I purchased the Daniel Alexander Brazilian Back String Bikini  in purple, blue, and black.

Rating: 5.8/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 6/10
  • Sizing: 4/10
  • Construction: 6/10
  • Styling: 6/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros:

  • Polyamide/Spandex blend fabric feels nice
  • Back style hugs and accentuates butt
  • Feels good for long term wear

Cons:

  • Sizing is off-I could probably wear an XS if it were available
  • No pattern colors available
  • Waistband does not stretch at all

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: If you like tiny, almost not there bikini underwear, this is the pair for you.  The Brazilian Back String Bikini from Daniel Alexander feels great against the skin, doesn’t over-accentuate your package by lifting it out in the front, and feels rather sexy hugging your butt all day.  I love the way it features a tiny Brazilian back with tiny ¼” string sides that would almost be more at home on the beach than under a pair of dress slacks!

I haven’t worn Daniel Alexander in the past, so I decided to give them a try with the Brazilian Back String Bikini.  I am normally a thong wearer, but allow myself to try other things from time to time, and this skimpy bikini sounded like it would fit the bill.  If I’m not going to wear a thong, I typically want to wear the slinkiest pair of underwear that I can find.  This style from Daniel Alexander was definitely tiny!  I looked forward to wearing this pair after placing my order, and planned to wear them first on a normal workday as I do most of my new styles.

I have worn these underwear numerous times to work, out shopping with the wife, and lounging around the house.  For leisurely activities, these work great, but they are pretty tiny and don’t really offer much support, so I don’t think they’d be very well suited for wearing to workout or on a run.  These feel great against the skin, and gently hug your package and butt.  The only downfall to the style is the material used for the waistband isn’t very stretchy, so they don’t fit as tightly as I like.

These underwear are constructed very well-after numerous outings in them I haven’t noticed any stretching or stitching coming unraveled.  The fabric used is a polyamide/spandex blend that feels nice against the skin, and doesn’t require any special care.  The pouch on this pair is a flat front design, so you can feel free to wear these under any type of pants without the fear of them showing off too much.  The pouch holds your package in a downward position and is not a push out design.  The rear of the suit is a Brazilian design and doesn’t cover very much.  They feature a flat coverage back and are not gathered or bunched in the rear.  I like the fact that they are as skimpy as they are-it’s exactly what I was looking for in a Brazilian cut.

I bought these in a size small, as I do all of my underwear.  I normally wear a size 31-32 in dress pants and have found that for most styles a small fits me well.  This style is an exception-they fit well everywhere other than the waist.  I think it is due to the material used for the waistband not being very stretchy.  If I had to make any suggestions to Daniel Alexander concerning this style I would recommend that they replace the waistband with a different style or fabric.

In the past, I wouldn’t of really been too excited about a simple bikini style like this one.  However, after reviewing a couple of pairs, I am a Brazilian bikini fan!  If you like small bikinis, don’t let this one pass you by.  The only downfalls to this pair of underwear are the straps not being very stretchy and the sizing being off.  If you wear a larger size, give this pair a try and perhaps size down when ordering.  Drop me a line in the comments if you try a pair!

Manstore Brand Intro

It appears the Manstore brand started back in 1969 by Paco Rabanne and Hans Schöller. Then upon Hans death in 1995, the brand looked like it wouldn’t survive. However in 1996, Olaf Benz’s Alfons Krauzer stepped in and took over the brand. So today it has similarities to the Olaf Benz brand. The Manstore brand is in the premium underwear brand bracket, which makes sense with it being with the same company as Olaf Benz. Both brands have styles that look pretty similar but Manstore is weighted towards or described more as fetishwear.

I wouldn’t personally call them a complete fetish brand, but I can see some items considered fetish wear. The products made out of sheer fabrics, lace, leather-like, shiny rubber looking fabric, and even velvet I can see people considering fetish. Then some have metal rings, snaps, zippers, and even easy release buckles on the sides, which also may be considered fetish like. Then there are a few designs in general that could be placed into fetishwear. I think they have a good mixture of fetish like wear and so called regular underwear. Their styles include bikinis, thongs, briefs, trunks, boxers, leggings, shirts, and bodysuits. They do not offer any swimwear that I have seen. Manstore offers some prints in their lines, but seems to be mostly solid colors.

