Men’s Underwear

full-kit-gear-steam-briefs-27Holy hotness! Full Kit Gear debuted these jock briefs at last month’s IML and they were an immediate hit and now you can get them at Jockstrap Central. We’re not entirely sure where the name STEAM BRIEF comes from but it could be based on some of the stunning steampunk color combinations but it’s most likely because the open back design displays your bubble butt to perfection and lets you ventilate when things get steaming hot. Here’s the details:

The front is like a mid-rise brief with a generous contoured pouch design. The fabric is mostly cotton with a hint of Elastane so the fit is flawless. The back is a brief-style back but with the ass cut out.

With a solid base color with contrasting piping that edges the pouch and rear-opening showcasing and highlighting everything you’ve got.

If all that weren’t enough, the waistband is pretty spectacular too: It’s got multiple contrasting color horizontal sports stripes with the iconic FK logo front and center.

This is the epitome of sports fetish underwear made with Full Kit Gear’s usual impeccable attention to detail and quality – all this for only $24!

It’s great for everyday underwear, play, or next week’s underwear party – this open back brief is sure to make you feel your best and turn a lot of heads! And speaking of turning heads – head over to Jockstrap Central and check out their hot n’ hairy ginger muscle cub Zack Acland in the new gear – he certainly does that open back justice – grrrr

Hello Kinksters,

I hope you are all doing well. This past week was a great week. I started working on a new and exciting skill with my duo trapeze partner (if you’re new to the game, I’m a professional circus artist). I also got to see Cirque Du Soleil’s Kurios, which I can verify, is quite awesome (the first featured act is my favorite). Lastly, the thing that led me to today’s post, is that I got hired to work (I’ll be vague for fun) a bachelorette party. My coworker and I, both gentlemen of the highest regard, want to dress up fancy and formal for them. At the time, I was also wondering what to write about for Fetish Friday. When I remembered an item I received from Maskulo a couple weeks ago, that I was waiting to write about. Today, I’m going to profile, Maskulo’s Rubber Look Boxer Briefs in Black… What I’d like to rename…

Fetish Friday’s Official L.B.D. (Little Black Drawers).

MaskuloLBD1

Now for those of you who don’t know the L.B.D. It is a term used in women’s fashion to abbreviate the term “Little Black Dress”. It is reserved for simple black dresses that are not too flourishy. But have enough allure to work in any style environment. They cannot be too plain, but they can’t be gowns either. This Maskulo Boxer Brief in my mind is the fetishy Little Black Dress Drawers.  Because while it is simple and elegant. It is still very sexy, and the pouch and fabric give it that extra edge to be elevated from a 4B (Basic Black Boxer Briefs). Ok, maybe I’m just having too much fun with word play.

MaskuloLBD2

Maskulo’s Boxer Briefs are made out of a leather-like spandex material (80% Nylon/20% Spandex). They have their signature white background waistband with Maskulo woven right onto the front and center. The part that is uniquely Maskulo is the pouch. Front and center is their quilted pouch, sewn down the sides and base, but open in the top. This is to give assistance with getting your package through the inner pouch wall. Which sits flat on the body and has a horizontal slit to lift your junk out front and center into the contoured pouch. (See below for diagram)

MaskuloLBD5

I love this pair so much. The fabric while leather-look is super light and breathable. The pouch is super sexy as every Maskulo pouch I have has been. They make my butt look fantastic (I like to say I’m starting with a really high quality canvas, but the art is great too). It could go well in a spandexy look, a leathery look (throw a harness on and call it a day). Maybe a sexy waiter role-play (just add a bow-tie). Or you could just wear it under your dress pants for the day and feel extra sexy.

MaskuloLBD4

The pair goes for $52 USD on the MASKULO site. I need to acknowledge how much I love them. When I first agreed to helm the Fetish Friday column and make it a regular weekly piece. I wrote to every company I could think of, trying to make connections, andBMaskulo was one of the first to write back.  They have been so gracious and helpful, not just in offering products to write about. but to discuss their mission statement and their human rights work. A great A+ for customer service to the Maskulo team.

Ok my kinky lovelies, go out there and feel sexy and fantastic.

Until next time folks,

Keep it kinky!

