QUILTED JOCK 1Fetishwear is HUGE this year. It’s becoming more widely accepted by the masses. We are allowing ourselves to be more creative in our underwear for reg and fun times with our partner. Go Softwear has released the Hard Core line. I first saw this line in Magic. It was great seeing them there after a year or so! I got a quick overview of the lines and this one jumped out at me. Its a mix of fetish and leather and mixed with red, blue and yellow accents.

Here is what Go Softwear says about the line:

Introducing the HARD CORE Collection by GO SOFTWEAR where fetish attire meets fashion! This assemblage is designed with a bit of an edge by incorporating both pleather (faux leather) and athletic mesh in colors and bodies that allow individuals to express a provocative, daring and mischievous side! Whatever your choice we want you to look great in one of our HARD CORE creations.

The entire collection consists: Bikini Brief, Jockstrap, Jock Brief, Backless sq-cut, Zip Front Tee, Freedom Cup, Quilted Jockstrap, Zip Front Tee, Vulcan singlet and our popular and best seller Dungeon short.

I think this line is perfect for those wanting leather but not the leather price. The price ranges are from $30-40 in a great price range! So head over to Go Softwear to see the entire line.

103-204 Black editedMale Power doesn’t always make super sexy underwear. They have been known to make some great underwear you could wear to the gym. The Bamboo line is one that comes to mind that did very well for them. The newest line is the Rayon Swag line. It gives you the feel of silk without the price of silk!

Here is the write up from Male Power:

Men who like the look and feel of silk, but not the cost, will really enjoy the Rayon Swag collection from Male Power.

Rayon, nylon and spandex combine to create highly attractive undergarments that are sensationally soft and stretchable. The fabric, in either black or taupe, contains a subtle texture and a hint of sheen. Rayon Swag comes in five classic styles, including racer back tank top, mini short, wonder bikini, wonder thong and posing strap.

The classically styled wonder bikini and thong offer full, round uplift pouches. The mini short pairs perfectly with the tank top. None of the garments contain any exposed elastic.

There is a new store on the market and it’s from an underwear blogger. So we had to interview him and talk about his journey form blogger to retailer. Also find out what his store is all about!

So what made you start an underwear store after being an underwear blogger?

Ever since I was a young boy I’ve always known I’ve had a passion for men’s underwear. Underwear to me is so attractive. I founded UndieFan.com when I was 18 and it’s been a passion of mine ever since. Blogging for so long made me realize that I love independent underwear brands. It also helped me learn that my favorite style is the jockstrap. I founded HisJock.com to help me express my passion for underwear, jockstraps, independent brands, customer service and retail. I get so excited when I receive an order that I drop whatever I’m doing to pack that order, and ship it out. As a customer for so long I know how excited I am to get my undies in the mail.

Tell us about your store? What brands do you currently carry?

His Jock focuses mostly on independent brands and jockstraps. If you love a good jock then you have to check out our brands. We currently carry 2EROS, Cell Block 13, Colt, N2N Bodywear, Papi, Pistol Pete, Supawear, Timoteo, and Todd Sanfield. We also plan on adding more very shortly.

What sets you apart from other retailers on the market?

Any customer can contact me direct. I’m willing to help any customer at anytime, personally. Like I said above I drop whatever I do to get a new order out. I love talking to customers about underwear and helping them with their needs. Also I’m open to hearing about new brands we should pick up based off what customers want!

Who are your current favorite underwear companies?

Currently I’m obsessed with the new Todd Sanfield Collection. I love the colors they used and each style has a great fit. Not to mention that the fabric is uber soft. I’m also very obsessed with anything that PUMP! comes out with. Hopefully we will pick them up at our store sometime soon.

I’d love to offer all your readers Free shipping with the discount code “UNB”. Only applies to U.S. orders at His Jock.

Modus Vivendi swimwear 2014

Modus Vivendi always creates super fun underwear and swim. The new collection has a denim look. As you can tell by the silver pair above! Styles that are in this collection are a boxer, brief and low cut brief. The styles are available in gold, silver and khaki.  My personal favorite is the Low Rise Brief, this is a true bikini and something we definitely need in swimwear.

I think this is definitely a fun collection. The metallic material is shiny but not over the top like some metallic fabrics can be! Being just released these should be at your favorite retailers soon or on the Modus Vivendi Site.

Modus Vivendi (http://www.e-modusvivendi.com) is proud to announce the release of its new swimwear collection 2014. Inspired by the eternal elements of the Greek summer, the collection embraces the gold of the sun, the silver flash of the sea and the deep, tranquil greens of the forests and mountains. Available in luminous gold, shiny silver and khaki, this first part of Modus Vivendi’s new swimwear is the perfect start to a dazzling summer – Greek style!

lanai-red-0It is now swim season and it’s time to spend as much time by the beach/pool as possible. I would totally agree with this but here in the ATL it’s been rainy and cloudy every time you turn around. So you can wear swimwear but it hasn’t been ideal conditions. So I used the Teamm8 Lanai swim shorts to hang out in one day by the pool. This was the first time I ever wore Teamm8. So I was excited to give them a try.

