Hello folks, today I’m reviewing a new pair by one of my favorite companies, Clever. It was furnished by Candyman Fashion. One of their new designs coming out is the Original Sin Boxer (2255). I received the “Black” pair that has Teal as the Accent Front color with Black as the background. The other option available for the Original Sin is the “Red” pair with a Gunmetal as the Accent Front Color.

Clever_2255_Black_1

The main body of the boxer is a 94% cotton/6% elastane. Though the main body of the fabric is a cotton blend, which is usually not my favorite, this blend is nice and smooth. The front of the boxer is a synthetic mesh that isn’t see through. But definitely shows off details very nicely. The front pouch is contoured out and gives nice room for your kit. The background fabric meets the front at the side seams. Then travels almost to the front on the inner thigh. The thread color matches the front fabric, so on all front seams, it blends in. While the back seam goes down the middle of your butt and Y’s out down the legs as a contrast.

The two main things I really love about this boxer are the mesh fabric in front.  The subtle design choice that really makes this boxer pop. The mesh in front is a really nice tiny hole mesh fabric. That is lightweight and definitely breathable (great for working out in). The design choice I love is that the contract back fabric wraps around towards the front by the pouch. This makes your pouch “hang” in front of a contrast backdrop. Which really amplifies the visual from the front (which is wear a lot of pouches read as flatter).

Clever_2255_Red_1

On a less happy note, the leg bands of this boxer don’t have a lot of structure to them. So it’s really easy for them to ride up your leg (which is the main reason I end wearing mostly briefs). But it’s not bad enough that I was constantly pulling it down, it was just something I noticed.

I really do like this boxer, and will add it to my drawer of boxers I actually will wear regularly.
PROS:

-Sexy pouch visual.

-Breathable mesh fabric.

-Attractive butt seams.

CONS:

-Legs ride up.

Pros: Material, Styling, Pouch, Cut

Cons: none

Let me start off by saying I love Clever Underwear. Before I had switched to wearing thongs almost my entire underwear collection of briefs/trunks/underwear was Clever. I love the fabric, styling, fit, everything this company does; so when I had switched to thongs I naturally had bought several pairs a couple years back. At that time I was greatly disappointed in the cut and style; but that was then. NOW I would have to say their thong line up is on par with the rest of their underwear line up, which is awesome.

This pair, I loved the material, the pouching was comfortable and breathable. The band like all of their bands is very high quality, a little saddened that the pair I had did not have Clever written in the front, but instead I had two partial sections, and the thong strap they finally got right. It is the right thickness so that you don’t feel it and it is cut so emphasize your cheeks.

The Sizing for this and all the underwear I have had of theirs is spot on; my waist is in the 32-34” range, and so I get a Large for them and it fits me well. I received from Clever a Large size, and was very satisfied with it.

Hey Kinksters,

Hope you are all having a little more relief with tax rush being over. I know I said I would do the second Army of Men post for this Fetish Friday. Derrick (owner of Army of Men) are cooking up something delicious. So you’re just gonna have to wait a little longer). Today, I am going to talk about a topic that was inspired by my most recent purchase from Cheapundies.com. I received my first Cellblock 13 garment, the Ambush Short. This is not just a post about that though, this post is about a feature that is found in the Ambush; CONVENIENCE ZIPPERS!

double-zip-front-back

I only own one item with a convenience zipper (but I’m totally up for owning more). I’ve been seeing them in a variety of brands over the years. Zippers in front to release the package, zipper in back to reveal the booty. A lot of brands have caught on to the zipper fun. I know Slick It Up has been doing it for years with their bodysuits. Cellblock 13 has a few different lines out.

