We have many readers who need and love a bigger pouch. WildmanT, who is no stranger to creating sexy and fun undies. Has created the Big Boy Pouch underwear! The name pretty much sums up the big part of the collection (no pun intended). Here is their description:

The WildmanT Big Boy Pouch line is perfect for the men with Big Junk! This Big Pouch was designed to hold a lot. The roomy pouch slips around and holds your boys with easy and comfort. No more smashing your balls or sticking to your legs. The pouch surrounds your manhood and allows it to swing freely with the easy your low hangers were meant to! Plus the great comfort mesh allows your boys to get some fresh air!

One thing you will notice is the line is made in all black. Which can be quite sexy and hot. There is something to be said for a black pair of underwear. It never goes out of style! Speaking of styles, the styles available are a Pouch Brief, Pouch Bikini, Boxer Brief, Micro Thong and the Pouch thong. They range from classic to skimpy!

One reason I Love this line is because its taking a classic pair, the basic black brief. Then turned it into something super sexy. This is true if you are one of those guys who need a bigger pouch. Speaking from experience there is nothing worse than a pouch that confines and restricts your anatomy.

Find the line at the WildmanT site! See the entire line below

1327-Real Leather-Low rez

When you think of erotic and fetishwear one of the brands that always comes to mind is Gregg Homme. They have made so many amazing pairs over the years. One thing they haven’t ventured into was the world of leather. Leather and fetish kind of go hand in hand. However, Gregg Homme wouldn’t do just any type of leather, it would have to be fashionable and in the GH spirit!

In August when I last saw Gregg Homme they showed me this collection. They were telling me they were going into leather. I was intrigued big time. This line is made out of 100% top-quality, Italian lambskin leather. Which means its super soft and not like the pairs you may see in a leather bar. Rather it’s more fashionable and fun. Don’t worry about the pair being too rough against your skin it’s lined with cotton.

I got to feel and touch these pairs in Vegas. It really surprised me how soft they were and amazing they felt. These are pairs of leather underwear you can actually wear all day. Like all Gregg Homme underwear it’s not made just for play time but rather feel sexy all day. Also, these are some of the most expensive pairs of underwear they have ever made.

There are three styles in the Real Leather line. Those styles are Pouch, Thong and brief. The pouch is more of a g-string cut. There are also three different colors in each. They are black, red and aqua. It’s mandatory I think when you do leather you have to have a black pair. The red is my personal favorite. It just pops. Many out there may like the Aqua. It is not a color you would expect in leather!

As you would expect leather underwear is cared for different than regular underwear. This is not a pair you can just throw in the washing machine and dryer. If you are interested and haven’t worn leather before take that into account. This is one pair I would follow the care instructions to a T. Because you would hate to ruin a $100 pair of underwear.

The string retails for $64.95, the thong is $93.95 and the brief comes in at $136.95. I told you they were pricy. If you do get it and care for the pair it will last you for quite a few years. Also, this could be your first pair of leather underwear and would be a great starter pair!

1323-Cheeky- Low rez

Gregg Homme is all about sexy! We have seen that over the years of collections being released. This year is no different one of the new hot lines is the Cheeky. Which is a play on words because your cheeks will be showing, well some of them. This new collection just is amazing its one of the best they have ever created! The Cheeky definitely fits in the over all collection.

What is the Cheeky? It “has an opaque, center-seamed pouch with an inner enhancement layer and contour red jersey piping, flanked by mesh panelling that is also part of the seat (also with red piping). The 1.5-inch waistband has the signature Gregg Homme logo patch sewn in at center front.” Black and red has always been an awesome combination in the world of underwear.

Is sexy showing it all off? Not always sometimes you want to leave a little to the imagination, but what if you want to show it all off? This line has your covered, or uncovered. Some of the pouches are have the mesh outlining the pouch and others are made out of 100% mesh! It really will depend on your mood!

The Cheeky collection comes in a Trunk, Jock, Boxer brief, Thong, Brief and Tank. Each one of these will have some sort of cheek factor. It carries depending on the pair. The cuts are different each pair. This is one of the few pairs you need to loo at the back as much as the front. We have posted the front and back of each pair for you to see.

My personal favorite are the trunks. I love the show of skin but not showing it all off. Its just way sexier. But you may have a different opinion and may love the mens pouches. Regardless the line is super sexy and hot! I would take any pair in the collection.

Where would you wear these? I could see them worn any day to work or on a date night. I don’t think many would wear them to the gym. Gregg Homme makes amazing underwear that is super sexy and amazingly comfortable.  These range from $36 to $47 at the Gregg Homme site.

1325-Speed-Low rez

Are you up a fan of mesh? Ready to have your mind blown by two types of mesh on one pair of underwear? If you answered an overwhelming YES the new Gregg Homme Speed collection is for you. Before I go into the pairs of speed. Gregg Homme has has an amazing fetish side to their underwear. It’s engrained in their DNA. When you wear a pair you will feel sexy as hell in them.

The new Speed collection definitely falls in on the fetish side. It’s made to show off but not show it all off. Each pair contains 2 types of mesh and a solid pouch. Note that the pouch is cut very low with mesh above. This makes it SUPER sexy to me. Gregg Homme has pushed it to the next level with this line!

They have also added a new style. As you can see in the picture they have released a jammer. Which is a longer boxer brief style of underwear. The mesh goes down the legs and across the back and is very hot. It’s showing off without going too far. Would you wear this in public, I wouldn’t! Knowing some of our readers they will be wearing this to a bar night maybe with a harness and some leather.

