Pros: Fun, bold design, great durability.

Cons: Awkward pouch in crotch.

pleep recommendations: If you are a fan of compression shorts at the gym or wearing them just out and about.  these would be good to look at. The color choices are Navy, Hunter and Black.

This pair was the first time I had worn shorts from N2N. I have worn their tights, jockstrap, thongs, singlets before (and the shirt that had been in the previous review) but never shorts. Consequently, I didn’t know what to expect from them.  The fabric, like all N2N items felt amazing and was super soft. The cut of course was very sexy, but with how these are cut.  They may not be the most practical at a gym if you either have a large booty or package or go to a conservative gym.

I wore these shorts around the condo as well as to the gym. I had first worn them around the condo and had loved how they felt while wearing them.  They do not ride up if you do a lunge or a squat. I then wore them at the gym. Which is when I had gotten a lot of heads to turn, for two reasons. The pouch in the front has your package very much so on display, and the back is designed to show off your… assets.

The size I received from them was a L and it fit perfectly everywhere. They are def cut to the standard American size L, so if you normally wear a L then go on and buy a L for this one too.

getting social withWe love underwear, right? I mean that’s why I’m here writing about it and presumable why you are here reading about it. Many of us have our favorite brands, right? Maybe it has something to do with the first pair you ever wore or just a certain style or fabric blend. Whatever the reason, we enjoy one or two more than more. I want to highlight something that I have so thoroughly enjoyed about different brands with you all. Being social.

Sometimes it can definitely feel that the more we engage with social media the less social life actually is. Pick your face up from the screen! I agree. However, social media has also let us engage with companies like never before. When done correctly it can be fun, charming, and informative. Nowadays many of my favorite brands are also the most social ones. It gives me something extra, I physically feel closer to the undies themselves.

One of my favorite brands is Timoteos/Cellblock13. They’re underwear is great, top notch, sexy, and all around a wonderful buy. Then we add on a layer of interaction online that I get genuinely excited about. The guy behind their Twitter and Instagram is a fun.  Anice guy that responds to posts in an equally nice way that makes me, a consumer, feel appreciated and special. He’s always quick to send an encouraging or complementary emoji or sentence. It’s just nice.

Equally, if not more so, Jack Adams USA has an amazing Twitter game. It’s always nice to get retweeted or liked but it’s even better when they come with responses as well. They engage and that’s enduring.

Underwear companies, generally speaking, are small staffs. They run on the lowest amount of people they can because they have to. So when they can still spend time to have fun on social media it means something.

Try sending a company a direct message or a tweet and I bet you some with respond with boiler plate responses. If any and others will interact with enthusiasm and spirit. It makes a big difference.

I messaged a brand once, upon just discovering it, reaching out for more info about it. Where could it be bought, how long had they been around, just looking to learn more and interact. I was directed to just look at the website. That was it. Literally just, “Info can be found here.” I was turned off. The underwear itself is fine, very cute and something I had not come across before and I did buy a pair but that was it. An unsatisfying interaction with a brand I could have easily seen myself being very loyal too. Opportunity wasted, I guess.

These experiences can matter.

Many of us like to feel that extra sense of kinship, of ownership, of friendship with things we send a fair amount of money on. I’ve gotten to find those feelings through social media interactions with certain brands.

So if you want to engage (and I highly encourage you to) here are some brands I’ve had GREAT experiences with (in no way is this exhaustive, others play along too):

Jack Adams USA, Timoteo, Cellblock13, N2N Bodywear, The Crochet Empire, SUKREW, Garcon Model, and /baskit/.

Spider Jock 1This week a new brand got in touch with us. That brand is 4 Hunks. They are a company based out of Berlin, Germany. They are a mix of Brazilian sex appeal, Japanese high tech and German high quality. Which is a very interesting combination for sure! 4 Hunks has several things we love, but today we are going to focus on the Spider Jock, because it is Jockstrap Wednesday.

