Great feel, sexy and with the pouch that accentuates your cock.  Jason:  Although they are comfortable and well made, I think they look a little silly on.  Still, I enjoy wearing them and since Del loves them, I have put them on to please my man.   Del:  I always feel that I’m wearing a little secret.  I love them!  I love the red!  HOT!  And I like Jason in them.  He fills them out so right and they are an instant turn-on for me.

Del:  We aren’t big fans of mesh underwear usually because they are just not soft and comfortable.  They always feel more of a novelty for bedroom activities rather than wear.   However, Cocksox’s mesh brief is only mesh on the ass.  The pouch is the same as the rest of their line, which houses your dick in a not scratchy way, meaning comfortable.  The ass looks lot through the mess and is surprisingly not scratchy like other brands.  I love it and again, feel like I have a hot sexy secret when wearing them.   Jason:  I love that Del loves them.    I still feel the design with the pouch looks silly.  Del loves them on strippers, they give me the church giggles.

These were sent in XS, so we really can’t judge them except to say that they were really look great and the material feels comfortable.  We gave them to a friend and haven’t heard his response.  We thought they were swimwear and thought that they would probably only be worn on a gay cruise or a gay beach — but you would be a big hit, since they have the pouch to frame your cock.

It’s About Socks – Part 1 – Cuts

You enter a department store and head toward the underwear section.  You are concerned about fit, comfort, style, and durability as you always are when choosing the right thing for you.  This trip isn’t for briefs, but for something else in the realm of underwear.  You know your size, but do you want something longer or shorter?  Do you want something in color, the original white, or maybe something with stripes or color rings?  When it comes to purchasing a good pair of socks, one has about as many options as when choosing a new pair of briefs.  Just the same, it all comes down to what the wearer expects and personal preference.

Here at UNB, we want people to know what’s out there so that a better choice can be made for the buyer’s comfort and in case the buyer wants to branch out and try something new.  First off, it’s important to know the different common lengths we find in stores:

  • Over-the-calf – This style of sock is the best for wearing boots because of their length, covering the calves of the legs.  Some people might wear these because they like to feel something tighter below the knee.  Companies out there are making more and more socks for those with blood vessel issues.  These are also seen many times on athletes, who wear them so wonderfully.

  • Crew – This style is worn by many athletes and can be said to be the most common.  The sock comes up to the calf or about midway the calf.  Many basketball players wear these with high-tops.  Some workers chose to wear these with construction boots as well when they do not want the full coverage of the kind above.  These were some sent by two Canadian friends a few years ago.  I ended up with two pair and I love them.  They were marketed in Canada to get people to have pride and cheer for their Olympic team.
  • Ankle – These socks used to be worn primarily by women when they first appeared in the fashion world, but luck would have it that men noticed the look of this cut and wanted it in their day to day wardrobe as well.  These are popular with athletes wanting less material on their legs, students that don’t want to wear “un-cool” fashions, and everyday people who want summer comfort and style with shorts.

  • Low-cut or no-show – This style of sock is somewhat new within the past few years for men. Again, it was primarily worn by females.   Mainly worn with low-top sneakers, these socks give the impression of not wearing socks with shoes.  Many shoe brands are making a lower top on their sneakers and people do not want the extra sock material above.  Some say they can and cannot wear these because of how little material there is, but once again, we see this as a personal preference.

The choice of sock definitely depends on what you will be doing when wearing them.  For instance, my father was in the timber industry for most all his adult life.  Many of his socks were the gray, over-the-calf socks with the wide red band around the top.  They were designed for those that would be on their feet doing strenuous work.  Construction workers are guys we are familiar seeing wearing this kind of sock.  We’ve seen many pictures of that from the 80s.

In the coming up articles, I will be discussing the different activities linked to socks, materials they are made from, the various fads we’ve seen in men’s socks, and what good places there are to find them. Stay tuned for more sock love!

Poster Hut – A Great Place to Buy Underwear in Atlanta

This is the beginning of a new segment to Underwear News Briefs where we can showcase some of the smaller stores that sell underwear all over the country and the world.  Since I live in the Atlanta area, I wanted to tell everyone about a store that offers an awesome selection of men’s underwear.  Many locals, in fact, don’t know this store even sells underwear.  The store I am referring to is Poster Hut.

Poster Hut has been open in Atlanta for 40 years and has a great collection of cards, clothing, home accessories, and other wild and fun items on the funny and eclectic side.  I had not visited the store in some time when Wes, our copy editor, came on staff and was telling me about all the underwear they carry.  We became friends with the owner, Mike, and have been working together for about a year.  UNB has completed some reviews of items they offer and they have participated in our Holiday Guide.

The underwear selection at Poster Hut has amazed me since the first time I entered the store.  The great companies they carry are Mundo Unico, Colt, Dirty Fukker, Priape, Nasty Pig, Schultz, Male Power, Magic Silk, The-Tee.com (Lee Gregory), WildmanT, and Ajaxx63, a company producing many gay themed t-shirts.  They sell underwear brands that no other store in Atlanta is offering such as Unico, Schultz, and Dirty Fukker.  Poster Hut allows customers to buy them locally and not have to wait for satisfaction through the mail.  As you know, Unico is one of my favorite underwear companies in the world.  I am thankful I can buy them when I want them.  Their selection of Unico is practically everything I would be able to find online.  Honestly, I was a kid in a candy store.

The Holiday Guide and the two-year anniversary special contained profiles on Schultz, an underwear company with various sayings on the waistband.  Poster Hut has practically the entire line in stock.  They are a fun company and we really like them here at UNB.  The jeans are not part of their inventory as of yet, but they are hoping to get them soon as they would make great combinations with the underwear.

Exclusive to Poster Hut in this area is another great underwear designer, Dirty Fukker.  Obviously, they are popular with the southern boys not only because of their designs, but also their name.  The name always catches everyone’s attention.  I have witnessed guys who come in to browse the section and stop to look when the name stood out to them.  They now have a new camo collection that has become quite the hit.

We are excited that underwear has become one of Poster Hut’s main products, evident from an event they hosted last week.  A local photographer, Shane Gardner, showed some of his work to the public.  They also had models featuring items from their selections of underwear, including their signature model Chandler (see the guy in leather), guys from Acme-tainment, and one from Lee Gregory or The-Tee.com.  Lee Gregory was at the show and I was able to chat with him for a while.

I spent about two hours at this fun event, mainly talking about underwear.  I had a chance to speak with everyone there.  How fun is it to go to a party and be able to talk about underwear?  I talked to Lee Gregory about current trends and influences in the world of men’s underwear.  His line of clothing is quite fun, aiming more for dating wear and probably not for everyday wear.  I’m not sure you would want to go to the gym with “Hung Like A Jury” written on the pouch, but maybe you would!

I was about to do a little networking with the owner of Acme-tainment.  I network a bit for my professional life.  We were able to talk about underwear for a few minutes and then about other interests and some business ideas.  It was great to be able to do some networking while enjoying the passion I have for underwear.  I hope Poster Hut holds more events like this as to get the word out about their underwear and other interesting, lively items.
