Marek+Richard is one of those companies you can tell really enjoys and has a lot of fun designing underwear. Their designs are very eye catching and not afraid to step outside of the box. This collection was inspired by something you wouldn’t think would make for great underwear. The inspiration is Junk Food. Yes that’s right the stuff we love to eat now is the inspiration for an underwear line. So the new line is called “Junk Collection”
I have heard of a lot of inspirations for underwear but this one is prob one of the most creative. If you aren’t familiar with M+R they are out of Dallas, Texas. Founded by in May 2011 by Neil Marek and Robbie Richard (two boys who met while pursuing fashion degrees at The University of North Texas). In fact, all their stuff is made in the USA.
“YUM! Do fries come with that? Inspired by drive-thru junkies and pizza-faced punks, Junk is a calorie loaded collection that features bold mesh details in a variety of your favorite colors. From cropped tees and calf-sweats to briefs and trunks, Junk offers you a wide range of menu options. So have it your way and remember Marek+Richard doesn’t make it ‘til you order it.”
The there are two things I like about the collection. First, the activewear has an 80’s feel. It’s pretty cool to have the bright colors and almost neon color blocks. M+R has a way of making retro work very well. Second is the jock. Jocks are becoming one of the must have’s for any guy to have in their collection. The use of mesh and also waistband really make it work well!
If you’re interested in finding out more, go to the Marek+Richard site and check out the entire collection.
The pair I am reviewing is a pair of black MyPakage Weekend Boxer Brief. I had never heard of this brand so I was really curious. On the front of the package it mentions keyhole comfort technology, which looked really interesting from description and the picture. When I pulled them from the packaging they were so soft. I don’t remember the last pair of underwear I got that was this soft.
I wore this pair twice. The first day I wore them when I went to work. I was curious how the “keyhole comfort technology” would feel. It is some elastic that your bits fit inside. I must say I wasn’t that impressed since I didn’t do these justice in the pouch region. This pair is very soft to wear, but I noticed I was having to pull my pants up constantly because they were sliding on the underwear. I wore them to work and the constant readjusting was troublesome. They were comfortable but not the best for work.
The second day I wore them on the weekend when I was just going to be lounging. They were extremely comfortable and seemed to perform better when I wasn’t as active. Though once again I wasn’t filling the pouch area and so the keyhole comfort technology didn’t do much for me.
This pair is a size small that covers a 28 to 30 inch waist. I am a 28 to 29 inch waist and have a bubble butt so normally have no issue. The waist of the pair fit me perfectly, it stayed in place and looked good. The rest of the boxer brief seemed loose on me, even on the butt. Normally my butt stretches all pairs but this pair had some extra room on the butt. These felt more boxer like to me than boxer brief. This pair is made of 95% modal and 5% spandex which makes them so soft. I love how that material felt against my skin.
Pros:
- Super comfortable material
- Waistband stayed in place
Cons:
- Pouch was too roomy for me
- Fit more like boxers
- Caused my pants to slide down some

I LOVE that men’s underwear makers have started using crowd funding sites to get their lines out! Its a great way to let the consumers vote with their money. The latest to enter this market is ZPHELA. If you haven’t heard of them they are, as they say: “a brand is focused on Men’s underwear and lounge wear. A brand that is bold, sexy, tasteful, and tempting yet refreshingly classy. The sexiness of our products is not intended to attract raw carnality, it is rather refined into sensuality to arouse and excite the senses. Zphela intends to push boundaries, make bold statements, while creating long lasting aesthetic of men’s underwear and loungewear that extends beyond the status quo, translating into bold irresistible statements . ”
They are a new brand but the new Dark Horse collection looks pretty cool. I suggest you guys go check out out and be a part of starting a new company! Here is the write up of the campaign:
To get to the final phase of our launch, Zphela is looking for assistance with further funding needs. To make this possible we have designed and developed a Limited Edition Collection, with over 100 design combinations. The full collection will only be available to 100 individuals.
