This is the year of the jock! So we proclaimed earlier this year, and so far I don’t think it’s been wrong. ABC Underwear has sent us a lot of undies, some you have already seen reviewed, and I got to review their Odysseus Roman Tie Jock. It is a really cool jock and similar to the Marco jock that Alex reviewed on video a few weeks back. The biggest difference is that it has a lace-up front!

When I first saw Alex’s review, I was very curious as to how a jock like this would be for daily wear. I have tried lace-up underwear before and it didn’t go so well. The lace up part never really creates a great pouch; it always fits strange and usually has annoyed me after a few hours (and I’m being generous by saying hours).

The Odysseus Roman Tie Jock was different. I wore it out for a day of full errands. I knew this would either be great or end in disaster. The pouch on the jock is a full pouch, which really surprised me; it doesn’t lace all the way down. I got a red and yellow one. Both are really fun colors for a jock and would be great for a night out or a really fun date pair.

I really liked this, the pouch fit great. The waistband was very old school and 3 inches (it’s not often you see those). If you saw the video review with Alex, the jock had some extra space in the pouch, this one however fit great. I will definitely be wearing it often!

Pro:

  • Love the red and yellow
  • Laces didn’t make it hard to wear

Con:

  • Wish it had a more “traditional jock pouch” mesh material

If you have been a long time reader of the blog you know that Cocksox is one of my favorite underwear brands. You may also know that I am not a fan of animal print, however, when I saw the new Carnivore line, I thought it could be really cool.  Go figure that I, the animal print hater, would really like the designs.

If you notice a theme here, this is my second jock that I have reviewed. You might say this is the year of the jock. It is also one of the few styles of Cocksox I had to yet to try, so I was super curious on how Cocksox would do a jock. They always have an amazing pouch in everything they do, so I hoped it would work on their jocks as well.

Saying this was a good jock is an understatement. It was amazing! I wanted to keep them on for a second day. They fit just right, the straps didn’t move or ride up and the pouch was perfection. I would say that this jock is the best pair of underwear that I’ve reviewed this year.  Keep an eye out for it on our Holiday Picks list!

If you want a jock that is functional and fun, I highly recommend this jock from Cocksox. I can see many of our readers wearing it to the gym and enjoying all of the looks they get!

Pro:

  • Really fun print and something out of the ordinary
  • Great fit and pouch

Con:

  • The only suggestion I have is make to make the waistband more interesting!

I was away on a business trip when my new undies arrived, but was so excited when David showed them to me on Skype.  From far away they had a really nice looking cut, great color (a very subtle purple) and fun design.  David told me that he was far less impressed with them in person.  On returning home, I’m a little less impressed, but not totally disappointed.

Upon wearing the 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex briefs, my first thought was comfortable and actually not bad looking, but David noticed that they were asymmetrical (the vertical lines outlining the crotch were different lengths), and said they looked cheap.  When I looked in the mirror, I had to agree, the lines were different lengths and gave a very uneasy feel to the look.  Besides that, the waistband lettering is uneven (and you’d think the Undz part of the name would be front and center, but it’s the Org that sits over the crotch), and overall they look like they were bought off of the bargain rack after not passing inspection, they have that “as is” look to them.

Where the UndzOrg undies excel is in price.  At $4.99 each (available in purple, grey, blue, white, pink, green, and black), the price is what you’d expect to pay for a pair of bargain brand underwear.  Just as a side note: the website is awful.  Incorrect grammar, spelling, and it’s just offensive in how little it seems the company thinks of their customers.

Undz Boxer Brief

There are so many amazing underwear manufacturers coming out of Canada that I was extremely curious and excited to have an opportunity to evaluate a recent boxer brief released by Undz.Org.  Just to add some context around Undz, the company focuses on only two styles of underwear; boxers and briefs and only in solid colors.  The intent is to offer trendy, low cost, and colorful men’s underwear. They also pride themselves on the fact that they offer a 30-day return and exchange policy on items that are unworn and have the original tags attached.  Perhaps more surprisingly is the fact that all underwear is priced at $4.99!

This particular pair titled, “apple green” is offered as both a boxer and brief.   The classic boxer brief is designed to provide additional coverage around the leg and additional support around the waist by incorporating a Spandex waistband.   The materials consist of 95% cotton and 5% Spandex, which are washed again and again by the manufacturer to assure color quality and size control.

