PAK-890 WhiteSinglets and Bodysuits are exploding on the men’s underwear/gear market. Just when I think this trend is going to end more companies release new styles. Male Power is one of those companies. They have just released the Sheer Spandex Singlet. It’s more of a body suit than a traditional singlet but it’s still pretty fun.

These are not for everyone but the guys who read us that love them will like this. It’s like a brief with a tank attached. The sides are cut low and the tank section is sheer. As you can see the brief is solid. So you will be showing off but not showing it all off. Here is what Male Power has to say:

Sheer Spandex Singlet was created for the man who likes to stand out while he works out. This one piece garment combines a sheer, stretch mesh top and a solid, nylon spandex bottom.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it in the V-cut back with open sides and bikini that covers the bum but emphasizes its contour. Choose from three different colors, black, white and royal, and looked ripped while you’re doing your reps.

Find this at your favorite Male Power retailers.

underwear-issuesOne of the biggest complaints I hear from you guys is how underwear fit real guys. If you’re an underwear model with a 30-32 waist, you have no problem finding underwear. However, very few of us can consider ourselves male models.

Real guys have real issues with underwear. Some of the biggest issues we hear are from endowed guys, guys with butts, big thighs, bigger guys and smaller guys. I’m sure there are tons more out there. We want to tackle these issues on the blog!

In order to do this we need your help! We want to hear your issues in finding underwear. What are your biggest gripes? How do you overcome those issues?

We are looking for some guys to talk too and explore how we can meet these needs. Speaking as an endowed guy it’s hard to find underwear that fits in the pouch. You see a great pair of underwear and put them on and…. Well you don’t fit. Guys with butts have the same kinds of problems. They sometimes have to buy a pair of underwear a size up, which I don’t think still fits well. One area that I think is under represented is smaller guys. It may seem funny but guys under 29 inches have their own issues.

We are creating a Google Drive form you guys can fill out and offer your advice and problems. We would love to follow up and maybe interview you on the blog about the problem. All responses are confidential and if we interview/quote you, we can use a pseudonym.

Martone Red BikeWe love helping charities here at UNB. We have helped our own James with the AIDS Ride in California and try to post when we can about great charity events happening. I have gotten the chance to talk to Jack Mackenroth on Twitter and he’s been such a great guy. We post a lot of his underwear pics and when he asked about posting this i said sure. He’s working to raise $50,000 by making sexy selfies, heartfelt videos and Undies. He told me in an email that he would auction off undies for $250! Here is the official press release:

Former Project Runway designer turned HIV activist, Jack Mackenroth is attempting a feat that many individuals and companies are struggling to conquer – mobilizing and monetizing a massive social media following for the greater good. Known on social media for his scantily clad photos and sharp wit, mixed in with a dose of activism, Mackenroth has pledged to raise $50,000 (the individual fundraising record) for BRAKING AIDS® Ride (www.brakingaidsride.org) – a 285 mile bike ride from Boston to New York City benefitting Housing Works (www.housingworks.org), whose mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy and the provision of lifesaving services.

“Housing Works is honored that Jack is devoting his time, energy and social media prowess to raise awareness and funds for our fight to end AIDS and homelessness,” said Charles King, Housing Works CEO. “The money Jack raises will directly fund the lifesaving services we provide to nearly 4,000 individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. We’re looking forward to riding with him in September.”

With just seven weeks to reach his goal, Mackenroth is urging his devout following to donate to his fundraising effort by incentivizing them with sexy selfies and heartfelt videos that allow consumers to make a real difference for HIV, while getting tremendous social media exposure on Mackenroth’s personal channels, including his Twitter (107,000 followers), five Facebook accounts (250,000 followers) and Instagram (17,000 followers).  By donating $250 or more to the cause, consumers will receive a shirtless photo of Mackenroth, personalized with their name or social mediahandle on his chest.  For those looking to make a more substantial donation of a $1,000 or more, Mackenroth will up the stakes – offering a personalized ass pic—with 2 takers to date. The overall strategy has already yielded rapid results – raising $8,000 in just two weeks!

“Having been diagnosed as HIV-positive 25 years ago, this is a cause that is obviously a very personal one and although I have workedwith and lent my face to countless HIV charities, organizations and campaigns, I have never directly asked for donations,” said Jack Mackenroth. “I am setting the bar very high here to see what’s possible. I’m hopeful that others out there are as passionate as I am and are willing to support me.”