Zphela strives to provide customers the best quality experience; a top of the line Nylon/ Spandex fabric will be utilized to ensure this lounge collection remains soft, airy, durable, functional, and comfortable for long periods of time in various situations at home or where comfort truly matters.
Considering the unknown potential the public expects from Zphela, “The Dark Horse” became a fitting name for our first lounge collection. The mysterious vibe and complete construction will vary depending on the backers preference, giving them the possibilities of creating something no one else will have.

Croota has been releasing quite a few new ranges this year. I think they are really coming into their own. Its great to see a company develop it style over the years and start releasing great line after line and keep growing. The first time we worked with Croota was back in 2009 or 2010. They were just brand new and getting exposure.
The one thing I love hearing about in the men’s underwear market is inspiration. It’s really cool to hear that they got inspired by the dessert. Designers get inspired from the least likely things at times. When you think underwear would you ever think underwear? I know I wouldn’t. But they did and made some amazing underwear.
Here is the press release and info about the brand.
Croota underwear (www.croota.com) has just released two final underwear ranges for the first half of 2014 before it gets ready to release its brand new line of t-shirts. The “Oasis” and “Great Sandy Desert” ranges bring a new cut to men’s trunks! Light and form-fitting, these ‘second skin’ ranges of underwear are made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane.
“Great Sandy Desert” was inspired by the Australian Outback’s great desert landscape. The range features a unique feel and two very distinctive gradient colors called Day Time (Red) and Night Time (Blue). The material is so light it’s as if you’re naked!
The “Oasis” range was inspired by the cool and refreshing feel of an oasis in the middle of the hot, dry Australian desert. This range combines the Croota logo with tribal designs that come in two color variations: Salmon Pink and Bijou Blue. (Pic above)
Both ranges of underwear offer a stretchable fit and are available in two size options (S-M and L-XL). They retail for $22.90 – $22.95.

My first review for UNB is a pair of Sly Collective Torn Denim boxer briefs. When I received them in the mail I was excited. When I took them out of the package I was beyond excited. The print is awesome. They really look like a pair of work jeans. You know the pair: your favorite jeans that are worn and torn and perfectly broke in, rips and all.
The material is a cotton/ elastane blend. The waist band is snug but not too binding. The logo is flashy and fun too. Before I tried them on the first time I laundered them. I washed them in cold and dried them on the cool setting. The color and shape didn’t change.
I wore them to work to give them a real test. I do a lot of walking and climbing of stairs. These boxer briefs didn’t ride up or pinch in the crotch. I often find that the legs of boxer briefs ride up as the day goes on but the Sly boxer briefs didn’t move. I also do a lot of lifting and bending at work and they never were uncomfortable. During the day I kept thinking of the awesomely fun underwear I had under my actual favorite comfy jeans. They are fun and sexy at the same time.
One fun little feature of these underwear is a small pocket on the right leg. It’s the ideal size for a pocket watch, or, a condom perhaps. The little pocket was just one more great feature on what has quickly become one of my favorite pair of underwear.
I have worn them three times since I received them in the mail. I have laundered them four times and the print didn’t fade at all and they have kept their shape. I have found in the past that printed underwear doesn’t always last but these are holding up great.
The underwear is a size medium and the size is accurate. They cover a size 32 to 34 inch waist. I have somewhat athletic thighs and the leg openings were not so tight that they cut into my legs.
Pros:
- Great material
- Amazing print
- Comfortable, from the beginning of the day to the end of the day
- Great fit for your butt and crotch
- Stands up after washing and wearing several times
- Pocket watch/condom pocket
Cons:
- I only have one pair so far.
- But really, I cannot think of a con with this underwear
Ratings:
- Daily fit – 10
- Sizing – 10
- Construction/Material – 10
- Styling – 10

I recommend you guys give the Sly Torn Denim Boxer Brief a try. If you are not a boxer briefs kind of guy these will change your mind and make a believer out of you. This pair was furnished for review by Sly Collective.
Cellblock13 has really entered the fetish market. The new G-Force collection has a mesh pouch and a cup. Its one of the few times that I have see a cup in fetishwear form a brand. Check out the video and we’ll have more about the line soon!
