I wrote about a week ago is the jock going away. I think we know it’s not! The jock is evolving and changing in the years since I started UNB. It’s gone from athletics and fetish to Fashion. One more evolution of the jock is lace. You heard me right lace! Men’s lace was a trend but I think it’s here to stay in one way or another. It’s the further mixing of masculine and feminine.
One company that isn’t shy about using lace in its designs is Candyman Fashion. They have used it in many forms over the years. This time they created a jock brief made out of lace. Unlike other pairs of lace the pouch in this pair is solid and around the back is the lace. To me, this pair is really sexy. I know it’s not for everyone, but if you have wanted to try lace, I say do it now!
I love the color as well. It’s not a typical color in men’s underwear. The burgundy has a touch of the feminine side. I will admit I would love to see this in a blue or a red. Something bright that brings attention. Because let’s face it if you’re wearing this pair you want to be noticed. This isn’t one pair you want to hide. You wear it for a specific person or time.
This is more of a jock brief than a jock. The hybrid has really taken over in a lot of fashion and fetish. This pair is all about fashion. Super fun and sexy! I’m sure if you wear this for someone special you will be rewarded by the viewer!  Find it at Candyman Fashion site

How to keep your confidence when you don’t feel good in undies

We all can’t be an underwear supermodel all the time. We go through phases where we put on weight and look at ourselves in the mirror and go “I just can’t today.’ We hate what we see in the mirror. The underwear doesn’t even look like the pair we bought. It’s like someone broke in and switched out all of your underwear for a few sizes too small. Sometimes we wear it anyway and other times we just put on something quick.

So what do you do when you don’t feel your best either short or long term? I am going through that now and want to share some wisdom with you guys.

You have the power to change it

If you are able and healthy, you have the power to change both your physical and mental well being. Sometimes its short-term like holiday pounds and other times it revolves around just getting through life. You have to buckle down and do what is important to you. I personally have reached the point in my life, I want to change things. I weigh probably the most I have ever weighed and it sucks. I had a lot going on and didn’t want to deal with what was in the mirror. But, it doesn’t go away. I had to realize I needed to change.

Here is my plan:

  • Visited a nutritionist – found out everything I liked to eat was bad for me and got some ideas for eating better
  • Track Calories – I”m tracking what I eat. I’m the kind of person if I don’t I’ll go yeah I can eat that and finally figure I ate like 5,000 calories later.
  • Start exercising – I’m still not doing this year but I’m starting with low impact and working my way up. I never really worked out so it can be intimidating to go in and figure out what the hell to do.
  • Reaffirm your self-worth – Just tell yourself that you are working on change and not to internalize the feelings. Depending on who you are this could be harder to do.

Talk to friends about your issues

I think a lot of times we fall off the wagon with anything, not just weight. We have a lot of other issues we don’t want to deal with at all. Mine dealt with a few health issues (nothing serious), money, and career. I opened up to friends and told them everything I was feeling. It made me feel better and I didn’t turn to food or drinking to solve those problems. Let me say that depending on your issue you may not be able to talk to friends but turn to someone. Issues about health (serious issues), sexuality, and gender identity you may need to seek out someone who has been where you are at now.

Push Through Bad Times

I never have anything go to plan. It’s just a fact of life that something will go wrong and there will be setbacks. You just have to push through and keep going. Its hard as hell sometimes, but if you want to accomplish anything you have to keep the momentum going. And don’t punish yourself if you fall off the wagon. Just get up and keep doing what you are doing. If you give up all your hard work will be for nothing. There are many times I ate something and was like “Hell, fuck it now, let’s eat these cookies.”

Reward Yourself for accomplishing goals

I’m the kind of person I need a carrot along the way. I set goals along the way and set up rewards. It could be eating something I really love or doing something. Celebrate the journey. If I have one giant goal, I get more frustrated about reaching it. However, if it set up smaller goals along the way. It will make you feel like you are accomplishing what you set your mind too.

This may all sound “Pollyanna” and Sunshine. Just know I’m one of the most “glass half empty” people you will ever meet. Even the glamorous life of an Underwear Blogger may not go to play (said sarcastically) I just rarely share really personal things and want to open up to you guys more. Thanks for reading guys!

New Xtremen Collection for 2018

The first collection of Xtremen we saw really expanded their briefs. The brand has been known as one of all things boxer briefs. The second collection of 2018 puts the focus back on the boxer briefs! These are a style that has it’s following. We don’t cover them as often as we should. We have a core group of guys who wear them on a regular basis. If you are a huge boxer brief fan and want to write, hit us up! But in the meantime here is the new collection.

The history of the brand is to make longer boxer briefs (just above the knee). The colors are solids, geometric prints, stripes and other graphic prints. They have had some of the most amazing colors on the market. The new collection has many of these same things, including one brief! I had to sneak that in there!

