Review: AussieBum Soldier Trench Jock

Once again, here’s another great item from AussieBum. I personally love AussieBum for their underwear and swimwear. I get excited when the item I am given to review is a jock! Even better is the timing of this review and others right here on Underwear News Briefs. It is a great time to find out what is hot right before the holiday buying season. I hope this review and others on the site will give you the information you need to make informed purchases for you or someone special for the holiday season.

Our friends at AussieBum asked UNB to review the AussieBum Soldier Trench Jock in size large. Inspired by military camouflage print, this jockstrap is combined with AussieBum’s new wide-width metallic waistband for a unique and fresh strong look. The camouflage print of the Trench jock is blue, white, and black. It’s a very aquatic pattern feel.

The waistband is a bit big for my tastes but it was pretty comfortable. I did feel, however, that the tag along the back was a bit irritating. The pouch fit well and gave me enough room. The material was soft and a bit stretchy to mold comfortably. The leg straps are thin and made of soft elastic. I hardly noticed the leg straps at all.

Due to my relocation, I gained some weight so the large jock I reviewed was a bit snug when it came to the very wide waistband, but regardless of that, they fit well. I feel that an extra large would have been roomier, but going up a size wouldn’t be the best way to solve that.

In conclusion, I feel that the AussieBum Soldier Trench Jock is a very sexy and comfortable jockstrap that everyone should have as part of their collection. I give it an overall rating of 4.9 on a scale of 5. It lost a half a point due to my personal preference towards large waistbands. But I will admit the waistband is designed well and looks hot!

Review: Andrew Christian Shock Jock Boxers

I am back! I know that it has been a while since I wrote an underwear review. I am sure it had something to do with leaving Atlanta and moving to Washington, D.C. and just not having a free moment to do anything but eat and sleep. Now that I am settled I am here to stay. So if you want to chat about underwear, swimwear, etc. and you live in or around the DC, look me up!

I was asked to review the new Andrew Christian Shock Jock boxers. I am sure you all have heard of Andrew Christian at the very least. Hopefully you know them better and sport a pair of their undies every so often. I myself am a big fan of their work, both their underwear and their swimwear. The AC Shock Jock line is one of their newest. The Shock Jock line is meant to enhance the male frontal area to the EXTREME. So in laymen’s terms increasing the visual look/size of your package. Now I am sure you are saying, wait….they have done this already with the Show-It line and the Almost-Naked line of underwear and swimwear. But the Shock Jock line takes it to the next level. The Shock Jock boxer features a hidden padded cup in the frontal part of the boxers to help shape and enhance the front “package” of a man; creating the perfect bulge. The hidden cup adds up to 2 inches (5 cm) onto your measurement.

Now personally, I don’t need any package enhancement. So I was actually worried that the boxers would be too tight because of the extra padded cup. But I was totally wrong. The padded cup was very comfortable and didn’t cause any sort of cramped feeling throughout the day. There were several times throughout the day that I was very surprised by how comfortable the boxers were and how I totally forgot about the padded cup being there.

Due to my relocation I gained some weight so the large boxers that I reviewed were a bit snug, but regardless of that, they fit well. I feel that an extra large would be roomier but going up a size wouldn’t be the best way to solve my size issue. The solution to that is the gym, LOL. The material was soft and the waistband didn’t irritate me, showing that AC uses high quality materials.

In conclusion, I feel that the Andrew Christian Shock Jock boxers are very comfortable and do a great job of creating the perfect bulge that will get the stares you are looking for. I give it an overall rating of 5 on a scale of 5.

Workout Gear: Jocks Vs. Thongs

It was to be an epic battle: Jockstrap Vs. Thong for support while working out. The gym was booked. The parameters were set. Each contestant had to give it their all and workout twice – once with a jock for support and once with a thong.

Let’s frame the debate. Greg and Wraith have become fast underwear friends here on Underwear News Briefs. They each have their own style and favorites and they each know underwear very well.

The subject of working out and whether a thong or jock provided more support came up in one of their conversations. Both guys have worn jocks, thongs, regular underwear, and have even gone commando to work out, but for the purpose of the article, we thought that Jocks Vs Thongs was a better way to frame it!

When all was sweat and done, here are the results of that grueling battle:

Wraith:

I have worn both a jock and a thong when at the gym lifting weights or out running a 5k. All I can tell you is that a jock is the best way to go, hands down. Now, that is not to say a thong is horrible or uncomfortable. I found both to be just fine and totally versatile when it came to working out and getting a good sweat going. Having said that, jocks rock!!! There is something about them that screams, “Sexy.” No matter how thick the waistband is or what color (for the most part), there is something very inherent about a jockstrap that is both sexy and manly. I’m not to saying that every single jock out there is manly, but there are a few that are a bit too feminine for me. The best jock, in my opinion, is one that is designed with an ample pouch and is wide enough to not give the look of panties. I won’t name names, but I could give you examples of the good and the bad out there.

The next great thing about a jock compared to a thong is the leg straps. Leg straps are hot!! They are functional and greatly frame your ass. Not everyone likes the idea of a strap/string up the crack but everyone is generally cool with leg straps.

In conclusion, jocks are the best workout gear. They give you the support you need and freedom of movement, but the most important aspect is that they are simply hot to look at and even hotter to be sporting.

