UNB writers have previously discussed different ways of organizing an underwear drawer. But the problems in organizing underwear also arise when trying to keep straight a growing swimwear collection. Here’s what I did recently to try to contain the clutter and ease the process of selecting the appropriate swimwear for my chosen watersports activity.

I started with a Skubb drawer organizer from Ikea ($7.99). It’s inexpensive, and the seven divided compartments of varying sizes helped group different swimwear by style. The organizer also takes up only two-thirds of my drawer, leaving a large additional space for more swimwear. Here’s a look at the final outcome:

And here’s how I got there:
A. I first folded lengthwise my three pairs of swim trunks and put them stacked in the open space to the left of the Skubb organizer.
B. I folded and placed my single pair of board shorts in the top left square of the organizer. These are Andrew Christian board shorts, so they’re neither as thick or as long as most board shorts.
C. One pair of square cut trunks resides in section C. (The other two pairs of square cut trunks went to section G.) There’s room in section C for at least 1-2 more pairs.
D. The sections marked D hold swim briefs that would be appropriate to wear at any beach or public pool. I folded and turned each brief so that the back faces the front of the drawer. Folding and storing in this manner provides the largest possible view of each brief’s pattern when later selecting which suit to wear.
E. The small, top right corner of the organizer holds swim thongs. I don’t often wear these, but folding and stacking them so that the pouch faces front makes choosing easier when the right wearing opportunity does arise.
F. I utilized the organizer’s two medium sized sections to store the swim briefs and bikinis that might be too immodest to wear to the neighborhood pool. (These swim briefs typically have a profile pouch or are custom-made swimwear from designers such as Muscle Skins, Beach-N-Dance, or Jovana Design.) As like before, I folded each so that the rear of the suit faced forward, making the pattern more visible and easing a later search for a specific suit.
G. Finally, I folded and placed two of the more modest square cut trunks next to my all-locations-appropriate swim briefs. The square cut trunks in this section lack the profile pouch of the square cut found in section C. (Think “more James Bond” and less “Magic Mike.”)
In total, the Skubb organizer provided an inexpensive solution for organizing and storing over 35 pairs of swimwear of varying styles. All my swimwear had previously been just stuffed randomly in the drawer. I am pleased with results of my attempt at organization, and I hope I can maintain this level of order through the end of next summer.

It’s Jockstrap Wednesday! Do you wear jocks? Well, tell us about it! We will share the results. Stay tuned for our Classic Underwear Poll results this weekend!

One line we think deserves a second look is the Modus Vivendi Floss line. It’s come in the trunk shown and a fun bikini as well. Head over to Modus Vivendi to see the entire collection.
This brief was purchased for review.
Overall Rating: 7.8/10

Cons:
Osgon’s Recommendation: Pass.
Andrew Christian’s Affair brief has several good attributes. Nevertheless, the brief’s execution failed to live up to the promise of its design.
First, the good: The 95% cotton, 5% spandex blend is very comfortable against the skin and breathes all day. The full-back provides complete coverage for the athletic American backside. The colorful waistband stays flat against the hips without rolling or binding. The bikini design – featuring cutout panels and a profile pouch – screams masculine sex appeal.
Next, the bad: The leg bands were tighter than normal. (This has been a problem for some Andrew Christian products after he changed manufacturing plants. Some products, such as the recently reviewed Massive Icon brief, have leg bands that are completely comfortable. The Affair brief’s leg bands were not.) The cutout panels bunched and gaped later in the day rather than remaining flat against the skin. The pouch, while comfortable, also tended to gape open. This means the brief wouldn’t be appropriate for anything except the most sedentary of activities.
In sum, the flaws in design execution mean I cannot recommend this brief. I won’t throw it away, but I won’t be excited to slip it on when it rises to the top of my underwear rotation.
If you’re in the market for Andrew Christian underwear, a better choice is the Flash City brief from AC’s Massive collection. The Massive collection’s products are better made, they feature the same “almost naked” pouch, and the Massive collection’s polyamide-spandex blend fabric combines a luxurious feel with four-way stretch to provide all day (and all activity) comfort.
The Affair brief retails for $18 on Andrew Christian’s website.

