First let me start off saying this pair maybe out of stock. But, there are other colors than the limited edition pair. We got a lot of Andrew Christian to review. Over the next few weeks you’ll see them. I choose this pair because it was limited edition and for Valentine’s Day.
Andrew Christian to me makes really great underwear. His Almost Naked and Trophy Boy are some of my favorite undies. They fit me great and are made for a guy with extra up front.
There are several reasons why I choose this pair to review. The first was for the color. The Valentine’s Day inspired pair is red/pink with white mesh in the back. I don’t have any fun pairs for Valentines Day. The second reason is the pouch is a separate piece and allows easy access. It seems to be a trend to create just pouches that either aren’t attached or just a pouch.
I said above I chose this, knowing I didn’t like pairs with pouches that detach or enhance. When I got to put this on I realized this and thought, “oh no I maybe in trouble.” I slide the pair on and the leg openings were a little tight. It made me wonder if it was too tight through out the day. After I pulled it up, it didn’t feel too tight. I just hoped it would last! Second, I slid my junk through the opening and put it in the pouch. The pouch really worried me. I was worried I would all our and through the day it would require constant adjustment.
As the day went on, I kind of forgot that I was wearing pouch underwear. The initial fears didn’t come through. The pouch was supportive and held me in place all day. I was really impressed. They did a great job on this pouch. The bonus was going to the bathroom all you had to do was lift the pouch up and then put it back down. Next the leg openings didn’t feel tight. I have had pairs in the past that drove me crazy and had to go!
I wore this pair running errands. I knew this would put the pouch to the test. It was about 6 hours of running around and driving. About an hour in I forgot about my concerns and just enjoyed the pair. It amazed me how well the pair felt. There was just the right amount of tension to keep the pouch in place all day. The mesh in back was a great touch too. Its sexy but not over the top.

I asked our guys, what you are planning to wear for Valentine’s Day. We have a mix of single/dating and gay/straight so where are what some of us will be wearing.

Shane – Being the special day that it is to celebrate love and infatuation, I will be wearing the color of love – RED! I will be wearing the newest pair of red underwear that I have added to my collection, the Modus Vivendi metallic loose fit boxer. It is simply wonderful! I love the stripes being dark and bright red with a slightly metallic sheen. They fit great and look great. These are not your dad’s boxers. They make me feel confident and look great on. Love them!
T – I’ll be wearing the Gregg Homme Pump Up Thong, just in case I bump into a guy who wants to start a whirlwind romance then and there 🙂 I’ll be wearing good undies, supportive, but still scandalous.
John – Having been in a relationship now for over 8 years, Valentines Day is just another day that I get to spend with the guy that I love. As for my underwear selection… I think I will be in a jock. My partner loves when I wear a jockstrap, so since the day is about showing him how much I love him, that is the way I will go. I have a cute new pair of Andrew Christians that will be just perfect. It is a pair of his dark red Teaser Air Jock. I love these because they are super comfy and light weight with plenty of room so they are great to wear all day, yet sexy and playful so that what ever happens that night is just as exciting.
Tim (ME) – I”ll be traveling so I won’t have any romantic dinners unless you count having one on a Southwest flight 32,000 feet in the air with 200 of my closest friends. I am going to wear my John Seivers California Gold Brief. This is one of the best briefs I have for traveling. Will anyone see it, NOPE just me but I’ll be in Vegas that night so how bad could it be?

When you think underwear the first thing that comes to mind usually isn’t Innovation. It’s usually comfortable, sexy, and awesome. Underwear is coming into its own and there are innovations in the manufacturing process, design, fabrics and more. I got the idea for this post when I was at Magic talking to Gregg Homme and Naked. Both companies do great things in the men’s underwear arena and it should be profiled!
The first company we are covering will be Naked. When I talked to Naked at Magic, Joel, gave me a heads up about their Silver line. It sounded pretty cool. The first week in January I got a chance to talk TO Joel about the amazing new line called Silver.
Silver is engineered for performance by bonding 99.9% pure silver to nylon thread.. Silver has been very popular in the health market the last few years because of the natural properties it contains. These properties include its ability to kill bacteria and regulate heat.
Naked learned the military makes some of its clothing with the silver fabric. They do this because in combat there may not be a chance to wash clothes daily and the silver kills the bacteria and increases its wearability and risk of infection. After five years of looking into technology, trying to find the right technology, a company called X-static created a great way to bond the silver to the thread and make the fabric making Naked the first underwear company to use this technology.
Joel explained to me how the technology work. “Sweat doesn’t smell, sweat that reacts with bacteria smell. The silver kills the bacteria on the body so there is nothing for the sweat to re-act with. I travel a lot and the inspiration was something a guy could wear on a long haul flight, to the gym at lunch, or athlete playing sports. Really It can be used for a variety of things a guy will do during his day.”