Like my colleague, I took on this challenge and wore a jockstrap and thong to work out this week…not only for the cardio. I can say that both are sexy and both offer support while you’re working out. For me, however, the more comfortable option of the two is a thong (at least within the parameters of this article). A jockstrap is hot, and as Wraith pointed out, it frames an ass nicely with its leg straps, but it’s those leg straps that drove me crazy! I personally believe that both choices scream sexy and I have seen both being sported in the locker room. Come on, what’s hotter than a muscle boy, stripping out of his suit and tie to change at the gym and throwing on a thong for support? In my humble opinion…there is nothing. Not everyone appreciates ass floss, as it’s called in some circles, but if you are a thong person and have worn one, it’s something you get used to. I happen to think that a thong will help frame an ass nicely as well for show; it frames it in a different way. When I wore a jock, the leg straps kept riding up and caused some minor uncomfort for me which is the last thing you want to experience while working out. I also felt like I was going to fall out sometimes. Given the way the jockstrap is designed, it has a little gap where the leg straps meet the pouch, and that is a little disconcerting to me. With the thong, it stayed in place and did its job during my work out, ranging from squats to lunges and anything else I threw at it. It never rode up and I never fell out. I will agree with Wraith that like jocks, to wear a thong for a work out, you need to have one designed for a man with a pouch up front for the goods and room. You don’t want to be squished.

My conclusion is if you don’t mind the thong, the thong wins hands down! I felt like I had much more support, less slippage and I didn’t fall out.

Conclusion:

The epic battle, having been fought gallantly by our contestants, is alas, a toss up. No winners or losers have been declared. It really is all about personal preference. Just workout and keep those bodies moving so you can keep wearing sexy underwear!

Review: N2N Bodywear Active Wear (Part 3) – Ultra Skin Singlet

I have to start off this review by saying, “HOT”! That describes exactly how I feel whenever the subject of wrestling singlets comes up. Here is part 3 of my 4 part review of the N2N Bodywear workout/active wear. I personally own two singlets and love how they feel when I pull them on. N2N Bodywear is great supporters of UnderwearNewsBriefs.com and sent us their Ultra Skin Singlet in size large to review.

I have to admit that there are not many places where I can sport a singlet. On that note, I did have the opportunity to pull on a singlet and wear it out. I sported the red N2N singlet at the premiere party for a monthly event called CODE. The dress code included sports gear so sporting a singlet was totally on the agenda and I wasn’t the only one in a singlet that night. Furthermore, about a half of the guys sporting singlets that night was sporting the N2N singlet in various colors. It was great to see!

The singlet fit well. I have gained a bit of weight since N2N sent me this singlet to review but large still worked. For me, an extra large might have been better and allowed more give. Other than that, it hugged my body well and didn’t ride or pinch in any places. The material was strong and durable. This was good since I had several people tugging on it all night long in various places. The material and the way in which it was put together make this a very lasting item.

I think this singlet looks great on me as well as others. While I was sporting the red singlet, the majority of the other guys sporting the N2N singlet were wearing the blue version. The N2N singlet is very nice to look at and it’s a total eye catcher. I turned several heads as I walked past. This singlet is a great option for any fetish/gear party you plan to attend or if you and friends want to get together and show of gear.

In conclusion, the N2N Ultra Skin Singlet is a very hot active wear item that is on top at any fetish/gear party you may be attending. But please, don’t let me tell you when and where to sport this item. Wherever you want to sport it is fine. I would love to hear how others sport singlets. I give it an overall rating of 4.5 on a scale of 5.

Review: N2N Bodywear Active Wear (Part 2) – Mesh Shorts

Hello all, I am back for part 2 of my 3 part review of the N2N Bodywear active wear. I know that I called it workout gear in the last review, but based on the items in part 2, I am going to switch to active wear. The reason being is that some of us out there would love to wear this type of clothing to the gym and most of us can’t pull it off. Why can’t we pull it off? Well, because it’s a bit more reveling than those of us who are body-conscience would like it to be. Mesh will do that. Love it…but be mindful!

The two shorts I am reviewing are the Sports Mesh Long Shorts and the Retro Split Mesh Shorts. I have sported both pairs around the house and I wore the long shorts out one night to pick a friend up from the airport. Realize that I never got out of the car when I wore them out. Being a jockstrap guy, it would have been a bit too much for public eyes to see.

The Sports Mesh Long Shorts are comfortable and very breathable. Obviously, if they are somewhat see through, they are going to be very breathable. I received a size large to review and they fit well. They have a drawstring waist so I was able to cinch them up if I wanted to. They have small front pockets that are nice but since they are not too deep, you can’t do much with them. Then again, for me personally, I would not be wearing them out of the house, making them great for lounging around at home, especially if you are like me and are comfortable being naked. These shorts give you some coverage but still allow you to feel exposed. I like that. The mesh material is comfortable and feels great against the skin. I felt great sporting them commando.

The next pair of shorts is a bit more on the skimpy and revealing side of things. And yes, that is a tall order since we are already talking about mesh shorts. This pair is the Retro Split Mesh Shorts. They are designed off of the classic idea of running shorts with the high cut of the sides for freedom of movement. You know, the very short, short look. The material is the same as the long mesh shorts, so they are comfortable and easily worn commando. There is one more very interesting aspect to these shorts, that in my opinion, makes them a pair you actually have to wear commando or with just a thong or jock. They have a built-in pouch for your package to be cradled. So I can tell you, it is very interested. Furthermore, the pouch is detachable. It attaches via several snaps.

In conclusion, the N2N Sports Mesh Long Shorts and the Retro Split Mesh Shorts are unique active wear items I feel are better for lounging around the house or out at a friend’s place where you feel comfortable sporting mesh shorts. I give it an overall rating of 4.2 on a scale of 5.

Review: Cocksox Part Mesh Briefs

I am back with another great review for all you folks. It has been a while since I have posted any reviews or articles. I have been dealing with the logistics of moving from Atlanta, GA back to Washington, DC. I am hoping I don’t have to move again, anytime soon.

To the topic at hand, underwear! I have mentioned in previous reviews that I have certain favorite brands that include C-IN2, Baskit, Andrew Christian, Nasty Pig, and N2N Bodywear. There is another that is high on the list…Cocksox. The Cocksox Part Mesh Brief was UnderwearNewsBriefs.com “Underwear of the Week” a few weeks ago and for good reason. It only seems right to give it a review as well so that you can get the details on this great pair of briefs.

