The League range from aussieBum is a staple of the brand. Each year this line is updated. Some years its a a slight color update, meaning they add one or two colors. Other times they do a complete revamp. This year they did a complete revamp of the line. The colors they chose are a mix of colors you don’t normally see in swimmer. I really like the color selections.

The colors they chose are: Flamingos (pictured above), Peacocks, Sharks, Sparrows, Dolphins, Tiger, Doves, Leopard and Whales. Can you guess which colors is which? I bet you can’t. Well Flamingos is pink, Peacocks is a teal, Sharks is a lighter blue, Sparrows is red, Dolphins is a medium blue, Tiger is orange, Doves is white, Leopard is black and Whales is a dark blue. All pretty cool colors.

The line is a square cut design. Each year is represented on the front right hip or back in the number. This year is 15 so there is a 15 on it. This series has been around for over 5 years so you may have seen it on the net with different pictures. The first time I remember seeing it was in 2010 and they did a Water Polo shoot.

It’s a great suit for those not wanting to go full swim brief but wear something fun at the beach or pool. With the addition of these amazing colors you will stand out for sure. Especially if you wear the Flamingos pink suit. That suit, mark my words will be one of the first to sell out. Pink in swimwear is always awesome. Pink isn’t going anywhere in men’s underwear or swimwear.

Justin Bieber the new CK Underwear Model

When you think Pop Stars you would want as as an underwear model, I would be safe to assume that Justin Bieber is not top of your list. But he is the new face of Calvin Klein. It was released on his Twitter with the phrase “it begins.” I will be the first to admit the pictures don’t look half bad.

Justin joins former CK underwear models Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Sabato Jr, Marcus Schenkenberg, Fredrik Ljungberg, Djimon Hounsou and Brandon Stoughton. CK has never shied away from making controversial picks for their models. In the 197o’s he had a very young Brooke Shields say “Nothing becomes between her and her Calvins” when she was just 17. When he got Marky Mark aka Mark Wahlberg he had a rougher image than he does today. So many people were skeptical about it.

When I first saw this I thought maybe it was a hoax. Back in the 90’s Woody Harrelson had a bill board up in Times Square as a CK underwear model. It turned out it was just part of a movie called “The Cowboy Way.” But do a Google search and you will see this is legit. It’s reported in everything from the Daily Mail in the UK to US Magazine. So the Bieb’s is going to be in CK for a bit.

What do you guys think to this choice? It’s not the one I would choose for them. I think they should get an someone like Adam Levine, Chris Evans, Liam Hemsworth or for a lesser known actor maybe Matt McGorry. But I can see why they would pic Justin. For one, he’s a controversial figure and they are going to get massive publicity (we are doing a post on it). Next, you got to admit he does look good in the pics. I was surprised he has put on some muscle, has a few more tats and yeah prob photoshopped for it.

Do you feel CK made a good choice in choosing Justin s the new face of CK? Or do you think they made a big mistake in having him pose in his undies and joining the ranks of previous models.

The temperature is about to turn COLD here in the States. Even in warmer climates a cold front is moving in and bringing below average temperatures! So it’s the weather for Long Johns. It’s making wish I had snagged me a pair before now! Go Softwear’s American Jock has added pair of long johns to the Active line.

These aren’t your typical long johns. They are made out of a “lightweight athletic stretch mesh fabric making them ideal to wear underneath regular pants for warmth or with your favorite workout gear for added muscle support.” So they may not be ideal for super cold climates but if you’re planning to be active and want some extra coverage these maybe perfect for you!

The entire Active line is black with a trim color. Those colors are red, royal and yellow. The design as described by Go Softwear is ” This design has a functioning front fly for easy access as well as banded at the bottom with contrast color trim for a clean sporty look. The colorful 1 ¼ inch waist band is superbly woven with AMERICAN JOCK logo feels like a second skin”. The long Johns retail for $49.50!

Mystery Underwear Challenge

One of the best things about underwear is the common ground it gives you with other underwear enthusiasts. There is so much about underwear that can bring people together as we have noticed at Underwear News Briefs with our staff and readers. From the brands to the styles, colors, design, and fit, the conversation pieces are endless. Male, female, gay, straight, it does not matter because we all love underwear and we love sharing what we love about underwear with one another.

Since starting at UNB, I (@UNBKyle) have made some great relationships with all of the above. I have bonded through underwear with other staff members, brands, readers and even models. One bond that has continue to grow was with my fellow writer UNBJon (@UNB_J). This dynamic duo has been quite fascinating as we cover a wide variety of likes and dislikes. As we continued to talk and discuss underwear, we came up with a great way to strengthen this new found friendship and underwear collection.

Throughout 2015, we are going to choose 1 pair of underwear a month for each other as a way to step out of what we know and love and experience either what the other loves or what we have not experienced yet. It is our Mystery Pair Challenge in which each month we will select a pair of underwear from any brand and style of our choosing for the other to wear and review. We will send the pair to one another and not know what it is until we open the package and reveal our new gift. No matter how different or familiar with what we already know, the gift must be accepted each month. It is both nerve wracking and exciting at the same time.