I’m not a huge fan of the apple green color, but overall it works just fine and the company name printed across the waistband adds a little stylish pop to the solid color boxer.  They do offer them in other primary colors such as light blue, black, purple and grey that work much better.   Clearly these are no nonsense underwear at their finest but for the price, you can’t beat it; especially in this economy.

I found this pair to be extremely comfortable, well-constructed and provide a high quality of materials and definitely represent practical and fashionable underwear.   I wore these all day and not once found them uncomfortable or even realized that I was wearing a boxer brief.   While I’m not overly excited about another plain boxer, I was impressed by the quality and price point.   I would encourage you to check out their website to determine for yourself.

Personal scoring as follows:

Overall: 4.5

Editors Note: Undiz.org sell their undies for $4.99 for each pair!

When I found out I was going to review an N2N singlet, I thought it would be a singlet like the ones wrestlers wear.  Not quite.  The singlet I received was more mesh-like in appearance–kind of like those mesh workout shorts but with larger holes.  It did not seem like it would be all that comfy, yet it was.  The nylon and spandex blend (83%/17%) is really comfortable despite appearances to the contrary.

The first time I wore the singlet, it was as a surprise for my boyfriend and he liked it a lot.  I was honestly surprised at how comfortable the singlet was.  My previous bad experiences with N2N thongs left me a bit guarded, but I came away very happy with this singlet.  Obviously an item like this isn’t meant to be worn at work or the gym, so I can’t really speak to how comfortable it is after sitting in an office chair for 8 hours or after running on a treadmill.  I see its primary use as erotic/fetish underwear–calling it lounge wear may be stretching it.  But however you slice it, it is comfortable and easy to take care of.

Other than the mesh styling, the singlet has few other downsides.  The most obvious is that it can be a bit difficult to get into correctly.  Even if you think you are getting into it the right way, it may still be inside-out.

Pros

  • Sexy mesh styling
  • Comfortable fabric blend

Cons

  • Not every day wear
  • Can be difficult to get into
  • Mesh styling may become uncomfortable for some

NDS WEAR is new to me as a brand and the packaging with the NDS WEAR logo seemed minimalistic; however, when I opened the package, I pulled out what I can only describe as a very sexy European designer pair of sheer erotic wear composed of 82% nylon and 18% elastane.  They are comfortable to wear, but above all are very sexy!

The biggest feature of the open-side Zeus iss the comfortable material of the medium size waste band.  The one thing I hate about bikini and open-side briefs are waste bands that are too small which makes them prone to sliding, binding and chaffing.  You will not have a problem with this waste band.  The other big feature is a very comfortable form-fitting pouch.  I’ve tried on other sheer type underwear in the past, but I can’t recall many that had a comfortable pouch.

Pros:

  • Comfortable pouch with well constructed seams
  • Machine washable on cold cycle with like colors

Cons:

  • Erotic wear, not daily wear

I’m all for trying new things—be it food, activities or in this case underwear—so I was extremely excited to hear that I was getting a g-string to review—something I have very little experience with (being that it’s outside my boxers and jocks world).  David and I opened our packages at the same time and we were less than enthused at the looks of our new arrivals. Both just seemed very bland.  Mine admittedly had a better shape to it than David’s and at least some semblance of style.  Maybe they’d be comfortable though?

I wasn’t so lucky.  The pouch is made from an 82% nylon 12% elastane blend which is normally a fantastic feeling fabric—very silky.  Unfortunately, it bunches and feels like it pinches the skin.  I wore it out to dinner and after returning home, found that the shape of the pouch had changed so that the sides were completely vertical and not covering everything that they should have been.  I’ve worn thongs before, and can quite enjoy the feeling of it riding up the crack, but this elastic band was very harsh and chafed, rather than feeling gentle up the back.

Available in two sizes (S/M and L/XL) at $9.95 from ABCunderwear.com it’s not a bad price, and the variety of colors is great but the comfort of the g-string and the lack of shape leave much to be desired.

Review by: Keith

I had never heard of Luis & Juke underwear until our fearless editor Tim unboxed this pair.  When I put the “Stevie 1950” on and wore them, I found them to be a fantastic pair of underwear!  Not only does the 95% cotton 5% elastane blend feels great, but the briefs also have a great open fly classic trunk cut, and a super sexy design.  The design and blend of colors work really well together and I’ve already received some compliments wearing them!

