The pair of underwear I am reviewing is the PPU Boxer #1322. Before trying these on, I enjoyed taking in the big picture. The white fabric has see through polka dots, the waistband is red with contrasting black logo sewn in, the leg openings have black piping to contrast with the stark white and bright red, and there is a black mesh area above the pouch for a peek-a-boo effect. Interesting. The PPU logo sits on each side and is not centered over the pouch which does not bother me like it bothers other guys. The red waistband has a metallic sheen to it which I really enjoyed.
After trying them on, the waistband is comfortable at nearly two inches in width. The slight pouch was accommodating, conforming, and defining. While this is a boxer, it felt more like a brief. Companies seem to have their own take on what defines a boxer and in this case I suppose a slightly longer side panel is the key. The boxer was pieced together in multiple pieces to create the pouch and had a seam down the center of the rear for even more definition of the assets. The black mesh panel shows off the area above the bits and the upper portion of the bits, as well. It is quite erotic, in my opinion. This boxer comes in several colors (mint, white, black) that most anyone would enjoy. This is my second pair of PPU underwear and I like them.
While wearing this pair of underwear, I went on an extended shopping experience over an eight hour period with lots of walking, bending, and trying on clothes. It was a busy day filled with quite a bit of activity that tested the underwear under normal circumstances for most guys. The pair fit well, looked good, did not bunch up, did not ride up, and felt like I did not have underwear on at all. This pair of underwear would be good for a night out on the town or everyday wear, but not for exercising or major activity.
I received a size extra large in this boxer. This size should cover a 34-36 pant size. Sizing was not true to size as I am a large in the vast majority of underwear, but this is a non-issue as the company tells you that the XL is a 34-36” size. So, size up. This pair can be found for around 21$ on most websites.
I loved the polka dot see through pattern that made up the body of the underwear, the metallic red waistband, the black contrasting piping around the legs, the black mesh see through peek-a-boo panel, and the way the crotch area felt against my skin. 82.5% Nylon and 17.5% Spandex fabric combination makes this a slightly stretchy and conforming pair of underwear that I enjoyed. The rear seam was another part of the boxer that I enjoyed as it showed off the assets. This boxer had nothing about it that I could complain about.
Overall, this was a nice pair of underwear and I felt sexy and comfortable at the same time while wearing them. The design is conforming to the body and creates a fantastic profile from the front and the rear. I did find that one could take the pouch and pull it down and under the package to push up the mesh pouch area and create a totally different look for the boxer. I enjoyed this boxer and look forward to wearing it again.

We continue our Magic coverage this time with PPU. This time PPU is using some new colors and a few new styles. PPU is a brand known for having fun and taking risks. This year they do that by using colors, cuts and interesting designs. The colors this year are ones from almost pastel tones to some really bright primary colors. It’s a fun range of colors and we bet there is a pair you’ll love! The cuts range form thongs to boxer briefs and everything in between. Where the interesting designs coming are the peekaboo cut outs and new waistbands!

