We were contacted by Diego Barberi last month.  They are a new company out of Switzerland.  Here is what they sent us:

“We are four friends from Switzerland and Germany. While getting a beer at the “Apres Ski” (-> it´s called, when you get a drink at a bar or pub directly after skiing. It´s very common in Switzerland/ Austria/ Germany) in St. Moritz (Switzerland), we met a really crazy guy called “Diego Barberi”.

Because we loved him and his name immediately, some more beers later we decided: Wouldn’t it be great to create our own underwear label named “Diego Barberi”!? Style, fabric, fitting, quality, comfort… just the way, as we envision a perfect underwear!???

Now, some months later, we really produced our first Diego Barberi – Trunks 🙂 Please check them out here: www.diegobarberi.com

The line right now is a set of trunks, each one featuring a different embroidered design.  I wasn’t expecting that.  The pair I received was the Snow Flake.  As you know, I’m not a big trunk/boxer brief fan, but I always try to keep and open mind.

The box is very cool.  It presents the great photography produced by the company.  They’ve captured their models in the picturesque settings of Switzerland.  They have blown me away with the photography.  When I pulled them out of the package, the first thing I noticed was the embroidered design.  I like that because it will not fade or wear off over time.  The next thing, being the cardboard that underwear is usually wrapped around for packaging, is a post card.  Yes, a real postcard you can mail to your friends.  We take our hats off to you guys for being creative.

I wore them for a day and enjoyed them.  These are the types of trunks I like since they are very form fitting.  I don’t care for trunks that loose their shape.  These moved with me through out the day.  The cotton stretched nicely and with the 5% spandex, it definitely moved well with me.  If you are a trunks fan, you will definitely like these.  They began with a small line and only a few colors but we hope they will grow and we will see more from them.

I have to admit that Cocksox has been one of my favorite underwear companies for quite some time.  I love the way they fit and they have an amazing pouch.  I was recently sent a pair of the sports briefs to review.  These are some of the more “conservative” pairs they have to offer.  Most of their offerings are bikini or other cuts. That being said, I’m always excited to try some of the new pairs they produce.

I liked the more traditional styling of the pair.  You could easily wear these to the gym or around town without drawing too much attention.  The pouch wasn’t as pronounced as the others which would have been a good thing when I was on a job interview a few months back.  The CX01 creates a rather pronounced pouch.  It was quite noticeable.  These still provide a good pouch but didn’t push things out to that extent.  You could definitely wear them to work or other events.

I wore these under jeans for a day of errands, hanging out with friends, and relaxing on a low-key day.  I loved the look, as I said, and the fit.  Cocksox genuinely knows how to make underwear for men.  There was, however, one minor problem…the tag. We have all had undies with a tag that drove us crazy during the day.  This one was only mildly annoying as it irritated every so often.  Although a minor issue to me, I figured this was a production issue.  Other than that, it was a pretty awesome pair.

If you have wanted to try Cocksox and wanted a more “conservative” pair to start with, these are for you.  This would be great.  Cocksox furnished these for review.

We are restarting Underwear of the Month here at UNB.  In the past, we entertained the thought of having an Underwear of the Week, but coming up with 52 pairs a year is difficult to say the least.  For certain weeks, there were not many new pairs to feature.  Changing to monthly made it much easier to manage.

The first pair we selected is the 2(x)ist  All Star Brief.  If you aren’t familiar with these, they feature the waist band that is similar to a sock.  This is a feature I found very cool.  It’s something new that hasn’t been attempted often.  If you are a long-time reader of the blog, you know that I love the waistbands.  Brands that pay close attention to the waistband and try new things always get my attention.

The waistband is sort of ribbed like a sock top.  Here is the description from the 2(x)ist site:

“A classic athletic-inspired collection, All Star combines technical functionality and sporty fashion. The collection is made up of a breathable 55% cotton / 37% modal / 8% spandex fabrication constructed in a pique knit, with super sporty bindings and waistband. The trims are inspired by retro basketball sock designs; with varsity colored stripes in red, white, and blue as well as emerald, white, and gold.”