The first time I wore these, they were so comfortable!  When I first put them on I noticed that they rode low on my butt, but that’s part of the appeal of the cut. The pouch in front did a very good job at enhancing, which is always a plus in a good pair of underwear.  All day at the office I felt like I was wearing nothing, which is how a good pair of underwear should feel!  I did not have the chance to run them through a gym workout, but I’m certain they would still be super-comfortable.  Care was very easy.  Just wash in cold water, and contrary to the directions on the package, you can put these briefs in the dryer.  Very easy.

This is the first outing I have had with a pair of Luis & Juke briefs, and I really hope they keep up the good work!

Our Underwear of the Month Last month was the Armani Cotton Strech Trunks. Armani generously sent us a pair to review as well

This is my second pair of Empro Emporio Armani. I have a pair of briefs I bought about two years ago and really liked them. They were pretty well made and I looked forward to trying these out. As we know, boxer briefs are not my favorite thing in the world,  but, in the last few years my opinion has been changing as more and more brands really begin to put some thought into the construction and support of the style.

I wore these to work. I do work in an office but I don’t sit all day. I have to go from meeting to meeting and run around our office,  which is no small feat. I really liked the fit and feel of these. I would have loved them to have a little more spandex to really form to my body but they were a good fit. They didn’t ride up, or give me any of the troubles I’ve had from boxer briefs in the past.

The pair fit me pretty well. In all actuality I really didn’t think about them being trunks. I know that may sound strange, but being a brief lover, I’m not used to having undies on my legs. I usually at some point feel them or they annoy me in some way. These didn’t at all and I will happily wear them again. They were solid black with a conservative waistband, and if you want a simple pair of classic trunks, then these are for you!

Pros:

  • Didn’t ride up or bunch
  • Very classic styling
  • Great for someone active

Cons

  • Wish for more of a spandex blend
  • Would love some bright colors in these

The N2N Bodywear Vortex (NS2 version) is an extremely nice pair of bikini swimwear with contrasting colors crisscrossing above the pouch from the waistband to either side.  I was able to try the white with thin teal and silver stripes.  Other versions of this bikini have a wide stripe, I found the thinner stripe to be a much more suitable design   The white portion of the bikini is bright white and contrasted very nicely with my summer tanned skin.  The teal and silver stripes are also bright and shiny.

This bikini is 83% Nylon and 17% Spandex, and has a nice feel against the skin.  The material has a medium amount of stretch to it, but I found the large to be tight and a bit snug.  There is no liner in this particular bikini, which although quite complimentary , when it becomes wet I found to be rather revealing.  The white is not for the faint of heart as it can become somewhat shear.  Frontal coverage is adequate and the pouch size is ample enough for most everyone.  I believe the pouch to be fitted and enhancing with the way it is sewn.  The seat provides little coverage and was revealing as it did not come up far enough on my lower back to cover everything.

The price, as listed on the N2N Bodywear website is $26.  So, the price is fairly reasonable for a specialty pair of bikini swimwear.  The construction is fantastic with reinforced sewing and perfect angles to the fabric stripes.  Overall, the N2N Vortex Bikini is sexy, fun, and exciting.

The N2N Bodywear Odyssey Pouch Boxer in color Aluminum was an interesting pair of underwear to try.  I say that because I found the coloring on the Aluminum to be exciting and fresh, but the fabric to be entirely too stretchy.  I enjoyed the styling, but found the waistband to be a plain piece of white fabric.  So, this may be the most challenging review I have had the pleasure of writing.

I will offer a bit of advice, be careful while putting these on.  The first leg was fine, but my foot caught the stretchy leg of the second and I nearly killed myself falling over.  Go ahead and laugh; It is appropriate at this time.  After pulling this pair of underwear up and on, I had to actually reach into the front and put myself into the pouch because of the way it was placed and sewn on the front.  The crotch fit close and I noticed the seam in the back was enjoying its high positioning.

While wearing this pair of pouch boxers (fancy name for boxer brief I suppose), I went on my normal routine.  After teaching a couple of classes at the college, I found the underwear to be supportive and extremely comfortable.  The waistband, while plain except for a fabric N2N logo sewn on the front, was comfortable.  The leg length hit mid-thigh and was great.  The waistband sat below the waist and felt a little low when compared to other boxer briefs.

