Pros: Perfect mesh panel for a hot day. Interesting cut and design

Cons:. If you don’t like dressing up this isn’t for you. If you’re conservative you may not like the style.

UNB Tim  recommendation: This pair is perfect for a hot humid day. It felt great and there isn’t any discomfort wearing it all day. It’s something different outside of my comfort zone.

King Style sent us 4 pairs to reviews. I posted one earlier and this is the second. UNB John will be doing the rest. It’s been a while since we had a review from him and we’re glad he’s back. The last pair was a boxer brief with a sleeve for you business. This pair was a brief and had, for a lack of better word, for your boys.

As I said in the previous review, King Style makes interesting undies. However, they have found a great place that makes their underwear different yet comfortable. I have tried so many types of underwear. Usually, when I find a brand like King Style. They have so much elastic to keep things in place, it cuts off circulation and makes me wish I had never tried them.

This is not the case with King Style. The Brief for this review was really interesting. It’s another pair where you dress up. Again if you’re not a fan you may not like that. Your boys, for a lack of better word, sit in a pouch. Not like an ergonomic pouch but one designed for the boys. They fit snug and feels really comfy. The pouch is also made out of mesh. This feature made my day. Being in Atlanta with 80%+ humidity, 90+ degree days and 72 Degree dew point. It’s miserable. This pouch made things breath and I felt awesome throughout the day. I don’t know who came up with this idea at King Style but my hat is off to you!

I wore these all day. To my part time job that is active and in the humidity. They fit pretty well. Again the mesh pouch for the boys kept me very cool. I think at one point I felt a breeze. I was almost like I wasn’t wearing any underwear.

Just like the sizing in the previous pair. Their sizing is not standard US sizing. It’s going to run smaller on the sizing chart. You may have to go up a size. So if you normally wear a medium you may need a large.

It was a pair that I will wear again. This pair is great for summer and really breathes with you throughout the day. Great job on these King Style.

Uni-websend

The University line from N2N Bodywear could be considered a classic line. It has been in the N2N Bodywear line up for as long as I can remember. When the 2016 line came out and it was missing, I thought. NOOOO! Not the University. How could they do away with such a classic design!

Little did I know they would be releasing it later. Andrew told me that they would be releasing more through out the year. I never thought that the University would be one of those collections. When it was announced a few weeks back I did a happy dance.

The University collection has had the same styles. They are a brief, Jammer, singlet and runner. There isn’t one piece in this collection that I don’t love. I talked to Andrew and he told me the inspiration for the line. It was inspired by the Collegiate collection N2N Created. That collection was inspired by collegiate gear. The masculine cuts, colors and stripes. It was an inspiration on an inspiration. I can’t recall the Collegiate collection.

The cuts to me are ones you would see in collegiate athletics. The swim brief could be worn back in the day when they wore swim briefs to compete in them. The singlet reminds me of some singlets I remember seeing in catalogs years ago. I won’t go into the discussion of a singlet. I have done that many times. The University singlet is a low cut singlet. The jammer is something you could see on swimmers today. The Olympics has shown swimmers compete in jammers but train in speedos. Lastly are the runners, I say it’s a sexier cut than regular runners. But, that’s just my opinion.

As, I stated above, the styles haven’t changed just the colors. This year the colors are amazing. They include Charcoal, Royal and white. The Royal really pops. It’s my favorite color since they had green! But, any of the colors in this new collection I would be happy with owning.

See the entire collection at the N2N Bodywear site University Collection page!

Pros: Interesting design, was comfortable for a days wear. Not hard to put on

Cons:.Guys who don’t like to dress up may not like it. Others may not like the sleeve design

UNB Tim  recommendation: I was surprised how much I liked this. If you want something different that doesn’t constrain or

This is a review I swear I wrote a while back. I had King Style follow up with me and realized I didn’t post it. So my apologies to King Style for the delay. This was my first time wearing anything by King Style. They are for a lack of better word, interesting. They have some designs that are not the norm with pockets, sleeves.

Normally I wouldn’t like these types of pairs. I say this because the pairs are overly complicated in the way you put them on and how they fit during the day. But I gave it the UNB try. The Style Stripe boxer is a little interesting. They look like regular boxer briefs but have a sleep that your member goes through. When I put them on they were pretty easy to get into. One thing I noticed is that the sleeve is open at the top. So it has a bit of a peekaboo effect.

