Ergowear is out with a new collection, called XV, in celebration of its 15 year anniversary! XV is stated as “the most sophisticated version of our exclusive Feel and best-selling Max pouch underwear styles,” and boy does it look it. It really is more than a regular collection. I’d call this collection super-sized, as some pairs have multiple pouch options!

The line is available in the usual range of Ergowear styles: Midcut(Boxer-Brief), Boxer(More like a trunk), Brief, Bikini, and Thong. The Midcut and Boxer are available in both the Feel and Max style pouches. The Max is more of a traditional “push up and out” style ergonomic pouch, while the Feel I less traditional but very popular. The Brief is only available with a Feel pouch, while the Bikini and Thong are only available with the Max instead. All the pairs utilize the same nylon/spandex material, with a 1’5 inch waistband that displays your brand allegiance without being overtly flashy.

These pairs are classy, coming in three colors: White, Navy, and Space Grey, with a contrasting Black or Gold waistband on the White pairs. The Navy and Space Grey changes things up with a same colored waistband.

I think the real key to this line is the mono-colored pairs. The Navy and Space Grey pairs have a great sophisticated look at them in my eyes. I’m hoping to get my hands on some pairs from this line this year, most likely those bearing the Max pouch, as I already own a Max trunk, bikini, and thong, and adore them. So which pair tickles your fancy?Which color is your absolute must have? Let us know in the comments below, email us at info@underwearnewsbriefs.com, or message me on twitter @underweardude. I hope you liked this look into the newest line of one of my favorite brands. Happy birthday, Ergowear, here’s to another 15 years of awesome underwear!

aussieBum catch up Bananas, Sharks, Retro

I’ve gotten a little behind and keeping you caught up on aussieBum new releases. Today, I’m going to catch you up on some new lines and new colors and patterns in existing lines. Let’s take a look at new patterns and colors first.

New colors have been added to their Seamless Tech 2.4 line, which is available in a brief or hipster. The new colors are ice, royal, and red. All waistbands match the fabric color and have the aussieBum name on them.

New Seamless Tech Colors

PAIR: Seamless Tech 2.4
NEW COLORS: Ice, Royal, Red
FABRIC: 87% Nylon, 10% Elastane, 3% Polyester
SIZES: S – XL
COST: Brief – $13.25; Hipster – $16.50

Next up are some patterns added to the Billy line. The one that I’ve been seeing talk about is the banana print. It’s available in black or blue. It features partial peeled and unpeeled bananas in of course yellow. The other print they added to the line is a shark print. Maybe better defined as Jaws, since it looks like a great white. The print is black on white with repetitions of the shark’s mouth open. Billy is also available in a brief or a hipster.

Billy Brief Banana Shark

PAIR: Billy
NEW COLORS: Banana Black, Banana Blue, Sharks
FABRIC: 90% Cotton, 10% Elastane
SIZES: XS – XXL
COST: Brief – $14.25; Hipster – $15.25

Let’s move into the new underwear line now. aussieBum has released the Punchline, which contains a brief in four color options: Red, Royal, Black, White, The name punch I would say comes from the back and side fabric. It has what looks like an eye-shaped punch throughout it. I suppose you could categorize it as mesh, but fairly large openings instead of a typical tighter mesh. Pretty much you’ll be showing off the rear in these. The pouch is a completely solid piece of fabric. All colors have a thick black elastic waistband with the aussieBum name on it. These are made out of a blend of Polyamide and Elastane. They recommend hand washing and hanging to dry. Here’s how aussieBum describes this brief.

“The PUNCH brief is designed for the man who likes to live by his rules and stand out from the crowd. These high spec undies feature a smooth elastane pouch and a comfortable mesh back that will keep you cool during the day and hot at night! The branded waistband reflects the attitude, confidence and front of those who dare to wear it. The new PUNCH is ready to bring out the rebel in you, go for it.”

aussieBum NEW swimwear MIAMI from aussieBum on Vimeo.