The other styles in this collection are a brief/bikini, thong, Jockstrap, Trunk and the Jammer. Each one is cut a bit different but each of them are equally as sexy. My personal opinion is this line is one of the hottest I have seen in a while. It was shown to me in Vegas and I just feel in love with it. I think a lot of you guys will like it for the same reasons. The pouch mostly covers all the goods and you can show off but not show it all off. It could be worn on a date night or a play night.

There are more collections coming soon from Gregg Homme. This collection is massive and a lot of fun. We will bring you more very soon. Look this collection over and go have fun with it!

1322-Highrise- Low rezIt’s that time of year when the new Gregg Homme comes out! Over the next few weeks the entire collection will be out! The first pair we are covering is the High Rise. But just wait till you see more of the collection. It’s one of the largest they have done and each pair is pretty awesome. But I guess I”m kind of biased because they just make sexy underwear for men!

The High Rise is features one of the things Gregg Homme excels at, picking amazing fabric. The fabric is a honeycomb fabric that is thin, soft and slightly see through. This just adds to the sexiness for me. I am not the biggest fan of sheer mesh. It has it’s time and place but I prefer a little tease but not showing it all off. This is just added too by it being just available in black!

High Rise comes in the following styles. A bikini, Thong, Trunk/Boxer with lace up sides, short sleeve shirt, bikini with lace up sides,  g string, long sleeve shirt, muscle shirt,  thong with lace up sides and a reg trunk/boxer. My favorite is bikini  but I like them all! See the pictures below.

Where would you wear these? The best thing about Gregg Homme is that you can wear it anywhere. It’s designed to be worn anywhere. This could be worn under a suit, jeans or around the house! Its sexy underwear designed to be worn and not come off after a few hours! Although, I wouldn’t recommend wearing the shirt under a suit. It would be more of a night out pair!

We will be bringing you more pairs from Gregg Homme soon!

1556_Black_1It’s been a long time since we last saw a collection from PPU. If memory serves me as correct it was August/September 2014. We went all last year without a new sexy collection from them. PPU has done a mix of classic and sexy. This collection is definitely on the sexy end of the spectrum.

I will admit I love it when new collections come out. It’s like Christmas morning to me to see what surprises underwear companies have in store for us. I really love this collection because they really embrace the sexy side of the guy and I don’t feel they went over the top doing it.

Here are a few of the of the pairs in the new collection. Make sure you see the entire collection.

PPU has a new and interesting take on the Jockstrap. The PPU 1550 is a jock but without a waistband! The straps on the pouch loop back directly into the leg straps. This pair has a bit of a fun factor. I don’t ever recall seeing a design like this before. It comes in black or the blue/white. I personally love the blue!

Mesh has always been a part of PPU in some fashion. This collection has a new trunk that is part solid and part mesh. The 1555 trunk has a blue mesh pouch that runs all the way around the pair. The front shows off EVERYTHING but the back has less mesh. It’s available in black and blue. Each pair has the same mesh.

Are you a fan of bikinis? The 1556 Brief mixes a string bikini cut with mesh. Unlike the 1555 boxer this pair has a solid, well almost solid pouch. There is mesh at the top and across the back. I find this pair seriously HOT. It could be anything from a date night pair to a week day work pair. We think sexy underwear should not be just in the bedroom!

PPU 1569 is another take on the jock! PPU has a way of putting their spin on classic pairs. The jock is one they have played with many times. Each time they come up with something great. This jock looks traditional from the back. However, from the front, the elastic waistband doesn’t carry around. The pouch is attached on the corner and over top of the pouch there is no waistband. It ties back in on the hip. PPU just comes up with super creative new designs.

What would a PPU post be without a thong! This is the 1570 Thong. Its very similar to the first jock mentioned above. The blue is very similar. It has a cool block sort of pattern on the pouch. Which is attached to two strings that go around the back and tie in to the back string. It’s a cool design that is definitely going to draw attention.

These are just  a few of the new pairs that PPU has released. There are many more we didn’t cover. It’s great to see a collection after a year of being MIA from the underwear scene. You can find this at your favorite underwear retailer or at Candyman Fashion.

NOTE: UNB Tim does consulting for Candyman Fashion but the opinions in this post are his own.

There is a new brand on the market called Matthew Jewson Bodywear. Matthew Jewson is based out of Canada and has a very fun first collection. “Matthew Jewson Bodywear is a Luxury Menswear line that revolves around the basis of well fitting clothing. From there it can be as sexy, fun, or classic as you want, but all the while remaining well fitted to give any man a boost of confidence from the minute they slip a pair on. All of the items you purchase are Handmade in CANADA.”