The PetitQ boys sent over some great pics. Some we can’t show here (they are without PetitQ, and naked). but They took these pics at Indulge resort in Palm Springs. We hopefully will have some reviews from them soon!
When I”m in Vegas I always, ALWAYS get Gelato. It prob is one of my favorite things in the world. Here in ATL there are few places to get it, that are really good. So when aussieBum releases a range called Gelato, they have my attention. To mix two favorite things how could it go wrong?
The new range is a cotton range made in really fun colors. The names are inspired by gelato flavors. The colors are: Bubblegum (blue), Berry (purple), Blue Berry (light blue), Melon (pink), Espresso (Black), Cherry (red), Mint (Green), Licorice (Navy). All really fun colors. The styles that are available are a brief and Jock.
One thing I like, besides the main name is the waistband. aB has amazing waistbands. They always create new ones to match the undies they come out with. So this one is super fun and is similar to ones they have had in the bast but really set off the pair. The second thing I love is the contrasting trim on the legs. So often that is either the same color but it adds a little something to the pair.
These are available at the aussieBum site for $15 for the jock and $18.29 for the brief. These are some of the more affordable pairs from them. So def check these out if you’re a fan!
Nasty Pig has released their Spring/Summer 2014 video. The video features clothing but also their underwear. Nasty Pig has really increased stuff outside the world of underwear!

I was recently was given the opportunity to test wear a pair of trunks from the Sly Collective. Sly Collective is a new brand in my collection. I had never heard of them prior to them showing up in my mailbox. I was very pleased with my first time wearing them. The fit and wear was very comfortable. I was told that these wear trunks, but I would say that better fit the description and cut of boxer briefs. While I do not know the exact measurement specifications for trunks versus boxer briefs. I feel this pair better fits in the boxer brief category. There is a very distinct difference between Sly’s trunks and boxer briefs, so making the right choice is easy. Browsing the website of Sly reveals that they have a wide variety of colors and patterns. They also offer a small selection of briefs if that is your preferred cut of underwear. I would encourage you to browse the website of Sly Collective and see for yourself.
I took Sly Collective on a test wear during a normal day in my life. There was nothing uncomfortable about them from the moment I first donned them until I removed them at the end of the day. The sign of a good fitting pair is the not knowing you have them on and Sly did that for me. Often times you have to readjust the leg placement or fix a wedgie. Sly required no adjustment at all. I wore them while doing extensive walking and also during some seated time in a vehicle. Getting out of a car will usually mean having to pull the legs down on a pair of trunks or boxer briefs. Again, not with Sly as they stayed right where they were supposed to. I call into question the longevity of the legs and their ability to keep the underwear where they belong after normal wear and tear.
Since I was given a pair of trunks to review the size I wore was small. I follow a general rule of thumb that when I wear trunks or boxer briefs I go with smalls. This rule has suited me well and in the case of Sly Collective also holds true. The measurements for the small size is 30 to 32 inches. I would say that this sizing is very true to reality. If you consider yourself to be a small then ordering a small in Sly would not disappoint. I would definitely consider myself a small in Sly Collective trunks and boxer briefs.
Considering that the Sly Collective trunks I reviewed were more along the lines of boxer briefs than trunks. I still rather liked them. As I mentioned before I wore them during a normal day and did not know I had them on. They required no adjustment throughout the day and stayed in place from beginning to end. The material was soft and waistband was the perfect size. The bands on the bottom of the legs were tight enough to hold the legs in place not so tight they made the underwear uncomfortable. They even included a cute little pocket on the leg in which to hide a small item. This a catchy feature that makes them unique and fun. I have no real complaints of Sly Collective. I still stand by my original belief though that they would better fall into the category of boxer briefs. That is a small issue in the grand scheme of things. All in all a great pair of underwear that I strongly recommend checking out. I know I’ll be shopping for another pair, briefs this time.