2015: 15 New Brands For My Drawer

Welcome to 2015

Happy New Year to all of our Underwear News Briefs readers out there. Another year has come to a close and whether it was a good year or a bad year we are all ready to see what 2015 will bring us. Personally, 2014 was a decent year for me and it is where my start came with Underwear News Briefs. I was honored and privileged to join the UNB team where I have made some great new friends and been able to experience more of the underwear world than I had done in the past.

As I have been in my first year at UNB, I have been exposed to many new brands through posts and advertising but have not had the ability to wear them yet. We have some great new UNB projects coming this year that we will tell everyone about soon!

For myself, I want to really expand my underwear knowledge and drawer with new brands that have been standing out in advertising for me but I have yet to slip on. So for 2015, I am ready to try 15 new brands that I have never worn before. These 15 brands have been on my wish list for a while and I am not going to make them a reality. For some of these brands, I am not sure exactly what pair to buy yet and would love any input or suggestions from our readers. New Years resolutions and Underwear

How many of us make New Years resolutions each year? I would wager to say that there are quite a few of us. But how do you get them to work? Experts say make them reasonable and measurable. I say tie your love of underwear into the resolutions. I hear you going “yeah I love undies but how do I tie them into my resolutions?

Well here are a few ways you can tie it in with your resolutions

Get in better shape. How many of us have made this and broke it by January 7th? Well one way to tie underwear in is buy performance underwear for the gym and only wear it to the gym. Brands to consider are UnderArmour, Nike, Papi Cross Roads and Bike
Better presentation skills. Public speaking and presenting can be nerve racking. I was talking to a friend this week (one I didn’t know liked undies) and he said he wear thongs on days he’s giving a presentations. It takes his mind off giving it and gives him a boost in this co offense for the day. Underwear can change you attitude. Brands to consider Gregg Homme, Joe Snyder and Pistol Pete
Before out going. I myself am a bit of an extrovert so I totally get wanting to be more out going. A few months ago Kyle wrote how his boss told him to put himself out there more. Little did the boss know he was wearing the Andrew Christian (Insert name). I am not saying let it hang free but wear smoke thing sexy. Maybe even wear something fetish related that could be mesh or a jock. Brands to consider Cellblock13, Modus Vivendi or Timoteo
Step up you fashion. This may sound counter intuitive but not all guys who dress wear great undies. To me there is nothing worse than a guy who looks like the stepped off the pages of GQ but only to wear cartoon boxers or something else as rediculous. Wear something classic that shows your personality and Style. You don’t have to go crazy but great underwear is tha icing on the cake. Brands to consider 2(x)ist, C-IN2, Calvin Klein or Diessel
Spice up the bedroom. Sometimes the bedroom suffers when we get busy. We get in a rut and need to get out. So we plan evenings where is all about something new with our partners. So we step out of our box and wear something super hot that we wouldn’t normally wear. I hope many of you would spice it up ona reg basis. That could be something skimpy, small or super fun. Brands to consider are Clever, Pikante, Andrew Christian and N2N Bodywear

Many of us out there don’t want to wear plain solid underwear. We want to show off who we are through our underwear. We do this through unorthodox colors (pink and purple), patterns, prints and cuts. I feel underwear is just another extension of our personality. Very few see it but its awesome when someone catches a glimpse of your undies and ask “What are you wearing?” They ask because they are intrigued by it and want to find out more.

Frank Dandy is one of those companies that just get underwear is fun and creates amazing prints and patterns. Sometimes they are over the top and other times they are perfect. But, what’s over the top for me may be the perfect pair for you. Underwear is subjective and it’s great we have so many choices. Work Out in Style with Papi Cross-Roads Line

Let’s face it many of us, including me, make a vow every year to get into better shape. Whether we keep up with it or not is up to us! One way I have found I keep my resolutions is to buy new underwear just for working out. Then after I see results allow myself to buy more. The Papi Corss-Roads line would be a great set of underwear to wear to the gym. Not only would it motivate you to get into shape but you would look great doing it.

The line is as they say “Take your underwear to the next level of endurance and comfort with the crossroads performance series. The sleek moisture wicking fabrication offers a smooth feel, but is built to keep up with you even during the most strenuous activities”

The line has a camo and solid section but I think the camo is way cooler! It’s not a crazy camo print but super fun and if the undies show under your shorts why not give them something to look at rather than basic black or white.

The line consists of a Compression short, Jock (in camo and solid), Euro brief, Muscle Jersey, Brazilian Trunk (solid and camo), and Boxer Brief.

Are you a fan of Football Jocks? They have been around for as long as I can remember. Each brand puts their own spin on the jock. Some so a lace up string down the pouch while others keep it at the top. The jock itself can be a regular jock with the lace or a more fashion jock!

Andrew Christian has made a fashion jock with the laces at the top. The jock has around a 1 inch waistband with a pouch featuring the Show-It Technology. If you’re not familar with the Show-It technology. It has a ring you slide your business through and it gives you a lift and enhances what you have. If your’e not a fan of this type of enhancement, we suggest you don’t buy it. If you don’t mind it then this is the jock for you.

The Jock is available in a few colors. They are Fuchsia, Navy and Royal. The waistband has what reminds me of a lace up design of board shorts. Its definitely an interesting design for sure. I think if I did get one I would get the Fuchsia one, I mean a pink jock what’s not to love about that! I have never had a pink jock, I think I have pink in every other color but a jock!