Everywhere you look these days, every company, brand and more seem to have their own underwear subscription service. Wait we are pleased to announce…. Not really! We aren’t planning a subscription service. The question is are they worth the money you pay? Will you get pairs that you will actually wear? If you’re paying $20+ a month you want something you will wear on a regular basis. We have a few words of advice when picking an underwear subscription service.
If you love a brand and they have a service it is worth looking into. First, you know the brand and the quality. The designs, prints, and fabrics won’t come in and you go “what the hell is this?” It’s more likely the brand will send you similar to what you already love. Two brands doing subscriptions are MeUndies and Andrew Christian. MeUndies will send you an awesome print each month in the style you love. Thiers is pretty straightforward. The designs/style will not change. If you want to try some different things Andrew Christian can vary the line they send in a brief. You could get an Almost Naked, trophy boy or more. Pouches could have the Show-it Tech or they could be mesh. Andrew Christian has a lot of different things they could send a month.
If you love a style such a brief or jock. Sign up with a retailer doing a subscription. They will bring you a new brand every month. This can be good and bad. It can be good because it can expose you to a lot of brands you may not have worn before. You could find a new favorite. On the flip side, if you hate a brand you may get a pair in the subscription. It’s a gamble you will have to take! Most retailers will try to get the best value for the consumer. Always follow up with a brand if they send you something you love or hate. Feedback is always good.
Some subscriptions make you pick a style and stick with it. Others will send you anything from a boxer brief to a thong. If you want to expand your horizons why not let the luck of the draw dictate what you get. Or, if you love all kinds of undies, this is perfect for you. You will get sent, randomly, whatever pair they have that month in whatever style. It can be like Christmas and not knowing what you’re going to get till you open the package!
The last thing to consider is the cost. They vary in costs. It’s smart to shop around and see who is offering the best deal. The cheapest isn’t the best if you’re paying $5 or more for shipping for each pair. Looking into shipping costs is a must. It will add to your subscriptions overall cost. Next, are you signing up for an ongoing monthly basis that you have to cancel or is it for a set
Next, are you signing up for an ongoing monthly basis that you have to cancel or is it for a set time? Double check before you order to see which you are getting. You may only want to try for 3 months but sign up for a year or more. If it is an ongoing subscription, is it easy to cancel your subscription?
If you want to reward yourself I think an underwear subscription is a great way to do it. Shop around and see what the costs are for each of the ones you are interested in purchasing. Most will have some of their past selections. It should give you an overall view of the service. After you deciede on your service determine how long you want the subscription. And then sit back and enjoy as undies show up at your door everymonth!

C-IN2 has a new line out called Oxide. Oxide is “Inspired by one-of-a-kind patterns found in nature, Oxide brings one more set of prints to C-IN2.” It’s the look of rust screen printed onto a fine rib fabric. It comes in some of the favorite C-IN2 styles. They are the Jock, No Show Profile Brief, Punt, and No Show Army Trunk.
The print is one that I really like. C-IN2 is no stranger to making abstract prints. It’s actually one of their strong suits. The rust inspired prints are really cool. They will be a topic of conversation on a date night or possibly the gym. The colors go pretty well with the theme. blue, orange and green. The print is done in a contrasting color that just makes it POP!
If you are a fan of C-IN2 don’t let these slip away. They will be limited quantity seasonal prints. If you snooze you will lose. Get your favorite color in your favorite style or styles. You can find them on the C-IN2 website or some of your favorite online retailers!