TtheAmazing, over and out (and proud!)

This pair was furnished for this review by Maskulo.

Guest: Salvatore

Beau: We’re back drawing up our perfect drawers on the Pouch Couch. This week Salvatore is painting us a Pouch Perfect Picture.

Beau: What is the most important thing you look for in a pouch?

Salvatore: Because I am totally into the anatomical pouch—actually obsessed, this is key and crucial for my selection of underwear.  Certain brands specialize in this natural feel and look. Other brands sometimes stumble upon the same affect accidentally.

Beau: What defines the perfect pouch in your mind?

Salvatore: Synonyms for “perfect pouch”—Anatomical, Ergonomical, Natural: These words define my perfect pouch.

Beau: Do aesthetics play a role in picking out a pair/pouch?

Salvatore: I’d have to say that aesthetics plays a small role.  Everyone wants to look great in underwear.  However, the comfortable feel of hanging naturally in your underwear is the key selling point for me.

Beau: What are some examples of great pouches?

Salvatore: One discovery that I made several months ago was N2N’s Lounge Brief was on clearance, so I bought a pair. N2N has an anatomical line known as NHance.  The Lounge Brief does not belong to that line. I expected to not be able to wear the Lounge Brief, but they were so cheap, so I bought a pair anyway. When I put them on, the modal fabric was so slinky that the anatomical affect happened. I was shocked and went and bought every other color that they had in the brief. This is probably one of my top 10 briefs of all time. I discovered their awesomeness by accident. The N2N 2016 Spring Line added three new colors. I’m sure I will be making the purchase soon.

Beau: Which brands make your favorite pouches?

Salvatore:

  • N2N NHance
  • Anything Obviously
  • Anything Ergowear (Awesomeness!)
  • John Sievers is incredible!
  • Agacio
  • Bodyaware has some great anatomical undies (I like some of their more skimpy tangas)
  • Andrew Christian Almost Naked
  • Clever has a couple of pairs
  • Sukrew

TO NAME A FEW

Beau: Yaass! I love a good Pouch List.

Beau: Where do you stand on structure vs. flexibility?

Salvatore: Anatomical pouches are designed to give your boys the natural structure the way they were created to hang.  The flexibility comes in the type of fabric used in the underwear. This is not an either/or for me.  It is a both/and.  Excellent anatomical pouches are both structured and flexible.

Beau: Have your pouch preferences changed at all over time?

Salvatore: Definitely! 25 years ago, when I started my underwear collecting obsession, I bought whatever I could get my hands on. About 6 or 7 years in, I was introduced to Undergear’s Contour Collection. This led to 2(x)ist and Calvin Klein’s contoured pouches. I thought I was in pouch heaven.  In 2011, I received my first pair of truly Anatomical Pouch Briefs from the Andrew Christian Almost Naked line.  I WAS TOTALLY HOOKED.  Since then, I have ditched nearly 100 pairs of non-anatomical pouch underwear and replaced nearly my entire collection.  I AM AN ANATOMICAL POUCH EXPERT!

Beau: Are there examples of pouches that aren’t functional but “fun” that you own?

Salvatore: No.  I don’t own anything but Anatomical Pouches.

Beau: Some people would classify those under “fun” so we’ll call that even!

Beau: Anything else you’d like to add to the pouch?

Salvatore: I recently met someone on Twitter that asked about my expertise in Anatomical Pouches.  He decided to order a pair. Upon receipt, he threw all of his underwear away and has started exclusively owning anatomical pouches. They have a way of driving you to do insane things.

If you are interested in the journey, I recommend buying one of each of the three pouches that Ergowear makes.  They know pouches, do them as well as anyone else, and give you enough variety to test your limits.

You can follow me on Twitter @manatomicallyme and pick my brain about my obsession.  Thanks for reading!

Beau: Alright, whoever gets Salvatore for Secret Santa this year knows exactly what kind of undies to get him. This continues to add to the great conversations we’re having on the Pouch Couch. I myself tend to not favor the anatomical pouches so it is so great to hear much more about them.

Next week we’re joined by the one and only Nate, right here on the Pouch Couch.