I do like sporty underwear.  I love the way they fit and keep everything in place.  I know there are many out there who don’t like feeling “constricted” but I like the extra support.  I really love the stripes and design of these.  I’m a firm believer that your underwear should reflect your personality.  Why dress great but wear plain and boring undies.  You have nothing to worry as these are nowhere close to boring.

2(x)ist is always known for great underwear.  These are no exception as they really did fit very well.  I will admit that I didn’t check to see if they were no show under clothes.  The fabric was very breathable and form fitting.  To me, it is important that you be able to wear sports-inspired briefs during any strenuous activity.  It is a pair I would recommend for an active guy.  The pair gives you support and fits wonderfully.

Men’s Underwear Store furnished this pair for review.  You can purchase them directly from Men’s Underwear Store.

A waistband is all a stranger can see of your underwear.  I feel a waistband can make or break you.  The Ristefsky Macheda briefs I recently reviewed have a stellar waistband; not to flashy but still enough to know the rest of the undies are hot.  The waistband has a simple black line on top and a bold raised logo across the band.  Luckily, the briefs are just as great as the waistband.

These briefs are wonderful in look and fit.  They are full briefs with a new twist on a retro style.  Purple piping and the wide waistband accent the charcoal fabric nicely.  A problem I usually have with briefs is the lack of a pouch.  I often find the boys are pushed back and squashed, but the RM briefs are supportive without constriction.  They are perfect for all day wear.  The small “functional” fly isn’t worth much and could have been left off.  It’s a little extra detail to stay true to the retro styling.

This was my first time wearing Ristefsky Macheda and, although they have a limited product line, I hope to soon add more of these to my underwear drawer.

Ristefsky Macheda is a company that has combined the sexy sophisticated style of Europe with the masculine casual feel of Australia and girding our loins since 2005. You can definitely see the mixture of suave and fun in their collection with underwear from either end of the spectrum. Today we are going to take a look at one pair, the Retro Low Rise Brief.

The brief definitely has a style of its own. Overall, the entire look is very traditional and classy yet, as the name suggests, there’s a retro twist to it. The colors for this brief are great! It comes in charcoal grey trimmed with blue, yellow, red or sky blue. All great contrasts and I love the not quite black spunk of the charcoal. The fabric is 95% cotton which makes them very comfortable and 5% elastane which help the brief keep its shape and support all day long with out getting saggy. This brief has a refined nostalgic look with a contemporary luxury. The elastic waist band has the branded label in a bold print and does not repeat all the way around. It’s just one clear gallant statement centered right in the front then white with a thin black strip through the rest. I think this is a terrific way of bringing attention to the brand and shows the purposeful and careful craftsmanship of the brief. The waist line sits low, just under your hip bone, however I didn’t find that it sits as low as some low rise underwear. I think this lower waist line is becoming the norm in pants and is carrying over into underwear.

I wore these briefs right after they arrived in the mail. I was pretty excited after examining the look and feel in my hands. I wore them for an entire day of work and errands and have to say they were very comfortable and supportive. I washed them and then wore them again. The underwear machine-washed and dried well so it is definitely a pair that will last. For the second wearing of the briefs I wore them to the gym where I worked out and taught a yoga class. They were very supportive and comfortable and didn’t ride up or chafe plus they looked good in the locker room. They make great gym undies. For everyday wear, they sat well with my jeans. As previously stated, the new trend is a lower waist and these fit perfectly in place with the new trend.

If you’re a guy who likes a nice full plentiful seat you may notice that the waist band comes just above your gluteal cleavage and, after a while, that can feel a little irritating. The tag is the main reason for that and it can be removed. I usually snip the corners off so that it’s not so scratchy. Even though the look suggests ‘vintage’, the configuration is very up to date. The front, with its clichéd fly, has an added dimension to it so that the base protrudes just enough to mimic a pouch. This gives your man bits the room and coziness they crave while still keeping them supported. I never felt confined and had little adjusting to do. I typically wear a size medium comfortably however I found these mediums to be a little snug. Not tight but slightly less spacious than other undies I have. Although, after I had them on for a while, they didn‘t feel that tight. But if you are a man who’s on the edge of a size or like a roomier fit you may want to order a size up.