Manstore does describe themselves as lascivious luxury. Which you could translate into fetishwear, since both are related to arousing sexual desires. Though really so called non fetish wear underwear can bring the same desire. Manstore says their underwear pampers you like a second skin. They have the passion for quality and design like Olaf Benz. They are a brand I would like to try at some point. You can read about the history of the brand here. Have you tried the Manstore brand? What are your thoughts on it? Do you consider it a fetish brand?

Hey guys, Underweardude here. I hope you enjoyed a look at my underwear drawer last week. This week we are taking a look at the underwear drawer of another guy here at UNB, UNBRyan. Here is what he has to say:

As you can see, my favorite color is pink! I have a mix of thong and tanga styles along with a couple pairs of briefs. I also wear thong swimwear and have many pairs in my underwear drawer.
After I collected about 50 pairs of underwear and swimwear I decided it was time to get organized. I was never able to find the pair I wanted and it was hard to keep them in the drawer. Every time I pulled a pair out I’d get two or three along with. I looked around and found the storage solution in the attached picture. It allows me to separate underwear by style and color, and I can easily see what I have available to wear for the day. I am usually able to stuff a couple of pairs into each compartment and still see what I’ve got for the day.
Thanks, Ryan! Look to see more underwear drawers of other UNB personalities in the coming weeks. Want to join in and show off your collection? Send a photo of your drawer, as well as an optional paragraph about you, your collection, organization, or anything else related to your underwear drawer, to info@underwearnewsbriefs.com, with “Drawer” on the subject. I can’t wait to see everyone’s awesome collection. Big or small, we want to see them all!

Made out of a plaid, flannel looking shirt with a hood and ears. Paired with a denim look, pair of briefs. Now, this is one pair you could definitely wear out on the town. $32.48 at CandymanFashion

Pilot Costume – They have had a pilot costume before. It was a bit more conservative. Made out of a tie and boxer briefs. This time you can fly the friendly skies with a pilot in a thong. Vampire Costume – The Pilot isn’t the only one getting a 2.0 refresh. The Vampire has a new design as well. This is very much the “Interview with a Vampire” type of feel. At least to me it does. It has a high color and a mini cape. The briefs have red lace over a black body with a cutout/lace up in the back. $27.48 at Candyman Fashion

Firefighter Costume – It’s time to rescue someone with this Firefighter costume! Bust down the door and rescue the trapped person. Made with a lace brief and safety stripe on the front. The neckband is another safety reflector and topped with a hat! It’s not standard issue uniform. $37.48 at Candyman Fashion

These are the new ones. There are some of your favorites still there! But enjoy and have fun this Halloween.

UNB is 9 Today! It’s been a roller coaster ride over the past nine years. There have been ups and downs, like most things in life. But, I tend to remember the good things that have happened. UNB was formed a little before now, but it wasn’t UNB. I had a personal blog that I posted underwear stuff on. Then on October 5th, 2008 I registered the domain! And the rest is history!

Here are some things that have been the highlights of UNB

  • Friends – Have made so many friends in the men’s underwear industry. They range from brands, retailers, readers and current/former staff members. I have surrounded myself with good people, and I hope it shows. The men’s underwear industry is an amazing group of people.
  • Straight guys – When I launched UNB 9 years ago I kept things very middle of the road. I always hoped that straight guys would read the blog and fall in love with undies as I had so many years ago. Well, not only did this happen but it happened way bigger than I thought it would. Our staff has a majority of straight guys. Our past asst. editor and also our current one is straight (the current is ThongedGinger).
  • Travel/Las Vegas – I love to travel, and since 2010 I have fallen in love and gotten to know Las Vegas. The current situation makes me very sad because I know the area very well. My thoughts go out to the family of those killed an injured. I won’t get political, but if you’re on my personal Facebook you know… I also have traveled to Los Angeles and other places to meet with brands and men’s underwear people.
  • Steve Grand – Our interview with him has been the biggest post we have ever done. It got picked up by so many media outlets because he addressed the swim briefs directly. We haven’t had much follow up with him since the interview. We intended to show a public figure not afraid to wear them and get other guys to wear them. I don’t think he or we thought it would get so big. We still love Steve and hope he’ll do a follow-up interview with us. Right after the interview, he wanted to be known for talent and not swim briefs. Now he’s embraced it and still looks awesome in a swim brief.
  • Underwear/Swimwear – being exposed to so many underwear companies I would never have known about if I didn’t run an underwear blog. This includes brands seeking us out and us working with them. There is such innovation in the market, and each year it keeps getting more creative.
  • UNB Guys – Thanks to all the current and former UNB guys. We have had so many guys over the years. They all made UNB what it is today. Each of them left an impact on the site and me. Many of the former guys I”m still in touch with and still friends with. I hope we grow this family more!
  • Readers – All this would be nothing if it wasn’t for our steady readers.  We have improved over the years and grown. If you look at our archives, you will see. Many of you have been with us since the beginning. The best one was the ThongedGinger read UNB in High School! He still gives me grief about some of the mess ups in the early days! I hope you guys keep reading and supporting us. I have no plans of stopping UNB anytime soon. We have been offered to be bought out, but I have always turned them down due to the love I have for the industry. Sometimes I get burned out, but I come back stronger than ever.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to UNB. This includes brands, retailers, staff, readers and the loved ones who always humor our underwear love! Here’s to 9 more years.