What is in the first collection? It consists of Underwear, Swimwear, Eroticwear, Pleather and Latex look items. The collection has some very sexy cuts and materials. Matthew is about embracing your sexual side and having fun with it. At least thats the impression I get from the collection. I am liking what I am seeing from the initial collection. I am going to profile one piece from each category.

entice-boxer

The Matthew Jewson Entice Boxer is a boxer that has a bamboo pouch  sounded by mesh. It has the MJ logo on the front. We guarantee you will feel sexy wearing it

contour-swim-jock

The Matthew Jewson Contour Swim Jock. A few brands have done these over the years but I like how Matthew made a jock brief cut in a swim. So many guys want this cut to wear. I’m sure it will be one of the most popular pairs of the swim collection.

combat-complete-set

The Erotic Collection in Matthew Jewson Combat Complete set. They do something I wished more brand would do is sell everything in one collection. The Combat collection contains the ” Combat Harness is made of black elastic giving an easier fit than most leather harnesses and may be worn above the pecs or below and the Combat Holster, inspired by the classic gun holsters, is a mixture of a jock with leg straps featuring a pleather front lifting pouch”

latex-look-thong

The Matthew Jewson Latex Look Thong. Are you a fan of the look of latex? But hate the way you have to care for it? The Latex look collection is made out of a specialty spandex fabric to give you the look of latex without the hassle. The pouch has a lifting strap for maximum lift and the back will accentuate your assets.

One thing you should note is the sizing of the brand. The XL is 34-36. The reason for this is that Matthew “had been working on creating a well-fitting pair of underwear; due to his extra thin stature.” so the sizing starts at 26 and goes through 36 inches.

If you want to check out the initial collection go to the Matthew Jewson site.

Finding new fetish brands for you guys is one thing I really love! One of the new brands I just love is Maskulo. You may have seen them at Jockstrap Central. We have promoted them a few times. I wanted to give you guys a more in depth view of this company. Which totally fits our Fetish Friday brand! This is not gear you wear to the grocery store, but for a fun night.

The first thing that stuck me about the company is they are based out of Russia. I wasn’t expecting it, rather I was thinking they were out of Germany. I say this because of all the political issues surrounding being gay in Russia. This brand definitely is after the gay market but anyone wanting to have fun is definitely welcome!

One thing you may notice about the pairs is, they are inspired by Football (American that is). Most of the pairs have a padded section that will remind you of football pants or shoulder pads. My personal opinion is I Love this look. I have always had a thing for this kind of gear. I can’t just break out the UNB budget on the gear. The Jocks are at the low end at $38.52 (with exchange rates on 35.40 Euros).

What gear do they have?

Men’s Codpiece JockStrap G-string Thong Underwear – If I had to pick a favorite piece in the collection it would be the jock. I love the football inspired look of the entire collection and the gear geek in me would love to put it all on. The jock to me is HOT. It has a foam rubber cod piece. That detaches from the jock for easy access. Another piece of the jock I like is the waistband. Unlike a lot of leather looking fetish jock, its has a more traditional waistband. But much like a leather jock this is made for fun!

Men’s Leggings. Codpiece, leather-look pads. Gay fetish gear. Electric Blue – Not everything is backless in the collection. The leggings are more like runners with a cod piece. “the leather look rubber-foam pads will make your thighs and calves look very impressive. You can enjoy them by your own or invite several more lycra or muscle fans.”

Men’s Fetish Spandex Shorts. American football style. Codpiece, Thigh pads. White, Black – You can see the football inspiration in the pants. On the thighs are two padded panels that definitely mimic the football pads. The white also bring out more of the compression gear as well. Image if UnderArmour went fetish and you get this pair!

Men’s Fetish Spandex Wrestling Singlet. Yellow Lycra XS XL XXL Kickboxing COR – The singlets are a like a lot of the fetish singlets. It’s low cut and has an open back. The one addition that makes it truly Maskulo is the cod piece in the front that is detachable. You can wear it on or off.

Mens Fetish Top (Short Sleeve T-Shirt) with Shoulder guards / pads. Red – “Huge shoulders make a man look very impressive! That is why we created fetish t-shirt / top with leather-look shoulder pads!” This shirt has the look and feel of shoulder pads with out the bulk. It’s a super hot look in the shirt.

The sizing made me do a double take. The sizing is: 2XS (26-28″, 67-71 cm), XS (28-30″, 72-76 cm), S (30-32″, 77-81 cm), M (32-34″, 82-86 cm), L (34-36″, 87-91 cm), XL (36-38″, 92-96 cm), 2XL (38-40″, 97-101 cm), 3XL (40-42″, 102-106 cm), 4XL (42-44″, 107-111 cm), 5XL (44-46″, 112-116 cm). It’s every two inches is a new size.

If you want to check out these styles see the Maskulo website!

greatLace is one of those fabrics in men’s underwear that guys either love or hate. There is little in between the two. Lace is also one of the biggest trends in men’s underwear called Men’s Lingerie. It is designed to make guys feel sexy!

What lace are we talking about? We’re talking men’s underwear made of lace, not wearing women’s. Underwear specifically designed for men that just happened to e made out of lace.

We have asked a few guys to partake in this Debate. They are guys of all sexual orientations (from Straight to gay), it’s a good cross section of guys to have this talk with, we hope you enjoy it and will share with us your opinions on the questions.

Ok guys, When did you first notice Lace underwear on the market?

Tim3lordDavid: I first noticed Lace underwear in the fall of 2003. Having just started art college and already accepting my Bisexuality, I was already aware of sexy undies. However, This being my first time living away from home I was able too more feely shop for undies of all styles for men. I was well aware of the standard “sexy” styles (thong, bikini, and others). My first encounter with lace was in an adult store and saw them.

UnderwearDude: I don’t remember seeing any lace underwear during my first bit of time when I was buying underwear online, but I know i’ve seen them since ei’ve come back, so sometime around the end of 2010.

HornySimon: I heard about lace men underwear a year ago.

JIM: I think it was September or October of last year (2014). I was actually doing some research for a college paper and I was looking at a Chinese Wholesale website. I thought it was an Asian trend at the time but I am starting to see it more and more.