Overall, the Ristefsky Macheda Retro Low Rise Brief is a great pair of underwear to own for any occasion whether you’re looking for comfort, support or just a great look.

Ristefsky Macheda provided the product for review.

Everyone has to agree that the basic staples of any wardrobe consist of at least one black & white article of clothing.  In my humble opinion, stripes play an important role in creating an interesting visual effect while adding a sense of classic styling.  With both said, Ristefsky Macheda has hit the mark with combining both of these theories into one, hot, sexy brief.

Upon first inspection, I noticed the quality of construction in the seams and waistband.  After slipping into these comfortable and well-fitting briefs, I quickly discovered that these are low-rise and sit nicely along the hips without feeling inadequate in coverage and support.  These retro inspired stripes combined with the RM logo waistband make this style really pop.

As mentioned in previous reviews, I typically don’t gravitate toward s briefs, but you can’t help to fall in love with these because they feel incredibly soft and lightweight.  The ratios of 95% cotton and 5% Elastane create the perfect balance between comfort and functionality.  After wearing these the entire day, including a gym workout, I couldn’t find one thing wrong with this pair.  The line is available in other colors including Black/White, Navy/Grey, and Red/Grey. There’s plenty of visual diversity for everyone!

I don’t know that there’s anything left to say other than this manufacturer from “down under” has it covered down under.

This is the first chance we had to review McKillop U/W underwear.  I was really excited.  Ryan has done great work in the area of jocks.  He’s taken a classic pair of men’s underwear and made it his own.  I love to see this from a company.

They have been around for over a year.  He’s taken jocks and added colors and one of the best pouches I have worn in some time.  The pouch is stretchy and fits you like a glove.  This was my favorite part of the review.

The construction is also top notch.  You can tell time and care was used and they wanted to make undies that last and fit awesomely.  The materials will hold up for every day use, a night on the town, or even worn during sporting events!

The pouch on these is made of mesh.  Mesh is a big trend in men’s underwear.  I don’t see that trend disappearing soon since it has really taken off.  I loved that he uses all colors of mesh and not just black.  He’s stepped outside the box and created something great.  The mesh, however, was also my only problem.  You may say the seam would be the problem but he’s thought ahead and put the seam on the outside.  Very smart thinking, if you ask me!  The mesh simply annoyed me throughout the day.  I am not sure if it was a personal preference or the materials.

I wore them all day and at certain times, not all the time, it sort of made things uncomfortable.  These maybe the perfect date pair if you are looking for something sexy and fun.  I will wear them but not for all day use.

I get another chance to review Equmen!  This brand has been around for about two years and seems to be ever growing.  They were one of the first in shaping/performance underwear.  The purpose of the brand is to make you look slimmer and give you better posture.

I first have to apologize for the lateness of this review.  I received them in early November and the package got misplaced.  I had to search the house to find it, which I did and all was well.

The two pairs I’m reviewing are the singlet (tank) and trunk.  I was glad to try out the singlet.  The fit is very well and does the same as the t-shirt.  It really does give you great posture.  When I wear it, I notice a difference in how I stand.  The shirt makes you stand straight as well.  It’s nice because there are times when I don’t have the best posture.  The other great thing about it is that no one notices you have it on.  It’s your secret!

The trunks were very well fitting as well.  I normally don’t care for trunks/boxer briefs but these were well made and fit everything snuggly.  I wore them out to a busy day and they kept their shape and gave me great support.

I am always surprised when I open a package containing Undergear brand underwear.  The packaging is plain with the underwear usually wrapped around a piece of cardboard in a clear plastic covering with a white label detailing the product and size.  This is what keeps the prices of Undergear underwear at a minimum and I enjoy that particular attribute of the Undergear company.  Normally, I find the Undergear underwear to be a fantastic fit, nice in styling, and extremely comfortalbe, but this pair of underwear left me disappointed.

