It’s Halloween! Who out there is wearing underwear as part of their costume? Maybe, you are wearing some of the Candyman Fashion costumes? They are worn often on Halloween! We hope you have a fun Halloween!
When we mention Candyman what comes to mind? Is it bright colors, lace, sexy costume and over the top designs? If you said any of those we couldn’t agree more. The brand has a wilder design than other brands out there. They are often known for using lace fabrics and skimpy thong cuts.
What would happen if they released a swimwear line? Well they just did. This is the first time that I recall them doing swimwear. So what would you expect from the line? If you said lace, sorry not in the swimwear. If you said bright colors, YES of course those are included, If you said sexy cuts, that’s another yes. But sadly no thongs fro swim!
We group them in traditional, wild cuts and fun prints. In total there are 14 pairs of swimwear released from them. Let’s start out on the traditional cuts.
Candyman Summer Swim Briefs 99207 – Show your patriotism in this pair. It’s flag inspired but without the literal interpretation of the flag. The right side is red/white stripes and the left and back are solid blue. The waistband is red and the stitching in the leg is also red.
Candyman 99212 Swim Brief – Looking for something classic with a bit of a spin? This pair is available in three colors: blue, green and pink. It has a belt in the front that gives it a 1950’s feel to me. Something that more classic. The colors are anything but classic. The green and pink will draw attention.
Candyman Mix Color block Swim Trunk 99220 – If you’re not a fan of a brief but want a trunk. This is the pair for you. Where the pair above has a more classic feel, this has a model classic feel. Two tone color block in a longer cut.
Sexy Cuts are standard with Candyman. This includes the swimwear.
Candyman 99214 Swim Briefs – This is a pair with a cut out on the right hip with three straps. It reminds me of several pairs they have had over the years in underwear. They featured a similar design. It’s just available in black. It shows skin but not enough to get you in trouble.
Candyman 99216 Swim Briefs Color – Let’s say you want to show off the back more than the front. That is if you have some junk in the trunk. This pair of Candyman has a swoop deign in the pack with a few straps to show off the top of your bum. The ring in the center creates an interesting design that will draw attention.
Prints are not something Candyman has done a lot with, however this collection it has a lot more in underwear and swimwear.
Candyman 99210 Swim Brief – It doesn’t have an official name but it’s a snake print. The pouch is made out of a black snake skin print that isn’t over the top. It also has two snake skin stripes to accent the pouch. Its a black print on black spandex. You won’t be rocking blatant snake print but people close to you will be able to see what it is.
Candyman 99218 Swim Trunks – Looking to go for the gold? this black and gold trunks is for you. They have an interesting design but not sure its snake print. Its definitely different from the rest. This would be perfect for Miami or other tropical destination.
Candyman 99219 Swim Trunks – Bright tropical prints are made for swimwear. This print is if you took a tropical designation at sun set and made it into a print. Its something different than I have seen in swimwear. I’m on the fence with it for me personally but I can see it being a popular suit for them.
Candyman Mix Color block Swim Trunk 99220 – If you like the traditional cut of the trunk mentioned above, but want something a bit bolder? This suit has a floral and flamingo print. Its very “Brady Bunch” to me. This will sell some of you and make others go running off! I think it’s super fun.
Candyman 99223 Swim Briefs – Animal prints have been big in swimwear for a few years. This pair is a solid blue front and a leopard face in the back. It’s something very different and that Candyman put their own spin on it. The colors and print are definitely for a tropical local.
Candyman 99224 Swim Trunks – If like the pair above but want the cat print in a trunk. Candyman has you covered. This trunk has cat faces on both sides and a solid black background. Its’ a really fun print for the summer.
Candyman 99225 Swim Briefs Swim Briefs – Looking for something to let your inner wolf out? This pair is it. It has an almost string bikini cut with a wolf print on the back. The back looks to be 3/4 back. Meaning it won’t offer full coverage like the other briefs.