11893093_746384215473999_2144415068707835860_o

In my opinion, it can be totally sexy. Instead of just pulling them down for the big reveal, you can keep it on but open a window for the fun to happen. Front zippers are definitely great because no one wants to have the entire waistband and pouch just pulled down under your balls. Back zippers however I think CAN be great, but aren’t always. Now, back zippers and I have interacted quite a bit. I find the biggest issue of the back zipper is whether it unzips down low enough. There is a certain feature in the butt area (do I really need to say it?) that a zipper needs to go below for the convenience zipper to be truly convenient. If you’re wondering why the zipper not going down enough below the “zone” is needed. Go take a zipper, unzip it part way. Hold the two unzipped parts together. Place two fingers in the bottom of that zipper V and start sliding your fingers in and out of the zipper… YEAH. Not too fun. Now if it hurt your fingers, let’s not even test that out with your tongue or…other body parts that stick out. If the zipper goes low enough however, and it provides enough room to reach your goals. Then I heartily condone that convenience butt zipper.

So, you tell me, do you own undies with convenience zippers? Have you played with someone who had convenience zippers. I wanna know your thoughts. Hope you have a great week all you fancy people. See you next Friday with more fetish fantasticness.

MaritalMarital Bliss—Underwear Shopping with Your Wife

On a recent weekend trip to Portland, my wife and I ventured into an alleyway downtown and found this brilliant little French restaurant. I can’t recall what we ate, but I do remember a delightful dessert that came out flaming. The French restaurant is irrelevant to this story, but does set the tone for what happened later on that evening.

As we left dinner, we grabbed hands and made our way back to the main drag. It was then that I noticed a massive green and white sign blaring the name “underU4men” in bright lights as if it were calling my name. I must have made a gawking noise because my wife asked me what was wrong. I simply pointed and insisted that we stroll down the block to check out one of the largest men’s underwear stores on the West Coast. She promptly set the limit of my spending budget, locked her arm in mine, and said, “Let’s go buy some briefs.”

As we approached the large pane glass windows, I was amazed at the enormous inventory on display. People were moving about inside as clerks rang sales at the sleekly designed registers. We entered through the doors and were greeted with a cheery West coast, “Hello!”

I will say that entering into a men’s underwear boutique can sometimes be intimidating. The clerk that greeted us was female and asked what we were looking for. We told her that we were just browsing and she made us feel write at home. The most incredible feeling of the night was that my wife was right beside me talking intelligently about designer underwear.

I asked the clerk about the Andrew Christian Almost Naked line and if they carried Obviously. She answered my questions and pointed to the Obviously wall display. She then engaged my wife in conversation about bargain shopping and showed her an entire wall with pull out bins full of $5 undies. I decided at that moment that I must have died and gone to Undie heaven—cheap designer underwear and a beautiful woman helping me pick them out. We purchased a couple of pairs and headed back to the hotel.

The romantic dinner and the underwear shopping set the tone for great conversation that helped us to connect on a very deep level. What’s the moral of this little story? Take your wife underwear shopping with you—it might just light a new fire in your marriage and create a little marital bliss.

1ST-THONG-HEADER-1

Mickillop and Co, better known for their jockstraps, have recently come out with something new.  Their first ever Mickillop thong. They’re super excited about it too! Named the Jagger thong, its image dominates the front page of the Mickillop and Co website, as it should. To quote Mickillop, “The wait was long for a Mckillop Thong but the wait is Now OVER!”

The Jagger thong is a take on the traditional, basic, thong, but with a bit more added if you like. This pair has some fun option available as you will soon see. The thong is available in a variety of colors, and two materials. The color choices range from the basic.  Like black and white, up to some quite interesting shades like emerald, fuchsia, lavender, and eggplant. The two material choices also stand out.  The new thong comes in the choice of either mesh or modal. The mesh looks to be a very fine type, and gives the pair a fun look.  The pairs are simply styled, clean lines,  with white or black waistbands. The Micollop logo front and center, in understated coloring. The back is mentioned as a “soft Y back”, and is similar to a traditional thong back. Like other Mickillop products, the Jagger thong is available in a variety of pouch sizes to accommodate various types of guys where it counts. The pouches are all, of course, anatomical. Of note is that on the website, unlike most brands, Mickillop shows the backside of the pair as the main image on the product page, not the front as is usual.

All in all, Mickllop is very excited about its new thong, and we are too!

The Jagger thong is available for $25 at http://mckillop.co . It is available in the following colors: Black, Eggplant, Emerald, Fuchsia, Lavender, Navy, Pink, Red, Royal Blue, Turquoise, and White.