This particular pair of underwear is the Undergear Physical Brief in gray with black trim and a pouch styling with no fly.  The waistband is about an inch wide and was very comfortable.  The Undergear website describes this pair of underwear as a “Men’s Gym Brief”.  After wearing it for an entire day, I can see why it has this monicker.  It would be a great brief to wear to the gym or some other athletic adventure if you are a guy who wants real support but does not want to wear a jockstrap, which some guys find too revealing for the gym.

The styling appears to be somewhat retro with a nod toward a more modern retro design.  I found the fabric to be fairly soft but it could have been softer and there was not a lot of give to fabric.  I generally wear a large but I found this particular large to be slightly constrictive which is very unusual for Undergear. I found this unusual because I think their sizes run a tad big for washing and drying shrinkage.

I did have some dislikes for this pair of underwear which lead to a fairly low rating.  There is a very large seam in the crotch area that I found it to be itchy and distracting as I wore the brief.  The crotch piece is rather wide and had some bunching issues for me.  I would rather this piece of fabric be much smaller to fit between the legs as a much better design.  The pouch was very angular in design, and let’s face it, the male anatomy is not angular.  Also, I felt like I was having to pull at the underwear in varying directions all day as it was rather inflexible and was prone to riding up.

Overall, I am very disappointed in this pair of underwear from Undergear.  I have several pairs of underwear from Undergear and this is the first pair about which I have anything negative to say.

Editors Note: I tired these as well, and I didn’t have the issues that Shane had. I did go to the Undergear site and saw that they had two reviews, one was a great review and the other had issues with the stitching. I think it may have been a production run issue. If we hear more we will keep you posted but I enjoyed the pair much more then I thought I would. The pouch fit nicely and I had no issues. But part of our reviews are personal preferences and fit. – Tim

We all have a venturous side and some like to push the boundaries more than others.  It’s evident that the manufacturer, Junk Underjeans, is taking underwear to the next level with their innovative collection called, Rebel. If you’re not familiar with this brand than you’re not alone.  This was the first time I tried out a pair of the trunks which they refer to as Underjeans.  According to Junk, they are designed with the intent of wearing under your jeans yet visible out of the tops of your jeans or simply after the jeans come off.

Upon initial inspection, you’ll notice that these are well constructed and carry a slightly heavier weight of combined fabrics than the traditional trunk. They are a mixed blend of 97% cotton and 3% Spandex. This particular pair, called Fiction Royal, is a distressed abstract printed graphic foil print with the signature ‘J’ logo zipper…yes, I said zipper.

Amazingly enough, I didn’t find the zipper a distraction, which could be contributed to the fact that they include a solid cotton panel inside the trunk between the zipper and the pouch.  This provides an easy access fly without damaging the goods.  These were extremely comfortable and supportive in all the right places…no arguments here.   However, I’m not a fan of foil print and don’t expect it to last after multiple washes.

If you’re looking for a creative, edgy, yet comfortable pair of trunks, you should seriously consider this brand.  I don’t think you’ll be disappointed and why not show off our wild, uninhibited side now and then!

Junk Underjeans is one of my favorite up-and-coming underwear brands.  I had the opportunity to review a pair of the Deity Natural Boxer Briefs about a year ago and absolutely loved them. They have expanded their collection so much since my first review. You can imagine how happy I was to see a pair of their newest style briefs show up at my door. Two of the best qualities of the Deity boxer brief that I really enjoyed was the fabric and the fit. I had big expectations for these new briefs.

I received the Skyline Brief in a size medium to review. The first thing that I noticed was the bright red embroidered logo on the waistband.  Embroidered waistbands are not something that is typically seen in men’s underwear. I really liked the contrast that the bright red logo had on the black brief. It really made a great first impression.  The other thing I noticed was the black screen print over the 97% cotton and 3% spandex fabric. I am not a fan of this design effect. If you read my Gigo UK World Cup review, you’ll read that screen printing on undies is not my favorite but these were briefs. I wasn’t sure if I would have the same concern. This brief, like all Junk Underjeans undies, also comes with their signature J Logo zip fly. Overall, the briefs looked fantastic.