Lastly, we’ll take a look of a new swimsuit from them. They call it the Miami line. They remind me a bit of a runner short crossed with a skimpy square cut swimsuit. These are a low rise pair and are available in 4 colors: Collins, Lincoln, Ocean, and Downtown. The suits have a main color with a splice of color on the sides. Collins is a black suit with a splice of white on the sides. Lincoln is navy with orange. Then there is Ocean which is a light or sky blue with white splices. Last up is Downtown, which is red with navy side splices. The suits have a drawstring to help keep them up. The colors of Collins and Lincoln have a black string, while Ocean and Downtown have a white one. aussieBum describes the Miami line as a bold vintage styling inspired by the iconic South Beach. The suit is proudly made in Australia of a blend of 80% nylon and 20% elastane. These can be machine washed but should be line dried.

Hey there, fellow thong lovers! For today’s Thong Thursday post, I’m gonna talk about some new thongs that I’d love to get my hands on in the new future.  Note that I, nor UNB, have been paid to make these statements nor list these pairs. These are simply pairs that have piqued my interest for one reason or another.

Let’s start off with the oldest pair, the Pistol Pete vintage thong. I’ve always felt that the perfect pair of underwear combines form AND function. To me, that means stylish, and possibly with a fly. So with a stylish thong, and a fly? That gets me interested right there! I love the idea of a thong with a usable fly but have yet to see one that has a great fly. Perhaps this will be the one.

Next is a new thong from Portland-based  Jack Adams. More known for their briefs and trunks, I’m a fan of their Sprinter line of thongs. The Lux Thong combines the styling of their Lux line with a pretty classic(aka on the wider side) thong back. The color choices are also interesting, with the orange option being a nice choice for the fall months. It’s also almost the exact shade of orange as some college football teams use..anyways back to thongs!

The last pair I’m going to mention today is the British brand Sukrew, their new bubble thong.  While I wasn’t crazy about the Sukrew pouch like many others when I tried them, the g-string-esuqe styling of this new line hits with me, especially the small pop of color that shows at the center rear on the multi-colored pairs. Sukrew also states that the Bubble Thong’s pouch holds you in a more traditional form than it’s original pouch, though as always with Sukrew products, you can purchase the pair sans-pouch.

So which thongs are you dying to get your hands on? Which pairs do you want us to review? Have any suggestions on how we should celebrate #ThongThursday? Let us know in the comments below, send us an email, or let us know on twitter!

I take a mostly utilitarian approach to underwear organization.  My collection consists of more than 175 pairs of everything from the smallest of “anatomical pouches” to traditional boxer shorts.  Such a large stock requires using multiple drawers within the chest of drawers, with certain drawers dedicated to specific styles of underwear.  I also rotate what I wear within each style so that everything wears (almost) evenly.

For my “show me your drawers” submission, I chose one drawer dedicated to briefs and bikinis and a second drawer dedicated to multiple styles.  (Two additional drawers hold the trunks, boxers, undershirts, boot socks, and still more briefs.)

To organize briefs and bikinis, I place them flat in four separate stacks within the drawer.  Underwear most recently washed appear on the far right; underwear to be worn next reside front-and-center.  As the front stack is depleted, replacements are rotated forward in a counterclockwise fashion. (Pictured are favorites from Andrew Christian, Nasty Pig, Buffed Bod and N2N Bodywear.)

A Skubb drawer organizer from Ikea  ($7.99) helps corral socks, g-strings and K’Mando pouches in another drawer.  These too are roatated, but certain pairs nonetheless get more wear than others.  (Pictured across the top are g-strings from Andrew Christian, Hotline and Gigo, as well as pouches by K’Mando Sport.)  The Skubb organizer leaves about five additional inches inside the drawer, providing space for thongs (not pictured).

Avid readers who remember the Fort Troff Sport Trunk review may wonder about athletic gear – compression shorts, running tights, jock straps and swim briefs – that are undoubtedly part of the collection.  Well, that’s another story altogether . . . .

HOM Freddy String Thong

Rating: 8.6/10

Daily Fit: 8/10
Sizing: 8/10
Construction: 10/10
Styling: 9/10
Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: Overall a pretty comfortable thong, well made
Cons: Haven’t come across US retailer, so international shipping, limited colors
Recommendation: If it is one that interests you, give it a try. I like Doreanse Euro thong better since the pouch is narrower (Not as roomy as Freddy if you need room though). Plus it is available from a US retailer and even a little cheaper.