What was your first reaction when you saw lace underwear for men?

Tim3lordDavid: It was a whole new world of amazing that opened up too me. For the longest time I had always wondered why women always got the run of sexy styles and fabrics for underwear. So when I first came across them I honestly thought it was a joke, I was gladly mistaken. My heart filled with joy when I was able to get them for a fairly reasonable price ($20). As you may have guessed I was incredibly nervous and excited.

UnderwearDude: Probably confused, a little disgusted honestly.

HornySimon: I founded it very sexy .

JIM: I thought it was an Asian thing. I thought it looked a little too feminine. I didn’t find it attractive at all.

What did you like/dislike about the underwear you saw?

Tim3lordDavid: I absolutely loved the style (boy short), the feel of the fabric (much softer on the skin than cotton). The fact that they had a “pocket” in the front for men. A big plus for me was and is still “no real waist band”, I mean honestly not having an elastic strap around my waist (or at least less of one) is an amazing feeling. On a non-visual point. I also highly loved the fact that I could AT LONG LAST look and feel as sexy as I’ve always wanted.

UnderwearDude: It just looked weird. I’m so used to seeing women in lace, not men, that the images just felt unsettling.

HornySimon: I liked the look and the sexy style. I found it original.

JIM: The first style I saw was trunks. They were white and looked a little like the doilie teblecloths that my grandmother used to have on the end-tables in her living room. They looked very uncomfortable. It seemed to me that if they were a little too tight they would leave impressions on some very sensitive parts of the models.

On the bright side I did like the “peek-a-boo” effect that they offered. I got the feeling that if I looked close enough I would be able to see what was under them.

Have you tried lace underwear? If so what made you try it? If not why not?

Tim3lordDavid: Lace is one of my favourite fabrics I have in constant stock and use. I was always curious as too what that fabric felt like, after having seen many women in lace (and not being the kind of guy too wear ladies undies). So as soon as got the chance…I was all over that. Like a dream coming true.

UnderwearDude: I have not. I’m not interested in lace, it isn’t my thing. I prefer to see lace on women, not wear it myself.

HornySimon: Yes I tried it. I tried because I wanted some sexy original underwear. Just to know what lace feels like. And if I would like it. I like it a lot. Perfect to wear during hot weather season. Very comfy at home. And so sexy for a date night and bedtime fun.

JIM: There are two reasons I have never tried lace underwear:

1. As I mentioned above the idea of lace impressions being left on my junk after wearing them is not something I am interested in. I immediately think about when I was a kid and I fell asleep on the couch with my face on a corduroy pillow. Itchy, uncomfortable, and it took about 20 minutes to get the stripes off my cheek. I can only imaging what it would feel like after a few hours of having my parts pressed against intricately patterned lace.

2. I am not into man-scaping and I have unusually long hair. I think, in my case, it would be very unattractive to have hair poking out all over the place. Kinda like an X-rated Chia Pet in my pants.

Lace underwear comes in skipper styles such as bikinis, thongs and g-strings, is this a positive, negative or a non issue for you?

Tim3lordDavid: This is a huge plus for me! I’m a huge fan of all the sexy undies (mind you my personal least favourite would be the G-string) listed above. Mind you on there own they are alright, However too add lace is too mix my favourite things, lace and all things sexy…it’s like reaching Nirvana.

UnderwearDude: It’s a non issue. It makes sense to me that feminine inspired materials would end up mostly on feminine inspired styles of underwear.

HornySimon: It’s a positive thing I tried first with a mini trunk and now I have string, jock and lace boxer

JIM: The only style I have ever seen is trunks. I think lace in the other styles may be a bit too much. To each his own though. If somebody feels good wearing a lace thong who am I to tell them not to?

There is a whole debate about its too feminine for men. Some love mixing the masculine and feminine together. Do you agree that it’s too feminine, and why do you feel this way?

Tim3lordDavid: This debate is silly in my mind. Too claim that something is specifically made for either Masc or Fem men is an ignorant one. I feel that if you’re a body builder, firefighter, writer, poet, etc. You should feel comfortable in lace if you like. I say this as a proud Bisexual man, I would much rather be out and proud with no shame, or anything to hide. I’m not exactly the most masculine looking man but I am in my eyes a masculine man…who just so happens too enjoy lace as well as boxers.

UnderwearDude: I agree it’s too feminine.I’m okay with men wearing pink underwear. Many guys wear pink polos, so why not pink briefs? Besides, back before the 40’s pink was a boys color and blue was a girls color. I’m also ok with guys wearing more feminine inspired styles like bikinis and thongs. Heck, those are my two favorite styles! Having said that, I have to draw the line at men’s underwear with lace on it. Lace is simply to connected with the female form and identity. No matter how many times I see it, a lace men’s pair always looks odd or unsettling to me. Many straight men, when asked what they would want to see their wife/girlfriend in, might respond to the effect of “I don’t care, as long as it’s lacy.” the idea that lace=female has manifested quite hard in the average male’s subconscious, including mine. I’m okay with guys wearing lacy underwear, but really, if you are going that far to imitate women’s underwear, why not go all the way? I know there are good reasons for this compromise, as women’s underwear is obviously not designed for the female form, but I just feel that lace men’s undergarments is just too feminine.

HornySimon: Its not to feminine. Lace can be a men’s thing too when the design of the underwear still looks like a mens thing. That’s why I have black lace

JIM: I definitely fall into the category that thinks it’s too feminie. I like men to be men (even if they are gay).