I have known about this brand for several years. I stumbled upon their website several years ago and purchased a pair of the original briefs in black. Once I slipped that bad boy on, I was hooked! I loved the feel and the fit as well as the way it showed off my package. I am an avid fan of less is more and those briefs fit the bill very nicely. That said, I am here to let you know about these new revealing mesh briefs.

Let’s start with the fit. The fit of these briefs is great. I was a bit surprised since my first pair was a size medium. The mesh pair I was given to review is a large. The pouch fits very well. Again, I love the way it helps to lift my package up and out. This particular pair has a full coverage pouch while the rest of the brief is a tight mesh weave. The waistband is an added feature to the Cocksox briefs. I love it. The original briefs do not have a waistband so I love the fact that you can get these briefs with it or without. The mesh material is comfortable and has good coverage.

The material of the briefs is high quality! Again, the pouch is very comfortable and soft. The mesh material is also comfy against the skin. I would have to say that the briefs are well put together. The combination of a perfect fit and comfortable material makes this a great addition to anyone’s underwear drawer. I think these briefs are both revealing and still leave something to the imagination. The pouch is not mesh so it allows an air of mystery. But, if you are on the bold side of things are in LOVE with mesh, they have a pair in complete mesh as well. I have worn this pair several times as well as the original briefs and I find them to be great for everyday wear. I have even worn them to the gym and out running.

In conclusion, the Part Mesh Cocksox briefs are a very sexy and hot pair of briefs. I give it an overall rating of 5 on a scale of 5.

Review: N2N Bodywear Workout Clothes (Part 1) – Trainer Hoodie & Long Shorts

I know that most of you guys think our blog/website is only about underwear but obviously, since we have reviewed swimwear as well, you can tell we like to venture out and touch on other topics we love. Well, I have another topic worth chatting about…workout clothes. The great people over at N2N Bodywear have given us here at UnderwearNewsBriefs.com some workout gear to review. They were kind enough to send several items. To cover them, I will be breaking up this review into 3 parts. This review will focus on the Trainer Hoodie and Long Shorts.

As you can see from the pictures, these items are very similar in both material and design, leading me to believe they are meant to be worn as an outfit. The fit of the shorts was just right. They were a good length, being not too long or two short for my tastes. I did’t exactly like that the shorts were drawstring instead of elastic, but they fit fine regardless. The hoodie was interesting. It also fit well and I loved the fact of it being sleeveless. I personally like wearing sleeveless shirts when working out and I know it might seem odd to wear a sleeveless hoodie. I do know that my other half thought it was very strange. Granted, when he tried it on he was excited to wear it to the gym to “test” it out.

As I have said, the material is light and breathable. The cut of both the shorts and the hoodie resisted binding or uncomfortable gathering. I don’t like baggy clothes at the gym, but I also don’t like skin-tight clothing either. The look of the shorts and hoodie together is great. The white strip along the side of both the shorts and the hoodie give both items length, supplying a fit, slim look to the wearer. I would say that this outfit is great for gym wear but also lounging around and relaxing.

In conclusion, the N2N Trainer Hoodie and Long Shorts outfit are a terrific outfit for any work out. I give it an overall rating of 4.8 on a scale of 5.

Review: Justus Boyz “Str8 Boyz Like It Hard” Fitted Trunks

Hey guys, and maybe, even a few gals. I would like to inform you about a new brand I was introduced to recently. The brand is called Justus Boyz. My good friend John wrote up a review on several pairs of the fitted trunks and I wanted to echo his comments as well as give my two cents.

I wore the “Str8 Boyz Like it Hard” fitted trunks for a whole day and my activities included my workday in the office as well as mowing the lawn and hitting the gym for some cardio. Normally, I don’t wear trunks since I am a jock lover, but I gave these trunks the benefit of the doubt. I found the trunks to be very comfortable and fit quiet well. The waistband was made of very durable elastic and the size large I was sporting fit me as well as I desired. The material was also soft. It gave ample coverage both in front and back. The pouch was designed well for my junk. I would like to agree with John’s review and say that I liked the way the trunks are cut. They are not too long or too short.

As far as the look, I enjoyed the blue colored trunks with the screen print writing on the thigh. I would, however, have to agree with John. “Is that all?” It would be nice to see something more. I did enjoy wearing them, regardless of that fact. I felt they were great for daily wear and I plan to wear them again whenever I am sick of wearing jocks.

In conclusion, the Justus Boyz fitted trunks are a great pair of boxer style underwear. I give it an overall rating of 4.8 on a scale of 5.

Review: Ginch Gonch Spokey Pokey Low-rise Briefs

I hope this review finds all of you guys doing well. I had the opportunity recently to sport the ever so trendy underwear from Ginch Gonch. I own their Red Bandana Jockstrap and LOVE IT! Therefore, I became very interested in reviewing a pair of their new briefs. Ginch Gonch provided a pair of the Spokey Pokey low-rise briefs for me to review. When I received them in the mail, my first thought was, “interesting”.

Ginch Gonch has a unique style that separates them from other underwear designers. It has developed underwear lines for both men and women. I feel that it has taken a classic look of underwear and given it a modern feel. I also feel that it does a great job of making underwear fun again. I think, above all else, the latter is the truest point I can make.

