We have seen a big upswing in interest from you guys. I saw Ty Alexander on Twitter and he posts a lot of pics of him in thongs. We got his permission to use his pic for our Thong Thursday Brief Distraction. We asked him why he likes thongs. He said ” I like the feeling of being sexy under my clothes it’s kind of a little hidden secret you have all day.  Also if you have a natural bubble butt it allows it to jiggle a little more I think.”

2_7dab9e51-4a27-41c9-8ee4-2685c3c15387_largeIt’s Jockstrap Wednesday! We wanted to profile something that is on the fun side. We haven’t done too much with jock briefs. However, when I saw the new Go Softwear After Dark Flaunt Brief I had to profile it today! The After Dark line is one that is more fetish related, but this one you could wear anytime.

The brief has a solid pouch with a different color mesh material. The colors are vibrant and bright. This really sets off the black pouch and trim. Pair that with the matching color Hard Core waistband.Go Softwear has redesigned the 1 1/2 inch waistband. Those who are not fans of too crazy bands. The Hard Core name is in the same color as mesh and just on the front. The rest of the band is solid black.  Go Softwear has redesigned the 1 1/2 inch waistband. This means if it does show over your jeans, you will leave people guessing on what you have on!

The colors of the line are Black/Fuchsia, Black/Royal and Black/Lime. My favorite is the Fuchsia. Just something about the off setting black that I just love. The fabric is Fabric Content: 95% Rayon 5% Spandex. Mesh Fabric is 90% Nylon 10% Spandex. This allows for a “spacious front pouch.” The spandex will give a bit of a give and create a great pouch.

Go Softwear makes some really fun designs. The After Dark line has been one of their best sellers. It’s just a really fun line. This new Flaunt Brief fits in nicely. The colors contrast the black really well. It will stand out if you wear out or wear in! I say great job Go Softwear! We will bring you some of their new singlets soon!

csl88zhukaah6ccYou reading this blog means you love underwear. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay/bi/straight, you are all part of the underwear loving brotherhood. One thing that runs across all guys is we want our underwear to make us feel sexy. Wearing something under our clothes to work gives us extra confidence and self-esteem. A new brand, that can be considered on the wild side, I found is Bruno Men’s Wear.

Bruno Men’s Wear is a 100% Mexican company. They are founded and operate out of the state of Veracruz. You can see the Mexican heritage in some of the design colors they use. They are one of the few companies out of Mexico we have profiled. Their designs really stood out for me. Not only do they look to be on the wild side (bulging pouches, smaller cuts and interesting designs) but they look very comfortable too. They say they want to make men’s wear “that is sexy, masculine and sporty, while it be balancing evenly between comfort and fashion.” I think they really succeed at this.

One of the new lines is the MXNO. It’s a set of some great pairs of underwear. All of them tie in the Mexican colors into the designs. Here are a few of the pairs.

I am going to profile a few of their great designs. The first is the THONG MXNO-MX. This is not just a thong with a cut-out. It’s their take on the thong with the sex factor turned up. As you can see from the pics. The pouch is designed to fit you even with the cutouts. It’s also in the traditional Mexican colors. It’s just hot to me. They took a classic style and made it their own!

This one made me do a double take! This is the Bikini BRIEF MXNO-MX4. At first, I thought it was a thong but it’s a bikini. The right waistband has a loop that goes around the pouch. It holds it securely in place. They get big props for doing something innovative and fun. It’s making me want to try them.  This is my favorite of the pairs i have seen.

We have guys who love string bikinis. They are getting harder and harder to find. The Bikini BRIEF MXNO-MX1 is one, now with a super small waistband but none the less, it’s a string bikini design. Again, you see the Mexican heritage being tied into the pair with the waistband and trim colors. The Green and Red make the designs pop.

Just went you think it can’t get sexier they put their spin on the Jockstrap. The JOCKSTRAP MXNO-MX2. Made very similar to the string bikini mentioned above. However, the back is jock design with an extra strap going from the leg strap to the back of the waistband.

The last pair I’m going to cover is the thong. The THONG Bóxer MXNO-MX3. We can’t wrap up and not include the thong. The front is very much like a brief but the back is the thong design. I really like how the back is cut in the back. It allows you to show off your assets. Still super sexy!

I hope you will go see the tons of other gear at Bruno Men’s Wear. They have a lot more underwear. Not to mention swimwear, sportswear and accessories. All of them are super hot! I haven’t seen this available in any store in the US. Only place to order is off their website.

shapeMen’s shapewear is nothing new. It has been on the market for a few years. In theory, shapewear should make you appear thinner and slimmer. Women have been using it for years. Spanx the company known for women’s shapewear created a collection for men. The first collection was good. But didn’t deliver to men the Spanx experience women have been having.

Whats’ Wrong with Shapewear?

One of the big reasons I don’t think shapewear has taken off for men is function. I have tried many different kinds of shapewear. The shirts are a struggle to get on. It’s basically wrestling to get them on. You really need two people to put them on. Getting them off luckily is not as difficult, but it’s still a chore. I would love if they created a zipper or fastening system that allows it to go on easier and by yourself.

Unlike women’s brands a lot of the early men’s lines gave a little bit slimming. But not enough of a slimming effect that guys were expecting. Why struggle to put on a shirt when it gives you minimal results? More brands are looking at how to make their lines give better results.

The last thing is going to the bathroom. This is something often over looked. On women’s  shapewear. They have an opening that allows them to go to the Bathroom. On men’s it can be a struggle to get them down and out. Depending on the design. One company that didn’t overlook this is Gregg Home. Their Sculpt line they released in March/April took into account going to the bathroom. There is a slit between the wide waistband and the pouch. Easy access with out the hassle.

How To Fix Shapewear

The design of most men’s shapewear is pretty simple. I”m not saying we need to put in wild colors or patterns. I think the classic white and black are perfect for it. Most will not want to draw attention to the fact they are wearing it. The wilder the colors the more attention you will get.

I mentioned above the struggle to get it on. One thing I would love to see is a one piece design. That could be like a singlet. A  full body type of design would give better results and fit better. A zipper down the front that could ease in putting the pairs on. I’m still not sure if there should be a cut-out or specially designed pouch. To allow for ease of use for the bathroom. If there is a cut out you’d need to wear extra underwear for support.

This design would be tailored for a man’s body. Make sure it’s narrows the waist and broadens the shoulders. This design should also take into account the anatomy of a man. To ensure  it’s very comfortable. Plus, the design should be able to be worn under clothing without giving away the fact it’s shapewear.

We hope to do some more shapwear reviews soon. Stay tuned!