Two companies have also seen value in his ingenious, sexy marketing technique. Martone Cycling Co. (www.martonecycling.com) has donated two bikes to the ride, both of which will be used to help fuel fundraising efforts. By donating $100 dollars or more, consumers will automatically be entered in a raffle to win one of the bikes (pictured), while the second bike will be given to the person who is the highest overall fundraiser other than Mackenroth. The bikes retail for over $1500 dollars. SCRUFF, (www.SCRUFF.com) is also supporting BRAKING AIDS®Ride by purchasing team jerseys for Mackenroth’s team, The Mack Pack.  Additionally, SCRUFF will be matching up to $2,500 in donations later this month.

The Mack Pack, currently has 15 riders and to date they have collectively raised over $31,000. If anyone would like to ride they are still accepting registrations and welcome more members. Register here: http://info.housingworks.org/jack-mackenroth-social-media Jack added, “I’d like to beat the team total record as well which is close to $150,000. We’ll see if people who read this will be motivated enough and selfless enough to give money to total strangers who are really struggling on a day-to-day basis.

Mackenroth will also be utilizing his social media outlets from now until the end of the ride to document the amazing experience and capture the challenges, the humor and all the inspirational moments during his journey. BRAKING AIDS® Ride will kick off in Boston on Friday, September 12th and finish in New York City on Sunday, September 14th. You can help Mackenrot hmake a difference in the lives of people struggling with HIV and homelessness by donating at bit.ly/jackmack. You can also watch his touching video about why he is so inspired to take on this monumental challenge.

cocksox briefsOn the review table for today is the CXO3 Waistband Brief from Cocksox.  This is my first pair of underwear from Cocksox.  I was pretty excited when the package arrived and I realized what was inside.  Getting underwear is always fun, we all know that.  Upon examining them

I realized I was sent a pair of small briefs.  As you know I usually wear briefs in medium.  I was a bit concerned by this considering how small they looked when I held them up.  The fabric was soft and seemed stretchy enough to form to my butt and provide me with all day coverage.  I also took notice of the pouch and was curious to see how that fit, but more on that later.

When I wear a pair of underwear to review I prefer to go about my day as normal.  Doing abnormal activities wouldn’t allow me to give you all an honest and fair judgment.  Keeping true to this I wore them to work.  The key thing to mention here is that my pants are fairly tight fitting.  This is where it is important to mention the pouch of the underwear.  They push all your package right out front and don’t really allow them to be pushed back.  While wearing tighter pants this very evident as things could be seen through my pants.   Maybe this is why my sales for the day were better than everyone else’s.  As for the rest of wear, they stayed put.  No wedgies or misplaced leg holes throughout the day.  I will say that taking a bathroom break and trying to tuck myself back into the pouch was a bit challenging.  Once I was situated back into them I again took notice of my frontal protrusion.  Kinda funny really.

I mentioned earlier that I was sent a size small to test out.  Yes, I was concerned about how they would fit.  To be very honest I do feel that a medium would have been better, but the smalls weren’t bad either.  The rule I follow is that I wear small trunks and medium briefs, in most cases.  I always wear small jocks, except for Unico.  Exceptions to every rule you see.  This is a pair where following my rule for briefs would have been best.  According the website for Cocksox they do follow American sizing, but again we all know what works best for each of us.

Did I like them? Well to be honest, I’m still on the fence about that.  On one hand they were comfortable.  The material used to make them was soft and despite not being my usual size choice, still conformed nicely to my butt.  On the other hand though, they were a bit revealing and forceful in the way they presented my package.  I have found that a lot of the other lifting pouches still allow your outer clothing to push your package back not allowing too much to be revealed.  I think if I had worn them in a different setting they might have not shown as much, but again I want to give a fair review and most of my underwear will see a day work at some point or another.  I did ask my boyfriend for his thoughts and well, he said the front looked like a Peep.  I wish I was making that up.  I guess my final thought on whether I liked them or not is that yes, they are fun, but I’d probably go for a less pronounced pouch in the future.

Rating for this pair:

  • Daily Fit: 6
  • Sizing: 6
  • Construction/Materials: 8
  • Styling: 7
  • Daily Performance: 6
  • Overall: 6

Vernon Banner

We always hear some of you guys say you want to see real guys in underwear. You like the model shots but you want to see how the underwear fits real guys. Well, Garçon Model did that with it’s Kickstarter. They had one backer to be a model in a shoot. That person is Vernon.

Here is what Garçon Model said about the shoot:

“Vernon was flown in to Vancouver and was a great sport and a natural in front of the camera. His energy and positivity shined through in this beautiful photo shoot. Vernon became a friend and he’s now part of the GM family!”