Petit Q Two Tone Lace Bikini – Furnished by Candyman Fashion

Rating: 7/10

Daily Fit: 6/10

Sizing: 6/10

Construction: 9/10

Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros: Sexy as hell, great color combo, fun, different and unique.

Cons: Small sizing, rough fabric for full day wear

Beau Briefs recommendation: Have these on hand for seductive play but not for daily wear.

As is generally the case, the brand name should have given it away, Petit. The first thing that is impossible not to notice is that sizes with Petit Q tend to run small. So the fit was already going to be an issue. It is always important to know and REMEMBER that there are some brands that you need to order up a size. Oops!

So because of the sizing I wasn’t going to be able to try these out for a day long trial, like I generally do. However, let’s be honest, this is not really a pair that one would generally wear for a full day. These briefs have a purpose and it’s not comfort in the office. Its purpose is so that when you slip into them to let someone know that they should “come and get it.” they are going to come and get it!

This is a sexy pair. A seductive pair. A unique pair. And I love a good, unique pair of underwear. It means that this isn’t a pair that every brand will have a variation of, this is specifically a Petit Q pair. The light black lace is beautifully done and punctuated by the yellow flower details. The moody and yet sultry color combination is alluring and fun for the eyes. Of course, it’s also very fun to get the peak a boo view of what lies behind the lace as well. Well hello there, mister.

Given the lace and fabric the pair would not wear the best throughout the day and is not advised. That’s the trade off, sexy check, seductive check, a bit scratchy sadly check. Again, think about slipping into these before a date or when things start to get exciting back at your apartment. The construction is solid and the pouch has a really good structure. For a pair that runs a bit small there is room in the pouch for the goods. There are firm seams around the pouch that create a nice

pocket. I  imagine that these same seams/piping that go around the butt would be supportive as well. Unfortunately they cut across my bum because of the size and I cannot fully know.

If you’re a fan of what Petit Q has done in the past. If you’re a fan of the linen and lace type of look. Or if you want to branch out and have a totally unique pair to play in then this could just be the pair for you.

unnamedMalebasics asked could they share some content with you guys! After hearing what they wanted to share I said yes. Some of the topics we here at UNB had been talking about as well. The first is Spring Clean Your Undies Drawer. We hope you enjoy!
If you find yourself every morning pulling worn out underwear out of your drawer filled with things you can’t even remember you own (or that aren’t yours). Perhaps it’s time for a little spring clean. We, at Malebasics, believe that every man should have a tidy drawer filled with underwear fit for every aspect of his life. That’s why we got you covered with a plan to get it done. And hey — if it looks like a mess in a month, you will know that it’s filled at least only with wearable pieces.

Plan

First and foremost, choose an time where you won’t be disturbed. Blast out some music, grab a beer and get naked you’re going to be looking at yourself in the mirror a lot).

Purge

Go through your drawer and remove any underwear that can definitely go. Remove anything that is damaged, doesn’t fit, looks worn out, doesn’t fit your lifestyle, or no longer fits your personal style. Before you move on, toss damaged and stained garments.

Try it on
By this point, everything left in your drawer should be undies that you like and that fit you. Quickly try everything on and look in the mirror. Note items that you like but may not be right for your body type – you may want to search for replacements that are suited for you. Make sure you keep playful pieces like jocks and thongs for special occasions.

Divide
As you try on your undies, make a pile for ones that look great and fit your everyday needs, a pile for performance underwear, and a pile for the more frivolous. Note whether or not you have enough underwear for your everyday needs, and record what’s missing.

Shop

Now that everything in there is neat and tidy, it’s time to treat yourself to some shopping therapy. It should be super easy because you got a track record of what you need and what’s missing… oh yeah, don’t forget to another beer!

Hey undie lovers. Undies Rock here with another review for Petit Q’s Hawaii Yellow Bikini (Furnished by Candymanfashion.com).  Petit Q is known for pushing the boundaries of men’s underwear with saucier designs. This bikini is no exception.  From the cheeky minimalistic cut to the vibrant tropical pattern. This pair is total sexiness.