Hi, everyone, and welcome to the first post of a new ongoing series, entitled “Show us your drawers!”(Note: If you can think of a better name, feel free to use that instead.) This series is a place for you the reader to show of your collection and storage method. This will be a blast! We are starting off with a look at all the guys who make up UNBs’ drawers, beginning with..me!

I originally had all my underwear in the same place it had been for years: at the bottom drawer of a dresser, tossed in along with my socks. As my collection grew, I began wanting more space, and eventually became enamored with the idea of under-bed storage. I loved the idea of being able to roll over in bed in the morning, pull open a drawer, and pick out my pair for the day while still in bed. Sadly, while this pair of built in’s doesn’t make that dream a reality, it does hold all my pairs. The drawers don’t pull out all the way either, which means there are a few more pairs not seen in the picture and can make putting pairs in the back annoying. I have so many pairs I don’t just have one underwear drawer, but two!

The first picture is of my daily wear drawer. There you will find briefs, boxers, trunks, and a few semi-skimpy pairs. This si the stuff I wear day to day, the stuff I feel I would be ok to be seen in, etc. The organizer therein is one i’ve had for decades that was originally meant for socks I believe but was repurposed.

The other picture shows my skimpy drawer, with, left to right- jocks, thongs, and bikinis, as well as a small spot in the back left behind the jocks for pairs for special occasions. Also, yes, the bikinis and thongs are separated by those that have a waistband, and those that do not, thanks for noticing! The organizer in here is from Bed Bath and Beyond, but It doesn’t quite fit well enough. I guess that’s the downside about buying under the bed drawers that match your bed from a group that doesn’t offer organization for them. I like how everything looks folded, but I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it up. It’s a lot of work! I own slightly over 100 pairs, which can make laundry day a real pain in the butt.

Want to show us your underwear drawer? Send in your submission to info@underwearnewsbriefs.com with the word “Drawer” in the subject line, along with a photo of your underwear drawer and a short description if you would like. Check in next week for a look at another drawer from a UNB guy!

JOR is known for their amazing prints. Two of the newest are the Mojito and Havanna. Both have a latin influence. Mojito is the brighter of the two different prints. But, both are pretty awesome. Each set has tank, trunk, brief, short, mini short and swim brief. The Mojito has a swim trunk and the Havanna has a jock strap and thong.

JOR is known for creating lines that span udnerwear and swimwear. Which to me is pretty damn cool. Sometimes you wish your favorite undies were swim and vice versa. Mix in the tank and it’s a perfect mix of all three!

We have readers who LOVE thongs. So we would be doing a disservice to you guys if we neglected to cover the new Sukrew Full Bubble Thong. It’s kind of more like a G-string than a thong in the back. Which makes this pair super sexy! It’s just available in black or white but I”m sure the colors will expand soon.

This is what Sukrew says about the pair:

Curving down into a right-angled joint at the back, the waistband of the Full Bubble Thong shapes and frames the bum in ways you never thought possible. This connects to a fabric thong, offering far more comfort than a traditional G String. The pouch is more lifted and curved than our classic design, offering great support without restriction, and a rounded bulge that compliments the shape of the rear.