Redesigning a classic can go good or bad. The Spider Jock is one of those great redesigns of a classic. From the front the jock looks like a little different. You’re not sure if it’s a jock or brief. It really intrigued me. As you turn around you notice there are three straps not two. In a traditional jock you have a waist band and leg strap.

The 4 Hunks has two waist band straps and leg straps. My interpretation is that it’s a play of the wider jock waistband. But made out of two straps to show a cut out around the waist. Plus this would give the pouch a little more support, with two additional straps attaching to it. I mentioned the support above, the straps create an enhancement. It will show off your bulge, so they say. The way the construction is it creates an uplift that will show off your bulge.

There are two different color combinations as well. They are white/blue and black/red. The use of the contrasting color is pretty awesome. It’s used to create lines to enhance the pair. There is something about the strong lines that I just like. Each strap is half of each color on it. The pouch is then outlined in the contrast color. There is just something super sexy about this design to me. I think it’s so cool and innovative.

I love this jock and 4 Hunks has some more gear including underwear, singlets and harnesses. We will have more about this innovative German brand soon!

One of the main trends in Modus Vivendi’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection is the return of stripes. The Greek underwear and menswear brand has just released a new line that features stripes combined with neon accents. The new Narrow Line comprises four styles of underwear and some great looking T-Shirts to wear them with! The underwear styles are briefs, mini briefs, boxer briefs and jockstraps, all of which are available in three colourways, with thin black and white stripes as the base and vibrant, neon waists and trim.

The campaign photographs were shot in the dunes of Pinamar in Argentina by one of today’s hottest South American photographers, Gastohn Barrios. The campaign presents a nautical theme and the sexy sailor on shore leave is portrayed by model Daian Zubieta.

1We all love men’s underwear. Each of us has our favorite styles, colors and fabrics. Underwear really is a personal experience for each guy. I think this is why we have such a passion for great underwear. We get to wear what fits us the best and makes us feel sexy as hell!

I got thinking of Masculinity in underwear after a talk with Andy (an interview coming out soon). He’s Leather Title holder and wears lace. I won’t go into all we talked about, but it is going to be a great talk! Our talk lasted about an hour. To coin a term used today “He gives no fucks” in what he wears.

Masculinity goes beyond lace. It centers around fabric, styles and colors. Society has told us what a man should wear. It shouldn’t be this and it shouldn’t be that. It should only be in this narrow defined category. Outside of that, some people will wonder if you’re light in the loafers.

Luckily, we are in a time that is changing. In the late 2000’s the color pink came into the world of men’s underwear. It took the industry by storm. Guys couldn’t get enough pink. Before this time, pink was not a color that mainstream companies would use for underwear. It was considered a color that was only used in women’s underwear. Now, very few give it a second thought about wearing or using pink. Other colors have started to come into men’s underwear as a result. Pastels, purple, and others considered on the feminine side are being produced every year.

Next is fabric. Not just lace but other fabrics are considered not manly. Silk was only to be used in boxers. While satin was not to be used at all. It had to be 100% cotton. Anything outside of that was a no no. We are shattering those rules. Satin underwear can be super sexy.  Brands like BodyAware are showing just how sexy. I think I have seen underwear in just about every fabric combination. Brands like Gregg Homme and Pistol Pete are always playing with new fabrics to give guys more options. And let’s not forget Mesh. I could go on for hours about mesh! But I won’t!

Lastly is styles. This is a debate we still have going on today in mainstream society. Guys should just wear tights whities, boxer briefs or boxers. Anything that shows off the bulge, is a different cut or sexualizes a guy is not tolerated. Thongs are showing a up swing in popularity. This is across the board and not just for the gay market. Yet, for many of our straight underwear brothers, they are in the underwear closet. They get labeled “gay” or “fruity” for liking the fit and comfort.  The same is said of bikinis or anything that is smaller than the “norm.”

I’m making a bold statement and saying that all men’s underwear is masculine. That is underwear that is designed for men and accommodates their assets (for a lack of better word). Yes, certain styles may not fit society or our own ideals of Masculinity. Just think, maybe for that guy who does wear them thinks its masculine.