Pros:
- Soft comfortable fabric
- Strong leg bands to hold in place
- Unique pocket feature to set them apart
Cons:
- Better suited to the boxer brief category
Ratings:
- Daily Fit – 8
- Sizing – 8
- Construction/Material – 9

Rockwood Underwear has come on to the underwear scene. They are doing something I think is pretty cool! We got a chance to interview Rick the owner. This is what he has to say about the company!
We wrote up Rockwood up a few weeks ago but tell our readers about your brand? What made you make Limited edition underwear?
First, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Rick, the designer for Rockwood. I started Rockwood after I decided to follow a dream. I heard the quote “If you enjoy what you do for a living, then you never have to work a day in your life.” This quote made sense to me so I set out to find something I enjoyed or had true interest in….. underwear happened to be it! For Rockwood, I want to produce underwear with bold colors, crazy prints and all things in between. A lot of brands do the same thing so I figured I had to set Rockwood apart from all the others. I do this by making every pair Limited Edition. Only 500 pairs will be created for each style across the sizes. This is not 500 pairs per size, but in total. By making every style Limited Edition, that cuts down the chance of finding someone else with the same pair as you. It’s the exclusivity that we want people to experience….that “I have these and you don’t” feeling. LOL
Another thing I want people to know about Rockwood is that I want to keep it real with my customers and followers. I’m a normal guy, just like them, who had a dream and worked to make it a reality. I want them to see a friend in me so I have since started a blog. There you will find postings about what’s going on with Rockwood along with personal postings about what’s going on in my life. You can also find what’s posted on our Instagram account @rockwoodunderwear. I encourage you all to check out the blog at http://blog.rockwoodunderwear.com/ . Follow along and check back often.
How often are you going to change the pairs?
I know most designers follow the Spring/Summer Fall/Winter design seasons, but I want to keep it more revolving. When we get something produced, I want to release it. I don’t want to keep our customers waiting for something new. Besides, we wear underwear all year round so it makes sense to just keep it revolving.
In the pairs you have created do you have a personal favorite?
Aside from the obvious answer of “I love them all,” I do have a personal favorite. I love the Electric Orange Trunks that we have out right now. At the moment, I’m more of a trunk guy so I fell in love with the fit. The bold orange with the kickass printed waistband just makes it all the better. Then to top it off, printed on the inside of the waistband is a playful tagline that you may want to show off. I recommend you all to give them a try!
Any styles or colors you have found have been best sellers?
The first style that sold out was the White Boxer Briefs. It’s a staple for anyone’s underwear drawer so I can see why it sold out so quickly. We thought people would stick to a certain cut/style when placing an order of multiple pairs. However, we have found that a lot of people mix it up. We find a lot of people order briefs and trunks, prints and solids, and any mix in between. I think this is great because it shows me that people are down to try different styles. I know from personal experience, I want to wear a certain style when I’m doing different activities. This seems to hold true for most others.
What’s coming up for Rockwood?
LOTS! We want to take Rockwood as far as we can. We’ve got ideas for new designs and styles running through our heads and we can’t wait to share them. This is why you all should check the blog out to find out what’s new. We also encourage people to check out our Instagram account. People are able to easily give feedback and we encourage people to interact with us on Instagram. My favorite thing about all of this is connecting with people. This is why I love it when people Like and Comment on our posts.
I’m grateful for being able to participate in this interview with UNB. I just want to spread the word about Rockwood and keep it real with all our followers. I want them to see that “friend” in me and join me on this journey. As I mentioned before, this is why I throw in personal postings on the blog. I make no promises on proper grammar though….I guess that’s just part of keeping it real with you all. Haha!

This is a bit of a mash up for a Style Brief and a review. The Extreme Master Bodysuit was on sale for $10 in a two-day sale on UnderGear and I decided to buy it. I have a friend, (shout out to Kevin) who bought it a while back and he looked awesome in it and I had to get one. So, when the 2 day sale had it for $10 I jumped at it.