SALVATORE Recommendation: CandyMan Fashion contacted UNB Tim a while ago and asked the team to review CLEVER’s Spring line. Because the entire team loves undies, he agreed and sent out pairs for review. I recently wrote a post about mesh underwear, how to select great pairs, and what types of mesh to wear for different occasions.
I was elated when the pair selected for me to review was the MESH Flowery Touch Cheeky Brief! The mesh was not the only reason I got excited as I tore open the mailer. There were two other reasons: 1.) This brief has an awesome pattern (super manly) and 2.) It has an anatomical pouch. This brief is truly the collision of three utopic components to the perfect pair of underwear: MESH, PATTERN (instead of plain color), and ANATOMICAL POUCH! Perfection at its finest!
Mesh is so tricky in men’s underwear. There is the super wide hole mesh that is more for fetish wear (totally not me, but check out TTHEAMAZING’s Fetish Friday Column. I’m sure he will work in mesh at some point). Then there is the pragmatic mesh that can be worn for a myriad of event types. This brief is definitely practical in the mesh category. I wore the pair on three different occassions:
- All day in jeans: I made it through the day wearing the brief under jeans. Mesh is hard to wear under jeans because the glans penis (head or tip of the penis) has very sensitive nerve endings that often poke through the mesh and rub on the denim. Not always uncomfortable—sometimes stimulating and often times irritating. This didn’t begin to bother until around dinnertime. I equate this to great construction and careful design implementation seen in CLEVER’s delivery of quality underwear.
- To bed: What can I say? I felt sexy sleeping in mesh and even sexier knowing that I was wearing a very awesome pattern. I had no issues whatsoever feeling constricted in the crotch throughout the night. Very very good experience.
- At the gym during workout: I’d say that this is the bread and butter of this brief. The fact that the mesh is cool and breezy and the anatomical pouch is very supporting allowed me to have free range of motion in a very well constructed brief.
I’m definitely a pouch snob. Read this and you’ll understand why. My underwear collection is almost exclusively ergonomical in pouch nature. I’ve never worn CLEVER before. This made me nervous about whether the pouch on this brief would actually turn out to be anatomical. The first thing I did when I slipped them on was take notice of the inner sewn elastic that separates the body of the brief from the pouch. I relaxed and realized that CLEVER had me in mind when they made this brief.
The construction on the brief is top notch. The pattern is super man-sexy. There is a center line going up the butt area to give you an added lift. An incredibly soft metallic gold waistband accentuates the design. The sizing was spot on for what was advertised. What else can a man ask for? NOTHING!
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX RECOMMENDATION: My wife actually came up with the idea that this brief could be worn as a swim brief if you got in a bind. The great pattern is not completely transparent and leaves enough to the imagination to make most people salivate. The lightweight mesh dries very quickly when wet and the overall construction is solid. We’re moving to Hawaii in the next couple of months. Who knows, maybe I’ll wear them surfing some day soon. We hope you have a fun and sexy Halloween. We wonder how many of you out there incorporated underwear into you costume. Like this Capitan costume from Candyman!
CandyMan has always been a company that had intrigued me. They are never shy about pushing the limits when it comes to new cuts, styles and fabrics. Some people might say that can take it a bit too far sometimes. If you are one of those skeptics, don’t count this brand out so quickly.
I had the opportunity to review the Modern Varsity Brief in blue size medium. This pair was furnished by Macondo Trading. I have to say I was happy this pair got sent my way. This is not your typical brief, but if you are looking for a pair of undies that are sexy yet comfortable. These are worth the look. From the clean cut waistband to the contrasting florescent piping around the legs to the little cut outs on either side of the pouch. CandyMan cut no corners when it comes to details with these briefs.
These briefs are made from 96% Nylon and 4% elastane Sheer stretch mesh which is completely see through. It has a great wide elastic logo waistband that has a metallic silver look to it. I love a good pair of mesh undies. I think they are something sexy for sure. What I like about these is they are comfortable to wear as well as sexy. These will not leave anything up to the imagination. The front pouch is very roomy and keeps everything in place like a good brief should do. The cut-outs on either side of the pouch add for a little extra stretch in the front as well if you need it. The fabric is light and airy and almost feels like you are going commando under whatever you are wear over top.
The one down fall with these briefs that I could find is that like most sheer fabrics. These are undies that should be cared for. I have had similar fabrics get caught in zippers of paints while in the washer and rip a hold in fabric. So just be cautious when washin’. I would also not recommend wearing these all day. I did and they performed better than a lot of my other mesh undies; however I didn’t feel like they moved as well with me like some of my other undies do. BUT if you are looking for a sexy pair of undies that will add that little extra element of sexy to your night out, these are the undies for you! Sexy and functional for a great price!

Its Halloween Time! There is one brand that has some amazing costumes, that brand is Candyman. I remember when they first came out and the Cowboy costume was all the rage. Each year they continue to release new costumes, and not just around Halloween.
But if you wanted to wear these for Halloween you could! I wouldn’t recommend them for a “family” party or with kids. If you were going to an adult party or a bar some of these could be a lot of fun to wear. I say this because some of these are skimpy and leave little to the imagination. For a bar this I bet is a good thing! So what costumes to they have this year?
First up is the 99108 Sailor Costume Outfit. As you can see its perfect for any sea voyage. The costume comes with the brief, hat and collar. The Sailor costume is $32.48
The next costumes come in two colors. The sexy mechanic is a sheer mesh body suit that just has coverage on the crotch. its available on Blue and Black. the Blue is 99149 Mechanic Outfit is $39.48
The Sexy Mechanic in black is very similar but it has a black/white checker board stripe down the side. Just note that both of these are VERY see through. So unless you want to show it off, don’t wear it. The Black is 99150 Mechanic Outfit Multi-colored is $37.48
For men the School Girl is always a popular costume, but what about the School boy? Candyman has made a school boy costume that comes with the boxer briefs, suspenders and bow tie. The geek glasses are something you have to add yourself. The 99151 School Boy Outfit is $30.48
Growing up how many of us wanted to be a police man? Candyman has two different costumes. The first is the 99152 Police Outfit. This one shows off a bit more! It comes with the boxer briefs, cap, harness and hand cuffs. These boxer briefs have a cool cut with a mesh back and you will be seeing your best assets! The Police Outfit is $39.48
The second 99153 Police Outfit offers a bit more coverage. Like the first one you get the cap and cuffs but this one is a brief cut rather than a trunk. These also feature a badge on the back of the pair. The Police outfit is $33.48