The Freddy Thong from HOM has been around for a long time. I’ve been thinking about trying it for years. Thanks to UNBTim, I finally got my chance. I have a few swim bikini briefs from them and a swim thong. All of which I like the fit and style of. The Freddy string is my first pair of HOM underwear. I like to describe this type of a thong as a cross between a g-string and a traditional thong. Also it kind of fits into the v-string category, but without the matching side width to the tail width. Any how it has a 3/16” string that attaches the pouch to the back. You get the traditional thong look in the back when wearing them, but the g-string type tail between the cheeks.

Overall it is a nice thong. I’ve found sometimes I have to get these adjusted right. Once I do they typically stay pretty comfortable to wear and would be a nice everyday thong. I don’t see it being a good one to wear for athletics or something really active. It has the excellent everyday nonworkout time support. I wore it lounging and doing errands and performed well with those activities. The pouch has a center-seamed, so has some contouring. The fabric has stretch and is what I’m going to call full frontal coverage. It should hold most packages within it. The fabric is a blend of 93% cotton and 7% elastance, which I’ve seen different fabric content listed for these. My tag has the stated blend. The sides of these are about one ¼” wide. I find it to be a pretty good fit all the way around in a medium. The size chart says 34-inch waist for medium and 32 inch for a small. I float around 32 and 33, so I say pay attention to the size chart. I’ve seen some recommendations of ordering up a size on them.

The colors selection is very limited that I’ve come across in these. For how long they’ve been around I would think there would be more color options. It seems your choice is red, blue, black, and white. I haven’t come across a US retailer selling the brand HOM, so there is International shipping to get a pair. If you are interested in this style, you may want to check out Doreanse Euro thong. It’s a pretty similar cut, and there are US retailers selling it. Main differences are it is a micro modal fabric, and the pouch isn’t as roomy as the Freddy. Both are good options in this particular style.

I purchased the Joe Snyder Bulge Boxer, which isn’t in line with my normal choice of thong underwear, but I really liked the all day comfort that these offer.

Rating: 8.4/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 8/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Super stretchy-soft nylon fabric that stays close to your skin and is very breathable
  • Roomy unlined pouch accentuates your package while keeping you cool
  • Comfortable for all-day wear

Cons:

  • Limited availability in prints
  • Unlined (if that’s even a con?)

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: I love thong underwear, and until recently I have worn them almost exclusively for the past 15 years or so.  However starting to review underwear over the past few months has given me the opportunity (and encouragement) to try different styles and fabrics.  I have this same suit in the wet look black fabric, and the red fabric feels like a completely different suit due to the difference in fabric.  These are really stretchy, and feel great for all-day wear, whether you’re lounging around the house or following the wife around a shopping mall!

As an underwear reviewer, I shouldn’t be biased to a particular brand, but I LOVE Joe Snyder! They offer styles to appeal to both men and women, which can be used as underwear and swimwear, and they offer cuts from modest to daring.  I love the multitude of fabrics and color choices that Joe Snyder offers, and like that all of their suits accentuate the cheeks.  While I do normally love to wear thongs, I have been branching out recently and have found many trunks and boxer styles offer a cheeky feel reminiscent of a thong or tanga style.  This suit was not entirely out of my comfort zone-I plan to try some brief and jock styles in the future!

I have only worn this pair one day, which was a good test because my wife and I were due to go see a movie and do some shopping afterward.  While watching the movie the pair was very comfortable, and I could hardly even notice them.  They have an almost natural fit that hugs your skin without being overly constrictive.  The pouch holds your package up and is supportive, and is unlined so it keeps you cool all day.  While walking around the mall with my wife these performed the same in that they were hardly even noticeable.  The bulge pouch does add some to your confidence, and depending on how snug your pants are, can even be noticed through a pair of jeans!

This suit was everything I have come to expect from Joe Snyder.  The construction is top-notch, with attention to detail.  All of the elastic is positioned to allow for maximum comfort and doesn’t dig or cut into your skin anywhere.  Also, the leg openings do not have any elastic, so they just follow the contour of your body and are extremely comfortable for long-term wear.  The only thing I don’t care for is the large tag that is present in all of their suits, but it is very easily remedied with a pair of scissors!