The bodysuit is like a jockstrap with straps that go over shoulders. Therefore the front has a pouch and the back has straps like a jock that go up over your shoulders. Let’s face it if you love fetish wear this pair is HOT. More and more guys (gay and straight) are buying fetish wear. I will admit I have loved it for years but don’t have anyone to wear it for, so it kind of gets lost just wearing it alone.
This is not a pair I think you can or would want to wear under clothes. I say this because the straps criss cross in the back. Granted it took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to put it on. First, at my defense I was a bit tired and it was late. Second, it’s not a pair you just slide on.
I discovered you have to put one side on at a time. The strap on the right front attaches in the left back and vice versa for the other side. Once you figure that out it’s a very hot pair and fit pretty well. Granted I didn’t like the way I looked in it but hoping to lose some weight to look as good as my friend Kevin in it!
Where would you wear this pair? Well, to me there is only one place you would wear it, and it would be in the bedroom. I don’t see this under jeans, a suit or any other area. And, since we are all underwear lovers there is nothing wrong with having fetish wear just for the bedroom. We all have undies we save for special and romantic occasions.
My take on the Master Bodysuit. I think it’s totally hot. I am letting my wild side out with it. It’s not recommended to wear under clothes, I would say save this for someone special and enjoy an evening with them. Its underwear and isn’t it supposed to be sexy and fun!
The Master Body Suit is at UnderGear for $25. You can find it on sale but remember the first time you put it on it may take you a minute to figure it out!
I’m kind of sad this is my last review of Blue Collar Underwear. I have really enjoyed wearing them. They are a really great underwear company you guys should check out. I saved the Skateboarder Trunk as the last pair. As you know I’m not a big fan of trunks/boxer briefs and this one didn’t have the really great pouch. So I figured why not (and I temporarily misplaced it is the real reason). What? Yes I do misplace things.
The first thing I LOVED was the waistband. Green is my favorite color in everything and in underwear it really draws me to a pair. So the waistband and green stitching I loved. Although the lack of pouch really had me worried. I never do well with pairs that are flat in front. It doesn’t hold things in place and after a while it drives me crazy. I mean so crazy the pairs have to go and I usually bring an extra pair of underwear to change into.
I hesitantly slid on the pair and hoped for the best. The first thing I noticed, unlike many other pairs, it did fit me pretty well. There wasn’t any worry of things moving where they shouldn’t. Granted I didn’t know if this would hold up but was hoping for the best. These are made to be an “athlete’s dream trunk” as they say on the Blue Collar site. I would agree with this statement. They would be great for working out or being active.
I really was surprised how well these held up for the day. I don’t know how it created a pouch. There is no defined pouch like previous pairs and it looks just like a regular pair of trunks that I am not a fan of wearing. As I have said before that Blue Collar is making underwear for real guys. They are one brand you are going to have to look out for in the year to come.
Sizing on these were perfect. Unlike the Snake Charmer, these fit great. As I have said I’m 6’4’/245 and 38 waist. These fit 36-39 and really were super comfy. They didn’t ride up or bind at any time. The one thing I hate about trunks is they ride up in the legs. I don’t know how they made these but it’s a win-win in every area.
Pros:
- Green Waistband – love green
- Created a pouch – when I didn’t think it would
- Breathable material
Cons:
- This pair I can’t think of any other than it may make me rethink my dislike for boxer briefs
Ratings:
- Daily Fit – 9.5

Blue Collar underwear furnished this pair of underwear for review. You can find this pair for $21.00 on their website.
So tell us about the new collection. What sets is apart from the previous collection?
This season it was important for us to hold on to everything that made the success of our first collection. Ultra soft fabric, perfect fit and a bold aesthetic. With this new collection we wanted to celebrate spring/summer with a bold approach. We have really brightened-up our offering by introducing these fresh new colors inspired by the energy of Miami. There is something really celebratory about this collection!
You did a crowd fund strategy, who did that work for you guys? Was there any thing that surprised you doing the campaign?
Our Kickstarter campaign was done by us and we had a blast! The concept is brilliant. What better way to connect with our existing customer base and new ones at the same time. What made it work for us was really the interactivity of our campaign in which we ask backers to select their favorite designs in an array of options.