UndiesMonday is not about wearing something out there like Fetish Friday. Its about wearing something fun. Fun could be a bright color/pattern, new material or a different cut than you are used too (such as brief instead of a boxer brief). I wanted something something fun for the first UndiesMonday and choose the Candyman 99115 Boxer. It may not sound like a sexy name but the pair is pretty fun.
The boxer is a mix of solid and mesh panels and a solid mesh back. But don’t worry it has a solid pouch so you won’t be showing it all off. The mesh comes in two different colors black and pink. That means you can go really wild with the pink or keep it subtle with the black. The solid material is a leather like black material on both colors.
Where would you wear this pair? I could see this under a power suit by an executive. It could also be great under jeans or a casual work environment. Wearing it to the gym maybe a bit much for most guys so make sure you don’t have a gym day.

It’s Fetish Friday! That day we profile something super fun and not your everyday wear! It could be something to wear for a “romantic” night or to a Bar night. These pairs would be for the former unless you are an exhibitionist. The pairs we choose are the Candyman S&M Costumes.
These 3 styles you could have your very on 50 Shades of Grey in the bedroom. As you would expect all three are black but a variation of fun! The first is one for those who love a thong. The 99157 S&M Costume is a mix of a thong and harness with a blindfold and cuffs. Both the cuffs and blindfold are made out of a leather looking material. The thong has almost a harness like look, it crosses in the front and goes over the shoulders. It’s for those who aren’t shy and want to have fun wearing it!
The next style the 99159 is a pair of mesh boxer briefs and a blind fold. You may think you will show off less in this but you would be wrong! The boxer briefs are mesh, except the pouch, and has a lace up back. The blindfold is made out of the same leather like material with some accents around the edge! It’s super fun and sexy!
The last style is the 99161 which is the same as the 99159 except it has the cuffs instead of the blindfold. Granted the cuffs are not super tight but all these are for fun. If you want both the cuffs and blinforld get the 9915.
If you want the real S&M experience you need to get something a bit more fetishy. But for something fun to spice up the bedroom these could just do the trick. Thsee aren’t too over the top or too intense if you want to dip your toe in on the fetish side with your partner. One of the biggest trends in fetish wear is S&M style. More and more brands are having fun with this style of of underwear.

The one thing about Candyman that has made it super fun are the costumes. I remember back in about 2010/2011 when they first came on the scene the Cowboy costume was one of their best sellers. It was a cross between underwear and fun wear! It also made the rounds on the Halloween circuit. We all search for that pair of underwear that helps define who we are and what we feel when wrapped in that waistband. Some guys prefer boxer briefs, while others prefer briefs and so forth. It may be a brand, a style, or even a color that we feel our best in and really excites are inner being. As time passes, underwear, like everything else, evolves and changes into something new. I have always enjoyed many types of underwear from various brands and styles but over the past year I have discovered a style that encompasses everything I love about underwear.
The first time I saw the jock-thong I could not believe my eyes. I love a jock for its exposure, support, and fit. I love a thong for its sex appeal and the way it makes me feel. When both were put together, I knew I had to have it for myself. I bought the Andrew Christian Jock Thong last summer and tried it on. Oh my it was amazing! I actually feel that the jock thong adds more support than a regular thong or jock because of the side straps brought together a little closer and tighter by the center strap. In fact, I recently told a straight male who was interested in getting more into thongs that the jock thong may be a good transition pair of underwear because of its additional support and feel. The side straps take away some of the pressure from the center strap, making it more jock like than thong like. So to everyone who enjoys a brief or jock and wants to give a thong a try, this is the way to go.
I am excited to see more brands taking part in this new underwear evolution. Andrew Christian was my first jock thong purchase and they have since offered a few more selections. I have recently seen brands such as Jack Adams, Candyman, PPU and more come out with new jock thong combinations. This is a new market in underwear that has potential to really expand. As underwear enthusiasts, we need to expand our underwear knowledge and continue to grow with the underwear community. I encourage anyone to take a chance and sample the jock thong that is evolving within the underwear community.
Let’s hope 2015 continues to see the development of the jock thong market where men can embrace this new pair.