Are men’s lace underwear often confused as women’s underwear? Or people think the guy likes to wear women’s underwear

Tim3lordDavid: I feel that men’s lace underwear is often confused for women’s underwear, the reason I think that this happens is because the social standards depict that anyone who wears lace should be a woman, cross dresser, or gay. Having too take into consideration that not everyone is as open minded as I would have hoped. The thought that some guys like to wear women’s underwear is not exactly a false one, However, yes…some men do wear ladies underwear. Just because a man likes lace underwear doesn’t mean anything about his character.

UnderwearDude: Considering that most likely the average woman would confuse more than half of my collection as women’s wear at first glance makes this a definite yes.

HornySimon: Some people confused it. They think I have women underwear fetish at first sight. But when I explain that my lace underwear are a men’s brand they understand and think its sexy and fun. Girls are dated find it very hot and sexy. Some dislike and think lace is just a women thing.

JIM: I think it is definitely possible to confuse lace mens underwear for ladies lingerie. I know if I opened up a dresser drawer and saw lacey things I would immediately think they belonged to the lady of the house.

Do you guys think sexual orientation plays into if you will like or dislike lace underwear? Why do you think this way?

Tim3lordDavid: I don’t think that anyone’s orientation, sexual or otherwise, has anything influence on the style or taste in a persons underwear. I feel this way because, as a Bisexual man the only thing that is affected by my orientation is the time it takes me too pick out underwear. What can I say, before I had my lovely wife too help me pick out undies…I would spend like half an hour just looking at the men on the packages. Hahaha. So, again. No I find it truly hard too believe that ones sexual orientation has anything too do with if you like lace or not.

UnderwearDude: I do think that sexual orientation plays into peoples opinion of lace underwear, to a degree. The gay community, as far as I have seen, is far more open to new and different underwear choices than the straight one. The only straight guys I could see wearing this are those who have a fetish for wearing women’s underwear.

HornySimon: No I thinks its just a open minded things. For men and women. If you are open engouth try it, like I did

JIM: In today’s more open society I don’t think it matters. As a white collar professional I like wearing unexpectedly revealing things under my business-casual office attire. There’s a little wink-wink to it. Doesn’t matter – gay or straight – the mystery of “I know something you don’t know” is kinda awesome

How would your partner or potential partners react to you wearing lace?

Tim3lordDavid: My wife is actually so supportive with me wearing lace that she helps me pick out lace.

UnderwearDude: I highly doubt many women like seeing their man in lace. I would expect a hearty laugh, or a demand to take them off.

HornySimon: At first it was my girlfriend who told me to try lace. In general girls find it very hot and sexy. I can say lace is a turn on for some girls

JIM: I actually asked… The answer I got was “Its too girly! I want a man. Not a girl with outdoor plumbing”

Do you guys think Lace will move out of the more fetish side of the market and more into the main stream? Why or Why Not?

Tim3lordDavid: I feel with the rate of people becoming more accepting of equal rights all around (race, gender, orientation, etc). With this acceptance on the rise I feel any man in the next few years at least, will be able too walk into a store and buy lace underwear with their partner. This is the idea, that buying lace underwear in the future will not be looked upon with shame or disgust for men but like nothing, like buying a candy bar.

UnderwearDude: I really don’t think so, due to topics above such as femininity, sexual orientation of wearers, and the long held ideal of women=lace. Perhaps someday, but not soon. I’m not saying it’s impossible, just highly improbable.

HornySimon: Yes it will when more guys will ask for lace and won’t afraid to wear it.

JIM: Yes. As things get more open in our society more and more men will become more and more comfortable with wearing something a little crazy underneath. Just because its a base layer doesn’t mean it has to be boring. I see lace as the next trend. With any trend though the question is how long will it last? Only time will tell on that question.

I want to thank the guys who participated in this post. We are going to have more guys talk about issues on underwear so stay tuned. If you want to join in on the conversation let us know!

Show of hands who here loves great colors? Who here loves great prints? Who here loves matching tanks and underwear? Who here loves bright fun swimwear? Who here loves bright work out wear?  If you answered yes to any of those questions the new JOR collection is for you!

JOR is known for their amazing use of colors. It’s not just solid bright colors but prints as well. Each collection they come out with funs prints in both underwear and swimwear. They have a really amazing collection this year. We are going to show you a few pairs we think you guys need to get now!

Rally Collection – Sports mesh underwear is always some of the most comfortable undies. Well I think so. The Rally collection is a sports mesh of a boxer, brief, jock and thong. The entire line is awesome but the jockstrap is my favorite. Below we have all the styles in the line. Available in white, grey and black.

Mirror Collection – Just like a real mirror. The Mirror collection is a shiny nylon/spandex fabric. I don’t think you have to have all cotton and matte underwear. There are times you what to show off what you are wearing. A shiny fabric like the Mirror collection is awesome. They selected a black, white and blue. While the black is classic the blue really pops to me. My favorite in this line is the brief design. It’s low cut with contrasting trim. This line has a boxer, brief, jock and thong.

Lines Collection – Lines is a bit more conservative for JOR. They are known for doing mesh, bright colors. This is a more subtle for JOR. I am not say by any means this is a conservative pair. Stripes can be sometimes very boring. This definitely is not. The color combinations they use really stand out. The red is my favorite with red, pink and white stripes. It’s just fun! The styles in this collection are boxer and brief.