When I first put on the Skyline Briefs, I immediately had a flash back to the Gigo UK Trunk. I like when a company puts a little spandex into the material because it gives it a little extra stretch. However, when you decide to screen print over the fabric, it doesn’t allow it to stretch as it would if there were no screen printing.  On the positive side, Junk Underjeans made this brief with enough room even though the brief didn’t stretch and contour like I prefer, there was still enough room for everything to fit comfortably.  This brief also has the signature J Logo zip fly. For those of you that are worried about a zipper that close, not to worry, Junk Underjeans has a great fabric panel that provides a great safety zone between your undies and your “junk”.

Overall, I really liked these undies. I probably wouldn’t recommend them for extended wear, but they are fun and very sexy. The embroidered waistband is a great addition and something that makes Junk Underjeans that much more unique. I would recommend these for anyone looking for some fun, sexy, and night-out-on-the-town undies.

Though it’s starting to get quite cold outside, there is still plenty of reason to spice it up inside. If you need some help finding spice, look no further than Croota. They are known for making awesome underwear and swimwear at an awesome price.

Surfers Paradise is a great pair of underwear. Not only does the fabric itself have a design but the waistband has one also. For me, it’s the little things that count and this is certainly one of those things. When you combine that with the witty sayings on the waistband, this makes it a great pair of underwear and something worth buying. Since there is so little fabric, there is little room for error and makes this underwear so so comfortable. It survived all day which is pretty hectic these days, so that’s saying a lot.

The Surfers Paradise is comprised of 95% Cotton and 5% Polyurethane. Although there isn’t much fabric on there to start, what little fabric is there is very very very comfortable. It’s a great pair of underwear, and if you’re lacking something creative in your drawer, you need to check the Surfers Paradise out. Besides the blue plaid color, there is also a purple color that deserves a look as well, even though blue is a waaay better color.

When I opened the package of these Baskit Yellow Utility Boxer Briefs, I was visually surprised to see a pair of boxers in this color that I wouldn’t otherwise come close to considering.  However, this shade of yellow is actually attractive and it is supported by a dark grey waistband and trimming around the legs.  Likewise, this pair offers a pouch which is also represented in solid white and lends itself to an open fly.   While I’m not a huge fan of boxer briefs, I found this pair to be extremely comfortable and functional with the open fly which is unusual today with most briefs and trunks.

Their first test run included wearing throughout the workday while on vacation.  This included a full day of walking and hiking the coastline beaches in Southern California.  During the course of the day, I couldn’t believe the amazingly comfortableness this pair offered with a snug fit around the legs, helping to keep them in place.  The waistband, sporting the company’s logo, and the dark grey trimming around the legs is what really grants these boxers a real visual appeal.   With a blend of fabrics, which includes 95% cotton and 5% Spandex, this construction makes for a breathable and flexible pair of sexy underwear.

As shown in the picture above, the front pouch is a solid material with the repeated dark grey strip and functional fly.   The pouch is constructed with additional fabric to create a pocket and enhance your package while remaining attractive and comfortable.  It’s clear that Baskit is an expert when it comes to design, functionally, and the ability to create something new, inventive, and esthetically appealing.

If you’re like me, when it comes to underwear in general, I don’t want to be bothered with a boxer that will not stay in place and continues to ride up the leg.  Having a pair that eliminates this worry and provides something attractive for the eyes is what investing in quality underwear is all about.

In my book, 2xist has hit another home run with a new sport brief, which was recently released in their SLIQ (sleek) collection.  I’m generally not a fan of briefs but this one is not only sexy and easy on the eyes, but extremely comfortable.  You’ve got to admit sport briefs with exposed hip sections are totally hot. More importantly, 2xist has landed the construction in the fact that the 1 1/25 inch waist band stays in place and sits balanced on the hips

Even though it’s a low rise brief, I never felt like the brief was missing coverage or sacrificed comfort.  I wore these all day and give them a real workout. Perhaps one of the advantages of this brief is that they provide full rear coverage which ensures they stay in place while providing adequate support.