Joe Snyder’s line has always had a very consistent fit for me, even between different lines and cuts.  This pair is no exception; in fact, they may even feel a little better than some of the others I have in my collection.  I have this exact same pair in a black “wet look” fabric, and they don’t have near the elasticity that the red fabric has.  These feel great, don’t pull or ride up throughout the day and have just the right amount of give for all-day comfort and support.  This pair has a generously sized pouch that fits your anatomy, and has plenty of room to stretch throughout the day to allow for movement and support.

In conclusion, I was overly satisfied with this review, and will likely continue to wear them.  The quality is nothing short of what Joe Snyder is famous for, and I will continue to support them!  If I had to ask Joe Snyder to change anything about this pair, I would encourage them to design a smaller care tag.  If you like cheeky styles, give these a try, you won’t be disappointed

Addicted is not a company that does subtle sexual innuendo. Thier campaigns fully embrace sexuality and show it off. The new line is no different. It’s called LUST. Which is appropriate for the brand. Here is just a peek of the collection. Ths is what Addicted has to say about the line: Named Lust for its high sensual and sexual content, its freshness, sassy and jovial character represent the essence of a complete collection, with very fun prints.

This brief was purchased for review.

Rating10/10

  • Daily Fit: 10/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros:

  • 4-way stretch fabric (90% polyamide, 10% spandex) provides all-day comfort
  • Pouch enhances your profile better & is more comfortable than AC’s “Show It” collection
  • Fabric’s unusual pattern makes this brief a must-have winner
  • AC has fixed previous problems with too-tight leg bands.

Cons:

  • It’s sold out on AC’s website, but some brick and mortar stores still have them.

Osgon’s Recommendation:  A Strong Buy!

As some readers know, Andrew Christian not long ago shifted manufacturing from Taiwan to China.  This resulted in sizing problems.  More specifically, leg bands from products made in China were much tighter than those coming from Taiwan-based plants.  Garments made in China also appeared to have slightly smaller pouches.  Testing of this brief (manufactured in China) suggests AC has corrected those sizing issues.

To make sure past manufacturing problems had been ameliorated, I tested this brief by washing, line-drying, wearing, washing, line-drying and wearing again on two different days.  Both days involved 16+ hours of wearing the garment.  The leg bands held true to size during the second wearing and weren’t overly restrictive.  The overall fit of the brief was perfect (including the pouch) and the colorful print did not bleed or noticeably fade after being washed twice.

As is true with most AC “almost naked” pouch products, this tagless undergarment was very comfortable.  The fabric contains a very comfortable blend of 90% polyamide and 10% spandex.  The fabric’s blue body has a ½” repeating ghost character.  The 1¼” black waistband perfectly centers the Andrew Christian moniker up front and repeats it around back.

Andrew Christian’s website has sold out of its stock in all sizes.  This brief is still available at some brick-and-mortar outlets such as Tapelenders in Dallas.  An internet search reveals a few online stores haven’t yet emptied their stocks.

Because this brief was so comfortable – and because AC appears to have fixed the sizing problems for its made-in-China items – I recently ordered a few similar AC products from its website.  Stayed tuned to UNB for updates

Growing up I’ve always had a passion for cute and fun underwear. It wasn’t until I was about 17 that I realized there were much more options aside from Hanes briefs and boxers. The excitement I felt when I purchased my first pack of thongs is a feeling I will never forget. It was a brand Target used to carry called BVD. They were very comfortable and the fit was amazing. From that moment on I was hooked on wearing thongs and other sexy underwear.