Well not exactly but their new collection is called Poseidon. It brings a mesh pair into the line up. But don’t worry, it’s a mesh pouch not fully mesh. Jason at 2EROS just creates amazing color combinations and styles. Every line builds from what he’s learned in previous ones. And I really love this line.

Here is what 2EROS says about the new new collection.

Poseidon features 2EROS CURV Technology which offers unrivalled comfort and an enhanced but natural lift. This collection has fishnet like mesh, exposing parts of your V line and a single layer front pouch. Poseidon’s bold colour palette combined with its daring and revealing design is alluring and seductive and not for the faint hearted.

What is the 2EROS CURV Technology? More brands are starting to pay attention to the pouch. This is partly, I feel, the brands want great underwear and customers are wanting a great pouch. The official definition is “is designed with a single layered scoop which lifts, contours and shapes everything in a natural way. The CURVed shape of the bodywear pouch is designed to not only give you a natural lift but to create a ‘contact-less’ support to reduce chaffing and sweating. Every pair of 2EROS is ergonomically designed to give you the right amount of room and support in all the right places.” This is an initiative we fully agree.

The new collection comes in brief, jock and trunk. These are pretty standard styles for 2EROS. Each pair has a mesh panel. The brief has a panel that goes around the back. It shows off just enough at the top. This design element they have used in some of their swimwear. It’s a signature of the brand. The trunk has mesh sides that go around the back but leaves a lot more to the imagination. Lastly is the jock. It just has two mesh panels on the side.

This is a super fun line. It will be released in the next week! Stay tuned for more!

The Bottom Drawer Underwear Collection and ManagementA reader asked about the size of our collections and how we manage them in terms of deciding what to keep, what to wear on a daily basis, etc. Here’s kind of how I handle mine. First off, I use to think I had a large collection of underwear. That perception changed some, since I started blogging. I’ve heard the amount of what others have and it seems I need to go on a buying binge. At the moment I’m approaching 175 pairs of bikinis and thongs. I’m slightly weighted more towards bikinis than thongs, but not by much.

I first separate my underwear into what I call old, but still good to wear and then my good ones. So I have about 125 I consider good and 50 I consider old. Now the old pairs I wear more when I’m planning on getting sweaty, since sweat can be hard on the material and elastic. The good obviously would be my everyday pairs. When does good become old and old become retired? Basically old underwear gets retired if the elastic is shot or develops a hole. Good underwear becomes old if it has been around a while, fades, or gets discolored. Also any general signs of wear or one I don’t really wear much and don’t care about.

What I choose to wear for the day normally just depends on my mood in the morning. If I’m in the mood for a thong I go for it otherwise it will be a bikini. Some days I want a real nice snug fitting pair; other days just whatever. If I know I’m going to be active like playing a sport then it will be a great supporting pair. If I know I might be seen in my undies then I most likely won’t go too crazy with my choice. Typically that means no thong and nothing too loud or sheer. I’m finally past the point that I don’t care too much if I’m seen in a bikini that is a little on the skimpy side. Now it doesn’t mean I try to let the world see, but if someone gets a peek so be it. Next step is to get to that point with a thong. I’m not one to match my underwear to my outfit. I have enough trouble matching tops and bottoms as is. I try to match for the holiday or occasion, since my wife points out when I don’t. That’s the general idea on how I manage my undies.

The Billy line from aussieBum has become a staple of the brand. Since the release of the first pair, the Billy has been known for really fun prints. Now the range comes in Eternity and Skulls. These definitely live up to the past pairs of the style. Remember the 80’s inspired prints?

The Billy is for the guy who wants a minimal waistband. I know we have plenty of readers who are not big fans of a waistband. It also has one of the best examples of a modern bikini. The cut has no fly, in a brief cut and the minimal waistband makes it complete. The hipster was released shortly after the brief. It has the same minimal waistband as the brief.

The Eternity line is a bandana print. Meaning it looks like a classic bandana. At least that’s the way I see it. You could say it is sort of a paisley print as well. It’s one type of print that is rarely used in underwear. We see it pop up every now and then. aussieBum really put their spin on it and it came out great! Colors are Black, Navy, Ice and red.