Looking for a new take on an old classic? The SYNCRO from Rufskin is a new take on the Jockstrap. Rufskin says this about the pair: “Neoteric jockstrap featuring an arched back panel crafted using futuristic spacer mesh and a contoured front pouch built from premium stretch tulle”
Remember the days growing up when you would get underwear as a present? If you were like me you would go WTF? I wanted games, toys or something, not underwear? Also, it was never anything good, it was a 3 or six pack of the big box stuff. Now that we want to get underwear as gifts, how many of us get what we want? We are going to explore a few scenarios for underwear giving in the holidays.
If you are lucky enough to have a partner who supports your undies love, congrats. Consider yourself super lucky. So many guys, both gay and straight, have partners who just don’t get the underwear thing. We have readers who told us their partners buy them sexy undies and they love it. Opening the package and seeing some great new undies under the tree. This would be awesome.
This is more geared to the gay guys but If two straight guys loved undies I could see it happening. Unlike the partner, one above this is one I have participated in. Give a good friend, who you know is into undies, as presents. I tend to be open about my undies love and what I like. It’s easy to shop for someone who you talk to about undies. It’s good to set this up ahead of time. Me and my friend used to do this on a monthly basis. It started after a holiday exchange. It’s fun to get some pairs you may not have thought of before.
This is what I usually do. I buy myself presents of undies around big occasions such as birthdays and holidays. There are two things to guarantee. Frist, you will get the correct size. Next, you will get exactly what you want. But this is not as much fun as the ones above. There is something awesome about a person putting in through to what undies they should give you. Either done for romantic reasons or to expose a friend to a new brand, style or etc.
This came to me when I was brainstorming this post. Create smaller groups of guys and do a small gift exchange. I was initially thinking about this for the guys at UNB. We are a small group of guys and would be interesting to see who gives what to who. This could be done online with guys who love undies. The only ground rules would be the undies must be new, with the tags still on. If you participate you must send out a pair. Lastly, be local or in the same country. When you get have to deal with international post and customs it can take forever for a pair to get to you.
These are a few scenarios for a gift exchange for underwear. I’m curious as to you guys thoughts.

Who wishes it was still summer and swim brief weather? I am with you and thought we needed a bright sunny pic for today. This is Bang! Clothes “MR. BANGTASTIC Swim Brief”.& “GALACTIC Swim Mini-Brief.” Both super hot styles. Check out these and all the fun swim Bang! Clothes have to offer.
Do you like super skimpy? Undies that cover what it needs too but still looks sexy? I know we have many guys who think skimpy is better. You love undies that give you great support but don’t get in the way. The new Italian Transparent Tactel Tanga is a pair that is all that above.
BodyAware has been a company that steps outside of the men’s underwear box and make something awesome. The new Tang is made out of an Italian Tactel fabric. BodyAware says this about the fabric: “This latest top quality European fabric supports with less bulk and superior softness. Up-to-the-minute technology combined with high Lycra content provides perfect breathability and freshness.” The fabric is slightly see-through, meaning it will show off the goods but not give it all away. To me making it a perfect date night or Valentine’s Day pair.
This pair is a Tanga. Which to most American’s is an “It’s a what?” A Tanga to me and easiest to describe is more of a string bikini. It has a pouch in front, thin sides and almost a fullback. It gives you more freedom around the sides. This cut is perfect for an active guy at work or one that wants to feel sexy under his suit.
The colors are ones you don’t typically see in men’s underwear. BodyAware is not one afraid to venture into the feminine side of underwear. It’s actually one of their strengths. Colors are Black, Cerise (pinkish), Turquoise, Nude, and Purple. Each of these are more on the pastel side. Which are not colors we typically see in the world of men’s underwear. It really works thought. BodyAware is a company that has challenged what I thought was men’s underwear and made me think of new things.
If you love fun underwear give this a look! I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Love jock briefs? One you need to check out is the ID 2.0 Power Bottom Backless Brief from Curbwear. It’s a lot of fun and will show off your assets.
The Catalan designer Carmen Monforte presents a man who is very sure of himself, with a strong personality, but at the same time very sensitive, always letting himself be guided by an underlying sense of immortality and perpetuity.
Her proposal for this autumn/winter focuses on the presence of dark colors combined with metallic touches which, together with the variety of proportions and textures, make up a very contemporary and spontaneous collection, ideal for a daily look.
To achieve this, the collection plays with a rich variety of fabrics like modal or viscose, which combined with other organic fabrics, give rise to enormously soft and adaptable garments, almost creating a second skin.