While reviewing the Spokey Pokey low-rise briefs from Ginch Gonch, I found them to be very satisfying. I will admit that at first, the name of the briefs threw me, but the design on them explained it all. The briefs are mainly white briefs with a classic look, but on them appears a design involving dirt bikes. This obviously lends to the name of the briefs. I found the briefs to fit pretty well. I reviewed a size large and feel that the fit wasn’t too bad, but for a guy like me, I am curious to know how the XL size would fit. As of any Ginch Gonch underwear, the material is high quality and soft. It is very comfortable for everyday wear and even for a trip to the gym. Being someone who has both a reasonably sized package as well as some decent “junk in the trunk”, I would say that the particular design doesn’t totally work well for my body type. I personally feel much more comfortable with underwear that has a more defined pouch that aids in placement and growth. I don’t know whether going up a size would solve this issue or not.

The look of the briefs is a classic but modern take on the typical briefs of the past. Along with my low-rise version, there is the classic brief version as well as trunks and a jock in this particular design. As I mentioned earlier, this particular pair, along with many others that Ginch Gonch sells, has a very fun and childlike theme. Whether they are trucks, motorcycles, or super heroes, Ginch Gonch is working hard to bring a sense of fun and playfulness back into the underwear world. It’s something we all had when we were much younger but were forced to grow out of too soon.

In conclusion, the Ginch Gonch Spokey Pokey briefs are a pretty good pair of low-rise briefs. I give them an overall rating of 4.2 on a scale of 5.

Jockstraps – Just for sports or everyday wear?

Of all the types of underwear out there, from the strange styles to bold and florescent colors, the only thing that holds true for me is that jockstraps are the staple of my underwear collection. For the last six years, I have slowly increased my underwear collection and my assortment of jockstraps has been the biggest grower of them all. I have over 60 jocks of various styles and colors in both categories of fashion and athletic jocks. Without a doubt, I can say whole-heartedly that jockstraps are for more than just sports gear. There are several good reasons why I feel jockstraps are great for everyday wear.

First, jocks give you all the support you would find in briefs or boxer-briefs if not more. Actually, I think they give more support than a typical brief or boxer-brief. With a jockstrap, the design is mainly focused on the pouch since a jockstrap is about 95% pouch, where as, with a pair of briefs or boxer-briefs, the pouch isn’t the only thing that has a designers focus. From personal experience while playing numerous high school and college sports, a jock is the best way to go when you want to have the maximum amount of support for your junk.

Second, I believe another great benefit of a jock is that it only has enough material to perform its specific job. There is no excess material like there is with briefs and boxer-briefs. This not only allows for increased freedom of movement but also reduces/eliminates the material from bunching up or riding up on the wearer. I am sure most guys have had to adjust their boxer-briefs when they ride up on them and bunch up around their upper thighs and hips. It’s not comfortable at all. Besides the freedom of movement, there is also the added breathability. When playing any sport at all, you want to be able to stay cool and reduce the amount of material on your body that would soak up and hold onto your perspiration as well as your body heat. While living in both Washington D.C., and now Atlanta, I’ve found the less you have on the better when it comes to temperatures that can get up into the hundreds. I think if I had to choose between wearing a jock under a pair of dress slacks and briefs, I would choose the jock hands down. I would stay cooler while going about my daily routine.

The factors I have listed thus far are strong reasons why I believe jockstraps are great for everyday wear. But there is one more I personally think is worth mentioning. It is the hot/sexy factor! I think that jockstraps are sexy and I think there is something hot about having something on that gives you the support you need during daily activity and, at the same time, feeling enticing. The leg straps on a jock do a great job of framing your rear and setting up a great view for the lucky person getting to see you in them.

In the end, it’s a combination of both function and fashion. A jockstrap gives you the maximum amount of support any guy would need during the day, doing any number of activities, and a jock also has a sexy factor to it. It accentuates and leaves things to the imagination if you aren’t wearing one of the jocks available these days made of mesh or sheer material. In that case, you are leaving nothing to the imagination and bearing it all to see.

Review: N2N Bodywear Cotton G-String

I have another review for you guys. I very much enjoyed this review because I have made N2N Bodywear one of my top favorite brands! This time our friends at N2N sent us their Cotton G-String to review. I have a size large. If you are interested in this revealing item, make sure you check out the N2N website where you will find a large selection of color choices in this particular g-string.

At first glance, the N2N Cotton G-String seems like any other standard g-string. It has a modern “less-is-more” design. I love this style of design since I want the support but not the unwanted extra material and bulk.

I became aware of two things while wearing this thong. Firstly, it fits well and molds to the shape of the wearer. This gives the feeling that you aren’t wearing anything at all. Secondly, the material and the way it was constructed make it very comfortable so that you hardly notice the rear string. That, I believe, is the most important factor in finding a good thong….whether or not the rear string is noticeable and comfortable for daily wear. As I have mentioned in previous postings and articles, I am more a fan of the Y-back designed thongs. This T-back design, however, works well. The folks over at N2N did a great job on this one!

I feel that this thong has a great look. The design and cut is solid which adds in how well it hangs on a guy. I wore this thong for a full day and found it very comfortable and not irritating in the least. I did not have a chance to wear it to the gym. Maybe I will the next time I choose it from my collection.

In conclusion, the N2N Cotton G-String is a revealing and sexy thong that should be a part of any guy’s underwear wardrobe. I give it an overall rating of 5 on a scale of 5.

Review: Andrew Christian “Almost Naked” Swim Bikini

I hope that everyone had a chance to read my last review about the Andrew Christian “Show-It” swim trunks and have picked up a pair for themselves. I have another great suit to tell you about that would be a very BOLD addition to your summer swimwear. It is the Andrew Christian “Almost Naked” Swim Bikini. Again, our friends at Andrew Christian were kind enough to send us this suit to review. Let me give you some advise. The design is bold, but when you get the suit in white, you are asking for some trouble. Good trouble that is!

The fit of the “Almost Naked” bikini suit was great. It gave ample coverage in the front and back. The pouch of the bikini swimsuit is a unique feature that gives it its very bold and sexy look. Not only has the pouch been created to cup your package, but also allows it to hang ergonomically correct. This means it gives your package a very comfortable and “obvious” pouch in which to sit. From the pictures, you can see this suit is not for the faint or boring at heart.