This pouch boxer is 90% Cotton and 10% Spandex.  This makes for a nice feel, but it was a bit stretchy before washing (after washing they fit much better and were true to size Large).  The leg length was perfect and the pouch ample (there will be no complaints from the above average crowd with this pouch).  Aluminum was the coloring I tried with each pouch boxer receiving their own special coloring due to the dyeing process.

The price, as listed on the N2N Bodywear website for the Odyssey Pouch Boxer is $22.  The price is just right for a specialty pair of underwear that you will not find anywhere else.  The construction is fantastic with nice stitching and perfect symmetry.  Overall, the N2N Bodywear Odyssey Pouch Boxer is a fairly nice pair of underwear and would be a nice addition to any underwear collection.

The N2N Bodywear Hula Boy X-Bikini swimwear in Black Lava has a great floral pattern in white, gray, and red on a black background.  This bikini has white stitching to add some flair to the waistband and seams.  Instead of having one piece of fabric running from front to back, this bikini has a separate pouch sewn into the fabric.  This is a great feature as I have found many bikini swimwear items to have an odd feel to them, but nothing odd here.  The fabric that runs through the crotch is slim at about two inches across to prevent bunching and pulling.

The pouch is ample and perfect for most guys.  The way it is sewn, it provides definition and lift to the front.  The seat covers perfectly and looks great.  There is a seam that runs between the cheeks to provide more definition to the rear and provides a little lift.

Construction of this bikini is 83% Nylon and 17% Polyester with no liner or draw cord.  The stitching is reinforced with the rear and the pouch to be sewn separately.[KN1]   There is a fabric N2N logo on the right side of the pouch.  Size Large was a great fit and was true to size.

The price, as listed on the N2N Bodywear website is $33. The price is a tad high for me, but this is for a specialty pair of bikini swimwear.  Overall, the N2N Bodywear Hula Boy X-Bikini swimwear in Black Lava is a perfect fit with perfect styling.

The N2N Bodywear Aqua Jock (SJ1) has to be the most erotic pair of swimwear I have ever had the chance of owning.  It simply cannot be described how great I felt wearing it.  It definitely makes a clear, concise statement about a guy that would wear this to the beach or pool.  To wear this jock is to wear it to entice. All attention will be on you when you wear it.  If you dare….

in the pair that I tried has a white waistband and pouch while the leg straps are turquoise and silver striped.  The white portions are extremely bright, the turquoise is vivid, and the silver is slightly muted, but not quite gray.  The leg straps hit below the cheeks and lift while staying put.  The waistband has a draw cord that looks really hot if you leave it untied as it is on the outside and not on the inside of the waistband.

This jock is 83% Nylon and 17% Spandex.  There is no liner in the jock, which makes the white slightly see through when wet, but not overly so.  The white is revealing, but feels extremely sexy against the skin.  The pouch is ample and covers perfectly.  The leg straps are about an inch and a quarter wide and comfortable.

The price, as listed at the time of this review on the N2N Bodywear website is $34.  The price is slightly high for a jock, but it is a specialty pair of swimwear that you will not find many companies creating.  The construction is fantastic with reinforced sewing and perfect positioning of the leg straps.  Overall, the N2N Bodywear Aqua Jock (SJ1) is simply amazing.

AussieBum has created this new line called, Flame and rightfully named.  As you can probably guess from the photo, these trunks celebrate the man who dares to play with fire!   If you’re looking to add big and bold color or simply wanting to incorporate diversity into your underwear collection, you might consider this new collection from AussieBum.

The Flame collection is comprised of three separate fabrics that work well together and provide the ideal fit that you have come to expect from a traditional trunk.  These sexy undies have the branded waistband and come in four amazing colors embossed in silicon for a provocative yet comfortable fit.   With a blend of fabrics which includes 59% polyester, 31% cotton and 10% Elastane, this construction makes for a breathable, soft and well supported pair of sexy underwear.

On initial testing, I wore this pair all day long and didn’t want to take them off at the end of the day.  They look expensive and feel so equally.  I never once experienced a problem with them The pair stayed in place without being restrictive. Likewise, the pair includes a double layered standard-size pouch which will go a long way towards longevity.

AussieBum has quickly moved up my underwear chart as one of my top 5 underwear manufacturers. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed with this line.  Make sure to check out their additional celebrated colors.  They might actually inspire you explore the hot fame that burns from within!