They did a quick interview with Vernon and here is what he said:

1. What pushed you to make the Kickstarter pledge?

I am always open to new experiences.  Makes life interesting and exciting.  The only pledge level that struck a cord was the one involving the photo shoot.  Several years ago, I was into bodybuilding and, at the encouragement of friends, I had professional photos taken.  The photographer suggested that I consider print work.  I joined a couple of “casting” companies in the area, but nothing ever came of it given my busy work schedule.  This pledge gave me the opportunity to do something I have always wanted to do.

2. What sets Garçon Model apart from the others?

Love the way it looks on me.  It is extremely comfortable and offers great support throughout the day.  I am a pretty active guy.  Whether it be sweat or spray while on the boat, the fabric holds up really well when moist or wet.  Other brands tend to stick and pull.

3. So… how did the shoot go?

The photo shoot was fun but harder work than I expected.  I guess that could be due in part to my inexperience.  I felt really awkward and stiff in the beginning.  A drink or two probably would have helped.  The guys were great.  They were very patient and talked me through it all.  The joking around helped a lot.  As the shoot progressed, it got easier.  Would love to do it again, but definitely won’t quit my day job.

1399731545-55286300After being away from the world of men’s underwear for so long and wanting to get back into it in the worst way, I knew I needed to score some of the most up-to-date pairs. Andrew Christian has always been one of my favorites, if not my favorite brand, mainly because I am a bigger guy. Once I discovered their “Anatomically Correct” pouch designs I was instantly hooked (and all other well-endowed guys need to try AC). So it was a no brainer then, to log onto AndrewChristian.com to see what was new.

Flashing in front of me was the “Twerk” Brief, complete with glossy pictures of chiseled male models standing in both the red and black colors. A video so blatantly homo-erotic that I didn’t even think before clicking past it and seeing what sizes were available. Let me start with the name of these, the “Twerk” brief–clearly a play on the famous ass-shaking dance move made famous by YouTube and that Miley Cyrus made infamous overnight–I am not a fan. Twerking was cool back when it didn’t have a name and it could be seen in every Nelly music video ever made–but alas it actually works (sort of) for this pair of briefs.

Why you ask? Well since Twerking typically involves big butts, this brief is built for guys with bubble or power butts. This “accommodation” for those of us with bigger booties is accomplished by a more severe “drop” in the seat of these briefs along with somewhat of a barely noticeable pleating of material at the apex of the leg opening, which stretches accommodatingly once they get pulled on over a bubble butt.

The result is quite frankly one of the most comfortable pairs of underwear I have ever owned, and that’s saying something considering my collection is pushing 200 pairs. The brief utilizes 93% rayon which is a fabric made from bamboo fibers and its just about the softest fabric you can put in underwear. The “Anatomically Correct” pouch lets your goods hang the way they were meant to, and the room in the pouch of these particular briefs is pushing “Trophy Boy” territory and for guys like me, that’s just one more reason I love these briefs. The sizing of these is also very generous which is fairly typical of all of the rayon briefs Andrew Christian offers. I wear a 36 in jeans which means I am technically about a 40″ waist, but the XL (34-36) fits me fine. If your pant size is the lower number in Andrew Christian’s range, you are going to want to size down in this particular brief.

As far as looks go, Andrew Christian the designer knows what he is doing when it comes to Limited Edition underwear. The color scheme of a uniformed light blue background underneath red lettering on a white waistband offers a modern take on retro. I love the color combination of the shade of blue and bright red in the piping the frame the pouch. XLs were sold out in both colors just a day after the brief was released, but using the sneaky tip you’ll only get from me. I found them on Amazon in XL in Red, though upon further research there are some AC online distributors that still have full-size runs on both colors of this LE Twerk Brief.

I’ve worn the brief two or three times since I bought them-a full day’s wear each time, and I honestly could be happy with an underwear drawer full of them. I suppose the only downside to this brief is that they are truly meant for guys with bigger behinds. So if you’ve got a flat butt and still want these, you may have to size down once, if not twice to get your desired fit. But be careful doing this as you may sacrifice comfort up front for not having extra material in the seat. If you ARE athletically built, or just have good big-butt genetics, don’t wait to pick these up, you will be glad you did.

Pros:

  • Incredibly comfortable, especially for guys with bubble butts like mine
  • The pouch is ample despite it being a brief focused on rear-end accommodation
  • Looks great

Cons:

  • If you don’t have a bubble butt, you may just have to pass on these.

  • Sizing : 8

VU6-13-AI have to start off saying N2N Bodywear is one of my favorite underwear companies. The first reason is they make really comfy and great underwear. Second, I love the guys over at N2N. They are really amazing guys. I know you guys have heard me say it before but there are very few bad folks in men’s underwear. It’s a very small community and just really great people.