Tiger Collection – JOR has for the last few collections had lines that consists of a boxer, brief, jock, thong, tank and swim trunk and swim brief. It may sound like it would be over the top. These collections have been some of the best in the entire line. One thing I like best is the swimwear is not matchy matchy with the underwear. It’s similar but not the same.  Each one of these deserves a feature but I chose the Tiger.  Other lines with matching tanks are Animal, True Love, Picasso and Zebra

Monaco Swim Briefs – The Monaco series has one thing I love in swimwear. That is different colors than what is expected. This lines has a green and pink. The pink is awesome. The cut is a full swim brief that JOR is known for designing. These both will look amazing on the beach this year!

Vallarta Swim Briefs – Last collection they had flamingos and this time the Vallarta has the bright color print! The print seems to definitely be tropical inspired. The print is a leaf print which by itself has a hint of pink and yellow. Pari that with the pink in the front and you will stand out on the beach!

Runners – Runners are one of the biggest trends in men’s workout wear. JOR put their bright spin on runners. Last collection they had shorts and runners in solid colors. This collection they have two runners. One is a bright blue with a white stripe and the other is a black with yellow stripe. The waist band on the blue pair is a bright yellow. This will make the pair stand out and pop. If you don’t want to draw attention to yourself choose the black! The blue will get some looks!

Player Shorts – JOR has expanded their work out/active wear. These are shorter shorts. Not super booty shorts but form fitting and could be worn to the gym our as a cover up on the beach. The shiny nylon fabric and draw string waist really stand out. Pair that with the logo on the left leg. It really reminds of me of a retro pair of gym shorts. Ones you would see in the 70’s or early 80’s. Just available in blue or black.

This is just a few of the pairs I think you guys should know! There are several more you need to check out. See the collection on GDD World site or shop for it on Candyman Fashion site.

lettingit goPart 2A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the struggle I was having with getting rid of undies that I no longer wear.  I had gotten as far as sorting out the ones I wanted to keep and those I needed to toss.  That was it.  I just couldn’t do it.

Fast forward to tonight and I’ve actually made some progress.  I managed to get rid of about 50 pairs.  Gave them to two fellow underwear lovers who are a little but younger than I am  (damn millennials) and don’t have as much disposable income to buy all the underwear they’d like.  I consider it a charitable donation.   Too bad I can’t right that off on my taxes.

This purging of my collection gave me the chance to take an inventory of what I have.  I thought the amount that I got rid would make a sizable dent and free up googobs of drawer space; I seem to be wrong.  Today’s underwear count is as follows: 39 thongs, 40 jocks, 45 bikinis, 53 briefs.  177 pairs of underwear.

Add in the days where I go commando and I could go over 6 months without wearing the same pair.  That’s just cray-cray.  No one needs that much underwear.  But I guarantee you that in the not too distant future I will get the itch and find something new to buy.  Damn underwear sales.  They get me every time.  Besides, can you really have too much underwear?

AustralianI really appreciate this you are one of my favorite models right now in the world of underwear. I think you will continue to grow in your career. Here are the questions:

Thanks for taking time to answer a few questions. You are blowing up on social media and we wanted to let our readers get to know you better. I was looking through some of our photo archives and found a shoot you did with Flash Avenue a few years ago. You have really done some awesome pictures.

You have an amazing look and are gaining a following, what made you want to pursue modeling? What was your first job?
Thanks, that’s very kind of you to say. I first started modelling when I was a college/university student back in Texas. One of my friends had gotten a job to walk in a local menswear show and asked me to come along. It started as just an easy way to make some extra money in between classes.

AlexWightman_1

Looking back on your modeling career, what shoot do you consider your breakthrough in your career?
There have been two moments. The first was when I was living in Hong Kong and got my first print editorial. It was for a magazine called MrMr and was designed around this great snakeskin Vivienne Westwood suit. That really raised my profile over there. The second moment was here in London about three years ago when I first shot with Kadmil – a Serbian photographer who has done some of my favourite images. Two of the images ended up on covers which again raised my profile here and really set me on the path I’m on now.

You have shot for AMU and Flash Avenue Studios a lot recently. Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?
I had the pleasure to work a lot with Flash Avenue this past year. My favourite shoot with them would have to be my very first one. Firstly it was with a group of great guys – it’s always a bit more fun when you’re not alone – and secondly the sets were very cool. The one that sticks out in my mind was a huge white block with a circle cut out of the middle. We all took turns posing inside the circle and it ended up looking almost acrobatic. The background was a hot pink gel, the circle was white and we were in black Marco Marco underwear. It looked really cool.

IMG_0402

Speaking of Flash Avenue Studios. This year you have a calendar coming out for 2016. Tell us about the calendar and what we can expect?
Yes, the calendar is actually available for pre-sale right now (www.flashavenuestudio.com/shop). It will be shipped at the beginning of December but all the images have been taken and I’m very happy with it. It’s a compilation of some of the most popular images I have done with Flash Avenue over the last six months.  In addition to several new ones that are exclusive to the Calendar.

Part of the proceeds go to charity. What charity did you choose and why?
Yes part of the proceeds will be donated to BLISS, which is a UK charity associated with premature birth; I chose that charity because I was born twelve weeks prematurely – I was tiny at only 3 pounds 15 ounces. I had to spend over a month in the intensive care.  In fact that white mark you can sometimes see on my chest is a result of a heart monitor that was placed on me while I was in there.

