VicedMan Underwear the Interview!

mike-vicedmancandyI am excited to bring you this interview with VicedMAN. I got a chance to meet Victor in Vegas and talk about his brand for a bit. I was a little bummed that I couldn’t go to his fashion show. I had previous plans and couldn’t change them. So hopefully next time I can go to the show!

We sent questions over to Victor and he commented that they were “very good but tough questions.”  Which I think isIMG_2049 a good thing. Its good for you guys to get to know the brand. For our readers that aren’t familiar with VicedMAN can you tell them about the brand?

Viced MAN was created for those guys who look for interesting designs, comfort they can feel while wearing them, quality they can value and prices they can afford. The image of Viced MAN represents guys who are not afraid to be daring, sexy and at the same time elegant. Guys also want to be sexy, desired and in control. Wearing a Viced Man will make you feel naughty, sexy, and on the edge of being unique.Viced MAN provides a sexy addiction of yourself.

What made you start VicedMAN?

I wanted to start Viced MAN because i could see that guys are looking for new things in their underwear, something provocative but yet elegant that inspires guys to be who they are and who they want to be. Iced Man provides just that, sexy look, elegancy with a touch of uniqueness. I always had a dream of making underwear because a simple underwear can define who you are.

What are some of your current best sellers?

One of my best sellers is my Candy Collection, its a teasing underwear because of its sexiness, with little left to imagination. Its mesh fabric that creates the amazing look and illusion of being naked. One its best features is the ability to glow in the dark, which fans really love. Comfort is at its most, with soft layers, that won’t scratch you skin at all.

You will be releasing a singlet very soon, can you tell us about it?

Im super excited to release the singlet collection. This design is more conventional to the traditional guy that want something different and not so revealing. This is the first phase of the singlet collection. More will be released as the year goes on. This singlet provides a lower cut in the front to give it a better edgy look and quality.This singlet has been created based on the feedback from my fans, they wanted something sexy, with mesh, with elegancy and creativeness.

What is the best thing about designing underwear?

The best thing about designing underwear is the wonderful warm feeling of having an image in your mind and making it real, something tangible you can touch and feel, and overall that your fans will love and go crazy for. It is not an easy task, takes many months to designs and finally implement. I try to obtain new underwear based on fan feedback, something they want and have not had. Fans hate untasteful clothing. Therefore, i create surveys to better understand my fans and based on that i create a new collection.

You were part of Las Vegas Fashion week, how did the show go?

Fashion Week was a great event. I was so nervous, since i had to walk on the runway as well, my first time doing it. It was a great success and many great feedback was received from the public, models and other designers. Meeting other designers many me feel that my dream is now coming true. Seeing the models walk down the runway with loud music made me realized that this is who i am, where i belong and don’t want to go anywhere else.Dream can become true only if you work really hard at them and give your commitment and dedication to them.

What can we expect from the future from VicedMAN?

You can expect man more things from Viced MAN, crossing borders internationally and many more products to come. Viced MAN will go to be the official underwear of choice. Everything will evolve based an fan feedback because they are who make this brand, they drive the company i am just at the steering wheel.

While in Vegas I got to see a lot of the new Timoteo that is coming out over the next few weeks. The Cellblock I always love because its just fun. You can express yourself at work or anywhere by wearing it.

The Alpha collection is like a redo of some of their best pairs. They took the designs of those pairs and added some high quality sports mesh. The mesh not only feels great but breathes will you all day, or in this case call night. Th colors of the collection are a black body with either blue or red accents. Each pair has these color combinations. The last feature to point out is the racing stripe on all the pouches. Each pouch has a white racing stripe down the center. What is a Bikini Brief?

csx_grey6Several weeks ago, UNB Tim asked me to select the top 5 bikinis.

While researching the available pairs, I noticed that some pairs I consider to be a bikini style are called a brief by the brand. That got me thinking about what makes a particular pair a bikini vs. a brief. I engaged my Twitter followers to give me their opinions and tried to get input from various brands as well. Here’s what they had to say:

@UNBKyle – I think bikinis have a slimmer side. Just like how trunks are usually shorter than boxer briefs in the legs, bikinis are smaller and shorter on the sides than regular briefs.

@In2yourbriefs – Briefs are more full, more material where bikinis are very thin sides, small cut on the bum.

@Bikiniboiatl – Bikinis have at a 3” lower rise than full briefs and 2” lower rise than low rise briefs.

@Undyguy79 – Bikinis have a higher cut in the front leg and are smaller around the package. They often don’t have a separate waistband. Plus the distance between the leg hole and waist is smaller.

@Underweardude – I’d say the major difference is that the bikini is higher cut around the legs, and possibly a smaller read, both to varying degrees. Some modern low rise briefs might be called a bikini by someone who only wears the classic kind of briefs.

@underwearCEO – A bikini is a more petite version of a brief. Thinner on the side and not a full sear on the rear!

@cambiocalzones – I think bikinis are narrow at the sides and back the waistband is smaller too and they don’t have any kind of fly.

@UndieLvr – For me bikinis are similar to briefs but much thinner than your average brief. You can have bikinis from possibly an inch on the sides down to a side string (the thinner the sexier). To me briefs are your typical full brief and I’m not much a fan because they tend to not flatter a person’s shape the way a bikini 5186-1would.

@Jockey292 – Bikinis have sides of an inch or less, or just a waistband with a pouch and back.

@N2NBodywear – Bikini 1” sides, Brief 3” or more.