I have been a fan of Petit Q for quite some time for their fun and exotic styles. When they released their latest collection I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this bikini.  I love string bikinis, and though they aren’t my go to style, there is definitely a time and a place for them.  One aspect of a string bikini that either makes it or breaks it for me is the length of the side string.  I hate it when the string length is only an inch or two.  For a string bikini to be considered a string bikini to me, it has to have a generous string length for the side.  This bikini sets the bar as the string goes completely from the crotch all the way to the rear.

I for sure feel a little more in touch with my feminine side with this pair as it has more of a lingerie vibe than an underwear vibe.  The pouch and butt are extremely low rise, with just enough material to cover you manhood and crack.  The butt is incredibly cheeky, and definitely makes you feel sexy.  The pouch has a narrow design, and positons my junk in the center, but it maintains a solid pouch.

The 85% nylon 15% spandex material is thin, stretchy, and comfortable. But nothing special or out of the ordinary.  I wore a size large which is rated for 34-35 inch waists.  I am in the 33-34 inch range, and this pair fit perfectly.  I think I could size down for a tighter fit if I was in the mood, but for sure this was the optimal size.

I test drove a pair for a day and there were a few things that I wasn’t a fan of.  I found myself adjusting the butt throughout the day as it would ride up and down. Which became annoying.  Also, the elastic trim is not the softest. I only say this comparatively speaking to Groovin’s string bikini. Which is crazy soft and comfy.  Though this bikini is fine for office work and intimate occasions. I doubt it would be the right choice for athletic activities or lounging.  The overall construction is good. But I can tell that it’s not the most solid. For a $20 pair of underwear I expected something that doesn’t feel like it was made in China.  Also it’s always a pet peeve of mine when the crotch has a full center seam.  Since the crotch is so minimalistic. Your package fits tight, and the center seam was irritating.

Currently you can find these on Amazon for $20, which is a little pricy for what you get.  But if you’re looking for a wild to pair to spice things up, look no further. Because the Petit Q Hawaii Bikini is the perfect choice.

Pros:

·       Fun/sexy style

If you have been watching Dancing with the Stars you have seen Nyle DiMarco. Or maybe you saw him on America’s Next Top Model he won Cycle 22. He’s now a model for 2(X)IST! If you haven’t seen either, first thing to know outside of his great looks is he’s deaf. His entire family is (parents, siblings and grand parents) but this hasn’t stopped him for perusing a career in modeling or killing it on Dancing with the Stars. Actually he’s one of the best dancers on the show. How he dances without being able to hear or feel the music and stay in step is truly astonishing. It just shows how talented he is in front of the the camera and on the dance floor.

We asked 2(X)IST about having Nyle. “We are very excited to welcome Nyle to the 2(X)IST All-Star team, along with Andre, Veronika and all of the other past campaign models we’ve worked with. For this social media photo shoot, we partnered with photographer Marco Ovando to capture Nyle DiMarco while he was out and about in California. As I’m sure you know, Nyle is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars – and doing quite well, might I add! His disability has not held him back in the least and he truly exemplifies our brand with his passion to find #reasons2XIST.”

IS_cottonHill_Brief_Red_01_160411105324aussieBum has released a new range. It’s called the CottonHill. aussieBum says this about the range. “Inspired by the sun-drenched, rolling green vistas of CottonHill, this new underwear range is durable, ultra comfortable and easy on the eye. Made with a 1×1 Ribbed cotton for superior fit and style. Understated, tonal marle and a classic branded waistband make this a product range no wardrobe is complete without!”

The new CottonHill range is very classic in it’s design. The two styles available are the brief and the hipster. Both are standard styles in the aussieBum range. The pair has a new waistband from aB. It’s a branded band with aussiebum written around the band with no spaces. It’s actually pretty cool band.

The CottonHill range is made out of 100% cotton. They have gone old school on this line. Most pairs we cover are a blend of fabrics. Usually mixing in a spandex or other fabric to increase the stretch of the pair. The colors available in both styles are Red, Blue and Greymarle. All three are classic colors in the world of underwear.