Believe it or not but I find longer boxer briefs really sexy. I’m not sure exactly why but I like them a lot. Here are a few of the new pairs of the 2018-2 Xtremen Collection

Raw Studios goes Classic with their Swimwear

You may know Raw Studios from their awesome jocks. They make some of the best fetish and regular jocks on the market. But, they are more than just jocks. They have started their first line of swimwear! You may be asking what are the designs of the new line. Well, some may be shocked to know that they went more classic as opposed to some of their jocks! They opted for a Sunga design.

If you are a long time reader you know we have covered sungas. Sungas are the traditional swimwear of Brazil. Well, maybe unofficial. It’s bigger than a swim brief but smaller thank a trunk. It doesn’t have a pouch built in but the material forms one. You have seen this style on guys you see on beaches in Rio.

I really like the cut of the sunga and larger swim brief. I personally think they look better on more body types. This is a smart design decision from Raw Studios. The new line has two prints, two florals and one solid. The solid is a black, which is a classic in swimwear. This initial collection is pretty awesome from the brand.

The pricing isn’t bad on the collection either. It’s $45-52 a pair. While not the cheapest but definitely in the affordable range for most guys after swimwear. I know many of you out there are looking for a new swim suit for the season. If you are put this on your list! I don’t think you will be disappointed at all! Swimwear Sunday – Andrew Christian Almost Naked Boundary Bikini

It’s Swimwear Sunday! Time to get you geared up for this summer with some amazing swimwear. This week’s pair is one that I personally love. I have always been a big fan of color block swimwear. It goes way back to my early 20’s and it’s something I have always loved. When I saw the Andrew Christian Almost Naked Boundary Bikini, I knew we had a winner for this week. It comes in two colors, a black/grey and blue/green. I am focusing on the blue/green

Before I get started can I say that it’s amazing to have swimwear with a great pouch? The Almost Naked pouch that I love in undies is on swimwear. To me, it’s just as important to have a great pouch in swimwear as it is in underwear. Granted more people are going to see you in this but who cares, if you’re rocking a swim brief, give them something to look at!

The front is a solid blue with green trim. It looks pretty simple from the front. Then from the back, it has blue, green, and white stripes. I kind of wish this was carried over to the front. I know it’s not easy to create the look on the front that matches the back. Plus it may not look as awesome. The colors of this pair also speak to swim. My personal opinion is that swimwear should be bright and fun.

Pros:

UNB Tim recommendation: I love the designs of 4 Hunks. I personally love fetishwear and athletic gear. They mix the both of these things in one. This jock is a perfect mix of both. It’s sexy and fun. It can be worn more than just in the fetish world. If you want a fun jock you need to check it out!

I was looking forward to this jock for a while. I love the design of this jock. It’s a mix of athletic and fetish in one. Well, that’s my take! The mesh front makes it perfect for working out and the back design definitely has a fetish inspiration to me. After reviewing the Load Brief, I was curious about this pair.

One thing I wasn’t sure in the picture was the material of the pouch. I wasn’t sure it was all mesh or the center panel was mesh. Well, I can say it’s all mesh but the side panels have more material. The center has no pouch. Those who hate center seams on pouches rejoice, this one was purposefully made without one.

I wore this to work when I knew there would be a lot of physical activity. I wanted to sorta put it through its paces. The pouch occasional rubbed me the wrong way. But, that’s this material and how it reacts to me at times. It just takes a little adjustment and it’s back to feeling good. I’m not sure I would wear this to work out. It would def draw looks in the locker room!

The fabric for this pair was very similar to the Load Brief. It was well made and actually kept me cool all day. Fabric composition of the pair isn’t listed on the site, well that I could find. The front is a sports mesh type material. The pouch has a full frontal bulge pouch. This pouch will give you ample support throughout the day.

The sizing is something you need to look at the sizing charts. This pair fits me pretty well. I had no complaints. It’s always important to look at the sizing chart. 4 Hunks has one that doesn’t go to full sizes. It’s VERY important to check it out. The XL I got fit pretty well.

I really loved this pair. The mix of athletic and fetish makes it super sexy. You can pair this with one of their harnesses and go full on fetish. Or you can rock it under a pair of jeans or even a suit. It’s up to you to wear to the gym! If you’re a guy who doesn’t want to draw attention to yourself, don’t wear it. If you don’t mind the attention, well then rock on!

Get your pouch on with New Ergowear

Who loves a great pouch? Raise your hand, well that is probably everyone who reads UNB. Pouches are always top of the list on must have in underwear. One of the best companies for a pouch is Ergowear. They have different kinds of pouches. Three to be exact, the X3D, Feel and Max. Each pouch style has their fans! The new collection is also one for those who love BLUE and those who love the Feel pouch (The two are not together)

The new blue collection is the new Max Suave collection. The Suave collection is made out of the softest material. It feels so amazing on your skin. The fabric is a 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex. Very soft touch, high elasticity, highly resistant fiber, very low moisture absorption. Making this line ideal for working out. It comes in the usual styles, thong, bikini, mini boxer, and long boxer brief.