The pair is also available in the U version. If you aren’t familiar with the U version, it’s a pouchless design. So all your business will hang out! This has been pretty standard in all their lines. I have tried it in the trunk, brief, and jock. It’s definitely an interesting cut.

The pair is made out of 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane (excluding trims) blend. Making it super comfy like all the other pairs of Sukrew. As mentioned above it’s just in black and white. Lastly, this pair retails for £15.99. See this pair and the U Version!

As I said before I’m venturing back in the dating world. And no there have been no dates as of yet. There are a few guys that I have an interest in but nothing firm set. I am taking my time and letting things happen. Which I think is the most important. I am one of the few single guys on the site. The only other one that comes to mind is Undiesdude! Everyone else is married or dating.

We have two great brief talks coming up. One with UNB Mike talking the differences between gay and straight dating. Which I don’t think there is much of a difference in undies and dating, but we shall see. Then we have another great talk with one of the of our favorite guys on Twitter. I won’t say who it is just yet but he’s known for his honesty and love of undies. Plus, he’s written a few things on UNB. We will talk on the gay side of things!

The point of these talks is to address some of the issues guys face when they share their love of undies with someone they are dating. This will include those who are fans of underwear and those who are not. I have heard so many stories over the years, not just from straight guys, but from gay ones too. Their significant other either make snide comments about their underwear or laughs at them.

If this was to happen to me, the ride is over! I wear what I want to feel good about myself. If someone can’t accept that then I don’t need to be with them. I’m not saying they have to like everything I wear but if I put on a thong, singlet, or bikini. I expect them to be open to the styles. And not stop the moment with negativity. UNB has always been about positivity in men’s underwear and swimwear.

Just know UNB has your back and your love of what you want to wear. When you want to wear it! The Brief talks will be out in a few weeks. Stay tuned. I will be running a poll with both of them to ask you guys some questions.

The first style I ever fell in love with is bikinis. I loved the look and fit of them. They gave me the support I craved but lacked in the tighy whities from big box stores. When I turned 16 I got to buy all my undies. That meant no more white briefs and only bikinis in bright colors. It wasn’t till I was about 21 that I finally bought a pair of white undies. By the way, that pair was a white bikini. We flash forward many years and we may be on the next wave of bikinis in men’s underwear.

I predict this because underwear is not just or gay men anymore. As evident by our staff, more straight guys want the comfort of great underwear. They refuse to wear boxers or boxer briefs. They want support and fashion. This means they are experimenting with smaller styles. Then they discover how awesome they are!

Using purely unscientific methods, over the last few years, I have noticed a lot more bikinis coming out. If you follow the definition of Bikinisnthongs on Twitter, these fit that definition. One brand that has consistently had a bikini is Cocksox. The CX01 is their original and best seller. It’s one they, I think they will always sell.

Another brand that is great at producing bikinis is BodyAware. Look on their site right now and you will see Tangas, bikinis and more. One of my favorite bikinis I have is the Endowed Brief from BodyAware. It’s the true definition of bikini and fits great. This silhouette is in many pairs on the site. The Bodycon and Cowboy briefs are two of the bikinis they offer. Both are styles I would gladly wear.

I hear many of you going, yes but two brands don’t make a movement. Yes, that is true. The vast majority of brands don’t have traditional bikinis. They have briefs but nothing that is skimpy. This is not something we are going to have happened overnight. When I started UNB, boxer briefs were the craze in men’s underwear. Now we are moving to briefs and smaller trunks.

I think going forward the men’s underwear market is going to segmented. No longer into gay and straight but those who love undies and comfort and those who haven’t discovered it yet. I think I can officially say the gay/straight is gone. We are just guys who love amazing undies.

You’re here, reading a men’s underwear blog. You’re obviously open to and into different styles and fabrics than the typical Hanes boxer that 90% of your friends and co-workers wear. But would you wear…lace underwear.

I’m speaking from the perspective of a straight guy, but I think true lace underwear made for men has several advantages and reasons to wear regardless of your sexual orientation.

First, have you honestly ever worn anything lace? You know the saying ‘don’t knock it until you’ve tried it’? Gay or straight, don’t say anything bad about lace until you’ve worn it and can give a firsthand account. It’s the same discussion that always comes up about thongs, and we know that’s a rapidly growing segment.