I will say it’s not normally the style I would wear. This pair has a very retro look, it reminds me of something from the 70’s/80’s, and yes I was old enough to remember them! So I was a little apprehensive about them. Back in the day I hated these types of swimwear and hoped that I wouldn’t have a bad flash back! But, this is Teamm8 and they make out of modern materials/fabrics, so I should have known this wasn’t going to happen.

I wore these to a pool that really isn’t swim brief friendly. It was a friends neighborhood pool, but I did keep my swim briefs under them, I like the extra support. As I relaxed in the pool and hung out this did fit great. The color got a little big of attention because it’s not the usual navy, white or red most swim trunks are. A few people complimented me on them and asked who they were. I forget you talk to people outside of the underwear/swimwear world, most of the population hasn’t heard of Teamm8. Well I am changing it for them an other brands.

Back to my day. These dried pretty fast and didn’t bunch or bind when going form pool to laying out and such. One of my biggest gripes in swimwear are those that don’t dry fast. I hate sitting in wet clothes for over an hour! The 100% nylon dried pretty fast so I was super happy.

The color I received was Watermelon. You are going to make a statement in this pair. It has a small palm tree print that alternates black and white tree. The pair has white piping around the lets and seams. It also includes a drawstring waist. Which is pretty standard for swimwear. If the Watermelon is not your style check out the mint (green) pair.

As for sizing, definitely pay attention to sizing charts. It was a little tight on me, just because I have gained a few pounds. Which I’m not happy about but I plan on going back down. However, that said you can get the right size if you check out the sizing guide. Their chart is easy to find, a button next to the size selection brings it up!

Pros:

  • Great construction
  • Attention getting color
  • dries fast

Cons;

  • retro design some guys may not like
  • Colors maybe too bold for some guys

We are bringing you a new fitness column. We have had them off and on the last few years but have a great guy now wanting to share his info with you. The first column is about a 30 Day Squat Challenge:

Spring is here and summer is upon us.  It is that time we start wearing shorts and swim briefs (especially if you are take the swim briefs challenge).  Get way to get your legs in shape for the summer and you need to start now.  Weather you are new to fitness or a fitness buff this challenge (and squats in general) is good for all!  Don’t care who you are everyone likes and wants a nice firm shapely bubble but.

The squat is one, if not, the best exercise you can do for your body.  It works the whole body not just your legs.  It activates the back to stay tall in the movement lots of core stability to move and a whole lot of legs get shaped up and stronger.

Attachment-1 2

How to do this challenge:

The number of squats as your progress maybe a little daunting but do not worry.  You have all day to do them.  You can do 20 – 25 at a time though out the day.  Another nice thing is you don’t need to go to the gym to do this. You can do your squats anyway you can stand up, at home, on an elevator between floors, at the beach, etc.

  1. Anchor you heals into the ground in an athletic stance with  the feet slightly turned out (athletic stance has some variation depending on your hip flexibility and mobility.  Good rule is anywhere from hip width to a toe heal wider on both legs).
  2. Keep your torso as tall as possible (chest lifted) through out the movement. Shoulder blade pulled together and core engagement and working
  3. Press your hips back (hip hinge) to start the movement (as if you were sitting in a chair behind you).  This is how you will squat down by pressing your hips back. Do not start the movement from you knees. You should work to keep your torso and shines as vertical as you can throughout the movement.
  4. Squat depth varies from person to person.  In the perfect world ass to ankles.  Each person’s hip and ankle flexibility will dictate how long then can go.  Aim for a depth between your thigh bone being parallel and ass to ankle is get.

Things to think about (it’s a lot but you have 30 day to work on it)

  • focus on the muscle you are using.  Keep everything strong and engaged
  • don’t rush through the movement
  • breath! inhale on the down phase exhale on the effort or push phase
  • on the up phase think of pulling the floor or ground apart as you stand
  • squeeze your glutes (butt) at the top to finish
  • arms either straight out from your shoulders parallel to the ground or hands on your hips for balance.

141772I guess I had better preface this review by saying it’s been a while since I’ve been able to write about mens underwear for UNB. It’s been even longer since I have had any new underwear to review, and in many ways I am starting fresh. There has been a lot going on in my life that has kept me away from the underwear industry and worse, writing about underwear. But after a long time on the sidelines and a bit more stability in my life, I am finally ready to get back into the swing of things here on UNB.

I figured the easiest way to blog about underwear is to actually give myself a specific pair to write about, so I hit up the Memorial Day Sale that just wrapped up at Freshpair.com and came away with a pair of underwear I’ve had my eye on for months. I am talking about the Doreanse “Warrior Thong,” which is still available at Freshpair.com and a few other online retailers. A few things attracted me to this thong from the get-go. First, I had heard good things about the brand, specifically that their thongs are worth a try, but secondly and far more prominently I was really drawn in by the look. The cut was masculine without looking too much like some thongs that can be easily mistaken for a jockstrap.