It’s always intriguing to learn of new manufacturers who are investigating new technologies and applying them to stylish and functional new fabrics.  Having the opportunity to review my first pair of Ergowear underwear, I did a little research on the company and this specific pair—the InCopper Max Premium Boxer.  This particular line offered by Ergowear is differentiated by the antimicrobial fabric that they call InCooper.  This material was specifically developed by Ergowear and takes advantage of the latest innovation in copper antimicrobial year technology to help protect your skin against infections by microorganisms.  According to Ergowear, the powerful germicidal properties of this fabric do not decrease over time or with washing cycles.

In terms of construction and esthetics, the boxer is designed with a three-dimensional pouch with the intent of offering an exclusive shape-enhancing and yet comfortable lifting effect.   As shown in the picture, the pair comes in a thin pin stripping fabric in a flesh tone color.  In my opinion, a flesh tone color is not flattering on any skin tone regardless of body shape or size.  The pair I tested was well constructed and fit quite well with no problems to mention.   The 1 1/3” waistband offers extra support and a more athletic look.  The Ergowear logo travels across the front of the waistband and thus far, continues to keep its shape after multiple washes.

My only concern with this pair, besides the color choice, is the manufacturer’s ability to create something that is both fabric technology forward and crafting a boxer that further enhances the pouch that is successful—stick with one or the other.  These contrived attempts to create an enhancing pouch leave a lot to be desired.  It appears that every manufacturer is on the same bandwagon which unfortunately is the current trend.  Either you’re anatomically blessed or you’re not.  Gentlemen, feel comfortable in your own body and let a good pair of functional underwear speak for itself.   What’s next, two little Viagra pills with each pair?

After spending three months in Italy, David came back to the states with a new respect for underwear.  He fell in love with the style, comfort, and fabrics used in European underwear.  Since being back in the U.S., he has developed a fondness for high quality underwear such as 2xist, Go Softwear, and by far his favorite, an Italian company, Intimissimi.

Keith is a boxers kind of guy.  Although he has a soft spot for Ginch Gonch, his favorite underwear is whatever comes in a 3 or 4 pack from Target.  David hopes this will change with his introduction to some of the finer threads that he and Keith will be reviewing.  After reviewing their first two pairs, Keith is starting to realize how much of his life he’s wasted wearing bargain brand underwear.

This seamless underwear line features a series of mesh patterns from Jamaican to Signature.  We were given the Jamaican and Square patterns to review.  Both patterns are available in a variety of colors.  The Jamaican Mesh is available in Euro Gray (reviewed), Modena Red,  Jet Black, Midnight Blue, Sky Blue, Iris Yellow and Paparazzi Pink.  The Square Mesh is available in Black (reviewed), Amparo, Lily Green, Vanilla, Euro Gray, and Sky Blue.  The array of vibrant and subtle color choices allows for anyone to find a pair that will meet their tastes.

As for fit and function, we were hesitant to wear them for an extended amount of time given their mesh appearance. Who really enjoys skin to jean friction? The Jamaican Mesh, once put on, stretches to have an open mesh that makes skin visibility quite high and quite sexy.  The Square Mesh does not open as much, but shows just as much skin. This exposure made us wary of putting them on under a pair jeans or another harder fabric.  However, fears aside, we were pleasantly surprised at the comfort and support they provided.  They have no visible pouch in the front, as they are a unisex brief, but were able to expand where necessary to allow for comfort.  A more endowed individual, however, may have difficulty getting a proper fit.  There are two sizes to the briefs and possible larger size would accommodate more in the front.  That limitation in size choice does lead one to believe that these are meant for smaller individuals.  The material combination of 95% Nylon and 5% Spandex is quite breathable and, to the touch, feels as you would expect an Italian Jaquered product to feel.  All in all they are a comfortable, attractive and very sexy pair of underwear.

The Raider X G thong from N2N Bodywear is, at first glance, an interesting  thong.  The mesh look is very attractive, and the enhancing pouch does a great job “enhancing” (even if you don’t need any help with that).  The bright pink is a little bright, but I could see how it could be sexy.  If pink is not your thing, you at least have the ability to get the thong in white, black, or light blue.  The thong is an 86% nylon, 14% spandex blend which would be very comfortable if there were more slack in the thong part of the thong.