I can’t recommend the Suave line enough. It’s probably one of my favorite lines by Ergowear. Fabric that is super soft is one of the top factors for me to choose underwear. This line will feel amazing on your skin and give you the extra support you need for a day at work or at the gym.

Not to be outdone the Feel Line has an update as well. Unlike the Suave collection, this comes in two colors. Granted it’s two basic colors, black and white. Basic ends there because this is a modal collection. I know a lot of you out there love Modal as much as I do! If I could choose just one fabric for underwear it would be Modal! The fabric is a 90% modal and 10% elastane blend. The styles available in the line are the long boxer, mini boxer, bikini, and thong. These are the standard styles in the Ergowear line. Lastly, is the pouch. It’s the Feel pouch that allows you to hang freer than the other pouches.

Thong Thursday – Custom Made Thongs?

We have had a few guys ask us lately about custom made underwear. Specifically custom made thongs.  There are a few brands out there doing this, such as Meyers and Skinzwear.  Many guys want the know is it worth the money and what the experience was like 

First, let me vouch for the quality of Mwear.  Last year I got one of their Pride thongs.  I am not the hugest thong fan and it was hands down one of the best thongs I have ever worn. So I can only imagine how a custom pair will feel. 

I think the first issue guys want to know about is the fit really that good.  For a lot of thong makers, they let you choose every aspect of the pair. The color, pouch, back and more.  If you need more room in the pouch. No problem just order the super-sized pouch. 

Next guys want to know the timeframe for getting the pair sent to them.  Brands all have different time frames. The brands that have standard parts that they just sew together will take a shorter time. Such as you order the bigger pouch in pink leopard print.  Whereas brands like Mwear that either get you to send in sizes or measure you will take longer.  

Lastly, the question many guys have is quality.  Are these pairs really as good as they claim?  Not having purchased one yet. I can’t tell you. But guys who buy them swear by them.  They prefer only custom pairs over off the rack

Model Interview – High Flying Antonio Martinez

We have a great model interview with Antonio Martinez. You have seen in with a few bands and here is your chance to get to know him a bit better.
Why did you want to get into modeling?
I got into modeling through dance and aerial arts… I was getting body and head shots taken and did some creative dance & aerial shots in short athletic shorts and was inspired to continue… the shorts definitely got shorter and shorter as I love to show off in thongs and jock straps!  I then started shooting nudes and now shoot all styles ranging from commercial modeling to erotic.
Why underwear/swimwear underwear/swimwear?
I love modeling underwear and swimwear because I love celebrating the entire male form.  I think men’s bodies are strong, sexy, and beautiful. I work very hard to maintain my physique and love to show it off in sexy underwear and swimwear any chance I get!  Great styles inspire me to model and show off all my assets.
What do you think sets you apart from other models in the industry?
My aerial and dance training definitely sets me apart from others models in the industry.  I know how to move through my poses because I know movement and angels of my body.  My stamina in dance allows me to hold poses and work for long periods as well.  Because of my awareness though, all my photo shoots wrap very quickly because I always get the shots very quickly.  I can follow direction really well and end up creating moments the photographer and director never thought of because of how creative I am on site!
You recently have done shoots for BodyAware, how did you like them? One of your shoots was on silks and acrobatic, can you tell us about that shoot? Did you have experience before on silks and what was it like doing it in Bodyaware’s amazing underwear? 
I absolutely love Bodyaware underwear.  They were a joy to shoot for… very unforgettable!  I love all of the versatility in design and fabrics that BodyAware has to offer!  I am a man of many sensual moods so each piece offers many different “Shades Of Grey” you could say!  Every Bodyaware pant, tank, and underwear is unique and super comfortable while offering tons of sex appeal.

I am currently in love with my mesh white pair of Bodyaware Underwear as well as the mesh neon leggings you saw me model while on the silks.  Both have a large pouch for my bulge and gives me a natural looking lift in the front and back side.  I definitely have to keep the pouches big =).