These are very light weight and extremely comfortable.  I wasn’t disappointed after wearing them for an entire day and not once did they fail in providing the appropriate level of support. A contributing factor to the comfort may be that they’re constructed with a blend of fabrics that consists of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  This keeps them both extremely soft and comfortable while also sturdy and flexible…the perfect combination.

In summary, I think 2xist has hit the mark and really delivers an affordable, sexy, and no nonsense sport brief that anyone can appreciate.  If you’re looking for a new brief with a sexy look without sacrificing quality, you should consider their new line of SLIQ! These briefs are also available in the following colors: Black (as shown), Hibiscus, Charcoal, and White.

Ties make everything better, it’s a fact. Guess what? This pair of underwear comes with a tie. I feel like I could end this review right here simply because of that awesomeness. However, as awesome as that may be, there is more to this underwear to just a tie and you’ll see that below.

The underwear (and tie presumably) are made of 93% Polyester and 7% Spandex which is rather comfortable and the shiny look makes for an interesting feel – a feeling that you’ve always got to adjust yourself. That feeling aside, it has a great look and that black shine gives it a very sexy look. The added gold rank indicators increase the sexiness factor tenfold. Another thing about Candyman boxerbriefs is that they are somewhat large. They are about twice as long as a Gigo boxerbriefs and they aren’t tight fitting if you have a standard waist size. This may be good to some and bad to others. It’s really up to you on how to take it.

Candyman has an interesting feel. It is “Costume Underwear” so you might not want to wear it during the workday or during an intense workout. However, if you’re just relaxing, preparing for Halloween, or a random costume party, then this is the perfect underwear for you.

Candyman Fashion provided me with this pair of underwear to review

Papi is a brand of underwear I’ve not come across before so I was eager to try these Modal Euro trunks out. First impressions are really important with underwear and these tick all the right boxes.

The Modal material is soft and feels really nice on. The colour is a bold orange with a black and orange waistband containing the Papi logo, which certainly works for me. The trunks are well put together and when you try them on, the ticks continue, as they feel great.

The Euro trunk is a style of underwear is a new style for me and is a very short-legged trunk. So much so that the square cut legs finish above the base of the pouch in a similar style to that of a brief but maintaining the square cut of a trunk. It’s a style I’ve seen more in swimwear than underwear. The picture demonstrates what I’m talking about much more clearly.

The pouch is a nice size and works for the average man – looking sufficiently filled out – but I reckon would also work for the man who has no need for any kind of wonder jock uplift. The material is stretchy but doesn’t lose shape or style.

The trunks offer full rear coverage and a thin (1″) piece of material connects the pouch to the rear of the underwear. Herein lies my only concern when wearing them – if you don’t make sure everything is in the pouch and things get trapped in this region, it’s not comfy, trust me!

I’ve worn these trunks a number of times in all situations and give them a big thumbs up. The material is super soft, comfy, wicks moisture away well, and you can often forget you have them on.

My only caution is how the trunks will wear. My review pair already has a couple of pulls on them. I’ve managed to pull a couple of stitches around the leg by not being careful enough when removing them. Having said that, I wouldn’t let this minor concern prevent me from buying another pair.

I love getting new undies to review. It’s like an honest version of Christmas. A surprise package arrives at your door, you open it up and you don’t have to lie saying you like it; you can give the honest truth.

When I first opened the package and saw the Body Tech Colorblocked Briefs, I thought it was a joke, I thought Body Tech had made undies out of the scraps left on the cutting room floor. That said, I loved how they looked. They are different, made with a panel construction each of a different color. These panels help the briefs hug your body and really show off the pouch.

These briefs fit well and hugged even my lacking rear-end. The separate pouch in the front could be a little bigger but it works well to bring the boys front and center without pushing them too far out.

These briefs also have some cool grommets on the front of the waistband to give them some flair above the pants. After only wearing them a few times, one of the grommets is starting to fall out and these briefs have never even been in the dryer.