I decided to test-run the thong on a casual Friday at work (a desk job), which meant wearing them under a pair of jeans.  I managed half a work-day before I just had to take the thong off; it was that uncomfortable.  The fit in the waist was great, and I had no problem with the “enhancing” pouch.  The big problem was with the thong strap which loops under the butt.  It did not have enough slack to make wearing the thong for everyday wear all that comfortable.  At times the strap just tore into my but  and even made sitting very uncomfortable.  For short term use however, the Raider X G thong is a great thong with very sexy styling.

The Popsicle G is very similar in design and feel to its thong cousin, the Raider X G.  Like its cousin, the Popsicle G has a particular problem with its thong length.  The Popsicle G does for N2N’s swimwear what the Raider X G does for N2N’s thongs: it shows off the butt and “enhances” certain features (whether or not you need the “enhancing” in the first place).  The Popsicle G features slightly more nylon than the Raider X G(87% vs 86%) in the fabric blend (87% nylon, 17% spandex), but otherwise it feels just like the Raider down to the elastic waistband.  This includes the lack of slack in the thong part of the Popsicle. My pair was dark pink with yellow stenciling, though N2N does give you a choice of yummy colors including: raspberry, glacial blue, lime, orange, and lemon ice.

I had an opportunity to give the Popsicle G a thorough trial in a private, deserted pool, Which was a good thing since the Popsicle became so uncomfortable while swimming around that I opted to just take it off completely and swim naked.  Most of the irritation was from the lack of slack in the thong strap, which loops under the butt to join at the “enhancing” pouch in front.  If there was a little more give in the pouch, the Popsicle G would be really comfortable to wear while swimming, and I am certain that it would grab plenty of attention!

I love ingenuity in design and I love underwear. When I was doing my normal browse through “What’s New” online, I stumbled across one of the more unique designs I have seen lately—the K’Mando Strapless Pouch which I immediately purchased.

The K’Mando promised to feel like you were wearing nothing at all while worn under jeans or gym clothes. When I received my product in the mail I was severely disappointed. Upon inspection the K’Mando seemed to be a tiny sock like pouch with two metal snap buttons on the side to close. The fabric/material indeed also seemed like sock quality.

One advertised feature of the K’Mando was three separate compartments to “hold all your parts gently in place”. I still can only find one unless they are counting the tiny room in front and the barely noticeable seam on the bottom.

I just had to try this contraption on which was where my struggle began. Now I consider myself fairly average to slightly above in the size department and the K’Mando simply does not fit. It is available in one size and unless I spent an hour in a freezing pool of water, I doubt I would ever be able to get it to fit properly. The material did not stretch enough to accommodate much.

Normally I can find something I like in a product that isn’t my cup of tea, but I am sorely disappointed in this design. Hopefully a version 2.0 will be made and I can try again.

I spend way too much money each year on new swimsuits but I find myself consistently wearing the few pairs I own by Andrew Christian. I was very excited to get the chance to review their Almost Naked Swim Brief. Upon arrival, I could immediately tell the swim brief was made from the same great quality materials that I’ve been used to getting with Andrew Christian. The tag line for the product line is “Be a Devil, Feel Like an Angel—and that pretty much sums up my review here. For starters, this style is not for the shy. There is no lining on the pouch of the suit so every little contour shows through. The front pouch is designed as “hang free” so it really “puts it all out there.” This is not a suit I would wear in front of my family. However, if you were planning a quiet evening of night swimming with a partner or someone you wanted to “impress,” this might be the suit to grab.

The material is Sport UPF 50 Fade Resistant Fabric, which means, if you take care of it correctly, it should keep its vibrant color even after multiple wears in the sun. I’ve never tanned through a bathing suit before nor have I sun burned through one, so I’m not sure how the UPF works for your actual skin. The material stretches quite well but I did find the size small a bit too small around the leg opening and waist. The pouch has plenty of room for all different sized men.

I will probably wear this swim brief less than my other Andrew Christian designs, and maybe only when feeling a little risqué.

Pros: Great Quality fabric and construction, per usual Andrew Christian

Con: Wearing the suit gives onlookers a free class on the male anatomy

What are the words you would use to describe a pair of underwear you find incredibly sexy?  Whatever they may be, you will definitely use them to describe the N2N Black Bikini.  Black is the nickname for this particular line of N2N underwear and brings to mind a sleek, sexy look that is mimicked in the style and fabric.