I’m about to embark on my first journey into lace underwear in the next few weeks, and I couldn’t be more excited. Spend 5 minutes looking at women’s panties or lingerie. A ton of it is lace. Clearly, there’s something to it, whether it’s pure sexiness or actual comfort. Ask a girl why she wears a lace thong, and I guarantee it’s either she likes how sexy it makes her feel or how sexy it makes her look. Maybe it’s the best feeling material ever. If you’ve never worn it, you’d never know.

For a second point, maybe you’ve randomly tried on a pair of lace panties. Maybe it was a joke, on a dare, or just out of curiosity. But you thought it felt ‘weird’ or didn’t fit right or just felt wrong. I’d argue that if you tried a pair of true men’s underwear that just happens to be made out of lace you’d have a much more positive outlook. The concept of pouches and anatomically correct underwear has been the single biggest reason I’m so excited about underwear. Please…wear a pair of true men’s anatomical underwear, regardless of material, and THEN try to tell me it didn’t feel right.

Lastly, I understand some guys are embarrassed or ashamed to be caught wearing lace underwear or having it in your drawer. I know the first comment from most females if they find a black lace thong in your laundry or drawer is ‘whose panties are these???’ But if it has a male pouch or ‘Andrew Christian’ on the waistband, it makes it easier to explain that yes, the lace underwear belongs to you.

Those are all reasons why I’m excited to dive into lace underwear. Who knows how good it feels? The amount of female underwear made out of lace makes me positive that it has to feel amazing. I also think it looks hot as hell, regardless of who is wearing it. And I think the current reaction to it being so taboo or scandalous makes it that much hotter. The most mundane workday becomes fun when you’re wearing lace underwear that would make every coworker’s jaw drop if they knew what you’re wearing. I can’t wait. Stay tuned…

We love asking you guys poll questions and then sharing the results. The last poll was what did you wear last summer as swimwear. You guys told us and here are the results;

I”m super excited the swim brief was the style most worn. And that board shorts were down to the bottom! We may not be in the swim brief friendly place but more guys are wearing them. Then we asked did you wear a swim brief or thong for the first time.

I was not expecting such a large number of you would have tried swim thongs! More and more guys are wanting to wear these to the beach or pools. Many have skipped the brief and gone straight to the thong.  We asked guys what made them wear these styles for the first time. Here is what you guys told us.

  • To get the best possible tan and I figured I earned it working out so much. No one judges and people have been wearing them for a long time.
  • Don’t mind what others think. Wear what I like to wear.
  • Reduced tan line
  • Sexiness of the brief
  • I was in the Caribbean, so it made it easier to get away with wearing a thong.
  • Decided to take the plunge
  • I always wanted to wear a swim thong, but never had the place to do it. I wore one to a secluded beach and in my back yard, so freeing. Hope to do it more again soon.
  • Because it’s great. Big shorts are unnecessary. The sun, breeze, etc feels great why not expose as much skin as possible. Hopefully, I will get to wear a thong or be nude outdoors next summer
  • Love how they look and feel in me and other men
  • I finally built up the courage… I have worn thongs as underwear for years but was always nervous to in public. I was wearing a Joe Snyder thong which is also swimwear
  • I have worn thong underwear for a while and decided to finally give a swim thong a try

Thanks for sharing guys. We hope this will get more of you to wear a brief or thong!

Olaf Benz started its journey into men’s underwear in 1989. Founded by stylist and photographer Alfons Krauzer who still manages the designs for the lines. Olaf Benz differentiates itself by using the latest technologies, which will cover some of those innovations a bit later. The brand is certain that only an excellent product can create brand loyalty with customers. They believe their creativity is essential to this success.

Olaf Benz has quite a variety of styles in their collection. In underwear, they have the trunks also referred to as mini pants or hipsters. They offer briefs, but most are more a sports cut. There are different varieties of bikinis to choose from along with thongs (mini strings). Also in their lineup, you’ll find the boxer brief cut, boxers shorts, jocks, and leggings. Olaf Benz also offers quite a few options in swimwear. They got you covered with singlets or swim body suits and swim pants. Even have the swim shorts. There are square cut suits of varying leg lengths. Swim brief and bikini cuts of different side widths. Then for those that what cheek exposes, they have thongs too. They have a good selection of colors and prints throughout their offering.

