Timoteo really knows how to make amazing fetishwear. I think some of my favorite gear out there is a mix up of different fetish types. Timoteo in the Gridiron collection is inspired by football gear but it’s mixed with leather, neoprene, and spandex. It may sound like a Franken-fetish pair, but it really works and is pretty hot.
The new collection comes in a harness, jock and short. You can wear them together or separate. However, I think the harness should be worn with the other pieces, but that’s just my opinion. You may be asking where all the gear comes in to play. The harness is made to look like football gear and is made out of neoprene and a harness is leather gear. The shorts have the look of football practice shorts including a lace-up front. The short is made out of a spandex blend. Lastly, is the jock, which should be worn during football and is made out of neoprene as well!
The new collection comes in four colors. Those are blue, grey, orange, and red. The orange is probably my favorite because you rarely see it in gear. You can also mix and match colors to make the perfect combination. You can get one or all the new pairs!

If you’re a fan of Clever, they have a new collection out!! They used to release two a year. One in February and one in August. This is not a huge collection but has some new swimwear, thongs, jocks, but the majority are boxer briefs and briefs. The new line has some awesome colors and mesh. Hence our title of going bold!

I have always wanted to do something that brings guys together in our love of gear. It got me thinking that we need to have the swim brief/thong challenge in a setting that is welcome to all. Why not a meet up of guys for a weekend wearing our favorite swimwear?? This would include all guys regardless of sexual orientation or size.
The first question is how many guys would be willing to hang out all weekend in nothing but swimwear? One good thing is the packing would be light, you could fit a ton of swimwear in a carry on bag. It would have to be at a resort that had everything in one place so those who want to relax all weekend can.
The second question is where to have this weekend? Having readers spread all over the country I see two good options. The first is Fort Lauderdale. They have several guest houses and close vicinity to beaches. The second option would be Palm Springs. Which is no stranger to gear weekends? No beaches but a group of men in swim briefs or thongs wouldn’t turn a head by resort owners.
I know that the location would dictate cost for guys on the other coast. If you’re in California, it’s easy to get to Palm Springs in a few short hours by plane or car. If you’re on the east coast, it would be a good 8 hour day with all the travel. And vice versa for those on the west coast for Fort Lauderdale.
This has always been in the back of my mind over the years. Maybe if I put it in a post we can make this happen. I want to be welcoming to all. Our straight gear brothers need a place where you’re encouraged to wear swim briefs. Give them the confidence to go home and rock one at their pools. There are some gay guys I know would love this too!

I was having a text convo with a friend who loves gear as much as I do. We have been friends for about 12 years. We were both saying that we are both starting a work out schedule to look better in our gear. We are both over 6’2″ and considered beefy. That is over 36 inch waists. Our pics and such feature guys who work out and should have no issues rocking a swim brief on the beach. Rarely does it seem guys over 36 inch waists are encouraged to wear a swim brief!
I think beefy guys look awesome in swim briefs. We as a group of guys should never rule them out because others think we don’t look good in them. I have talked to several guys over the years who feel they are being judged when going to a pool party and the muscle boys are in them and when they drop their shorts. The guys look over their sunglasses and nod no and look away. Have I had this happen to me, I’m sure I have over the years. At times I didn’t give any fucks, other times it made me feel insecure.
Very few reading this blog could walk out in front of a camera and be considered an “underwear or swimwear” model. Most of us are average guys. And I’m sure most of us are happy being average. I have said many years ago that I will never have abs because I will never eat that good nor will I work out that long. My goal for health and my well being is a 36-inch waist. There will be no 3-4 hour work out sessions 6 days a week. I have work, the blog, and a social life.
I plan on wearing swim briefs this summer when possible this summer. Being stuck in Atlanta there aren’t many places to wear them. We aren’t near a major body of water and private pools are few and far between. I hope more of you “beefy guys” will consider wearing them. I will continue to post my “body image” journeys here on the blog. I think it’s important to know that you are not alone in your concerns. It would be awesome if we could have a swim brief weekend somewhere with guys reluctant to wear them in public but get courage and confidence from others!

There are a few of our readers who are about to head to Thongers weekend in Palm Springs. It’s a fun weekend of wearing thongs in the sun! I love the print of these. I’m not one for florals but this one just speaks to me. It is also available in a briefs/bikini as well. They both are the same price. Who loves singlets? This is one from N2N Bodywear that we ran in June of 2012. I have two of these and they are amazing! I hope they release this style again.
These undies were furnished by Debriefed and the opinions are that of the reviewer.
Another new brand for me: Debriefed! After visiting their site, I see they sell other brands as well as their own and their overall theme is inclusion. Their long-term goal is to expand the brands they carry to offer a selection of great, affordable undies. I loved the look and feel of these as soon as I opened the package so we were off to a good start.
The first thing you notice with the Debriefed Botanicals, aside from the fun, floral print, is that they are soft. Really soft! (95% modal and 5% spandex) They have a contrast gray waistband, leg and pouch trim which was also covered in the same, soft fabric rather than bare elastic, which I appreciate.
I tried a medium, which says it covers a 33-36” waist. I’m a 32 and they fit just right – not even a little too big, so you might want to size up. These have a nice pouch and plenty of stretch but they are not cut on the big side.

I decided to break these in on a Saturday running errand, then hanging out at home followed by dinner out. They felt great as I pulled them on and got things adjusted. The rear, however, definitely rides up. A lot. The trim around the legs is very light and thin, which makes them comfortable, but it doesn’t hold them in place and almost immediate, up they went. I don’t have much of a butt and the bottom 1/3 of each cheek was showing. That can actually be kind of sexy in my opinion, but it’s not for everyone. If you have a lot going on in the back, you’d practically be wearing a thong after bending down once or twice. This was really the only issue I would foresee someone having with this pair. I actually have some other briefs with a very similar cut and the same thing happens with them, as well.
I’ll be wearing these again and will try other styles from Debriefed. I like what they’re about and the prices are pretty fair – except for shipping, but that’s what happens when your undies come from halfway across the world. They even throw in a gift after you spend a certain amount.