I have been doing aerial professionally for 10 years now and love using the ability to model underwear!  Aerial is already naturally sexy and so to get to perform aerial while in sexy underwear is fire!!
Are there any underwear/swimwear brands you’d love to work with? Why?
I would love to model for Andrew Christian for their online catalogue and social media!  To be a famous Trophy Boy would be a dream come true.  I have gotten to model and perform dance in one of their videos a while back… it was the ice-cream twirking video that when viral.  I was the model in green underwear hitting a split for the camera =).
What has been your biggest accomplishment in modeling? 
So far my biggest accomplishment in modeling has been my recent feature in DNA magazine shooting with Nick Hernandez and modeling different styles of underwear.
Outside of modeling and working out what do you do in your down time? What are your hobbies and interests?
I love learning… taking dance and aerial classes!  I love hiking and amusement parks as well as hosting wine and cheese parties on my roof top in North Hollywood, CA!
What type of fitness regime do you do to keep in shape, and does it change when you do a shoot?
I work out every day and do completely different work outs / training exercise all the time.  Its called muscle confusion and it is the best thing for me for muscle growth and staying lean.  I train aerial arts a lot as well and so me lifting my own body weight is great for being photo shoot ready all the time.  I also do a lot of partner dancing so lifting women and men in creative ways is always great for the body.

I’m always “camera ready” because of my healthy eating habits and constant training for aerial arts and dance jobs.  If I am aware of a photo shoot coming up though, I will lift just a little bit heavier and also kick up my cardio to get a little bit more definition.

On the day of the shoot, I hit the gym very hard to bring lots of blood to all major muscle groups.  If there is any down time during the shoot, I will perform pushups and squats to maintain blood flow.  I use body oils and a cock ring to accentuate roundness in all the right places 😉

Models can’t always eat great what is your favorite guilty pleasure in food?
I love pizza!!!  Any and all styles of pizza.
We are an underwear blog so what makes up your underwear drawer? (what percentage of briefs, boxer briefs, jocks, thongs do you have?)
I model a ton and I always get to keep the underwear… I have 4 huge drawers filled to the brim of underwear.  I have equal parts of briefs, boxer briefs, jocks, and thongs.  Each style gets its own drawer!
What is one word that describes you?
Passion!
If you were stranded on a deserted island what is one thing you must have with you?
I must have my phone! lol!
What is your favorite color?
I love gold because of the color and what it represents… wealth, luxury, and power!

It always surprises people when I tell them I am from Wagoner, Oklahoma… an extremely tiny town with no supportive art programs.  So I didn’t start my artistic dance, aerial, and modeling education until I was 19 years old.

Are Jockstraps a thing of the past?

Jocks have been around for over 100 years. They started out for athletes and in the 70’s it came to the gay fetish world. The 80’s saw some advancement to the style. It was available in colors. The colors were mainly black, red and blue. However, there were brands making other colors. It wasn’t until the late 2000’s that jocks really went more “mainstream.” I called 2009 the year of the jock. Every brand had them and they were no longer work out/athletic gear but a pair of fashion underwear.

Since 2009 the jock isn’t in as many collections. In the world of athletics, UnderArmour has taken over and certain sports now don’t even wear the classic style anymore. In our reader polls and through friends of the blog, I have had a few talks with guys (gay, straight, and bi) on the style. It tends to be the gay guys who love and still wear the jocks. Now, this is not a scientific study but more of an observation on my part.

Young Guys don’t wear them

I am on a few gear sites and it amazes me how many young guys never owned a jock. When you ask them if they wore them in sports they said they would wear UA gear. It’s more about compression gear than the jock. I remember playing little league and being given my first jock. I have a few friends on the sites who told me when they buy their first jock. Most of the times these guys are buying it for the fetish side and not for everyday wear.

Straight guys prefer thongs

Straight guys have bypassed this pair and gone straight to thongs. I asked one of our long-time readers why this is and he told me that his gf/wife didn’t get them. They think the style is silly. They would rather see their man in a thong. This has been echoed by several guys. On top of that, most of them find the thong sexier than a jock. It’s a matter of preference with them and their partners.

Innovation is being done on the Fetish Side

When you see what innovations are happening in the world of jocks, it’s on the fetish side. Look at brands like Cellblock13, Nasty Pig, 4 Hunks and AD Fetish. Each of these brands has some of the best jocks on the market. Timoteo’s Cellblock 13 has fully embraced fetish and been making neoprene jocks with matching harnesses. Which are super hot, well to me. Then you have Nasty Pig making jocks for fetish and fashion. They have done many colors, prints and more. And one that is really making statements is 4 Hunks. They are mixing elastic and mesh! (We will some reviews on them soon). Lastly is the new kid on the block Addicted Fetish.

Is the Jock just for Fetish or does it have a future?

I don’t think the jock is done yet. There are guys who still love the pair and it’s all they wear. It’s always had a place in the fetish world and that won’t be changing anytime soon. Like other things in life, it all happens in cycles. Just the way boxers/boxer briefs are popular, we will swing the other direction. Plus, there are still lots of brands making the pair. Such as C-IN2, JOR, Cocksox and more. I think we will have three areas. The first will of course be Fetish. The second will still be old school athletic jocks in athletics. And the last will be fashion.