Olaf Benz has several innovations in the swim and underwear realm. They introduced the first underwear series that can be scented individually with your personal fragrance. The warmth of the skin releases the fragrance that you applied to the integrated pad. They took an ultra fine mesh fabric developed for a Spacelab experiment and create their “Phantom” series with it. They integrated an indicator into swimming trunks to indicate when to reapply sunscreen. Depending on the UV intensity it changed color. One other example of innovation is they came up with a brief only weighing 14 grams instead of the ordinary underwear that can weigh up to 150 grams. Help save space and weight in the businessman’s luggage.

Expect to pay more for Olaf Benz items. They are more of a premium brand who prides themselves on using the finest and most innovative fabrics. Along with making their items with great care and skillful craftsmanship.

Have you tried the brand, Olaf Benz? If so let us know your thoughts on them in the comments.

Where to Buy: Deadgoodundies – Underwear, Deadgoodundies – Swimwear

I purchased the Joe Snyder Bulge Bikini in black lace on a whim because I found it on sale.

Rating: 7.6/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 6/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros:

  • Super soft lace fabric
  • Snug fitting stretchy pouch accentuates your package
  • Comfortable for all-day wear

Cons:

  • Some guys will be hesitant to wear a lace fabric
  • Fabric unraveled slightly after only two wears
  • Lace fabric only available in two colors

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: As an avid thong wearer, I cannot recommend this suit enough.  I normally wear thongs for underwear and swimwear and was hesitant to try a different cut, especially in a lace fabric.  The way Joe Snyder coupled the two components of this suit together is unique.  I thought that the lace fabric choice would be much more effeminate than it ended up being.  The lace just feels completely normal and doesn’t look out of place on my figure to me.  I also thought it would be much more uncomfortable and itchy to wear all day long.  The lace used in this suit is very soft and stretchy and stays in place all day long, which is a complaint I have had with trying bikinis in the past.  I will be purchasing more suits in lace fabrics!

I have come to appreciate and enjoy the Joe Snyder brand both as underwear and swimwear.  They are one of the brands that are a “crossover” between underwear and swimwear and give you the opportunity to wear them year round.  I have many pairs of Joe Snyder suits and various cuts and colors and will continue to buy from them.  The pair I am reviewing today is the Joe Snyder Bulge Bikini in black lace.  I was honestly a little hesitant to buy these due to both the cut and fabric choice, but for the cost, I had to give them a try and see what the fuss was all about.  I am normally strictly a thong wearer and do not usually stray away from them to try anything different, but the Joe Snyder brand has made me more curious about different styles.  While not as much out of my “comfort zone” as say a jock or a normal swim brief they are certainly not the norm for me due to the style and lace fabric!  I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the bikini cut coupled with the lace fabric.  The cut is well suited for long-term wear, and the lace fabric is very stretchy and feels gerat against the skin without being itchy like I thought a lace fabric might have been.

I have worn these on two separate occasions, once for a full day at work, and another on a date night to the movies.  Both times were an enjoyable experience, and I honestly forgot that I was wearing them.  These are not a constant reminder that you are wearing them, and just feel nice the entire time you have them on.  Even with the “bulge” feature they are not overtly pronounced under a pair of dress slacks or uncomfortable under a pair of jeans.  They hold your package in a semi-forward position without being so pronounced that you’d be self-conscious about wearing them under your clothes in public.  I liked the fit so much that I have already bought them in another color and will likely expand my collection further to include more in the future.

This suit is well constructed but didn’t live up to my expectations for the Joe Snyder brand.  I have bought many pairs of Joe Snyder underwear/swimwear, and this was the first pair I have personally seen that showed obvious signs of wear so quickly.  This pair started to unravel along one of the seams where the straps meet between the pouch and the back panel, and while I think it is partly due to the lace fabric, I still wasn’t 100% happy with the construction.  Putting the construction of this particular pair aside, I am in love with the cut of this suit, which is surprising, because I am a huge proponent of thongs!  The cut of this suit is super comfy for all day/night wear, doesn’t cut into your skin anywhere, and stays put remarkably well for a Brazilian style bikini and doesn’t ride up.

Joe Snyder suits and underwear have always been true to size for me.  I have bought numerous thongs, the current bikini, and various brief and boxer-style suits and a size small always fits the same.  This suit was no exception as I bought it in size small and it fit me perfectly.  From the waist sizing to the pouch, it fits very similar to any of the other Joe Snyder products.