Imported from Berlin and exclusively available at Jockstrap Central in North America, sports fetish brand 4 Hunks is here. Today we launched both a hot new jockstrap and even hotter wrestling singlet made of see-through mesh with an open back design. Here’s more details about the 4 Hunks Thunder Jockstrap and 4 Hunks Catcher Lad Open Back Mesh Wrestling Singlet:
4 Hunks Thunder Jockstrap:
Totally unique and designed to enhance both your front and back. From the front, the Thunder Jock looks like a sexy low-rise brief, made with a clever double walled pouch. The inner layer is red or yellow and the outer layer a perforated mesh in black, the contrasting effect is stunning with the inner color shining through the mesh holes emphasizing that bulge of yours. The fabric is incredibly soft with just the right amount of stretch so the fit is impeccable. Sturdy half inch wide black piping is masculine, providing superior extra support. With the 4H logo on the left side.
The front pouch continues around back, narrowing as it goes to become the “waistband”. While not traditional, the natural stretch of the fabric does its job and in many ways, is much more comfortable than a conventional elastic band. But that’s not all, need a butt lifting experience? The extra wide straps will do the trick. Made with a strip of the inner pouch material and reinforced with black piping on each side.
Catcher Lad Open Back Mesh Wrestling Singlet
The Catcher Lad Wrestling Singlet is the epitome of what sports fetish is all about: reinventing and elevating what is already by nature the object of sports fantasies. While traditional singlets are tight and subtly revealing, there’s nothing subtle about this one; with its exposed chest, dangerously low waistline, see through contoured pouch and completely exposed rear, they’ll be lining up to wrestle you and pin you to the ground just to cop a feel.
Made totally of a see-through mesh with paneled ergonomic pouch to naturally contain your bulge, with a stretch that clings to your junk showing it off to perfection. From the front, it looks like a pair of low-rise mesh shorts with matching upper shoulder restraints, exposing as much of your front as possible. From the back, a unique split panel design exposes your ass, and as if that alone doesn’t draw enough attention, white piping edge the opening to help with target practice (for your tongue perhaps?) A narrow band travels up your back to meet the shoulder panel also edged with white piping and includes a second smaller 4H logo.
Finally, the icing on the cake is an included matching arm band with the make-a-statement 4 Hunks Berlin logo.
————————-
The jockstrap comes in either yellow and black or red and black and the singlet comes in black and red (the most revealing), blue and white or white and blue. Head on over to Jockstrap Central to see our new model Matthew Eldracher (more on him below) in all the new 4 Hunks Gear.
Wondering who that new guy is in all the new 4 Hunks gear? Well, wonder no longer. He’s our latest discovery and his name is Matthew Eldracher. We’ve been trying to get him him to model for months, but finally the stars aligned. Good things come to those who wait, right?
Matthew is a jack of all trades, by profession, he’s a dancer and actor but we met him during his moonlighting job working as a performer (and when I say performer, I really mean stripper) at Flash Nightclub here in Toronto. It’s the bar we host our Thursday Jock Nights each week.
There are a LOT of awesome dancers at Flash, but Matthew stands out, not only because he’s sexy, dirty, flirty and hot, but he often climbs up the pole, hangs from the rafters and manages to strip out of his pants while hanging. Seriously, if you’re in Toronto, you HAVE to see this guy dance.
Beyond his unreal talent, his good looks, naturally hairy body and perfect dick and balls (you’ll be seeing that soon) he’s also one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and a dream to work with. Guaranteed, this is just the first in many more photo shoots coming up.