The materials used to create this sexy looking swimsuit are fantastic. The bikinis feel soft and at the same time durable. They are made with Sport UPF Fade Resistant Fabric 50+ which means that over 95.7% of UV rays are blocked by the fabric. Sport UPF Resistant Fabric is also fade resistant meaning you will be able to wear it in the sun all summer before the fabric begins to fade.

I have been told that bikini/speedo style suits are not that flattering on me and can emphasize the size of my hips. Opinions, however, vary and if you are like me and have the confidence to wear this suit, you will LOVE IT! One thing that should be noted about the particular pair that I reviewed was the color. I reviewed the bikini suit in white, and there is some translucency when it gets wet. It’s not too bad. But it should be taken under advisement. I do feel that the white color of this suit very much adds to its bold and sexy look. If you want to be bold and sexy, but not “white swimsuit” bold, then opt for one of the other colors. There is no doubt in my mind that you will still turn heads while wearing this suit around the pool and at the beach.

The summer is just getting started and it’s time to gear up. We here at UnderwearNewsBriefs.com have already written up a 2009 Summer Swim Suit Guide that we posted several weeks ago about suits from various brands we thought were both eye-catching and fun for this year. Now it’s time to review some new swimwear and give you the “411” on what’s hot this summer. Our first swimwear review will be of the Andrew Christian “Show-It” swim trunks. The ‘comfy cup’ design inside gives a lift to my package and helps it say “HI” to the world. The cup is lined with soft elastic making it very comfortable for a long day at the beach or pool.

The materials used to create this sexy looking swimsuit are great. The trunks feel soft and at the same time durable. Review: N2N BT Jockstrap

I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed writing this review. Not only did I love what I was reviewing, a jockstrap, but I also had the chance to change my opinion about a brand. The brand in question was N2N Bodywear for which I have always had an inclination. From underwear to singlets and running tights, N2N design and color combinations have always caught my eye. I personally feel like all of their products are SEXY!

The background story on my opinion reversal is simple. Several months ago, I obtained the N2N Raider jock. I was excited to get it since it was a combination of two things I like which are jocks and mesh. Unfortunately, to my utter disappointment, the jock didn’t fit. I realized the issues with the jock included a small pouch that gave no amount of room for growth and a waistband that would have been for someone with a 40 inch waist. I obviously sent the item back with a frown on my face. Last week, when I was informed I was getting the N2N jock to review, I crossed my fingers and hoped my experience with the Raider jock was not to be repeated.

My hopes and prayers were answered. The N2N BT jock fit great. It was actually a bit loose and had an ample amount of room in the pouch. I reviewed a size large. I am curious as to how a smaller size would fit for comparison. The waistband is about a half inch wide. The leg straps and waistband were comfortable during wear. I felt the leg straps could have been a bit tighter. The pouch is the best part, being made of breathable, stretchy fabric. It is very soft to the touch as well. So soft, in fact, that I felt as if I was not wearing anything at all. The materials that make up this sexy number are high quality and worth every penny. The BT jock is well assembled and has one of the sexiest looks I have seen in underwear. If possible, I will be getting another one in a different color if that relays to you how I feel about this jock. I enjoyed wearing it all day as well as to the gym.

In conclusion, the N2N BT Jockstrap is a very comfy and sexy jockstrap that should be a part of any guy’s underwear wardrobe. I give it an overall rating of 5 on a scale of 5.

Review: Priape Wear Bruce Brief

It is briefs time and I’m trying out a pair from Priape Wear called the Bruce Brief. This brief is especially stylish for the upcoming summer months with its tropical pattern. This is another exciting brand carried by our friends at The Poster Hut here in Atlanta, GA. The Bruce Brief has a somewhat classic fit and style. I had the opportunity to review a size large in the red tropical pattern. The overall fit of the brief wasn’t bad. My package was well supported and the seat provided for good coverage. I had two issues, however, with the fit. The pouch has a classic style so it didn’t have a great deal of room as other modern designed briefs. Also, the seat rode up and would not stay in place. I know there are several styles available these days that are designed to show off your cheeks, but this style is not a good one for me.

The fabric is soft cotton and the waistband elastic is comfortable. The briefs have a great look and feel to them and are well constructed. The tropical print is very hot for a wild look. I personally love the look of the briefs and wish the fit had been better for my mini-van sized rear. I believe this brief would be great for daily wear, but from my experience, I wanted to take them off and go commando halfway through the day. Alas, opinions vary and so do body types. You will need to check out the briefs yourself and make a judgment call.

To sum it all up, I believe the Priape Bruce Brief is a festive addition to any summer wardrobe. I give it an overall rating of 4.2 on a scale of 5.

Review: Nasty Pig Sports Jockstrap

As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say, “I’m back”, and, I have another review of a great jockstrap. The jock in question is the Nasty Pig Sports Jock. I am sure you have heard of or seen the brand before. It is a brand that is predominately in the leather, latex, and rubber fetish world. I would love to review a few jocks in these categories because I believe it would be fun! This particular brand is also carried by our local friends at Poster Hut. Let’s begin with this nasty review! The Nasty Pig Sports Jock fit great. I reviewed a size large. I chose the one with the red trim. The jock wasn’t too tight in the waistband and I felt the pouch had enough room for my package. The waistband was two inches wide which is comparable to what you normally find in stores. Usually, a traditional athletic jockstrap has a three inch wide waistband and athletic swimmer jocks have a one inch waistband. I have always felt that the three inch wide band was too much so this was a nice change of pace. The leg straps were comfortable and thin and the rubber Nasty Pig logo on the front of the waistband never caused issues. The material of the jock is high quality and soft to the touch. Overall, I believe this jock was designed very well. It has elements of a traditional jock, and at the same time, has modern aspects as well.