Here are some of the highlights of the collection:
PPU 1303 Thong – This thong has some great new colors, design and new waistband. The colors on this are the lilac/coral, black/coral and white/sliver. The lilac is a new color to the PPU line and is set off nicely with the coral waistband. The cut out in the top shows off just a bit more skin then a regular thong and will make someone look twice. Lastly is the new branded waistband. It’s in two new colors Coral and Silver with PPU written across the side. Description: Brazilian thong, has a sensual design on the cup with a slit at the top, this area and back are made of a soft material with texture and elastic edges, for a good fit counts with a wide elastic at the waist embroidered with the brand. Composition: 83% Nylon, 17% Spandex.
PPU 1311 Brief. This brief has the same waistbands and colors as the thong above. However the fabric has a plaid design built in, you can barely see it in the picture. When you see it in person it will be look more detailed and will really stand out. Its subtle but a very nice detail! Description: Brief with wide elastic band around the waist for a good fit, made of a soft elastic material with checkered texture, has a modern design with full cup with elastic trim in contrasting color around the legs and under the cup area for support. Composition: 83% Nylon, 17% Spandex.
PPU 1313 Bust Buster Brief – Enhancing underwear is back at PPU. The Butt Buster brief has padding in the back. The padding isn’t too big so it will add just a bit more without being too noticeable. Available in Black/White, Red/Grey and Turquoise/Blue. Description: Brief with elastic band around the waist, this piece is designed to enhance the buttocks area and cup, because of its soft and elastic cotton material that generates a support in these areas, with elastic trims around the slits to create a sexy silhouette. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1307 Boxer with Pockets – When you think PPU you don’t initially thing Boxer Briefs. But, this collection has some with pockets. You maybe asking what do you do with underwear with pockets. This time we will say that is for you to determine! You can put many things in the pockets ranging from money to well… that is for you to imagine! Available in Grey/Turquoise, Blue/Black, White/Red and Black/White. Description: Boxer with wide elastic band at the waist for a good fit, garment made of a soft stretch cotton for comfort of the body, with cup and has pockets design in contrasting color color at the front sides. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1308 Jockstrap – PPU has always had really fun and interesting jocks. This one is one of the more conservative designs. It’s a more traditional jock with a smaller waistband, that looks more like a swimmer jock. It’s great under jeans or something casual. This jock is available in Blue/White and Grey/red. Description: Jockstrap with cup made in a stretch cotton with zigzag stitching that gives comfort to this area of the body, with soft elastic around the buttocks to provide support, and elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1317 Boxer – The colors come into play with this pair. The boxer is with a bright blue and red. It’s a traditional design with a waistband with PPU written in the same white. Its one of the more “conservative” pairs for PPU. Description: Boxer made of a soft stretch cotton with side cuts in two different colors, the cup and the bottom features a white cotton, with elastic band at the waist for a good fit to the body. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1310 Brief – No collection would be complete without a great brief. PPU does a take on the classic brief but puts their spin on it. They do this by the colors and waistbands. The pair has a solid waistband with the PPU brand in the same color. The pouch is framed by piping on each side of the pouch. The colors are Blue/White, Coral/Grey and Mint/Blue. Description: Low rise brief, made of a soft elastic material with texture that gives a modern twist, has wide elastic around the waist for a good fit and elastic trim in contrasting color around the legs and cup. Composition: 92.5% Nylon, 17.5% Spandex.
PPU Boxer 1322 – No PPU line would be complete without some mesh! The Boxer 1322 has an pouch with a peekaboo mesh panel in the pouch. It shows off some but not all. Its def not for the shy. The colors are White, Black and Mint. These colors are big in the collection this year. The fabric has a pattern of circles that gives it a texture. Description: Boxer with elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand in contrasting color, this garment is made of a soft material circular textured, has a design with sexy mesh on the top of the cup that sensually reveals this area of the body. Composition: 92.5% Nylon, 17.5% Spandex.
PPU Jokcstrap 1305 – Jocks have always been big in the PPU Line up. The jock mentioned above is the most conservative of the line, this is def not conservative. It’s a design with two cut outs at the top of the pouch where the waistband starts. In the back it has to wrings and a cross between a jock and thong back. If you see the middle pictures you can see how it shows off your assets. This is available in Blue, White and Black. Description: Jockstrap with multiple wide elastics around the waist, buttocks and front, joining in the back with metal rings at the waist, providing the necessary support to the body, with cup made of a soft and comfortable material, this garment comes in three colors. Composition: 93% Nylon, 7% Spandex.
PPU Underall 1315 – PPU is one known for doing creative and fun undies. This is called the Underall which is a cross between a boxer brief and overalls. It reminds me of a very European cute. Just available in red or black with the contrasting silver branded waistband. If you are a fan of something fun and out of the ordinary then check this pair out. Description: Underall, a modern design of boxer with cup and broadband at the waist for a good fit, this is one its attached to a front piece that has straps that go to the back, they can graduate with comfortable plastic clasps, this garment is made in a soft stretch cotton. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU Jock Thong 1302 – Jock Thongs have gained in popularity in the last few years. PPU added its own spin this new design. The pouch is framed with the straps giving it two cut outs on the side. While in the back it has both the traditional thong and jock back. It will frame and show off your assets very well. Available in Purple/White, Black and White. Description: Jockstrap Thong, has a soft and comfortable wide elastic around the waist, the buttocks and the front sides to provide the necessary support to the body, with cup and back made ??of a material with textured stripes, this garment comes in three colors . Composition: Polyester 82.5%, 17.5% Spandex.
PPU 1319 Side Mesh Boxer – Don’t let the name fool you, this has a lot more mesh then just on the side. The front has a solid Pouch and mesh on the sides and down the inner thighs. Then on the back the is almost solid mesh! It’s one that has maximum exposure but doesn’t expose too much. Available in black and white. Description; Boxer with elastic band at the waist, has a sensual design with mesh on the sides and back that reveals to these areas of the body, cup and legs features a soft elastic material with zigzag stitching in contrasting color. Composition: 93% Nylon, 7% Spandex.
This is just a highlight of the brand. There are plenty of more pairs released! Those include more thongs and mesh and some really X rated pairs. So PPU is not for the shy but rather the bold guy who’s not afraid to show off what he has to offer! Make sure you check your favorite retail store for the entire collection.