I didn’t wear these on a day where I was going to be gone for too long out of the house. If things go wrong I didn’t want to be in these for an entire day. During my wear running some errands I forgot what pair I was wearing. I was really surprised on how they fit. Unlike other pairs they didn’t constrict or bind. There isn’t any elastic involved in the pouch design. It felt like I was dressing up. So those guys who are the kind who dress up you need this pair. It will keep everything pointing up.

From Dealsbyethan.com

The sizing was pretty good. Note that their sizing doesn’t match standard US sizing. I am usually and XL and wore and XXL. This means you may have to move a size up from your usual size. If you buy from any site they will have the size chart. We also have posted it above.

kölnerdomIf you’re like me you have been glued to the TV this past week. We are down a full week of the Games. (I won’t use the O word due to the crack down by the brand not wanting people to use it). As of last night, my favorites are over. I love swimming, diving, gymnastics and a few more. These all typically take place in the first week.

We saw Michael Phelps earn a total of 28 medals. I think this makes him the most decorated athlete of all times. His swimming is amazing. I was jumping up and down during one of the relay races.

Before I reveal who you guys voted, I wanted to share another poll we conducted. This made me post a poll on Twitter if we should bring swim briefs back to the world of competitive swimming. Over the traditional jammers they have now.

92% of those who responded answered our “Hell yes” we should bring them back. Only 8% said “hell no” we don’t need to bring them back. So I say bring back the swim briefs. Any pictures you see of Team USA training they are all in swim briefs.

Now on to the poll. We have some amazing swimmers from around the world who would make amazing underwear spokespeople. We know they are comfortable in skimpy swim briefs and being in front of people. So we divided it up between Divers and Swimmers. You guys voted and here is who you think should be an underwear spokes person:

The number one was Adam Peaty. The UK Swimmer won gold in the breast stroke. He is one of the up and coming stars of the swimming world.

A close number two is Ryan Lotche. He is part of the self-proclaimed “Old guys” group at the games. One of the few over 30 at the games. He took home gold in the 4×200 Freestyle Relay.

Here are the divers you guys choose:

I guess it’s no surprise that Tom Daley is the favorite.

My personal favorites would be Michael Phelps. He would make an amazing Calvin Klein Ad. I personally think he could bring back the brief. But something tells me they would put him in a trunk or something like that. As for diver I 100% agree with Tom Daly. I’m really surprised that no brand has gotten him to be their spokesperson. His YouTube videos shows a lot of personality and he would be an asset for any brand. He and his partner, Daniel Goodfellow, won bronze in the Men’s Synchronized Diving.

Should we do track and field athletes? Let us know!

Hey there kinky wonderfuls, I hope you’ve had a great week. Maybe you’re watching the Olympics. Maybe you’re watching gymnastics. Maybe you are feelin’ all support-y and pride filled. To kick off the 2nd and final week of the Olympics, I found another fun Team USA item for you all to peruse. This one is from a newer company. I don’t know much about them, but hopefully I’ll get to chat with them soon. Their name is BARCODE Berlin (we may be having some language barrier issues over email). I am really interested in their original work. They have fun cuts, and good design lines to highlight men’s proportions.

The item that I’m using the celebrate Team USA. Is another idea that I’d like to pitch for the US Men’s Gymnastics team. Maybe last week’s was the individuals, and this one is for the all arounds. It is called the Juanjo. It is a sexy narrow racerback singlet, with extremely low cut arm holes. It features two options (I’m sticking with the blue option for now) with blue on the bottom area, and white up top. The color change features a chevron pattern, and the whole thing has red trim along all the edges.

BarcodeJuanjo3

This pair is made by BARCODE themselves (the site is a mix of their original work and retail). The Juanjo is made out of 92% Polyester, and 8% Elastane. It is mostly mesh fabric (hopefully very breathable for the male gymnasts) with the bottom fabric being solid. On the front rib area. There is a varsity font style “8” with “barcode berlin” written in the classic baseball style script.

BarcodeJuanjo1

I think the cut of this singlet is very sexy (maybe I’ll get one to review). I love that the front panel is both low cut, and narrow, so the nips are on full display. The pouch has seams on the sides and front, so there seems to be ample shaping for your precious parts.

BarcodeJuanjo2

I should note, there is an option with red bottoms and black trim, but that is not going with my Team USA theme. So I am going to pretend it’s not an option. I hope next summer Olympics, they consult with me before outfitting the gymnasts. I have really good ideas.

Anyway, I’m up in Vermont for 2 weeks, working my booty off. I’ll be excited about returning to Boston for more summer fun. Enjoy the really really really hot weather, and go for a swim in a sexy swimsuit for me.