Moving forward a few years I began to notice the cute patterns and fabrics that women’s underwear were made of. I wondered why I could never find men’s underwear in mesh or lace unless I went to an adult store and even then the choices were unflattering at best. It wasn’t until I met my fiance who also shared a love for underwear almost as much as I did. We would always talk about cute underwear and how women’s underwear and lingerie were always so much sexier than what was out available for men. On my birthday he surprised me with my first pair of panties and they were so sexy that I tried them on instantly. I not only felt so cute but also very sexy in a taboo sort of way. A feeling much different than I would get when I would wear men’s underwear.
For years I have always mixed masculine underwear with feminine lingerie and panties in the privacy of our home. It wasn’t until recently with the support of my fiance that I wanted to share this love of mixing the two with the rest of the world by creating my Instagram account. I was very nervous about putting myself out there like that as I didn’t know the reactions I would get. I was terrified that the feedback would be so negative it would make me want to rethink my love of underwear and lingerie.
I checked my phone constantly to see what reactions I would get and to my surprise the feedback was positive and people loved it.
To be able to mix fabrics such as lace, mesh, lingerie with everyday clothes makes me not only feel better about myself but it empowers me to want to continue to do what I love and be able to share that with others as others have shared that with me. I try to be unique by mixing my everyday geekiness into my photos to give a little insight into my everyday life. To put it plainly, I am just your average Joe. I love video games, movies, comics, working out, and above all else underwear. Whether it be men’s thongs, jocks or women’s panties, and lingerie.
I personally don’t believe that underwear should be confined to either sex but rather be embraced and accepted by both men and women. I personally love seeing other men in panties, lingerie, thongs, and jockstraps. I merely appreciate the male body in all its beauty but something about seeing a body in some sexy underwear just adds that much more to the beauty of it all.
I hope that anyone who follows my Instagram who is curious about trying something new and different should not feel ashamed or embarrassed but rather feel powerful and sexy. If we are confined to societies gender constraints about what masculine and feminine should be rather than what we can make of it than we are not living up to our full potential.
If I can inspire just one person to be able to embrace both their masculinity and femininity than I feel I have done my part.
Sincerely
Undiesgeek85

Hey everyone, and welcome to another edition of Show us your Drawers, where we take a look at a UNB writer or reader’s underwear drawer. Today we have our first reader submission, from Steve. Here is what he has to say:

“Here’s my drawer. I’m up to 43 pairs organized by category of course. Jocks are on the left, then g-strings, thongs, bikinis toward the middle, briefs and finally trunks on the far right. As you can see, I try and mix it up with a variety of colors and patterns.

There are 15 different brands represented, with the top three being Gregg Homme, C-IN2 and JM. My current favorite pair is definitely the teal Grip thong from Gregg Homme. It’s got a really sexy strappy cut-out on one half and detachable buckles.
Love the blog, keep up the great work!”
Thanks so much Steve! Want to be like Steve and show off your collection? Send an email to info@underwearnewsbriefs.com with  Drawer in the subject line, along with a picture of your underwear drawer and a paragraph or two about your underwear collection and/or storage system. We look forward to seeing your drawer!

Joe Snyder is a favorite of many of our readers. It’s probably one of the most often mentioned by thong lovers. They have developed a secret formula for making the perfect thong. The perfect thong is something many of you are after as well. Most thong lovers on the site prefer the smaller ones. I think the skimpier the better. Today’s Thong Thursday, is made for you.

The new Sock It line emphasizes the pouch. This isn’t a bad thing in a thong. I have seen several readers of UNB posting pics of them in this thong. It’s super sexy in all the pics posted. Joe Snyder site says this thong is made with an enhancing pouch. One that is made to make your package look bigger. This is definitely true. The design of the pouch is to boost what you have and make it eye-catching! The site says it makes you more confident. We think all underwear you love gives you this, and this pair is not an exception to that rule.

The waistband is pretty minimal. I honestly don’t know the difference between this pair and the g-string. They look almost identical. If we are playing “What style is this?” I would go with a g-string from the look of the front. In the back, unlike a g-string, it does have fabric rather than a simple string. The material is a nylon lycra, similar to the other fabrics in the Joe Snyder line up.

The description also says you can wear it to the gym. I don’t know about you but Its not a pair I would wear to the gym. Not because it won’t pass our “Gym Factor”, rather it will show off too much when I am working out. That’s just my opinion and you can be the judge for yourself at your own gym.

This is a pair I want to try. I LOVE the Pride Frame line and this line seems super fun. Make sure you check it out in the brief and g-string as well.

Today I thought I would profile something different. A pair of boxer briefs! It’s not every day we do that. I know most of our readers tend to go for smaller styles. However, N2N Bodywear makes some of the best boxer briefs on the market. This is the Mojave Spring boxer. Available in 3 colors that pop! Also, they know how to make a pouch work well in Boxer briefs. Retails for $23.00 on the N2N Site.