Today’s Brief Distraction is from PPU. The new line has just been released and is popping up at retailers across the country and internet. We hope you enjoy this picture.
PPU is an underwear line not for the shy. They are known for their fun and revealing styles and this year is no different. They have many bright colors, cut outs and MESH. Colors are nothing new to PPU they have done orange, yellow and other bright colors in the past, so that isn’t too different. Cutouts on the other hand are a bit more wild! They are in interesting places and I”ll let you check out the pictures as to where they are. Lastly is mesh, it’s a trend we have had in men’s underwear for the last few years and its not going anywhere.
Don’t let this scare you off, they do have some more traditional styles. They have several boxer briefs and briefs. So if you want the fit but don’t want to expose more then you want, you can still get some PPU.

This brief has a wide elastic at the waist embroidered with the brand, made in a smooth horizontal thin striped pattern material has enhancement cup with cut in the center-biased in contrasting color that goes as well around the legs. Composition: 81% Nylon, Polyester 9%, Spandex 10%.
The PPU Pin Stripe 0998 bikini was a fun pair of underwear to try out. PPU Underwear is an underwear company from Colombia that seeks to create underwear of high-quality, affordable, and sexy intimate apparel for men. The look of the bikini was above average with the stark white waistband and black front and back, but the pin striping set everything off nicely.
The fabric consisted of 92% Nylon and 8% Spandex and was soft and conforming. It seems like every underwear company is experimenting successfully with fabric combinations. The same fabric composition can change drastically among companies. The waistband measures one and three-quarters inches and was white with a shiny PPU logo embroidered on it. The logo was not centered above the front panel, so this will not make everyone happy, but it really does not bother me. The leg openings were highlighted by a slim white piece of elastic material to provide a nice contract to the black fabric. Overall, the fabric and design was very comfortable.
Size large fit well. The pouch was pieced together from two separte pieces of fabric to provide the cut that fits the best on the male form. There was an internal seam which I never noticed while wearing. The rear is a medium fit and some guys will not like how it hits their assets The leg openings were comfortable. The piece of fabric that hits the area behind your package was slim and just the right width.
I wore these on standard days of general daily activity. This bikini was comfortable and felt great against my body with the soft fabric and right sized waistband width. My khaki pants and my jeans had no issue with clinging to the undies or pulling at them during the day due to the slick fabric. I found several sites offering this bikini for less than $20. So, the cost is a bit high, but you do get what you pay for, I suppose. Overall, I enjoyed the majority of the features of this bikini.

Welcome to the 2010 UNB Holiday Guide! These guides are a lot of fun to do, but a lot of work! We start in August contacting all the companies involved, and then have it sent to the photographer, having everything shot then put up on the site. The pairs included are some of what we think will be great gifts for the man in your life or some just for you!
This guide was shot by the awesome folks at NorCalBodz. If you are familiar with our guides you have seen their work on our site. They have done our previous guides and we have profiled them in many Brief Distractions. The models we used in this guide are: Jordan Preston, Rob Patrick, Erik Rossi, Corey Christiansen and Matt McCaleb. We want to thank them and NorCalBodz for doing an awesome job for us.

Pipe Underwear
Pipe Underwear hit the underwear scene a few years ago. They make a splash with their innovative photography and designs. But, they didn’t sit back and relax. They have come out with a new line that from the first look is very conservative, but has some great styling. They are using blacks and whites but they aren’t the boring undies of the 90’s. The use of piping and silvers turns the lines into something fun. Pipe Underwear is definitely a brand you should be following!

WildmanT
WildmanT was one of the first to produce enhancing underwear. Two years ago they created the Ball Lifter (R) technology and since then they have come out with a range of underwear to really show off what you have. As their website says “All our products create the fullest package possible while maintaining style and comfort.” If you haven’t been to their site you should go. The owner and creator WildmanT aka Tim, is the model as well!

Timoteo
Timoteo is a brand that is really taking off. Known for their incredible photography and great fitting undies, they have taken the underwear world by storm the last two years. It’s very interesting how the line started. Timoteo was head designer at the Baby Phat line created by Russell and Kimora Simmons. He left there and in 2001 created his own store in West Hollywood. He concentrated on men’s clothing but in 2006 he introduced swimwear and the rest is history! The TIMOTEO line recognizes great fashion but also understands that style, fit, and comfort are the key to its success.