To summarize, this is a well-constructed suit that can be worn year round.  The construction falls a little short of what I’ve come to expect from the Joe Snyder brand, but I’m hoping that it was an isolated incident and I won’t let it stop me from buying another pair.  If I could ask Joe Snyder to change anything I would say that I’d love to see more color or design choices in their lace fabrics.  Different, brighter choices and pattern variations would add a lot of diversity to this line.  Give this option a try in your rotation, and I am confident you will be surprised at how much you find yourself liking them!

I recently purchased this thong during Gregg Homme’s mid-summer sale

Rating: 10/10

  • Daily Fit: 10/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros: fabric is very good, waistband doesn’t bind or pinch, sits well and doesn’t move regardless of activity

Cons: the care instructions tag and the lack of color options

I am reviewing the Menz thong by GH, it was one of their newer lines that were introduced in spring. I have quite a few pairs of GH thongs and have generally loved all of them. This brand was indeed one that looked forward to sharing with everyone.

For this pair, I did a normal day’s work, some lounging, a little working out, and some sleeping. A full day for the normal male. I barely, if at all, noticed this pair during all my activities. I felt great during all my activities and have no complaints at all.

The construction is top of the line, I have never had an issue with GH’s underwear construction. The fabric was seemingly made to be worn during highly active activities. The pouch was not enhancing but plenty large enough, the seat was rather large but once placed no issues were encountered.

The pair was ordered in a medium, and they were true to size. Generally, I would advise for most men on the smaller side of a size to size down but these felt true to their size. The waist band and fabric have a pretty good stretch to them and can accommodate most.

This was a great pair for the money that I had paid and would definitely consider buying more at a later date if more color options were offered. True to size, very well made, and great for physical activities means these could be used for anything and everything. The Thonged Ginger recommends this thong to any and all men, who are looking for a luxury thong to wear.

Camo is one of those trends that isn’t going away. Each collection more and more brand find new prints and designs of camo. N2N Bodywear is one of those brands. They have had camo before. One of my favorite swim briefs was camo with an orange waistband. I still have it and wear it! The new line is called the Presidio!

You maybe asking if this is swim or underwear. It took me a second to look and see. This is new swimwear in a bikini and thong. We had several people ask if N2N was going to come out with more swim thongs this year. Ask and you shall receive. The two pairs are made with the xtreme n-hance pouch. As you can see it puts all your goods on display and out front. It is also unlined. Unlined will potentially show off more. For some, this is a bonus but just know that going in. Made out of an 83% nylon / 17% spandex blend.

The bikini is truly a bikini cut. I don’t think we will have much argument in that from those out there! I wish this would have come out earlier in the year. But I can see many of you on winter trips or cruises sporting this pair. As for the thong, we are having more guys wanting to wear them. The guys wanting to wear them has risen exponentially over the last year.

These were just released this week! Get them while they are hot! Don’t wait till next year to buy them. Find them at the N2N Website

When we last saw Mandies it was a few years ago. Remember the pictures of the pink undies in the amusement park? If you forgot we posted one above to refresh your memory. Mandies is a very fun, show it off kind of brand. Made in bright colors and interesting cuts. This collection continues that trend. We will cover a few of the pairs. You can see the entire collection on Candyman Fashion.

The collection is broken up into jocks, briefs, and the lone thong. JOCKS! Jocks are big in the collection. I would say the majority of the pairs are a form of jock. When I say a form of jock, it’s not the traditional jock you expect. They have taken the style and turned it on its head. Making jock briefs, classic jocks, and hybrids. One of the more interesting jocks is the MDS015 Sabatini-Princess Jockstrap. It’s a cross between a jock and boxer brief. The strap has a very interesting placement as well. If you are looking for something a little more classic try the MDS011 Bow Jockstrap. It’s a colorful and fun Jock Brief.

If briefs are your thing, there are a few good briefs in the collection. The briefs have some interesting cut outs. They are placed in the front and in the back. The MDS013 Casino Briefs have a slight cut out in the pouch and a more bikini cut. By bikini cut, we mean no fabric on the sides. Speaking of cut outs, if you like fun cut outs try the MDS005 Jacuzzi Briefs. This brief has the same cut as the Casino Briefs but two cut outs on each side in the back! Don’t worry if you want something with full coverage, get the MDS007 Marco Polo Briefs.