If you aren’t a fan of the Eternity maybe the Skulls is for you. It’s not as morbid as you might think. Skulls in underwear can be very hit or miss for me. The ones I tend to like are the Day of the Dead inspired ones. These are more traditional but not too creepy. I would say it takes a certain kind of guy to pull these off! Colors are Blue, Black, Aqua and Red

The pairs retail $13.50 for the brief and $14.25 for the hipster. Also you can find the Billy in other colors and prints on the aussieBum site. Now go shop for some awesome undies from down under! Also be sure to check out the new swim ranges!

IMG_5931The pair of the week is the Baskit Ribbed Brief. Here is what Baskit has to say about the pair:

Our Ribbed collection provides great style. With our wide-ribbed fabric design and superior support, you’re left feeling free and less constricted due to the elasticity of the ribbed fabric construction. Our Briefs are known for their amazing pouch fit and a great low profile on your waist, drawing attention to your best assets without sacrificing comfort.

IMG_5724WebCellblock 13 is one of the go to pairs for fetish wear. Over the years we have seen football pants, harnesses, singlets and more! It’s a brand that is as much fun to wear as it is to see. One of the newest lines is the Dark Room. And what happens in the dark room stays in the dark room!
What sets the Dark Room collection apart from the other Cellblock 13 collections is the mesh. The mesh is nylon/spandex mesh that is 100% see through. But don’t let that scare you. Each of the pouches is made out of solid material. It’s one of the sexiest pairs I think Cellblock 13 has ever made.
I say this because its not “fetish wear’ that you couldn’t wear as underwear. Sometimes you get something fetishy and it can only be worn in certain instances. The Dark Room could be worn on a date or a night out. If you get lucky and take off your pants you shouldn’t get any strange looks. But hopefully rather “OMG those are sexy.”
One of the big things I love about this line is the waistband. It’s a new waistband with the cellblock name with big 13 in red. I’m a big waistband guy and it definitely can make or break a pair. This one definitely makes it for me.
The Dark Room is available in 3 bodies, Jockstrap, Jock-Trunk and Low Rise Brief. Also it is available in three colors, Blue, Green and Red. The Jockstrap retails for $24, Low Rise Brief $28 and the Jock-trunk is $30 at the Cellblock 13 site! Go wear some mesh and have some fun!
BRAND: Cellblock12
LINE: Dark Room
STYLE: Jock, Jock-Boxer and Low Rise Brief
COLORS: Blue, Green and Red
FABRIC: cotton/spandex  & nylon/spandex mesh
SIZES: Small – XL
COST: $24, $28 & 30

Website V2 Template Large Model-04Three years on from the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh and the ugly side of fashion hasraised its head again. This time in the form of Beyonce’s new Ivy Park label and accusations of 63 cents an hour sweat shop factory workers.

Labels are happy to spend vast sums of money on celebrity endorsements and social media selfies, but are far less keen to say how and where the clothing is made. Behind the scenes cost savings and aggressive margin targets are regularly applied. This is like building a skyscraper and skimping on the foundations to afford a nicer façade. Unfortunately customers are kept in the dark until the next scandal unfolds.

British label Drake & Hutch believes change is long overdue and plans to save the world one pair of pants at a time!

They have broken away from the traditional closed door retail model and instead offer full transparency in production.  A simple idea, from cotton grower to garment maker, every stage of production is advised for each luxury pair of pants they make.

Founder Pete McGuinness spent two years traveling the world looking for suppliers who shared his passion for high quality comfort and it became clear those with the happiest staff, who are treated well and paid fair wages, produced the best quality clothing.

He explains: “once I spent three hours talking with the floor manager of our Italian partner mill and soon realised he was as passionate about the fabrics he was weaving as he was about his beloved AC Milan. It’s enthusiasm like this at every stage of production that gives us pride in telling the story behind how and where we make.”

This is a small step in the right direction and one we hope will become the norm as opposed to the exception. Being open and honest about how and where clothing is made gives power back to the customer and this is where the drive for change must come from. We believe putting on the right pants in the morning is as good a place to start as any!

You can find more information about Drake & Hutch and their transparency policy online at drakeandhutch.com/suppliers.

aussieBum has released a new range called Body Denim. Which are “engineered undies.’ aussieBum says “BodyDenim” is the newest in print innovation by aussieBum. The denim inspired print is featured on the entire garment with both the body and waistband being custom engineered. The first of its kind in bringing outerwear fashion closer to your body, this product is now available in brief, hipster and long-leg hipster styles, in three striking colours.”