McKillop U/W
McKillop U/W is one of the new kids on the block. They were furnished last year and their main focus is jocks. We have many readers who love jocks and wear them exclusively. The head designer and owner Ryan wanted to create a line of “Jockstraps and Pouches for the men who demand comfort and style without padding and branding being the main focus of the underwear.” McKillop uses colors and mesh to really give a new look to the traditional jock! If you are a fan of jocks you need to give McKillop a once over!

Cocksox is the self-proclaimed sexiest underwear on the planet! It is an enhancing brand that uses a specially designed pouch to show off exactly what you have. Cocksox is out of Australia and has grown to be one of the biggest brands there. They have expanded and are making in roads into the US Market. The underwear is made out of supplex and is thicker then pure cotton undies. The underwear will conform to your body and is ergonomically designed. It will be comfortable through out the day and move with you.

N Haven is a line from UnderGear. Undergear has several private lines that are being redesigned from the ground up. I got to meet with them back in August and I’m really excited to see what they do. We are featuring the Fall Boxers here. They are all a fall/winter theme that is perfect for lounging around on a winter night. Are you ready to get WILD? Pikante‘s new line that came out is all about animal print. I know what you are thinking but these aren’t the 70’s tacky animal prints, they are fun and sexy. They range from the traditional (Tiger, leopard and more) to newer and innovative prints (Owl Feather, snake and blue tiger). It’s a really fun and sexy line. Glad to see someone doing animal prints right!

Then, they have some really interesting approaches to taking a classic like a jock and turning it into their own. They don’t follow the regular rules of underwear. They see something and put their twist on it. That includes jocks, bikinis and thongs. Its great to see a company that is doing their own thing.

Do you want something masculine but fun? Then Clever is the underwear for you. Their slogan is “Masculine Underwear.” They want to make underwear for men not afraid to show their masculinity. They take masculine feelings and turn them into prints, patterns and designs. They are fun without being over the top. Men who are confident and driven are the kind of guy that Clever is after!

Bum Chums, Doreanse & ManStore
Dead Good Undies is the only online store to send us underwear. They are out of the UK and offer some of the most innovative and cutting edge underwear around. They sent us three really fun brands; Bum Chums, Doreanse and Manstore. Bum Chums are a “cheeky” brand out of the UK. They are bright fun and have a lot of metallic! While Doreanse you have seen in The Reasons video we posted this past week. Lastly is Manstore, which is a brand that just is all about sexy. They have smaller cuts, mesh and leather like materials. Pistol Pete is one if the first companies to do 3-D underwear! They are a brand that’s not afraid to think outside the box when designing underwear. That includes this season collection. Some of the current lines are inspired by cities and places. They aren’t just underwear they also have a very large swimwear and shirt line. The underwear from Pistol Pete you can definitely tie into your over all style. They aren’t plain and simple. They are made to compliment and add to your wardrobe.

DMK Designs
DMK Designs is a brand we have covered since the start of the blog. It was founded by Diane who is a former Vegas show girl who went back to school to get her MBA and started a men’s underwear line. Diane wanted to create a line because she was tired of men seeing bad underwear. She has come out with some really fun lines. Those included the animal print made out of unexpected colors. Which were some of the most innovative I have seen. She is now working in mesh and has created a pouch that doesn’t have a seam down the middle. I know we will see some really fun and creative designs from her soon!

Gregg Homme
Our last brand is one that is bringing sexy back to the world of men’s underwear. That line is Gregg Homme. They are one of the most innovative with mesh. The current lines are one that really shows off everything. From their site: “Design is a dialogue of ideas: it appeals, speaks or creates controversy and GREGG HOMME constantly innovates with unimaginable designs and functionalities to feed the insatiable taste of men for provocation and seduction.” This includes using the latest in technology. The example of this is the Bandito line. The shirts and underwear have cutouts with mesh. The fabrics are fused together rather then sown. They are a brand positioned between lust and fantasy.

PPU has created one of the most visually stunning jockstrap of the year by incorporating a couple unique and effective features.
Like all jockstraps, the elastic leg straps join up to the waistband but these straps continue parallel until they meet the pouch forming a sexy slit. Both the duo-colored 1 inch leg straps and 1.5 inch waistband with PPU logo incorporated into it are made of a super-soft plushed elastic and are extremely comfortable.
The mostly cotton pouch has a hint of spandex for shape retention and a striking contrasting piping around the outside. We have the new PPU jockstraps in black and white or orange and black.

I want to say thanks to everyone who has read the blog over the last two years. It was October 2008 I started the blog. It was hosted on Blogger and started slow. I moved it to it’s own domain in March, 2009 and then it has grown ever since. It has been a lot of fun to meet brands, retailers and readers.