What do we think of this pair? I think every guy needs some classics in his collection. There are times you may not want to wear something more revealing. This line is definitely in the classic range of underwear. I hear many of you out there are saying that classics are boring. We beg to differ. When done right classics are super sexy. The things to look for in a classic, which this pair has, are fit, fabric and colors. The fit should be great and not loose it’s shape while wearing. Next the fabric has to be high quality. And lastly there needs to be more than just white.

So where can you find this pair? It can be found on the aussieBum site for most people, unless you’re lucky enough to live near a store who stocks aB.

Brand: aussieBum
Line/Range: CottonHill
Styles: Brief/Hipster
Fabric: 100% Cotton
Color: Blue, Red and Greymarle
Sizes: XS-XL
Cost: $14.25/15.25

SHOT8.2Who is a fan of Camo? Camo is a trend that is big in men’s underwear. However, there are many out there who are not a big fan of the print. teamm8 has done something new with camo. They have released the Defence line! The Defence line is a new take on the world of Camo.

How is a new take? Glad you asked! Its a camo inspired print. Meaning they took the camo idea and expanded on it. The print looks like pixelated print. This makes it so you can see the inspiration but also is different from other camo prints on the market. If you didn’t want to look as is you were about to go duck hunting in your underwear, this print is for you. It’s not a literal print.

I really like how they did the print. Its also available in more than just green. The colors available are Sunny Lime, Honeysuckle (Pink, not available in the trunk) and Blue Radiance. The design adds to the line. The brief has a solid color pouch and the rest of the pair is the camo print. The trunk has a solid color pouch surrounded by white panels and the camo print is in the back. The constrasting trim and branded metallic waistband set the pair off nicely.

Both pairs in the collection are made out of a 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane blend. Meaning it will be comfortable and conform to your body. This blend will be great for wearing to work, around town and even the gym. teamm8 makes great fitting and looking underwear!

My favorite pair in the line is the Pink brief. It isn’t a pastel but a brighter pink. Mix the pink in with the print and I think it’s a total winner. That being said I think the entire line is pretty awesome. Find these pairs on the teamm8 website!

Brand: teamm8
Line: Defence
Style: Brief/Trunk
Fabric: 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane.

Colors: Sunny Lime, Honeysuckle (Pink, not available in the trunk) and Blue Radiance

Support UNB

We are back again with an episode of UNB Public Broadcasting Pledge Week! We aren’t going to promise you DVD’s and Tote bags and we won’t interrupt your content. But we do need your support and help to with UNB! We have had a few of your join and Thanks a lot to you! But we can always use more support!

Whey are we doing a Crowd funding/Patreon?

I have said it many times I hate ads in the stream of the blog. It just annoys me. Also, my big pet peeve lately is going to a site and having a video ad just spring up from no where and you can’t mute it or close it. It really ruins the reading experience. Lastly, is a site where there is one thing on a page and you have to click through over 10 pages to finally get the list. Our ads are less intrusive. Since the redesign they are all on one side and for companies you guys like and may shop from. So they should be highly relevant to you guys.

Next, is sponsored content. I am not a fan of this. I don’t knock any blog for doing it but I think its not for UNB. The only thing we charge for is a photo shoot for a brand to pay for the cost of the models/photographer. But not to put it on the site. I want you guys to know we are talking about our passion and we’re not paid to promote something we may not like.

We feel that this method of asking our readers is the best way to get additional funding. If you find value in what we do and want to see us improve and move to the next level, then think about donating. I have said it before if we had 25% of readers give just $1 we would have some money to do some great things.

Whats in Patreon for you if you donate?

We are always trying to make our levels rewards better! Here are a few of them.

  • All levels get previews of shoots we will be releasing
  • Levels over $5 will be in our closed Slack group where you can talk to other Patreon members and the UNB staff. You can talk directly to us!
  • Level over $25 you can get a personal underwear recommendation from UNB
  • Levels over $50 you get to be on a quarterly Skype/Hangout call with the Editor-In-Chief to find out more about the site and give input/ask questions about the site.

Can I remain Anonymous?