The first thing I think is amazing is the waistband. It looks like the entire pair is printed as one print. From what I can tell on the aussieBum site, the waistband is printed separate from the rest. The button and belt looks are super cool to me. Its amazing how they have it look like it’s one material and print.

One other thing they did that I love is the pocket. There is a rear pocket on each pair. This includes the brief. Also, when you look around back there is an aussieBum label, just like the leather label on jeans. Its a detail that a brand like aussieBum doesn’t over look. The last detail that I like is the distress each print has with the denim. It looks like it’s a well worn pair of jeans.

There are three different colors of denim in this range. It’s regular denim, faded denim and black denim. My personal favorite is the faded denim. It’s just sexier to me than the other pairs, but that’s just my opinion.  It comes in three different styles as well. They are brief, hipster and L-leg. The first two are staples of many aB lines. The L-leg is the newer boxer brief they have released. The pairs retail for $27.50 for brief, $30.99 for hipster and $34.50 for the L-leg.

Each of these fun pairs is available at the aussieBum site. See the pictures below!

Hello Kinksters,

I hope you have transitioned into June with happiness and yummy bulges. I had a wonderful birthday on Friday. I received a bunch of yummy goodies over the weekend that you’ll be reading about in the future. Still no response from Aarin Asker…if you have a lead, let me know. Thinking over this holiday weekend, it was full of American spirit. I even slightly-accidentally wore my new navy blue shorts with white stars on them with my red striped t-shirt (I don’t do themed holiday wear…ever). I was thinking of what to write for this week, and I was thinking what kind of fetish could be considered American.

It came to me, the idea of the classic American football stud. It’s a slightly different idea than the wrestling singlets, or even just the speedos. It’s over-saturated with cultural appreciation, and that doesn’t stop at the sexy-time bedroom. There are a lot of menswear out there that is designed to help you achieve that sports player look for your lover’s (or your) fantasy. Let’s not go into the fact that it’s unlikely a football player would bring his uniform to the bedroom for sexy time. (if any pro football players read this and you HAVE done this, email me you kinky stud, I wanna interview you). While I don’t personally have a thing for the football look (i’m more a Tom Daley fan than a Tom Brady fan). I will hereby share some of my fav football inspired looks if you wanna do some role-play with your favorite tight end (come on, I had to throw at least ONE of these horrible puns in).

FootballJackAdams

This first one is from Jack Adams. It is the Footballer Lace-up Jockstrap. I would say this is most traditional of the three I’m showing you (I don’t actually know anything about true football wear, so this is purely my judgement). It has 6 grommets so you get three of the very iconic crotch lace crosses (say that 5 times fast).

FootballAndrewChristian

This next one is the Show-It Football Brief from Andrew Christian. It doesn’t exactly read as true football wear. But it might be good if some gay nightclub was having a sports night or something. Having said that, I think this one would be more comfortable if you wanted to wear it to the gym or something underneath some shorts.

FootballCellblock13

This last one is my favorite (maybe also cause of the model Derek Parker). It is the Renegade Defender Pant Jock from Cellblock 13. This one serves you the biggest amount of football jock realness. You get the lace up pouch, the striped waistband, and the leg pad trump l’oeil. I think that’s the trifecta of football jock sexy time roleplay.

Anyway, my sexy people, I can officially say I spent a small part of my life thinking about football now. Hope you have all the wonderful times, Pride month is upon us, so I’m sure there will be yummy bulges every which way you turn.

Until next time folks, keep it kinky.

TtheAmazing over and out (and proud).

Pouch Couch, pouch couch, let’s all talk on the Pouch Couch! Hey readers, remember you can always do more than read UNB, post, comment, share and like us all over. Personally (shameless self-promotion) I can be found on Twitter @underloverwear. Be a part of it all!

Now today we have the amazing reviewer and writer Undies Rock with me on the Pouch Couch. Let’s strip down to it.

BEAU: Describe to me your perfect pouch?