Until next time, keep it kinky!

TtheAmazing, over and out!

Thongs are for ….

I grew up playing several sports – soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball.  As a kid, my parents bought the jockstraps with the built-in protective cup for baseball and soccer.  As I got older, I continued to wear jockstraps because that’s what I was trained that athletes wore.  I didn’t really mind them.  They allowed for greater freedom of movement. But the straps and thick waistbands always bothered me.

I just competed in a tennis tournament in Columbus, OH, in late July.  The weather was….horrific.  It was in the mid-90s the entire weekend, and the tennis facility does not have air conditioning.  On court, the humidity was suffocating.  Needless to say, all players were dripping with sweat after a 5-minute warm-up.

This tournament was a little unusual.  There were more mentions of what underwear players were wearing.  Some wore briefs, some wore boxer briefs, some wore jockstraps, but I wore thongs.  Why, you ask?

Boxer briefs were good for preventing chaffing.  Briefs were all that some guys had.  Jockstraps are breathable, provide support, and provide wide range of movement.  Thongs offer just about all of those qualities – aside from preventing chaffing.  Plus, they aren’t seen under soaking wet white shorts!

I am much more comfortable in a thong than a jockstrap during competition.  The right, well-fitting thong is just as comfortable and provides unequaled range of motion….with the added benefit of no annoying straps.  It’s just there and I don’t have to think about it – everything is kept in its place.  It lets me focus on the point, game, set, match at hand.

Thongs are for … Athletes.  I challenge you to try one during your next competition!

Underwear Review N2N Bodywear Neon Classic BoxterN2N Bodywear furnished the Neon Classic Cotton Boxster (NC16) for review.

Rating: 7.4/10

  • Daily Fit: 6/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 7/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros: Colors, Fabric.

Cons: Leg Bands, Restrictive Pouch.

SALVATORE Recommendation: I am typically a brief guy, but have been attempting to add more boxer briefs and trunks to my collection. The simple reason is that my wife thinks they are sexy and comments on trunks or boxers briefs every time I wear them. I am not saying that you should select your underwear solely on what your wife/girlfriend/significant other thinks. I am saying that she does play a role in influencing what I buy and wear. After all, we enjoy going underwear shopping together.

This particular design gave me the opportunity to try something new and add a trunk to the collection. Because I am so into anatomical pouches. The write-up and look of this boxster seemed to be a perfect pair. To add to my budding collection of trunks and boxer briefs. I received them in the mail, opened them up, got excited about the look and feel and decided to try them on. These are my findings:

Pouch: Contrary to the pictures posted on line of the sexy model with the big package hanging naturally inn an ergonomical looking design, there IS NO POUCH. The boxster is virtually completely flat in the front causing testicles to stick to legs. This overwhelmed my disappointing feelers. My system failed to recognize the potential of a pouchless trunk.

Leg Bands: The leg bands are extremely loose fitting and cause severe bunching under clothing. Personally, this is the number one reason I stay away from trunks and boxer briefs. I do not like the bunching effect. I have found several well-constructed trunks that do not bunch. The tradeoff is a really tight leg band that sometimes leaves ridiculous lines under clothing.

Fabric: The cotton and spandex blend is the most appealing thing about this trunk. The fabric is super duper soft and feels so incredible laying on the skin. WoW! Is all I can say about the fabric. Although I have been very critical about this boxster. I recommend the pair for a lounging lay around the house day type of garment. The color pops and will draw attention if you happen to be standing in front of an open window or door. Who knows, maybe that is what you are after!!!!!!

I also recognize that I have a bias towards pouch types and briefs. With that said, many people are not bothered by a snuggly fitting pouch and bunching under their pants. That’s okay. I will always say that N2N puts a lot of effort into their designs and makes incredible garments with men in mind. Don’t let me dissuade you from making the purchase. Go buy a pair and do an honest assessment for yourself. Enjoy this great men’s underwear designer.

The RIseIn the last few years, jockstraps have become more fashion than function. As I sit here and watch the Summer  Games in Rio, I don’t think I  have seen a hint of a jock. The only sport that I have seen them in recently is American Football. Athletes are no going for engineered designs from Nike and Under Armour. Plus with many of the uniforms being super tight having a jock line doesn’t seem to be in Fashion.

In 2009, I proclaimed that it was the year of the jock. It proved that was the turning point in jocks. They have moved from an under garment that you only wore in contact sports. To a pair of underwear you wanted to show off. In 2009 we saw more brands redesigning the classic jock. Gone was the nylon fabric and in comes breathable and comfortable fabric. Many used spandex blends to give great support without being too constricting. While others used breathable materials such as modal.