You can find this jock in several color combinations, mostly black with accent trim in yellow, red, and white. You can also, however, get the jock in white with black trim. I believe this jock has a great look to it and, as I said before, it’s a modern take on the traditional jock look, both in design and material. I wore this jock all day as well as when I was at the gym and found it to hold up well. It is a great jock for everyday wear.

To sum it all up, I believe the Nasty Pig Sports Jock is a very high-quality jock. I give it an overall rating of 5 on a scale of 5.

So far they have raised just over $750 but much much more is needed. With the recession donations are down and the need is even higher than ever. If you can’t bid please make a donation on the ride. So far Chad has raised about half of what he raised last year and less than 20 percent of what he raised his first year on the ride.

Review: Gigo Jockstrap

The perfect weather is when it gets warmer because the warmer it gets, the less clothes I have to wear. And, it’s obviously the perfect weather for a jock! That being said, I want to tell you about a very bold jock I recently had the opportunity to review. It is the Gigo jockstrap. Gigo is a brand from Brazil. They have bold and unique patterns and just the right amount of style. I will admit from a personal perspective that the pouches of the jocks are a bit loud and bold for me. Some of these patterns, however, I do like.

The first thing you should know about this jock as well as the whole line of briefs, boxers, and thongs from Gigo is that the sizes run small. This should always be kept in mind when making your purchase. Because of my “junk in the trunk” build and pouch requirements, I had to go with an extra large. At first, I was skeptical. As I was putting the jock on, I was thinking, “This isn’t going to fit!” After getting it on and realizing that it is meant to have a very low cut look, I decided to give it a try. I was also hesitant about the leg straps as they are a bit wider than I am used to. I gave the jock the benefit of the doubt and wore it for the day. The jock was very comfortable to my amazement. It wasn’t too tight or loose. It rode low on my waist but wasn’t uncomfortable. The pouch material wasn’t binding at all which is a necessity of mine. More room in the pouch would have been preferred. The waistband, leg straps, and pouch were soft and comfortable. The pouch itself was breathable and form fitting. I would say this jock is well put together. Once again, I have to say for the most part, Gigo underwear uses a smaller size scale and bigger guys like myself need to think about sizing-up from what you normally buy.

I love the look of Gigo because of it’s boldness and uniqueness. It has a large assortment of patterns from bold to exotic that should satisfy anyone’s tastes. I wore the jock all day and found it to be comfortable overall. I did not, however, get the opportunity to wear the jock to the gym. Based on the style and patterns, I would say this is more of a fashion jock than a workout jock. But, then again, who am I to judge what you wear under your gym shorts. Wear what you love because that is all that matters!

To sum up my review, I think the Gigo jockstrap is an exotic and bold jock with a lot of attitude. I give it an overall rating of 4.6 on a scale of 5. This is based on the fact that the overall sizing runs small and the pouch, at least for me, could have used a bit more room.

Review: Schultz Jeans Briefs

I have mentioned several times in the past that my obsession in underwear focuses around jockstraps, but on occasion I venture outside the pouch and the straps. This past week I reviewed a pair of briefs that are pretty unique. The brand is Schultz Jeans and they are out of London, England. They are known for their designer jeans but also have a line of underwear for both him and her. Just like the Dirty Fukker jock that I reviewed last time, this line of underwear is available for those who are local to Atlanta, GA at Poster Hut.

Since I am a person with a complete bias towards anything that isn’t a jockstrap, I am probably the best person to review everything else. The specific Schultz briefs that I reviewed are the “Coming Soon” briefs. The very unique thing about the Schultz Jeans brand of underwear is that they have tag lines on the waistbands. Besides the “Coming Soon”, there are “I Want Out”, “Hands Free”, and “Heatseeker”. Besides the catchy phrases the briefs and the boxers also come in several bold colors.

The briefs fit pretty well overall. I sported a size large and felt that was the correct size for me. They covered all the areas I would want a pair of briefs to cover. I did feel however, that the pouch could have had a bit more room in it. Regardless of this, I felt the briefs fit well and was very comfortable. The material used was soft and had a ribbed texture. The combination of these factors lead to a well assembled pair of briefs. I felt that the brief wasn’t like the old style of briefs that had a great deal of material on the sides but at the same time are not as skimpy as bikini briefs. I love the look of the briefs. The colors are bold and the tag lines are very eye-catching. I wore the briefs all day long as well as at the gym and they held up very well.

To sum up, I believe the Schultz “Coming Soon” briefs are great and have just a bit of attitude. This is always a good thing. I give it an overall rating of 4.8 on a scale of 5.

Hey folks! I am back again with another review. This one is featuring my favorite type of underwear, the jockstrap. I would like to introduce you to the Dirty Fukker jock. Dirty Fukker is a recently new brand of underwear out of London, England. They design boxers, briefs, and jockstraps. I had the opportunity to review one of their products and I chose the jock. Another bonus for me when it came to reviewing this jock and this brand of underwear was instant gratification. You are probably wondering what the hell I mean by that. One of the perks of living in Atlanta, GA is a place called Poster Hut. Poster Hut is a great little store packed full of great stuff. One of these great things is the fact that Poster Hut is the exclusive distributer for Dirty Fukker underwear in the Atlanta metro area.

Now that I have told you how I picked up this great jock, I am going to tell you all about it. Let’s start with the fit of the jock. The moment I slid this jock on, I knew it was going to be a great fit. As I have mentioned before, I am a bigger guy, but in decent shape. I have on the Dirty Fukker jock in a size large. This size is great for me. It’s not too tight and not too big. The pouch offers enough room and the waistband and leg straps are comfortable. I feel that if I wanted it to be snugger, I would sport a medium. The jock, with emphasis on the pouch and leg straps, is made of very soft, comfy, and durable material.