As most of you know, I am a huge proponent of wearing thongs, both as underwear and swimwear. I wear thong swimwear almost exclusively, in both private and public settings. I have gained a bit of experience over the years, which I feel is sage advice for any of you contemplating wearing a thong style suit to the local beach or pool. I will focus on a few key elements you should keep in mind as you plan your first public thong outing! You will need to plan on a number of things including knowing the laws, proper grooming, judging your audience, and practicing proper beach etiquette.
KNOW THE LAWS! I cannot stress this enough-whether that means looking for signage around the beach or pool, researching case law, browsing Internet forums, or calling/writing the local jurisdiction you plan to visit to ensure you can legally wear the particular suit you wish to wear. Some areas have no laws restricting what you can wear as swimwear, provided that all of the essentials are covered. Other places (or so I’ve heard) actually specify that the smallest part of a suit must be a certain minimal width. Some places even go as far as to outlaw thongs entirely. No matter which route you take, please ensure you don’t break any laws or offend anyone else. The laws are created for a couple of reasons. First, local jurisdictions may impose laws that their citizens vote on, to uphold a certain standard of conduct that they want to form a community around. Next, just as some of us may want to visit a thong friendly beach or pool, others may absolutely not want to see that view when they sunbathe. Local laws can provide each group with a designated area they are free to do as they please without fear of repercussion.
As you prepare to step out into the public wearing a thong (possibly for the first time), take a moment to look in the mirror or ask your spouse or a friend to take a view of you. Make sure of a few things before you share that same view with the public. Ask yourself (or a friend) a few questions: Does this suit fit me? Is it too small or large? Does anything hang out of it that wasn’t intended? Can you see through it? Do I need to groom myself before going out into public? If the answers satisfy you, then go ahead. If not, you may need to revisit your grooming routine to make sure everything is tidied up first. A thong (in my opinion) will look best if you do some proper manscaping or outright shaving so that it is the focus of attention and not any unsightly body hair! I’ll let you make your own decisions concerning that, but at least you know my opinion now!
Please consider the location before making the decision to strip down to a thong. Just because it is legal to wear a thong in your city and they have provided a water fountain with benches around doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best idea to strip down for your suntan there. Please take others activities into consideration-if you visit a park that is completely occupied by families with kids playing and you are the only person that will be in a swimsuit, you may want to rethink your idea. I don’t at all want to discourage anybody from wearing a thong, but understand that we have to help build a positive ideal for guys who wear thongs. Don’t be the creepy guy that gets on a playground swing (wearing next to nothing) next to a three-year-old and their mom! As long as you are in a setting appropriate to wear swimwear, other people are (or have previously) wearing swimwear, then you should be fine. Be a trendsetter-don’t wait for somebody else to show up in a thong. If you do you will likely never wear one! Wear your thong with confidence and be positive about it-you aren’t required to cover up every time someone walks by. I have worn a thong in many places thongs aren’t the norm and places where I have seen dozens of thongs in a single day. Do what makes you happy!
Learn proper beach etiquette! Whether at the beach or pool, know that first and foremost safety is the number one concern. Don’t set up your chair right in front of the lifeguard stand, or so far away that they can’t see you, especially if you plan on getting into the water. After you have planned that out remember that you aren’t the only person on the beach. The people who got there earlier than you earned the right to that view of the ocean or pool-don’t set up right in front of them! Also, keep in mind everyone goes to the beach or pool for their own reasons. Just because you are a social person and love talking doesn’t mean that everyone does. Learn to read social cues and body language. If you must approach someone to speak, pay attention and leave if you think they aren’t pleased with your presence. The last thing we all need is somebody calling the police because “some guy in a thong” kept talking to them or wouldn’t leave them alone. Plan on admiring the scenery from a distance. Avoid approaching other people because you want to see what they are wearing (or lack of) or that you want to show off your new suit. Most locales that don’t prohibit thongs could quickly revisit their policy if they find people are practicing exhibitionistic or voyeuristic behaviors in a public setting! Be friendly to people if approached, and make sure you clean up after yourself. When you visit the beach or pool, take a bag or container for your trash, and always make it a point to look around for trash others may have missed as well.
So now that fall is setting in in most parts of the country, you have several months to plan your perfect new beach day. Pick out a hot new thong, research an area convenient to where you live, and maybe even plan on convincing a friend to come along and get out there and enjoy the sunshine. If you have any questions about where may or may not be an appropriate place to try out that new swim thong, drop me a line in the comments and I’ll try to provide you with some resources to form your own opinion. I’m definitely not an attorney, but I’ll do anything I can do to point you in the general direction. In the end, do what makes you happy (within the realm of the law), forget what others think or say, and enjoy the freedom of wearing that new thong bikini. If you’re like me, you’ll never go back! Drop me a line in the comments below with your experience!
Underwear available at www.cheapundies.com