I really fell in love with the bright colors and unique panel design as well as the fit. I wish the construction was a little better but I will continue to wear them with or without the grommet.

When I received this pair of underwear to review, the first thing that caught my eye was the extremely soft and lightweight Rayon fabric used in the construction of this sexy and stylish brief.  Once again, Andrew Christian remains consistent with conduction, functionality, and fashion forward designs.

Upon further inspection, I immediately discovered the hidden ‘comfy cup’ AC refers to that is represented across many of his other styles.   The horseshoe shaped inner cup is lined by soft elastic that gently aids in lifting and supporting the family jewels.  Once you’ve experienced this unique and flattering construction for yourself, you won’t care to ever go back to the traditional brief.  I wore these while on vacation in Palm Springs and let me tell you, these kept me dry all day long in the hot desert heat and provided the comfort and support I’ve come to cherish with the AC brand.

One other valuable component to these sexy briefs is the trademark “anti-muffin” elastic waistband.  At approximately 1.75 inches (4.45 cm), it carries the signature Andrew Christian name along with sporty stripes.  The tri-color waistband, along with the contrast stitching along the leg openings and on both sides of the pouch, adds an additional sporty look to the overall design.

In summary, if you’re hot natured and sweat a lot anytime you exert even the least amount of physical activity, then these cool, lightweight, and absorbent briefs are a perfect addition to your underwear collection and come highly recommended.

In the past week, I’ve tested 3 pair of underwear from the 2xist SLIQ (sleek) collection and, unfortunately, these are my least favorite.  In reviewing any pair of underwear, I attempt to stay very subjective and open minded; however, these were a real challenge and left me somewhat disappointed.  Typically, I find 2xist to be the leader and one of the top designers when it comes to men’s fashionable underwear that I fall in love with. These briefs simply don’t fit the bill.

Overall the briefs are well constructed and consist of the typical blend of fabrics which consists of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  This provides adequate support, flexibility, and comfort but these unfortunately didn’t hold up during my test. To be more specific, the seam around the bottom of the leg would not keep the brief in place and I constantly had to adjust by pulling them across by ass.  This wasn’t an issue of wrong size; I have a 31” waist and these were a medium size pair.  I have to believe that they weren’t cut properly to cover the entire backside of my buttocks as it caused the fabric to pucker from the base of my leg up to the lower hip.  Sorry 2xist, but you need to take these back to the drawing board.

However, I will acknowledge the fact that these briefs are very light weight and extremely comfortable and create a very sleek esthetic.   In all other aspects, I wasn’t disappointed with how they supported my junk, which is actually one of their signature features with the SLIQ line.  Their extreme contoured pouch offers more support and an enhanced natural profile.

In summary, I think 2xist may have to rethink their design or it could have simply been a case of a defective pair. I would have expected this to be discovered during inspection. I’m not suggesting that you totally disregard this brief but it might be something you look out for when testing out their new SLIQ line.  These briefs are available in the following colors:  Black (as shown), Sangria, Charcoal, and White.

Croota provided me with this pair of underwear to review.

I was given a pair of Papi Cool Pass United Trunk – Mexico to review and was very excited as this was the first pair of Papi Underwear that I’ve worn.  They were incredibly comfortable and showed off all the good things in life.  When I first put them on, I heard a little stitch popping but never saw any evidence of it.  I was a little concerned that I might have received a pair that was a too small for me but that was not the case.  After several washings and wearings, I can say they have held up nicely.  🙂

These are great undies and I love the colors.  My wife thought I was wearing Christmas undies because of the red, green, and white color scheme.  When she saw the number on it, she realized they were a sports trunk supporting our brothers south of the border (in Mexico) and she really liked how they showed things off “south of the border”.

This great pair of undies hugs the boys and keeps everything right where it needs to be.  There is a pouch front that gives good support and provides a great profile.  They are made of 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex.

If you are looking for a great trunk and want something that would be great for the holidays then check out Papi Cool Pass United Trunk – Mexico.  I’m thankful for the opportunity to try these and I really did fall in love with Papi!  So check out all that Papi has to offer at http://papiinc.com/thepapistore/. You won’t regret it.