Taking into account the fit and the material, this is a very well put-together jock. Along with how well put-together it is, it looks hot. It doesn’t pull anywhere you don’t want it to and it does a great job of showing off your package. I wore this jock multiple times and enjoyed it very much. I am sure that if I wanted to wear it to the gym, it would be comfortable there as well, but I like the way it looks under jeans, instead of gym shorts.

To sum it all up, I believe the Dirty Fukker jockstrap is a very high-quality jock. I give it an overall rating of 5 on a scale of 5.

Review: Joe Snyder Exclusive – Trunk, Jock, Thong & Bikini

I am back again with another review of some great stuff that our friends at Joe Snyder supplied us with. Actually, we didn’t just get one pair to review we got the whole line! This line from Joe Snyder has someone for everyone’s taste. It is the Joe Snyder Exclusive line. And it can only found at Undergear.com. Now reviewing a whole line is a tall order but I aim to please. As I write this review I have already had the privilege of sporting three of the four items in this line. And I plan on wearing making it four-for-four before the week is out.

Joe Snyder continues to use quality materials when constructing their underwear and this new line for Undergear.com is no exception. I recently brought you a review of the Joe Snyder Camo Thong and I can tell you they used the same comfortable and stretch material in the Joe Snyder Exclusive line. The fabric molds to your body and gives the feeling of total support without the feeling that you’re constricted at the same time. I think that if underwear can do that then you have found something you have to try on. Our good friends at Joe Snyder supplied us with size mediums to review and like I said last time I am more of a large, but that didn’t stop me from sporting these. The size mediums fit well and still give me the room I need.

Now I need to focus on something unique that has been designed into each style of this line. It is a “lift” system. I am sure you have all seen other lines that have some sort of “lift” constructed into it. Whether it is an internal sling that you have to attach around your package or an opening that allows your package to hang out like a suspensor jock; nothing can compare to what Joe Snyder has done. I have tried out many version of this some work, and some don’t. This one is a keeper! The more important feature is that it’s simple.

Basically you slide on the style you like, whether it is the bikini or the thong and you place your package through the whole. This gives your package its own pouch in the underwear separate from the rest. Once you have placed your package through the hole you lift up the pouch and snap it in place. Now what can be simpler than that? One other brand had something similar, well at least one that I thought enough of to buy and the only difference was that the whole pouch unsnapped. Now this might seem like a great idea. And believe me I have thought about it a great deal. But I feel the Joe Snyder version is much more practical. It gives you the same lift and coverage with the added sexiness, but not a lot of hassle. The comfort and lift of the pouch is the best feature and pictures cannot full describe the way it feels so get one on ASAP.

And finally, the last point to chat about is daily wear. I have worn the trunk, bikini, and the thong since I received the goods from Joe Snyder and I can say these are great for daily use. They are comfortable, stretchy and lift my package up well with no annoying side effects.

So to sum it all up, I believe the Joe Snyder Exclusive line is a crowd pleaser for all. I give it an overall rating of 4.8 on a scale of 5.

Review: HOM plume II micro briefs

Hey there! I have another interesting review for all you UnderwearNewsBrief.com fans. The reason why it’s so interesting is for two reasons. First, it is that it’s another pair of briefs. And that is a bit strange coming from a 30 something guy that wears jocks about 95% of the time. The second reason is that the type/style of brief is a bit exotic from the usual briefs I own myself. The briefs are the HOM plume II micro briefs. I reviewed the flesh colored micro briefs in size large.

Let’s get this review rolling. The fit of the briefs were comfortable. The size large worked well for me. As always, less is more for me, and these briefs pull that off well. The micro waistband is snug and very functional. The material is very soft and almost silk like. As well as a bit sheer. One big plus for me, I very much enjoy sheer and/or mesh when wearing briefs. It gives them a sexy look without revealing too much. The pouch area had a good amount of room. My junk didn’t feel confined. The seat of the briefs had great coverage and held in position all day long. I however did not wear these too the gym, so I can’t comment on their ability to hold up while working out. But I would say the style alone tells me these are not workout gear material. But then again, that call is always up to the wearer.

Overall, the cut and style, along with the high quality materials make this brief one well put-together and very sexy item. But the look is not for the timid at heart. You have to be a truly man’s man to wear this brief. The waistband is micro and gives off the look of women’s underwear a bit. This is compounded by the flesh color. Now this brief is available in black as well. So if you are not a fan of the flesh color you have another option. However, I do have to say that after wearing this brief I found it to be very comfortable and functional. And the skimpy and sheer look gives it a very sexy look. So I would totally wear this brief again, if someone would be kind enough to pass along a pair in black.

So to sum it all up, I believe the HOM plume II micro brief is a very stylish and exotic pair of briefs. I give it an overall rating of 4.6 on a scale of 5.

This is my first review of underwear so I will try not to ramble too much. Underwear is a hobby for me and I am known for getting carried away. Today’s “item of interest” is the Joe Snyder Camo Thong. Obviously, to give this item a proper review I had to try it out for a day, so I did. I spent last Monday wearing it under my business casual attire for work. And I have to say that it wasn’t too bad. The thong fit pretty well for being a size medium when I would normally sport a large in most brands. Prior to putting on the thong I was a bit worries since I own another Joe Snyder item that is a “one size fits all” jock. The pouch on the thong is very stretchy and allowed for a great fit around my package. This particular type of thong doesn’t have a waistband but its sides are comfortable and didn’t cut or irritate my waist. The pouch is the best feature because it molded and stretched well around my package and I really didn’t notice I was wearing it at all.