Almost everyone uses the height of the sides to distinguish a bikini from a brief. But is this enough? Bikinis are a version of a brief and are typically smaller as most of my Twitter followers alluded to; however, I think there’s more to the distinction. Here are the criteria I use:

  • Briefs often have flies. Bikinis do not.
  • Briefs have formal elastic waistband (often advertising the brand name) that often stick out from the rest of the pair.. Bikinis do not; their waistbands are more subtle and blend in.
  • Briefs usually provide more coverage all around. Bikinis tend to be smaller and skimpier, but can also have a fuller cut.

In my opinion, the top two criteria are the most important and the third is more of a guideline.

If you have any knowledge of the underwear world, my next model is no stranger to your eyes.  I had the privilege of chatting with Andrew Christian’s well known model Cory Zwierzynski.  He shared some of his best and funniest moments with us, his appreciation for where he’s been, and his hopes for where he goes moving forward.

UNB Kyle:  Thank you for taking the time to chat with me Cory.  We know you well from your current days with Andrew Christian.  Before that, what was your first modeling gig and how did you come to get it?

Cory:  My first modeling gig was with Abercrombie. I received that opportunity from being discovered by working at one of the retail stores.1969_6168_3__1

Kyle:  That sounds like a great part time job, probably when you were in school, that really paved the way for your future.  What made you want to pursue modeling?

Cory:  When I was growing up, people would always say you should model. So after awhile I decided to get into it.

Kyle:  It probably makes you think a little more about it after so many people comment on the potential you have.  True, raw talent that was found.  Which shoot do you consider your breakthrough in your career?

Cory:  The shoot that jump started my career would have to be the one for Andrew Christian.

Kyle:  It seems like Andrew Christian has been good to you.  You have quite a portfolio with them and even get to shoot all of those videos with them.  Really expands your ability and exposure in front of the camera.  Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

Cory:  My favorite shoot was the Abercrombie shoot.  I feel that it is my favorite because I had the opportunity to meet so many interesting people from all around the world.  It really opened my eyes to what this world was about and how much it could bring me.  

Kyle:  Abercrombie was always very big and a catalog that set itself apart from its competitors.  Similar to how I feel with you at Andrew Christian.  They have some advertising and models that set them apart from the norm which is great.  Which shoot has been your most challenging and why do you feel that way?

cory_zwierzynski_15Cory:  My most challenging shoot was my first underwear shoot with Andrew Christian. Only because I never shot in just my underwear before. So I was extremely nervous but I had to pull through it.

Kyle:  I can imagine how nervous I would be.  To you it is a new experience and to everyone else there it is another day at the office.  What went through your mind right before you had to do these revealing shoots?

Cory:  “Let’s see, do I need to fluff?”

Kyle:  HAHA!  That is hysterical!  Well take it from us, you look fantastic!  Apart from your work with Andrew Christian, are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?

Cory:  I would love to work for some high fashion brands such as Versace, Gucci, or Armani.

Kyle:  We hope to see you get that opportunity.  In one way, you have put it all out there in front of the camera.  What is something that your fans don’t know about Cory outside of modeling that you want them to know?

Cory:  I’m actually a very shy person. Some people often mistake it for arrogance.  andrew_christian_black_white_screen_grab_18_

Kyle:  We wouldn’t guess you are shy after seeing your work in front of the camera.  Your body is incredible.  What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

Cory:  I try to stick to skinless boneless chicken breasts and vegetables. For exercise, I usually lift weights to prepare for a shoot.

Kyle:  Chicken and vegetables is very healthy but I know you have a desire for something else at some point.  So how about it? Favorite cheat meal?

Cory:  Anything fried!  Plus some chocolate chip cookies.  

Kyle:  Well hopefully those treats aren’t few and far between.  So since you model a lot of underwear and we are an underwear blog, let’s see what your personal tastes are.  Take a peek at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of? % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

Cory:  My underwear drawers. Yes, drawers, because I have that many pairs. They all consist of briefs.

Cory:  The craziest pair I ever wore was a pair called the peek a boo brief where the front side lifts up and shows your manhood lol.

Kyle:  Yes I am familiar with that pair.  I own it haha!  What are your goals for your career?

Cory:  My goals in my career would have to be getting more modeling opportunities, meeting more photographers, and designers.  

Kyle:  I can’t wait to see where your career takes you.  I hope you continue to expand that portfolio and get all of the opportunities you are looking for.  Finally, what is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

Cory:  Do not be nervous. You can do anything you put your mind to.

If you see a guy walking down the beach and see a leopard print you are going to sit up and take notice. How many of us are brave enough to let the wild side out? I’m willing to bet more than a few of you. So, if you wear animal print you will command attention at the beach or pool and I think most of you prefer it.

aussieBum released the new Animal Instinct. Which is a set of briefs and turns in three different animal print. Those prints are Chetah, Giraffe and Tiger. Each one designed for aussieBum. The Hipster/trunk they have listed is a tiger print. Here is what aussieBum says:

I think these are super hot! I love the cut and the prints. Would I wear one on the beach I just may! Why not, I mean if you wear a swim brief wear something to get noticed and not blend in! I think that aussieBum has out done it self with this line. They have been a brand of super fun gear and this just takes it to the next level!

The pairs are made out of 90% Polyamide, 10% Elastane. The instructions say hand wash rather than machine wash. Each swim brief is available for $34.33 from the aussieBum site.

If you’re going to look for something fun then I think you should look no farther than this range. I think its’ some of the best swimwear I have seen this season. I know that there are tons more pairs coming this summer! Stay tuned for more great swimwear from aussieBum!