Will you do another crowd funded campaign ? If so what did you learn that will make it better?
Kickstarter is the best way for us to consult with people beforehand and make sure we bring them what they need. The main aspect is to really try to innovate, bring a value added to the backers. You want to take them on a journey with you and make them become part of the team.
Do you guys have a favorite pair in the collection?
It really depends on which mood I’m but right now it’s the Mansion brief (bright pink with titan grey)! I’ll have to check with the rest of the team to get their favorites as well!
What do you think sets Garcon Model apart from other underwear brands?
We’re definitely in the business of making men look sharp and fitted. At the very core of our values we believe everyone should look stylish in whatever form that takes. Our goal is to provide men with tasteful underwear that brings a little fun and stylish edge without going overboard. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Waistband are super important to me, so what made you do the #flashyourwaistband ?
Waistband is the most visible part of the underwear and it’s the one element that people will get a glimpse off. Our infinity waistband has been hugely praised and has now become a signature style. It’s also a statement of who you are. The brand of your underwear can tell as much about you as a whole outfit can, so you might as well be proud of it and flash it!
What is up next for Garcon Model?
We will be expanding our wholesale distribution throughout 2014 with department stores and online retailers to ensure that Garçon Model is positioned alongside other premium underwear brands. We have lots of new products down the line that we can’t wait for people to see. So definitely stay tuned! We’ll also be introducing a brand-new look and a more muted palette of colors for the winter months.

I LOVE Paul Ferrer underwear. I saw a guy on Tumblr wearing the brand and Googled them. I think they have some super fun pairs. This is from their latest shoot and the waistband to me is HOT! They do really fun shoots and we hope you enjoy
This is my fourth pair of Blue Collar Underwear. I will say I’m impressed with them so far. The pair I’m reviewing on this review is the Snake Charmer Trunk. This pair I was super excited to get. The material felt amazing when I took it out of the bag. Super soft and felt almost rubber like. The second thing I noticed was there was a print on the pair. It was printed in black on black fabric so you really had to look to see it. It was super cool! This one was so much fun.
I slid them on and well…it didn’t fit. It was a bit too small. I was super bummed. I didn’t want to get a pair to review that I can’t fit in. Granted I don’t have a large backside, but it didn’t cover me completely at the top. I was really upset I love this pair. I decided to give them a try anyway. I figured they are on, the worst that would happen would be I would have to take them off during the day at some point. This wouldn’t be an issue because I had tons of errands to run and would be running in and out all day.
As the day went on I totally forgot that the pair didn’t fit me. Which too many I know is hard to believe but I did. I ran around and the pair didn’t slide down. I still find it hard to believe that it didn’t. I bought a pair once, I won’t name the name, but it didn’t fit and as the day went on it totally slid down. So I give them props for this and the awesome material.
The material is 95% Viscoseand and 5% Spandex. I don’t believe I have ever had a pair made out of Viscoseand before. I loved the feel. Much like the other pairs I have reviewed they had a defined pouch. They have really mastered the great fitting pouch. When you look at all their pairs each style has a great pouch. Lastly is the print, I love how subtle it is and how it adds to the pair with out making it appear over the top.
I wore these on errands like I said. So it was a some what busy day. The smaller size really didn’t detract from the pair. After I put on my jeans I never felt them being small again. I know it seems crazy but it didn’t bother me the rest of the day. I forgot midway through the day and wasn’t till that night that I remembered.
Sizing, well this one really didn’t fit me that well. I am 6’4”/245 and 38 waist. This said it fits 36-39 but I have a feeling it’s more 36. I don’t know if it was mislabeled or just a miss size. The other pairs I have reviewed never had an issue. We all can buy a one off that doesn’t fit 100% perfect. Every brand has them and I would say exchange it for a new one if you do.
Pros:
- Love the materials the Viscoseand felt great
- Again can’t talk about the pouch enough
- The design printed was super fun
Cons
- Sizing – it didn’t fit me
- Some guys may not like the smaller trunk design