However, the review is not over. I still have to tell you about the backside. With a thong, the rear strap/string is the most important part of a thong when it comes to “comfort”. I am much more a fan of Y-back thongs and this camo thong is a T-back. The Joe Snyder Camo Thong has a bit more material then what I am normally comfortable with, but it wasn’t too bad to sport the whole day. I never felt the need to jump up from my desk, strip and rip it off or anything like that.

Like I mentioned earlier, the stretchy material is very comfortable and light so I felt like I wasn’t wearing anything at all. It is basically like going commando but with support. The camo print itself is hot and I had several friends (who I shared a photo or four with) said it is HOT! Overall, the thong looked pretty well put together, very solid design. For a guy like myself with a few extra pounds, but who carries it well, I think I look pretty good in it, especially since I was sporting a size medium. I totally see myself sporting this thong again while at work or out having fun. Hopefully it will be a situation with others will get to enjoy it too.

So to sum it all up, I believe the Joe Snyder Camo Thong is a pretty hot item. I give it an overall rating of 4.6 on a scale of 5.

How is the recession affecting your underwear buying?

Well I hate to admit it but the economy as well as a few other things going on in my life, has caused me to tighten my belt on all expenses, including my underwear purchases. I have actually not made any new purchase of underwear for about six months now. But that hasn’t stopped me from keeping my eyes open and checking out all the sales going on at some of my favorite online stores. I get a regular influx of email flyers to keep me in the loop on new sales and styles that are out there. And in between the occasional meeting at work I do a little online window shopping to bring a smile to my face. The sites that I frequent the most are Skiviez.com, InternationalJock.com, Jockstrap Central.com, and Undergear.com. I have really enjoyed my experience with Skiviez the most. The website is very user-friendly and organized. They have both a “sale” section as well as a “clearance” section. I enjoy checking out both each time I check out the site. Their customer service has also been outstanding, a real example of “southern hospitality right there in Ashland, Virginia.

But I don’t think it’s time to put a halt on your underwear purchases entirely. It’s time to be a savvy sleuth and watch for sales and shop around before you make a purchase. That way you see what’s available and get the best deals. No matter what the economy is like, I love clearance! I am always looking for underwear under ten bucks. Besides the websites I have mentioned already there are some real stores that if you do a little digging you can find some brand name items for a great price. The stores that I am referring to are TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshall’s. You have to keep an eye open but I have found some great deals on C-IN2 jocks and no-show briefs. I don’t think you have to sacrifice quality or brand when shopping for your favorite undies you just have to have patience and be ready to pounce when the right deal comes along.

Why are guys scared of thongs?

What is on the mind of the average guy when they think of thongs for men? And why is there some kind of taboo against wearing them. I myself have worn thongs on and off over the past of seven years. I have times when I am all about them and times when I am not. I have a pretty decent collection of various styles. Some are very comfortable and some are just the opposite. But obviously I don’t have any of the issues that seem to be floating around out in the general population. Let’s try and see if we can make the thong a bit less scary for all the guys out there.

A thong is not just for women. Men deserve variety in their underwear choices as well. If we are going to have equality, we should have it everywhere, even underneath our clothes. Also, men deserve the chance to be sexy, pure and simple. Being sexy is the really reason thongs were created in the first place. To make a women look sexy to reveal more to their other half without revealing everything. Men should be able to do the same. And as luck would have it there are an increasing number of underwear manufactures that are beginning to see that. They are taking the thong and giving it a bit of a twist so that men can start to see that a thong can be something both sexy and macho. Guys, don’t be afraid to show off a little more. The end result might be more exciting and unexpected then you think.

One of my very first thongs is a great example of a thong meant to appeal to guys. It was the Tactics jock that I picked up from Undergear.com. Now you are probably thinking, “it’s a jock” but it isn’t. The Tactics jock is actually a Y-back thong. It has both a sexy and athletic look and feel to it. The waistband and pouch are made of very comfortable material. I still own this jock and always love to wear it. By the way, I own the Tactics jock in a size medium. The only negative about the Tactics jock is that Undergear.com no longer carries it. I am not sure if that means it has been discontinued. Another great jock that also likes to hide under the name “jock” is the RIPS jock. This thong also has the same characteristics that the Tactics jock has. It is a Y-back thong that has a great pouch made of comfortable material that has an athletic look and feel to it, besides being sexy. I actually picked up several pairs of the RIPS jock back in the day when it was the best thing out there. Unfortunately I bought them in a size medium and I wasn’t able to stay that size. I am currently back in the range to wear the medium but I was able to find the RIPS jock in a large and it fits very well, with a good amount of room. The downside to the RIPS jock is that it has been discontinued and can only be found on a few sites that still have remaining stock.

One thing that you can conclude from my choices is that I have a preference for Y-back thongs. For me, I feel that the best thongs are ones that are so comfortable you don’t know that the rear string is “you know where”. And to make that happen, less material is better. So a Y-back style thong is for me. But I don’t want you guys out there to ignore the other style that is out there, the T-back thong. I have several in my collection that are T-backs. But again for me less material is more comfortable when constructing the rear string. Usually, with a T-back thong there is more material to deal with near the waistband. However, there are a few brands that make a version of the T-back thong that I find suitable. Two brands that have a T-back thong that have the right cut and style are Unico and Sauvage. As I write this article I am actually sporting the Unico thong. I would have to say that it’s very comfortable. There is plenty of room in the pouch and the rear string is barely noticeable. I do like this brand but it does have one flaw. The sizing runs small so you would want to always get at least one size up then what you normally get. My Unico thong is a size extra large.

So gentleman, take the plunge and try on a thong. You never lose anything by trying. If you feel that it might be a waste of $$$ then you just need to check out a few discount stores or website that have one on clearance and pick one up. And after trying it, if you still don’t like it, I will take it off your hands. For me, you can never own too many.