All shoots are different but have you ever had a challenging shoot? If so why was it challenging?
Oh yes I have a few. The ones that have been most challenging were because of the cold and weather. It’s just not fun to pose outside in underwear/swimwear when it is cold. But living in Northern Europe like we do sometimes you have to do it. The one I remember most vividly was a shoot I did in Berlin with Tim Mueller. He had secured the top of one Berlin’s tallest buildings as the shoot site. It was October and while it was a beautiful crystal clear blue sky day, it was only a few degrees – and really windy. There were five of us on that shoot. I can remember all of us sitting huddled under a few blankets waiting to be called out one at a time to shoot the set. The look on the face of the guy who was called as he had to throw off the blankets and face the wind was priceless. I’ve never been so cold in my life but in retrospect it was actually funny – and the photos were amazing.

As we have said, you have worked a lot with Flash Avenue Studios and AMU. Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?
Many. There are so many photographers all over the world that I would love to get to work with. Rick Day, Wong Sim, Bruce Webber, Marco Ovando… the list goes on. Most of the time distance is the limiting factor since I’m based here in London. I travel a lot and try and make people aware when I’m going to be somewhere but there never seems to be enough time!

When you are not in front of the camera looking great in AMU underwear, what do you do in your spare time?
I’m religious about the gym and going on my runs. I’ve always liked fitness which is part of the reason I’ve been able to do this job. I can cook too. Other than that it’s spending time with my partner and relaxing. I read a lot and I love a good TV series.

Working out and looking great is important for modeling underwear. Is there any specific kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?
For shoot prep I tend to limit carb intake the day before and cut out water from midnight the day of a shoot. I’m not too fussy about it though as I’ve never had a particularly ‘dry’ looking physique and it hasn’t hurt me thus far. I find that its general consistency with exercise and diet that will get you to where you want to be on shoot day.

Marco_Marco

Before modeling underwear did you like great underwear before shooting it?
I’ve always been a fan of underwear. I can remember growing up in Texas. The first time I tried on a pair of coloured briefs – they were red 2xist and what a revelation!

Being an underwear blog we must ask what makes up your underwear drawer?
20% Boxers, 60% Briefs, 20% jocks, thongs and other miscellaneous.

AMU underwear has shot you in mesh but what is the craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn for a shoot?
That would have to be another AMU pair. It was actually just a pouch that hung in front with a waist band.  There was no connector or anything that went under and around. We had a fun time figuring out how to wear those properly but we got there in the end.

Pong_NoLogo

When your name is mentioned more people know who you are how are you adjusting to the fame in the underwear world? When we Tweet about you people love your pics.
It’s very flattering and I always appreciate the support and messages I get from people. I’m just happy that there’s a group of people who enjoy my work and what I’m doing – I certainly am enjoying myself.

As you progress in your career what are your goals for your career modeling and beyond?
I’d love to have a long career. That’s the ultimate goal for any model since age limits how long it can be. Men have a bit of an easier time of it but that’s only if you can transition into the hot Dad/businessman look. I think it’s inevitable that the underwear jobs will eventually dry up and that’s ok. I’ll keep taking them until they do and after that do my best to look sexy and intriguing with clothes on!

What advice were you giving starting out that you can pass along to aspiring models?
Show up and be on time. If you’re professional it goes a long way. I’m amazed at how doing something that simple can really set you apart – but it does.

Thanks Andrew for taking the time to answer our questions. We look forward to seeing you very soon in new shoots!

Some underwear can be an adjustment to get used to. The first time I tried a thong I was not convinced. So it took a few more times before I realized how fun and great they could be. I believe the same could be true for this unique pair of Body Aware briefs as well. Most traditionally aligned with a bikini cut Body Aware makes its mark with an unexpected twist of a “string” waist band. Instead of the most traditional elastic ½” band that we’re all fairly used to.

However, it is those strings that will take me a few tries to get comfortable with. Their support is fine, they hold up and hold in but it is the look it that plays with my mind. Perhaps if I have a better “V” then it would be different because I could see it being very sexy on someone. The little ‘windows’ created by the combo of the strings and the bikini cut will just take some getting used to.

All that being said, the pair is moderately comfortable. The nylon feels great on the bum as it gives a very smooth, very silky feel that is always welcome on the rear. The pouch is similar, very smooth. It is a much defined pouch, as one would expect, and given the windows the bulge definitely stands out.

So, if you want a fun and unique pair that might take a time or two to get used too then this is the pair for you. It is fun, it really is. The colors are vibrant and flashy. The cut is one of a kind. The fit is good.

Pros: Fun colors, very comfortable fabric, flashy and fun.

Cons: Slightly odd string band, slits that could take time to get used to

Beau Briefs recommendation: These are an interesting pair that one will either really love or be on the fence about.

Review (1)

For my third review, I wore the Clever Custok Latin Brief in blue.  I own a thong by Clever that I love so I was optimistic going into this review from the start.  The pair comes in three colors (Blue, Gray & Green) and retails for $28.48 on the Clever website.

The mesh-like fabric felt sporty and sexy so I wore these on a long day that would really test them.  When I put them on that morning the first thing I noticed was the great color(s).  While mainly blue, there is a gray pouch. The red waistband with yellow/gold lettering and fun, contrast stitching.   After a long work day at the office, I ran some errands around town and even went for a jog.  These briefs really got a workout and held up great!  I forgot I was wearing them for the most part, which for me is a sign you’re wearing a great pair of underwear.