Lastly is the lone thong. The MDS019 Discotheque Thongs are a classic cut thong. The back looks a bit larger than most thongs. I’m not the thong expert on the site. It comes in just two colors. This collection isn’t heavy on the thongs. Maybe we will see more in the next collection.

Hey, everyone, it’s Underweardude. Clever is back with its new fall line up, and I’ve picked out a few pairs that I think are awesome! They’ve divided this season’s collection into six broad subjects: Print’s, Pick and go, Sport, Elite, Sexy, and Swimwear.

Clever has always done some fun prints, and this year is no exception with the pairs in their Print section. My favorite of the bunch is probably the Cosmopolitan, seen below as a brief but it’s also available as a boxer-brief. It’s probably the most understated print from Clever in this new collection, so if you are looking for something flashier you won’t be disappointed.

Pick and go looks like stuff meant for everyday wear, but with a Clever spin on things. While the Aura line sports a stylish and useful mesh rear, you’d mostly likely find me in the Grape colored Classy Icon Latin brief. I own several Clever Latin briefs in various colors myself, and I quite like them. They are quite a low rise but still feel very much like a pair of briefs. More basic boxers and briefs are available if that suits your tastes as well.

Sport sees the proliferation of mesh continue, as a majority of the pairs from this segment consist of close-knit mesh that doesn’t appear to be see through, in case you were worried. I like the look of the Spaceman brief myself. With the entirety of the rear made of mesh, you’ll never get overheated back there, or get the dreaded “swamp-ass.”

Elite seems harder to pin down than the other divisions, the pairs within all have a classy look to them. Mostly solid tones, my favorite of them being the green Navy Latin brief. It’s rare to see such a light shade of green grace men’s underwear.

Sexy is where Clever lets its designs go wild. See through mesh, skimpy bikinis, jocks, and thongs all dwell here. If I had to choose, I’d go with either the New Wave Brief, which harkens back to Clever’s old Romano Brief style, that has been missing from Clever’s lineup for some years now that I quite like, or the navy thong, with some fun color combinations. While brown isn’t usually my pick for the color of my underwear, the bright blue trim and logo on the waistband just pop for me, and I think they work well together.

Lastly, we have swimwear, with a bevy of fun prints. My favorite is the Summertime swimsuit Brief, particularly the rear. Such a nicely composed illustration, and a great use of color. I could easily see a print of this hanging on a wall somewhere.

So which pair would you wear? Be sure to let us know in the comments below, or let us know on twitter!

See the new collection at the Clever Moda site.

Doreanse Introduction

Doreanse is a brand I discovered recently and look forward to trying more of their products. I bought one of their thongs last year and found it to be excellent. The thong was well made, and the fabric was superb. Plus the price of their underwear is easy on the wallet.

The brand Doreanse was established in 1999 in Istanbul, Turkey. They market themselves as a luxury undergarment brand for men and women. Their fabric is what makes their underwear and how they promote it. Most of their designs contain a special fabric blend of 45% modal, 45% cotton, and 10% elastane. This fabric blend offers breathability, softness, along with lightweight comfort. Here’s what their site says about their fabric blend.

“Our classic blend features Turkish cotton which contains more threads per square inch than cotton made elsewhere, lending more durability while keeping the fabric lightweight and breathable. Our modal, a cellulose fiber made from beech trees, is not only softer than mercerized cotton but also resistant to shrinkage and fading. Elastane, or Lycra-Spandex, provides the necessary elasticity, so every garment perfectly conforms to your body shape. This fabric blend also offers easy care, best washed in cold water with only half of the recommended amount of detergent and no fabric softener needed.“

Doreanse offers a wide range of styles for men. They’ve got the skimpy pairs with thongs, g-string, and bikinis. They’ve got a variety of briefs offering different amounts of coverage. Fan of boxer briefs or trunks? They got them too. Also, they produce boxers, jock briefs, t-shirts, tank tops, muscle Ts, and long johns. The bodysuit is also in the line up with thong, brief, and boxer styles. With that offering, they should have a little of something for everyone. They offer many of their styles in various prints and not just solid colors, which I like to see from brands.

Have you tried the Doreanse brand? If so let us know your thoughts on them in the comments.