Each of us has our own definition of masculinity. Mine is “a guy doing what he wants that empowers him and makes him feel great.” We need to all band together and fight the male underwear double standard. Wear what you feel great in, and pardon my language but “Fuck anyone who doesn’t agree.”  We will explore this topic a lot more!

It’s that time of year again. Time for cookouts, fireworks, and..underwear sales?! You may not think so, but several retailers and designers are having big sales this weekend. We will keep this post updated as new sales are announced.

UN2-16-3The Stone Wash Classic Cotton G was furnished by N2N Bodywear.

Rating: 8.2/10

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 8/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: Interesting color, good looking thong.

Cons: A little worried about the wrong tag.

Underweardude recommendation: If you like to wear thongs on a day to day basis, or even if you don’t. This would make a fine addition to your underwear drawer.

Today I will be reviewing another new pair that I received for review by N2N.  A cousin of the Neon G from a few days ago. You might say, the Stone Wash Classic Cotton G. Like the Neon pair. What makes this pair different from the core Classic Cotton line is the color. On its website N2N says it is “Pigment dyed for a vintage look”, and that definitely  rings true. Sure, at first glance it does just sort of look like a plain old blue, but not quite. The shade feels basic, yet also deep and complex. It’s hard to describe. To me, it also makes the fabric look a bit worn in already, in a sense.  But in a good UN2-16-7way, like wearing a significant others shirt or such. Like you’ve owned it for years right out of the box. That may not be an ideal look for everyone, but I think it brings a sense of charm to the pair. As long time readers might know, blue is one of my favorite colors, so of course I jumped at a chance to try this pair. Like the Neon line, the size/care tags are dyed nearly the exact same color as the pair. I’m really enjoying this trend. If you aren’t getting rid of or are unable to get rid of care/size tags, you might as well have some fun with them. Would love to see other designers who haven’t already gone to printing that information on the pair directly  pick up this idea. Size wise the pair was pretty much fine, as usual for me, since I practically straddle the S/M divide.

There was one odd thing with the pair. The tag stated that the pair was not cotton, but polyester. I was profoundly confused. A quick check of  N2N’s website states that. Obviously, the line is made out of cotton.  The pair feels nearly identical to the other cotton N2N pairs that I own. Though I do not consider myself an expert on this by any means. I chalk it up to simple manufacturing mistake. I’ve been wearing N2N for about a decade now, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this. Not a big worry to me.

Though I normally don’t participate in the trend of Thong Thursday, I wanted to give this pair a real good test. I wore it for a  long walk and to work. I only really noticed it once at work, and it quickly went back to normal. The pair didn’t get annoying or needed any adjustment. Despite the near constant movement required at my job.  Like its brightly colored cousin I reviewed recently. I would certainly recommend this pair for a thong lover wanting to get an N2N cotton pair with just a bit more color to it tun usual. A good middle ground between the more subdued colors offered by the main line, and the loud colors available in Neon.

You Should Own One - Speedo Solar Swim Brief

To preface this post a bit, I do prefer more of a bikini style swim brief or micro brief. My favorite swim brief is the HOM micro swim brief, which they no longer produce. The one I’m going to suggest that you should have in your collection. Is between a typical swim brief and a micro brief.

I’ll call this brief the skimpiest conservative swimsuits that is perfect to wear anywhere you please. It should be acceptable swim attire everywhere that it is acceptable for a women to wear a bikini. It’s a swim brief that pretty much gives you full frontal and rear cover. The best feature is it has narrower sides than a typical swim brief. This suit is made by Speedo and they list it as one of their best sellers. So what swim brief is it that I think everyone should own?

If you haven’t guessed by now or figured it out from the picture. The swimsuit I’m talking about is the Speedo Solar 1″ Brief. This is one case where I think a well known brand is somewhat of a benefit. With Speedo being a big swim brand, I think it helps some with acceptability. This is especially so, since swim briefs still seem to be shunned to some extent. Normally, I don’t recommend something because it is a particular brand, a trending brand, or a big brand. But doesn’t hurt in this case.