The N2N Black Bikini is shiny, ultra soft and meant to enhance what you have up front with an ample pouch that stretches and fits like a glove.  The fabric is 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex.  The sides are approximately an inch wide at their smallest and the rear covers well.  There is a rubberized N2N logo on the back center seated directly below the waist.  The back of the bikini covers well and contours a bit as well.  From back to front, the pouch sits low and is meant to cover what you have up front and not much else.  The pouch is roomy and a nice size with the fabric allowing for plenty of stretch.

I wore these while driving two hours to work, working six and a half hours, a break at a local bar and driving home two more hours.  I wore these for a long day to see how they would hold up to everyday wear.  The fit was good, but I did feel a little warm throughout the day while wearing them.  The N2N Black Bikini may be best utilized as a pair of special underwear for dates, clubbing, etc.

The price, as listed on the N2N Bodywear website is $26.  So, the price is fairly reasonable for a specialty pair of underwear.  There are special instructions dealing with the care of the Black style:  *Chlorine, bleach, oil (lube, suntan lotion, baby oil, etc…) may break down the special matte coating of this novelty fabric.  I do not mind special instructions (cold wash and hang dry makes things last longer), but some guys would not want to take the time involved in special care instructions.

Overall, the N2N Black Bikini is sexy, hot, fun, exciting and thought invoking.  I thoroughly enjoyed this pair of N2N underwear and will definitely be saving them for special occasion.

Jake Joseph trunks are an exciting change from the regular fabric trunks I am used to.  Composed of 95% Bamboo Viscose and 5% Elastic, these trunks are soft and stretchy.  They conformed to my body and felt extremely nice against my skin.  Size Large was a good fit but I think a medium may have been a better fit as this pair seemed to be a bit big.

To be competitive in the trunk market, I get the impression that most companies feel they have to have a pattern or some exotic design printed on the trunk.  With Jake Joseph trunks, the gimmick is the fabric.  The overall design is what one would think of when considering trunks.  The design is basic black but the waistband has the Jake Joseph name in stylized silver lettering.  This made the trunk feel slightly more fashion-forward.

The pouch was the same soft material and extremely comfortable—soft and supportive for everyday wear and all day comfort.  The pouch was interesting with a normal fly look, but a look inside revealed a horizontal bar.  I tried the fly and it seemed rather normal to use.  Even though there was a fly, there was also the pouch aspect.  While the pouch was fairly standard, the elasticity and softness of the fabric would conform to a guy of any size.

I wore these for normal daily wear and found them to be comfortable, stretchy, supportive and soft.  The fabric allowed for my khaki pants to slip on easily and I never felt like the trunk was sticking to the fabric and pulling on my pants.  This is something I cannot tolerate from a pair of underwear.

Overall, the fit was good with a soft and comfortable fabric.  I found the underwear to be a bit big, but washing and drying them fixed that issue and made them true to size.  The style was fairly normal, but I loved the bamboo fabric (I will be buying more bamboo undies).  While I thoroughly enjoyed these trunks, I did find a couple of negatives.  The price, with no discounts and straight from Jake Joseph, is $37.  Quality isn’t cheap.  Also, the pouch/fly combo was rather strange.

Jake Joseph Classic Brief

From the various reviews I’ve conducted in the past several months, I’ve noticed one common denominator that runs true with every brief that I’ve tested—if the design isn’t well constructed, you’ll fail with that particular style.  I don’t know if it’s pure luck or coincidence, but it all comes down to construction.  In my humble opinion, this must be the fundamental focus when designing a brief.  Because they cover the least amount of the body of any other pair of underwear (minus thongs and jocks), it’s critical that the manufacturer hits the mark when it comes to how a pair is technically constructed.

The black pair of Jake Joseph briefs I recently tried simply failed in this area.  Don’t get me wrong, the quality of materials, which include 95% bamboo viscose and 5% spandex, nailed it when it comes to comfort. Likewise, the classic black color along with a perfected waistband that includes the signature Jake Joseph name makes for a pleasurable aesthetic.  Simply stated, I expected a better brief in this price point.

Recently, I wore these for a full day which included my regular work schedule as well as a lot of physical activity.  I was constantly pulling these back around my buttocks.  I don’t think it was a problem with an ill fitted pair for my body size.  These briefs were a size medium and I have a 31 inch waist so I’m convinced this wasn’t the root of the problem.  Perhaps it’s simply a pair that didn’t get caught during quality control inspection.  However, buyer beware if this a common problem with you as well when trying to purchase the perfect pair.   I guess you can’t win them all but I have to stay true to my convictions and assessment.