While I wouldn’t call myself thong-obsessed (I prefer briefs 8 times out of 10 for daily wear), I do like the support thongs offer (when they fit right) and if I can find those thongs and g-strings that add just the right amount of flair without being too flashy I will usually pull the credit card out for them. I work a desk job that happens to require me to move around quite a bit, so this thong got a very full day’s worth of work in. I probably got up from my desk 15-20 times today, including a trip to the car wash and Chipotle (yum) for lunch, the only thing I did not do today was work out as I am getting over a brief cold. Needless to say, this thong went through a tough day’s worth of activity and performed flawlessly. I never once had to go to the bathroom to “re-adjust” or never once felt any discomfort with this thong. Most thong-guys would tell you that the best thongs are the ones you can wear all day and forget that you’re wearing underwear at all, and the Warrior Thong fits firmly in that category.

Once you pull this thong on, the first thing you’ll notice is the quality, but that wasn’t the case when I was pulling it out of the packaging. Attached to the pouch and the back “string/thong” material is about an inch worth of ribbed cotton (think “wife beater” tank top) which aside from the stitching that holds it to the waistband has little structure. I was worried that this would roll up and get uncomfortable, but if you get the right size, and get this thong on the correct way, it won’t move. Somewhat ironically, I figured out that these strips of ribbed cotton I was worried about may actually be what may have kept me from passing on this thong altogether. Why? Well if you were to take it away, you would be left with just another run-of-the-mill thong that looks like a jock (think CK Body Thong), which is a style I tend to stay away from.

Aside from the masculine, “Warrior” look this thong gives its wearer, there cannot be enough said about the thong’s most redeeming quality. Its comfort. Holy smokes this thing is comfortable! I attribute the comfort to two things: 1.) The bulk of the thong is made of a 45/45 modal/cotton blend, which for my 200-some pair collection is the most comfortable fabric blend out there. 2.) Getting the right size, which is crucial to every thong’s success on a guy. I am in the process of losing weight, but even when I am at my best, attainable weight I am still in a size 36 pant (I’m currently 6’4″ 240 with an athletic build). I bought this thong in XL which fits a 37-38″ waist, according to the Doreanse size chart. Some of the online reviews on Freshpair.com said this runs small, which is why I decided to go to the size bigger than my pant size. I was initially nervous that it would be too big, because athletically cut thongs tend to run big, but the XL fits wonderfully on me and since I am somewhat well endowed, even if the L fit my waist, the pouch would be too cramped. So when you go get this thong, make sure you order one size up from your pant size and you’ll still get the support you require.

I say  when because there is no reason for you not to buy this thong. I am so confident that you will love this thong that I would say that it’s the perfect thong for the guy who’s been kicking around the idea of buying his first one. Or, if you’re more of an Aficianado of the style like me, you can’t go wrong with this pair and the diversity the Warrior Thong’s style will bring your thong collection. I say when because even when it isn’t on sale it’s only $15 at Freshpair.com and right now it is on sale for $11.25!!! though, it is backordered. All that means is that you’ll have to wait an extra week or two to get it delivered, and that this review is spot-on!

Like the underwear industry and UNB, I could not stay away from this thong – and boy am I glad I finally got it and I am even more happy that I could share this review of it as my first post back here at UNB.

Pros:

  • Out-of-this-world comfort, coming from the modal/cotton blend
  • Masculine, but fashion conscious look
  • You could wear this thong 24/7

Cons:

  • Only 3 color combinations available, just two on freshpair.com
  • That I can’t say enough good things about this thong…

  • Sizing – 7 (but I provided a good rule of thumb)

xpose-jocksTOTALLY EXPOSED WITH THE ALL NEW PISTOL PETE XPOSE JOCKS AT JOCKSTRAP CENTRAL

Be prepared this summer, with your own personal air conditioning – in the form of these new wide mesh jockstraps from Pistol Pete that just hit the shelves of Jockstrap Central. Just like their best selling singlets, the Xpose Jockstraps feature a sexy and very revealing wide mesh pouch – unlike Justin Bieber and Rob Ford, sometimes being over exposed is a good thing. Here’s the details:

The pouches on these jocks are constructed of Pistol Pete’s signature wide mesh fabric and includes a center seam and outer piping for structure and support. It’s fairly generous with a bit of stretch to accommodate most guys. Our model Josh is pretty well endowed (as you can see from our photos) with both large balls and shaft and he just loved wearing the Xpose Jocks.

Although the pouch is the real star, the waistband is pretty spectacular too: It’s sturdy, plushed for comfort and 1 1/4 inches wide with the highly stylized Pistol Pete “P” logo up front and center which compliments the almost Aztec motif running throughout the rest of the waistband. Finally, two masculine 1 1/8 inch leg straps complete this jockstrap.

The Xpose jocks are available in four flavors – black, blue, red or white. Be sure to check out Jockstrap Central’s website for their countless and always uncensored photos.

Also, if you act quickly (before Sunday, June 8th) Jockstrap Central is offering free USA shipping or discounted world shipping on all orders of $20 or more. Just buy one of the new Xpose Jocks or any one of most of their fashion or fetish jocks and you’ll get the free or discounted shipping. Get Shopping