This suit is great for reducing your tan lines at least a bit more over a normal swim brief. Though the sides are more of 1 1/2″ width than the 1″ stated. They’re well made with them being the Speedo brand. It’s a great fitting swim brief and one that will stay where it belongs swimming or in the waves. This is also a great transition swim brief for those wanting to go from a full swim brief to more of a micro swim brief. So far I have 5 styles/colors of this swim brief and would not hesitate to add more. Once I finally break into a full fledged swim brief wearer at the beach. This is going to be my go to conservative swim brief.

The Neon Cotton Classic G is Furnished by N2N Bodywear

Rating: 8.5/10

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 8.5/10

Pros: Great color, good look.
Cons: No overwhelming cons.
Underweardude Recommendation: If you like brightly colored thongs. This pair is for you.

When I first got a look at N2N’s new lines for 2016, I was surprised. Not only did they have a bunch of new lines. They decided to turn one line into several by branching out the Classic Cotton line. Adding two other varieties to it. Today I will be talking about the Classic Cotton Neon line. Specifically the Neon G. The Neon line is a new variety from the venerable classic cotton line by N2N. Much about the pair is the same as older versions of the line, except for one major difference: the color. While previously available only on more traditional tones. This line comes in bright and loud neon varieties of pink and yellow.

N2N provided the pair for review, and from the moment I took it out of the packaging I couldn’t wait to try it on.  The color is just great. While I usually stay away from pairs in these sort of shades, I love the look of the yellow pair I received. The yellow hue that was chosen is strong, not pale, and in some angles and types of light it almost looks neon green to me. The color of the pair just pops while you wear it, and is a great idea to shake up the line. A nice small touch is that the size/care tag is dyed the same color as the pair. Which N2N seems to be doing a lot these days but I quite like the attention to detail. The sizing was fine for me. Perhaps a tiny bit tight but i’m on the larger side of size small and after wearing it for awhile it went away.

Besides the color change, this is the N2N Classic Cotton thong you know and love. Great pouch, good low rise fit, skimpy, but still covers more than you’d think. I think the bright color helps show off the cut. I like how I look in this pair a fair bit more than the dark grey pair I already own.  I wore this pair on the weekend, and it performed admirably. Whether it was out and about running errands, household chores, a long walk, or a night out with friends. This thong pretty much didn’t bother me at all. I also honestly couldn’t stop checking out how it looks in the mirror. That color is simply fantastic!

If you want a great everyday thong with a pop of color, look no farther. If you already own a Classic Cotton thong, think of it as a car you love, but now with an awesome new paint job. Simply put, this takes an already good daily wearable thong, which not too many are, and adds a great look to it. I really wish they had one in neon green too. I like it that N2N is not only coming out with new lines. But expanding their core products with additional variety, which I think is a great idea. As for what the other new variety of Classic Cotton is, well, you’ll just have to wait for my next post to find out.

Hello Kinksters,

How have you been these past couple weeks? I am quite exhausted this week. Not only am I working the youth summer camp at the circus school during the day. I somehow agreed to sub a coworker’s week of adult night classes as well. The upside is that I’m ready to go on my gaycation next week (fabulous gay resort for all of next week in Florida). This week’s Fetish Friday is a concept post, about a trend I see pop up here and there. I have to credit BeauBriefs for posting a pic on twitter (@underloverwear) of his new JackAdams Jockstrap that has a window just above his penis. I have a few pairs of undies with a window there too, so I started thinking about the art of the male décolletage.

Now, traditionally the term décolletage applies to the area of a woman’s chest above her breasts to her neck. Most often used to talk about necklines of dresses that enhance or showcase that part of a woman’s body. For this post, I would like to broaden that term. Transform the term’s meaning into any fashion that highlights the area leading up to an area of heightened arousal.

DecolletageAndrewChristianTeaserBoxer

Now, you aren’t ever EVER gonna find me telling people what I want them to do with their pubic hair. But I am gonna share that in my opinion, the hottest “style” for any of these looks is slightly trimmed to moderately trimmed. I don’t find the baby-shaved look that appealing. I think the full bush might detract from the window concept a little.