Usually when we get N2N, I get a chance to try the Signature Trunk, but not this time, the other Tim got it! I was a little bummed but I got to try a pair I have never tried before. That pair is the Vintage Trunk. I believe this is the second year for the collection (but I could be wrong). The vintage line is one made to look like it’s been in your underwear drawer for a few years.

Over the years of UNB I have tried these “pre worn” type of underwear and they always feel great. I was hoping this was going to be the same with the vintage trunk. When I took it out of the plastic it comes , the fabric felt super soft. It made me go “What is this made of?” The fabric is a Rayon/Spandex blend. I slid them on and they felt like I had had them for a year or more.

The fabric wasn’t the only thing I liked about the pair. In the list of top 10 pouches, the N2N pouch is one of favorites. Andrew knows how to make underwear to fit a guy. Granted, I have a larger pouch than most, so it’s the most important thing in undies for me. Some run way too small but rarely have I had them too big. This is just right.

I wore these running around town for a busy day. First, the pouch as mentioned above was amazing and gave me the support I needed. Next, the trunk, while not a favorite, fit more like a brief. Meaning it didn’t ride up or go too far down the leg. It was a very nice cut that reminds me of the Signature trunk like. Lastly, the fabric just felt amazing against my skin. They have out done themselves on this line.

The sizing is spot on. You shouldn’t have any issues with N2N at all. The size chart is pretty accurate. I haven’t ever had any issues with mis-sizing. Actually I haven’t ever heard people who have had issues. If you have let me know.

Pros:

  • Super Soft Fabric
  • Great N2N Pouch
  • Amazing design

Cons:

  • Some may not like the colors since they are more pastel

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 9.5
  • Sizing – 10
  • Construction – 9.5
  • Styling 9.5
  • Performance – 9.5
  • Overall – 9.6

Today I am excited to review the CR7 cotton stretch Trunk. This is the signature line by soccer great Cristiano Ronaldo. He has a great line of underwear and hosiery for men and boys.

The timing of receiving these was perfect. The world cup was playing and wore them while watching the cup lol.

My first impression of these after my visual quality inspection was high. The material was soft and stretchy. The stripes were manly but fun. The seams and construction were very high quality. The wide waistband in slight grey and dark blue have a metallic shimmer to them and the contrasting white trim and leg openings add to the great look of these trunks.

When I put them on I was pleased with the feel of the material. I have never been a huge fan of cotton because they often stretch and fade. These trunks fit amazingly when I put them on and they did not get lose and baggy as the day went on. They kept their shape throughout the day. I wore them on a busy day at work and I never once had to adjust myself. The legs did not ride up on me at all.

The cotton was light and I didn’t have an issue with sweat. It was a hot day but these trunks kept me cool and comfy. The waistband was super comfy and non-binding. It didn’t roll or dig into me at all while wearing them.

I wear a size medium and these fit perfectly. The sizing is spot on.

Pros:

  • Great material
  • Fun striped material
  • Great non binding waistband
  • Comfortable, from the beginning of the day to the end of the day
  • Great fit for your butt and crotch
  • Sexy looking while wearing them.

Cons:

  • Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t deliver them lol

But really, I cannot think of a con with this underwear

Radical-SportI know we have a few fans of Male Power out there. This week they have released four new lines. The first two are the Radical Sport (above) and Nylon Burn out (below). I have a few pairs of Male Power that I really like, such as the zipper shorts featured here for the Radical Sport. Just don’t zip it back up while still on because…. well you know! Here is what Male Power said about the line

“Anyone can look like a star athlete in Radical Sport, a line of shorts and thongs for the man who is occasionally zipped up but never buttoned down. All styles are made from a sensuously soft fabric imprinted with zigzag black lines, and are trimmed with functional, zipper fly fronts.

The Zipper Short features a contoured zipper pouch, low rise waist and high cut legs. In the mood for something even more daring? The Zipper Thong, a Male Power classic, offers a one inch back and sides and low rise waist. Wilder still is Zipper Moonshine, which looks like a brief in front, and has a jock-like, cut out backside for a partial baring of the buns. Color possibilities are light wine and slate; fantasy possibilities are endless.

The sizzling but subtle Nylon Burnout is perfect for men who project a sophisticated sensuality. The stretch fabric is comfortably lightweight, and offers a croc-like pattern on the outside and a hint of sheerness within.

Three different styles appeal to many different tastes. The Pouch Short affords a bit more coverage with its mid-length leg, low-rise waist and comfort pouch. The Wonder Thong teases with a full uplift pouch, low rise waist and one inch sides and back. The Posing Strap offers le minimum – a plush, elastic G-string back and a full comfort pouch. All selections are Male Power favorites, and come in either navy or taupe.”

These are going out to retailers now, so check with your favorite retailer for availability.