The biggest change was color. More brands were stepping outside the black or white. Jocks now come in a rainbow of colors. You name it, you can find a jock in it that hue. Some of the more popular colors over the years have been pinks and purples. Not what many would call masculine, but the mix of a non-masculine color with something masculine has it’s appeal to many guys. Baskit was the first to make a pink jock and it was one of their best sellers. While others have mixed color patterns together to create some really amazing jocks. I”m looking at you 2EROS and your Vavoom collection.

Solid colors aren’t the only thing brands have played with. Prints have become huge in jocks. One of the first I remember making them was Gigo in 2009. But many more brands have created amazing prints over the years. The trend of prints in men’s underwear is one that is picking up steam every year.

Lastly, there have been brands who have taken the jock and made it their own. C-IN2’s Grip Jock is one of those jocks. The Grip jock is about function and working out. They thought outside the box and created a new design. Jack Adams is another brand that has gone in a bit of a different direction. They have taken the jock and added zippers and lace up fronts. Still making it their own, I wouldn’t say fetish but it’s definitely fun.

Speaking of fetish how could we not mention the fetish jock! The jock will always have a place in the fetish community. Even back in the 70s/80s the jock found a special place in the leather community. I think it’s what kept it alive over the years. Now we have brands like Nasty Pig making leather, camo and other fetish jocks over the years. Then you have Cellblock 13 making neoprene jocks and harnesses.

The classic jock is a dying pair of underwear. The Classic Bike #10 Jock is no longer going to be made. Other ones that have had the “Classic design” are giving way to the new waistbands (branded with the company name) and new fabric pouches. I have a special place for the classic jock in my heart. It was one pair I had to have when discovering my love of underwear. But, I feel, the resurgence of the fashion jock did in the classic. For those who are like me and want that classic waistband and pouch. Never fear brands like Jock Up have a pair for you!

No matter what type of guy you are in jocks. Keep wearing them and have fun doing it. Pick whatever color, fabric or design you want. It’s about feeling great and wearing what you want!

Underwear Review N2N Bodywear Air BriefN2N Bodywear furnished the Air Brief (UN83) for review.

Rating: 10/10

  • Daily Fit: 10/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros: Natural Pouch, Slinky Fabric, Lightweight.

Cons: None.

SALVATORE Recommendation: Admittedly, this is an older design with an updated color option. However, when I received the N2N Bodywear Air Brief in Peach, my eye was immediately drawn to its smooth look and lightweight feel. There was something new and clean about this brief that I hadn’t noticed before. It helped me get in the mood for a summer filled with fun new underwear colors, styles, and cuts.

If you read any review that I have done on this blog, you will know that I am a sucker for pouches. My collection is almost exclusively anatomical in nature. I have an eye for what pouch will work for me as soon as I physically get my hands on a brief. With that said, UNB Tim, put the thought in my head that sometimes a slinky fabric can give the same effect without the center seam anatomical pouch design that I’ve grown accustomed to. That led to me trying this brief and blowing my normal culling process out the window. The fabric on this brief is so sexy and slinky, that it might be the most perfect natural hang in my collection. I wish I had this brief in every color. N2N has done it again and created a manly brief that is both sexy and comfortable.

Here are a few things that I’d like to highlight.

Pouch: Read above. No need to restate the obvious. For a pouch snob, I didn’t turn my nose up when I slipped these on. I smiled from ear to ear and told my wife how awesome the design is. She agreed and even commented that they looked nice on me. She’s a sucker for a great pouch look too.

Waistband: This brief does not have your typical wide waistband that you see on many designers’ undies today. The waistband is narrow and slim and lies perfectly below the belt line so that it doesn’t stick out of pants at all. N2N perfectly matches up their logo over the hips (on the waistband) to create downward arrow focusing on the crotch of the underwear. Very artsy design that is admirable and creative.

Fabric: This fabric blend is slinky, thin, and soft. Doesn’t get any better than this. Be aware that if you wear this brief under thin pants or dress slacks. You get the full impression of your manhood without any hidden secrets. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the occasion of wear. Overall, the fabric gives you an “I’M NAKED!” feel. It’s splendid.

This design is a must have for your underwear drawer. As N2N continues the trend of updating colors to some of their designs that are flawless. I will be adding more and more colors of the Air Brief to my already outstanding collection of pouch briefs that allow for the natural to take place.