Undies Rock: Definitely a seam free pouch, with a good solid cup that stays in place all day and doesn’t stretch out on the sides.

BEAU: What stands out for good or bad to you with pouches?
Undies Rock: It usually depends on my mood/activity, but my biggest pet peeve (always) is center seams.  I don’t know why but they don’t appeal to me visually, and I find them uncomfortable.

BEAU: Walk me through the balance as it applies to the power of aesthetics for you.

Undies Rock: Always & forever!  Although comfort is king, underwear is supposed to look cool ;-). I think ultimately I want to feel confident and comfortable with what I’m wearing, and I’d have to dig the pair to do so.
BEAU: Let’s get some examples out for the Couch, what’re some great pairs or examples in your mind?
Undies Rock: Oooo good question:

-for a loose anatomical pouch I am fan N2Ns air collection (in fact all of their pouches!)

-for a more solid pouch for sports I have been really into JM pouches
BEAU: Do you have brand loyalties when it comes to Pouches?

Undies Rock: Currently: N2N, JM, Armani, CK

BEAU: Do you want structure or flexibility?

Undies Rock: I think it depends on the activity, by typically I like a good balance.  I don’t want the pouch to be too flexible to where I don’t feel any support, but I also don’t want to be too constrained.

BEAU: Any Pouch evolution for you over time?

Undies Rock: Ohhh definitely.  For example, when I first viewed N2Ns cuts, they looked too think and loose, but the picture was crystal clear after I tried a couple cuts as to why they are so awesome.  I guess I try to keep an open mind even as much as I can if the styles aren’t up my alley.

BEAU: When functionality isn’t an issue what tops the list:

Undies Rock: For the most part a majority of the underwater I own is functional, but I do have few pairs that are more for show.  But I don’t think the pouch is the issue as much as the style and material are.

Beau: Thanks Undies Rock for stripping down your pouch likes and dislikes on the Pouch Couch! My next guest to plant his cheeks on the Pouch Couch will be Salvatore, stick around!

TravelWhen traveling, picking out the right clothes to bring can be difficult.  Underwear is no exception. By the time you all read this, I will most likely be on vacation. Driving down the winding fiver roads that follow the mighty Mississippi river. I thought it would be interesting and useful to take the time to discuss what I look for in a good travel pair, and why.

Since I’ve got to find someway to fit 10 days worth of clothes into a tiny suitcase, let’s talk about size. If, like me, you are cramped for space.  Or want more space in your luggage to bring stuff back. Choosing different kinds of underwear can be helpful. Skimpier styles, like jocks and thongs take up far less space than say, boxer-briefs. If you wanted to go extreme, I bet you could fit 3 times as many g-strings in a space as boxer briefs. While I won’t be going this route, I will be leaving my bigger pairs behind.

Sometimes though, skimpy pairs can be a hindrance. For instance, the climate of where you are traveling to can have a major impact on what kind of underwear you’d take with you on your trip. I know I wouldn’t want to wear a g-string in alaska, nor would I wish to be in a pair of long legged boxer briefs in abu dabi.

There is more to picking the perfect travel pair than just the style. How comfortable the pair is can be very important.
Comfort really matters if you are on a plane flight or a long car ride. Wearing annoying underwear can make getting there even more of a drag. It can take away from being at your destination. So be sure to pack your most comfortable pairs so nothing will distract or detract from your trip. For me, that means even though I adore my bikinis and thongs, I leave them in home in favor of more sensible pairs.

It can also depend on who you are going with. If you are like me, not many people know about your underwear habits. So you’d rather not someone discover it. For instance, by seeing a bright green thong in your suitcase. Sometimes, like traveling with family, you may have to live up to expectations instead of brining what you really want to wear.

So what am I taking with me on my trip? Well, i’ve got no temperature restrictions, but I am going with family. Top of my list is every pair iv’e got with a functional fly. That can come in handy when nature call’s on a hike in the woods. After that, it really comes down to good reliable, comfortable pairs. I may sneak in something fun, haven’t decided yet.

A lot of this is common sense, but it does bear repeating. Though at the end of the day, like always, the pairs that you should bring on a trip should be pairs that you want to wear. Ones that you love to wear. Because that ‘s what wearing great underwear is all about, right?