Thank you, Papi, for providing me with this pair of underwear to review.

I got a whole bunch of Undergear.com undies

I got to meet with Undergear.com back in Aug while in Vegas. I am expecting some really great things from them. They are stepping up quality, have a great designer, and redoing the holiday catalog (as we have seen)! UnderGear is taking underwear seriously.

The pair I got to review was the Body Tech ® Solid Brief which is a mix of a brief and a boxer brief. The first thing I noticed was the covered waistband. I am typically not a fan of because I don’t think they fit as well as most. But, again, I was surprised. The waist band fit pretty well.

The Solid Pair, in general, really impressed me. I liked the fit and the pouch it created. More often then not, boxer briefs really don’t fit me well and bunch up and don’t have support in the pouch. These did and I was glad they did. I would suggest checking them out.

We get the second in the Obviously series. This time, we get to check out the new Full Cut Boxer Brief. This is another pair from the Autumn line.  Once again I got another green pair! YES! So now I have probably 3-4 pairs. When I think of it, the other pair of Obviously I have is also green. So, I guess there is something with me, Obviously, and green.

I will say I was looking forward to these because, of the pouch. I don’t care for boxer briefs without a pouch. The Obliviously pouch is ergonomically designed. I do like how they have integrated it into the boxer briefs.  Some of my favorite boxer briefs all have pouches. Not all pairs do, so I usually stay away from the ones without pouches. Hence why this pair was perfect for me

The pair really fit well. I was very happy with them. I wore them on a night out. I knew that I probably wouldn’t have much issue with them since I enjoyed the brief. It was a low key movie night at a friends. The one thing that really struck me with these is it didn’t feel like I was wearing boxer briefs. I felt like I was wearing briefs

These are also available in the same four colors as the Low Rise Brief: Plum, Kiwi, Glacier and Blue Stone. Like I said, they are perfect for Autumn

It’s been a long time since we have reviewed some Obviously, possibly over a year. They have released a brand new line called Autumn. If you have been on the net, you have seen these at many of your favorite retailers. I got two pair to review: the Low Rise Brief and the Full Cut Boxer. This review is about the Brief.

When I got the briefs, I noticed they are my favorite color: green. There aren’t too many green undies out there. It’s a rare color lately, so that had me super excited. The current range of colors are: Plum, Kiwi, Glacier, and Blue Stone. They are the perfect colors for Autumn.

The one thing I have always liked about Obviously is the pouch. It’s just very ergonomically designed. It really fits well and doesn’t hold things in and make you uncomfortable through out the day. As most of you know, a pouch is one of my favorite things. So, I have to say hats off to Obviously for that!

I wore them to run errands, and yes, it seems I have a lot of errands lately. They fit pretty well. They are also super soft and you can tell they really pay attention to materials. Have you ever had a pair of underwear that just drove you crazy because of the materials it was made out of? Well I don’t think you will have that problem with these.

I reviewed the briefs and now it’s time to review the Boxer Brief. We all know I’m a little picky when it comes to Boxer Briefs. I hate the ones that ride up, drive me crazy, and loose their form. So, I had big hopes for this pair and it would live up to the Spanx quality.

I will say I wasn’t disappointed. Like the briefs, these have the 3D technology. Pouches in boxer briefs are something I always love. The pouch is very similar to the brief. The pair that I wore to run errands in, really held up well. My usual concerns with riding up didn’t happen. These pretty much held their shape all day. The legs stayed in place and the rest kept its form.

I will say that Spanx is doing a great job with men’s underwear. I think the boxer briefs would be great for wearing to work or even to the gym. They have the panel in the front that allows airflow and they are very classic styling.  Like the briefs, these are not shape wear but they are definitely great quality underwear.

I wore these for a full day which sometimes makes me nervous with a review pair. I usually wear them for a bit and then again a second time. I had no choice but to go from 8 in the morning till 8 that night. I was very happy and even happier that I have a matching t-shirt and tank to go with them!