The brand BeauBriefs was rocking on his twitter is the Punter Body Flex Jockstrap from Jack Adams USA. I think that’s next on my purchase list (thanks Beau for the inspiration).

DecolletageJackAdams

BodyAware makes a pretty fun Neon Cabana Tanga with the window too. It comes in Neon Orange, Neon Green and Neon Yellow.

DecolletageBodyAware

I would love readers to suggest their favorite male décolletage pairs that I haven’t mentioned. Let’s see how many we can find. What are your feelings on this? Décolletage: love it or leave it?

Until next time my sexy friends,

Keep it kinky!

TtheAmazing, over and out.

What is yourIn our reader survey we asked you guys who influences your buying decisions. It’s not like you can walk in any department store and buy what you want, when you want it. Many brands are only available through the net. Then there is the whole double standard (which I have tried to write about 3 times today and just gave up. It’s a complicated issue). After 5 paragraphs in I asked, Is this topic important to say or am I preaching to the choir. I chose the later.

Emails from brands

This one was a shock for me. Not that it’s an influencer but it’s number one. There is a combination of why this makes sense. The first is they announce when new pairs are released. You will be given a link and be able to buy right then. Sometimes we get advance notice and publish it before it’s available to buy. Next, brands and retailers send out emails about sales. If it’s a good sale, you guys will definitely shop!

Reviews

This one made us at UNB very happy. We love sharing our opinions on the brands we review. Sometimes they are good and other times they are bad. Reviews allow you to hear how someone liked the pair. What are the great points and the parts we fell need some work. This is one area where if you have further questions we didn’t cover, contact us and we will answer them for you. It may help us refine our review process.

Social Media influencers

I figured this would be the top influencer of you guys. Social media influencers are more than just guys posting pictures in underwear. You guys mentioned other underwear blogs like The Bottom Drawer and Men’s Underwear Blog. Real guys on social media like Underweardude, Bikinisnthongs and BiThongdude. Celebrities such as Seth Fornea and Colby Melvin. And lastly brands such as Nasty Pig, International Jock and  Dead Good Undies. Twitter wasn’t the only social media sites you guys use. Other sites were Instagram and Tumblr.

News Write Ups

News write ups are posts on our blog and others informing you on what new pairs are released. Not everyone wants to sign up brand’s email list. We try to keep you informed as much as we can. Even introduce you to new and up and coming brands. We have included new posts to profile pairs. Post such as Jockstrap Wednesday, Thong Thursday, Swimwear Sunday and Undie Monday. We do this because we think deserve more attention. It’s not easy to keep up with all the pairs released. But we do our best to cover things we think are fun and awesome.

Partner/significant other

As much as we say we pick our own undies. Our partners/significant others play a big part in what we buy. That is if you have one! You will buy things that they will like to see you wearing. Some guys get their partners involved in the purchase. Our very own Salvatore usually gets his wife to pick out a lot of his review pairs he receives from us. I’m sure more husbands and wives do this for their partner. They may have veto power or not. When I last dated my partner at the time hated one pair that I loved. I bought it anyway.

Friends

Lastly, friends influence you. This could be real life friends or social media friends. Some of us have friends we can talk underwear with at times. We can talk about new brands and what we love. Others don’t have that in their lives. Enter the world of Twitter where you can create a pseudonym and talk to like-minded guys. In a judgement free zone. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay/bi/straight. We are all brothers in underwear.

My personal influencers are: Social Media, Brands and friends. I have made a lot of friends through the blog and many will email me when they find a new brand. Also, I’ll see new lines and brands online. We don’t always get notified when there are new lines out. Some brand produces new pairs every two weeks. Lastly, are brands. Much like you guys I do subscribe to email lists and get to see when things are released.

These are just a few of the top influencers you guys pointed out to us. It gives us some great insight into what motivates you guys! I hope you enjoy these posts. You guys are the most amazing guys!