When it comes to sizing, these do run a bit small as their own sizing chart indicates.  So there shouldn’t be any surprises.  The medium fits a 30-32 waist and being a 31-32, they worked for me but certainly didn’t leave much extra room.  If you’re on the larger end of your size spectrum, you might go up one size.

The fabric is 73% nylon and 27% spandex.  Which gives this pair great stretch. With a cut that definitely shows you off the perfect amount and offers great support.  The seam going up the back defines your butt which is a blessing for those of us that can use all the help we can get!  The bright colors were in an unusual combination that made me love them even more.  Definitely not your typical briefs.

PROS

  • Colors
  • Great fabric
  • Sexy but practical cut/style

CONS

  • Fit may be a bit small for guys who are super well endowed in the front or back
  • Not inexpensive (but typical for designer underwear)

RATINGS

  • Daily Fit – 10
  • Sizing – 8
  • Construction – 10
  • Styling – 10
  • Daily Performance – 10
  • Overall – 9.6

Pikante (1)

Pikante is a brand that always has some interesting styles and prints. This collection is no different. It consists of some very sexy cuts, great prints and bright colors. I you are brand new to Picante a few things you need to know. Some of the styles can be very provocative! They aren’t afraid to use mesh that shows it all off! Lastly, its about fun with the brand. You can wear it to a date night or under a suit.

We are going to profile a few of the pairs that we really like!

Pikante PIK 8398 Nozomi Boxer – Black or Green

This pair is great for a trunk fan! The print is something different and not one you would really see in the world of underwear. Its available in black and green. The small waistband elastic forms a supportive pouch and it contains a full back. They used this print in a few different styles! The boxer is $24.48 at Candyman Fashion

PIK 8665 Argot Briefs – Black or Green

Picante always has mesh in the collection. Its the kind of mesh that leaves very little to the imagination. The new Argot Briefs at first glance isn’t totally see through but it’s not going to hide much either. This can be a good thing depending on where you wear it. The pair has a bikini cut with white trim in both colors. The front does have a pouch that will show off what you have under jeans or pants. My personal favorite is the green. It’s because it’s a different color than we are used to in underwear. The Argot Briefs retails for $20.48 at Candyman Fashions

Pikante PIK 9244 Teyotl Jockstrap Thong – Black or Blue

Pikante is no stranger to the hybrid pair. In the last few years more and more brands are making them. Picante is releasing the Jock Thong in these prints. You maybe asking what is a jock thong? Its what you see above. From the front it looks just like a jock but from the back it has leg straps of a jock and the center strap from a thong. This is the other print they are using this season. Its very low key. The black has the black waistband and the blue has the white. The Peyotl Jockstrap Thong is $25.48 at Candyman Fashion.

These are just three styles in the new Picante. See the entire new collection at the GDD World Picante 2015-2 Page. You can shop at Candyman Fashion! See our post earlier for sale information!

maze

We have quite a few fans of Male Power. They are a company that creates super sexy underwear. Some of their pairs are dare to bare! But that is not the case with the new Maze line. The the thong is as wild as this collection gets! The print is pretty fun!  Here is what they tell us about the collection.

The Maze is designed to amaze. Crafted from an entangled fabric with a bold, black and white print, it is distinctive, figure enhancing and eye catching. Just as importantly, it is created to be soft and pliable for cushiony comfort, and the natural pouch provides ample support. IMG_7126So I recently decided that it was time to scale back my underwear collection.  Gasp, yes I actually said that out loud.  Not to say I have a problem getting rid of them, but I do have a few pairs that I graduated from college with me a couple of decades ago.  The thing is, my tastes in underwear have evolved over the years.  I used to wear strictly briefs.  That was my thing.  I gradually added a few jocks here or there but only wore them for “special occasions”.  That worked for me for years and years.

Then I started to branch out and tried some skimpier bikinis.  What had I been missing all that time?  I was hooked.  So all those briefs went into hiding in my dresser and storage box in the closet.  In the last two years I have really started to enjoy wearing thongs as well.  So my beloved briefs began to gather dust.  About a year ago I decided it was time to purge the collection of the ones that I never wear anymore.  Some just didn’t float my boat anymore, others don’t fit as well (damn this aging thing).

I had a moment of silence as I began to sort through them, the pile of unwanted undies growing ever larger.  Was I really about to throw out so many pairs that had stood the test of time?  I had a hamper full of underwear to go through.  In the end they all went right back where they came from in the dresser and storage boxes.   The best laid plans and all that jazz went right out the window.

Fast forward a year.  I’m moving into a new home soon and have been purging all sorts of things from my current home.  Things that have been in closets since I moved here 4 years ago.  So it only seems natural that I revisit the idea of slimming down my underwear collection.  Realistically, I probably wear about a fourth  of them regularly.

Again I find myself in a dilemma.  What do I do?  I’ve gotten as far as separating the ones I know I want to keep and the ones that no longer fit.  There’s an entire drawer full of underwear that I should part with but am still on the fence about.  Every day I pull a pair or two out and either put it in the keep pile or throw it in the to-go box.  Every time I put another pair in that box I feel a little sad.  It’s like I’m saying goodbye to long time friends.  But hey, I’ve made lots of new “friends” lately and, since I clearly have an obsession, will be making plenty more in the future.  Out with the old and in with the new.   There’s got to be a therapy group for this somewhere.