Two years ago we brought you this shoot from Armando Adajar. It features model Jeff and Ergowear underwear. Make sure you go back and check out this post.
Again, it’s Jockstrap Wednesday! The day we don our jocks and wear them proudly. That may be a bit overboard but it’s a day to celebrate jocks. Jocks to me are in three camps. They are either athletic, fashion or fetish. The jock we chose today is firmly in the Fashion camp, but the design, I bet it could be used in sports/working out. The jock is the Timoteo Shockwave Jock.
The jock is a very classic design. A 1 1/2 inch waistband, Branded with Timoteo, which I have mentioned before, that Timoteo makes some of the best waistbands on the market. The pouch is definitely fashion with a design that accents your pouch and bulge. Not to mention the mesh panel on the pouch. Like I said it could be used to work out or do sports in. The back features 1-inch leg straps. Just like a traditional jock.
This is what Timoteo says about the jock:
The Shockwave Jockstrap is made in the latest performance mesh fabrication with great stretch & recovery, quick dry and wicking properties. Designed to sit low on the hips, very sporty with a ventilating mesh on the pouch, plus a soft and sturdy elastic waistband, our jockstrap is the ideal combination of style, comfort and function.
The jock comes in three colors. The colors are red, green or blue. Each pouch has a contrasting color with white trim. This really sets off the pair nicely. It’s not only sexy but functional! Which is the best thing to have in underwear! The fabric is a blend of 90% Polyamide 10% ElastaneThis pair retails for $24.00 and designed by Timoteo in LA.
We recommend this pair for Jockstrap Wednesday or any day
We are fast approaching cold weather. Some of us are lucky to live in the south where it doesn’t get cold as much as it does up north. We don’t have too much a need for Long Johns. If you live in NYC, Chicago, Minneapolis or anywhere near, keeping warm is top of mind. Gone are the days when long johns are made of the waffle fabric. Now we have amazing fabric and prints!
The Massive City legging is just what you need to bring some color in your winter blues. The limited edition print is bright and fun. It’s definitely not the boring white of yesterday. Mix that with the Massive AC waistband and this isn’t your father’s long johns. Made out of a 90% POLYAMIDE 10% SPANDEX blend. This will keep you warm and feel great against your skin!
The pair also has a great pouch. They claim you will not be able to tell you are wearing underwear. Andrew Christian has made some of the best and amazing pouches on the market. So, pouches are not one area you can take off points on the design.
This is what AC says about the pair:
You are fun. And MASSIVE. And our brand new MASSIVE Flash City Leggings are perfect for you. In limited edition bright print fabric, each pair features our Signature Slimming MASSIVE Waistband and dark sleek contrast detailing. In a sexy slim fit, this pair will hug you in all the right places. When you pull them on, your package will fall naturally into the super soft anatomically correct snuggle pocket to create a truly enjoyable unique wearing experience.
If you are looking for something fun and awesome this winter. Check out the Massive Flash City Legging.