Of course you can! You can go by a pseudonym on the site and through Patreon. You will have to give Patreon your real name and info for payment purposes. However we just see what Pseudonym in our list. If you don’t want to be listed on the site just let us know and we can put Patreon 1, Patreon 2, and etc. We respect your privacy and will never sell or give your info to anyone by joining the Patreon.

What are you doing with the funds from Patreon?

We aren’t going to use this to throw parties and have fun with it. Running a blog the size of UNB costs money. We have hosting costs that we need to cover every month. Also we want to invest in new technology. Such as a video camera to improve our videos. New computer for the blog to aid in video editing and produce the blog. A rainy day fund for when we have issues like in March, the server going down, we can hire someone to fix it. Right now yours truely is the IT director of the site. Granted I have learned a great deal but there are times when I’m stumped. And WordPress and IT professionals aren’t cheap. Lastly, are shoots featuring new models and brands! Some we can have more of a creative spin with and mix brands together.

How do you Donate?

Again, Glad you asked! You can go to the UNB Official Patreon page and sign up. You can put in what ever amount you wish to donate. We have ours set up to do once a month! Its easy peasy.

Pros: Fun, bold print, true sizing, great mesh.

Cons: No overwhelming cons.

SALVATORE Recommendation: CandyMan Fashion contacted UNB Tim a while ago and asked the team to review CLEVER’s Spring line. Because the entire team loves undies, he agreed and sent out pairs for review. I recently wrote a post about mesh underwear, how to select great pairs, and what types of mesh to wear for different occasions.

I was elated when the pair selected for me to review was the MESH Flowery Touch Cheeky Brief! The mesh was not the only reason I got excited as I tore open the mailer. There were two other reasons: 1.) This brief has an awesome pattern (super manly) and 2.) It has an anatomical pouch. This brief is truly the collision of three utopic components to the perfect pair of underwear: MESH, PATTERN (instead of plain color), and ANATOMICAL POUCH! Perfection at its finest!

Mesh is so tricky in men’s underwear. There is the super wide hole mesh that is more for fetish wear (totally not me, but check out TTHEAMAZING’s Fetish Friday Column. I’m sure he will work in mesh at some point). Then there is the pragmatic mesh that can be worn for a myriad of event types. This brief is definitely practical in the mesh category. I wore the pair on three different occassions:

  • All day in jeans: I made it through the day wearing the brief under jeans. Mesh is hard to wear under jeans because the glans penis (head or tip of the penis) has very sensitive nerve endings that often poke through the mesh and rub on the denim. Not always uncomfortable—sometimes stimulating and often times irritating. This didn’t begin to bother until around dinnertime. I equate this to great construction and careful design implementation seen in CLEVER’s delivery of quality underwear.
  • To bed: What can I say? I felt sexy sleeping in mesh and even sexier knowing that I was wearing a very awesome pattern. I had no issues whatsoever feeling constricted in the crotch throughout the night. Very very good experience.
  • At the  gym during workout: I’d say that this is the bread and butter of this brief. The fact that the mesh is cool and breezy and the anatomical pouch is very supporting allowed me to have free range of motion in a very well constructed brief.

I’m definitely a pouch snob. Read this and you’ll understand why. My underwear collection is almost exclusively ergonomical in pouch nature. I’ve never worn CLEVER before. This made me nervous about whether the pouch on this brief would actually turn out to be anatomical. The first thing I did when I slipped them on was take notice of the inner sewn elastic that separates the body of the brief from the pouch. I relaxed and realized that CLEVER had me in mind when they made this brief.

The construction on the brief is top notch. The pattern is super man-sexy. There is a center line going up the butt area to give you an added lift. An incredibly soft metallic gold waistband accentuates the design. The sizing was spot on for what was advertised. What else can a man ask for? NOTHING!

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX RECOMMENDATION: My wife actually came up with the idea that this brief could be worn as a swim brief if you got in a bind. The great pattern is not completely transparent and leaves enough to the imagination to make most people salivate. The lightweight mesh dries very quickly when wet and the overall construction is solid. We’re moving to Hawaii in the next couple of months. Who knows, maybe I’ll wear them surfing some day soon.  Follow me on Twitter @manatomicallyme to see if I get brave and post a picture!
